I'm pretty sure they wiped Epic and his papyrus out of the comic just so they wouldn't have to deal with them anymore.

At this point i've already blocked them for their hostility towards all things epic/epic being gay/shipping him with xgaster and the whole frans stuff. I don’t know if they are or not, because shipping Frans (or used to) and using f slurs while they actively seem to really really hate any gay ships but is very okay with lesbian ships seems a little strange. Potentially fetishizing perhaps, although maybe they’re just annoyed if they were constantly bombarded with sans x sans questions and stuff.

I don’t know Yugo, haven’t finished reading any of the Epictale content and i haven’t scrolled all through the blog, so I can’t say for sure. Maybe someone with more knowledge on this can chime in.

Although, after reading one of the links you sent me, i think you might’ve misread something.

The asker and yugo didn’t say they shipped Epic x XGaster or were okay with that, they say were okay with Epic Gaster x XGaster. No alternative sons being shipped with alternative fathers, although DILFs (im using this word just because they are both fathers not because i personally want to fuck them 💀) who are the same person are being shipped and yugo at least doesn’t mind or doesn’t care.

I don’t know what their issue is with their own characters and people liking them, but I think yugo probably needs to set some boundaries with fans if they haven’t already.

rather than getting annoyed when people inevitably ship best friends and one of them is their character who they make flirt with men, perhaps they should just ask people to not send them questions about sans x sans ships, or crepic if it really makes them that uncomfortable. and if anyone does, just delete the asks or comments or reblogs.

getting annoyed when people bring up or ask about the characters you made seems pretty strange to me, it’s just a sign that people really like your character enough to be obsessed with them, but i can understand if they got annoyed if epic was all anyone focused on and not any of the other characters. but in that case, they should probably just delete anything they get about epic (from fans) they don’t want to see or answer.

but to allow your emotions and fans like of your character to cause you to change a story, or erase or get rid of the character, just to spite the fans/character or just so you don’t have to deal with them seems very odd to me. perhaps yugo needs to take a step back from the Epictale “fanbase” and stop engaging with it.

they can’t control what fans do with their work and characters as soon as it leaves their own eyesight, and they’d be better off not stressing over it. and fans should respect them, and stop bringing fandom stuff to them like ships or asking their opinions on ships—no one needs a creator’s opinion on a ship.

epic is a different thing, since he’s literally a character in the story, and a sans at that—which of course means people will bring him up and ask about him. if they don’t want to answer anything about epic, they should make that very clear and then don’t answer. Not answer just to give annoyed, passive aggressive replies. I think it’s sad when creators allow a fanbase to taint and affect their feelings about their work.

2) At this job we are allowed to wear piercings and dyed hair. We are also allowed to wear ripped jeans if they are appropriate. The only jeans I have are ripped at the knees so I was fine but I double checked with my boss anyway lol. Some of the kids didn't believe I have a mohawk because I wear it at camp and one kid said I was a fake punk. So I asked my boss if it was ok to come in decked out. So next day my mohawk is styled, I did my makeup, I have all of my piercings in, and I'm wearing the most appropriate jeans/shoe combo I could think of (my job is outdoors and involves a lot of walking/hiking). All the kiddos love it. Got a lot of "Wait you actually have a mohawk!?" and "You look so cool!!" from the kiddos and "You look great btw. You're definitely gonna hate that outfit tho" from my fellow councilors lol. Other than the kids loving my fit not much else happens that day. But then the next day hits. One of the campers that saw me (we have over 173+ kiddos every week) finds me the next day and she now has used red hair dye as highlights for her hair. She then told me that she didn't know if this was a safe camp for her but after seeing me and hearing me talk about things she knew this was the camp for her because someone like me worked here confidently. I gave her the courage to dye her hair the way she wanted too and she stuck by me every time we had whole camp wide activities. She said she was gonna come back next year as a volunteer counselor (basically just a councilors helper) so she could learn to be someone like me.

That's adorable and I'm glad I could impact her life like that but I don't really think I did anything important enough? I just dressed up in my alt outfit and talked about my life. I just existed nearby? Idk guys. So many kids tell me this and it confuses me every time. I just can't wrap my head around it. Me simply existing as I am can't be that impactful can it??? I understand that some kids know nothing about some of my communities (lgbtq+, disabilities, traditions, interests) so when I talk about them I know I'm opening doors for them but enough for them to go "nah, that's the person I want to be like! Mhm, that extremely flawed person is perfect!" I also never understood role models in general so maybe that's why I don't get why kids say that stuff to me. Regardless I'm glad I could make her feel safe and comfortable. Her and the witch boy are friends now because she came over when we were talking about witches and apparently she's a green witch! So I'm working my seasonal summer job right? I don't personally think I'm doing anything too special. I dyed my hair a rainbow for pride month but it's not exactly out of the ordinary for me. Little do I know I have accidentally impacted multiple kids lives.

1) I have this kiddo who comes up to me everyday asking me questions constantly and gets so excited when he finds me the next day with more questions. He goes home and does research about what we're talking about. If I were a transphobe, I would brag about it. And for Olly's Quest for Fame... i feel like one things clear;

He definitely has some childhood trauma going on.

Him being sensitive about the hate comments, causing him to believe what they're saying about him, and doing what they say and getting and causing him to be more obsessed with everything.

I think he might've been bullied as a kid. I said this before but in this world if your a guy who's passion is clothing and fashion or something un-man like, you get called things (cough looking at you insta comments cough). I also feel like he might've not had as much money growing up; like his family was lower middle class at best, so that might be why Olly was so... controlling? Obsessive? About money and fame.

For his craving for fame, money, being recognized; him being bullied (troll comments), money (not having a lot growing up, his parents having trouble with money), and him wanting to be seen. He wants people to know what he's doing, that's he's doing something important something that people love and admire him for. Something I doubt he got as a child.

And for the way he's treating Paisley... it's obvious that he doesn't mean too. He never, ever, EVER will hurt Paisley on purpose, and we all know that. He's just blinded by the thought of finally being seen to realize that Paisley doesnt want to do any of it...

Another thing I was to talk about what he said; "My outfits are my identity!" That's not just something you just say, without any meaning. Designing outfits is his passion, one of the things he's loved all his life, and something thats always been there for him. And if what I said about his childhood is true, he's probably feeling very provoked and insecure about himself now, and he feels like he needs to be better.

Not saying this excuses how he's treating Paisley; Heck, I love love Paisley but she herself has to try and speak up to Olly but she's afraid she's going to lose him. And Olly thinks he's helping Paisley do what she loves, but he's gotten caught up in it with himself and now he can't see what's right in front of him.

On a different note; ZAC. This dude has come a long way from the first episode. He's literally AMAZING. His character development>>>>>>>>>>>> He's being such a good friend to Paisley, and they're friendship is so pure and kind <3 (but it better stay platonic, lego. gimme some friendship that stay friendships!!)

Also Aliya and Liann now know who Ley-La is!! I dunno if this is good or bad-

Olly's talk with Zac and then Aliya, I feel like this proves that he has something internal monsters to deal with but instead is projecting them onto the whole Ley-La thing.

But thats it. I NEEEEEEED Olly to apologize to Paisley and for him to see his mistakes; it better be REALLY good Lego, and it better be one of the BEST character arcs of all time.
