Struggling to get unrestricted on Amazon or other third-party platforms

As you know there are some catalogues on platforms like Amazon that are gated by default. Amazon does this to prevent anyone just selling products like creams, tanning solutions ect. Things that can carry a little more risk as far a liability, you don’t wanna rub hydroponic acid on your face. So these platforms do this to increase the requirements to become a seller in high liability categories.

It can be incredibly profitable to get ungated in beauty and grocery because if you think about it there is a ton less competition because not everyone has access to these categories. It used to be difficult to get ungated in these categories but now it is not. Some websites can do this for you and can cost thousands but now its likely to be a few hundred. They force you to make all these invoices buy all these products from different suppliers then you have to wait for it to ship to you. It can be frustrating! 

The guys I work with get’s this done in 3 days, you do no work yourself and it’s a one time payment. And your unrestricted for that category for life. So these category are incredibly profitable it’s very worth it. 

If you are new to eCommerce then you may not meet the requirements Amazon needs to get ungated. There are a few wholesale suppliers that are commonly used. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel it’s mostly common sense. Also amazon tend to be choosy about which suppliers they grant approvals to so it’s good to go with ones that work. 

Generally you need a website and significant sales. You need to prove these sales and receipts for your business and your business’s vision and how the platform can benefit from it. Block out prices or any other personal information from the receipts.
