Towa Otonashi - You couldn't sleep, worrying over what had occurred earlier that day.

You'd been on your way back from Jabberwock when a general student from Hotarubi approached you to ask you out. You felt bad saying no, so you told him you'd think on it.

Now, though, you were stuck in a situation you didn't want to be in. You had such a huge crush on Towa, but aside from some comments here and there he never actually seemed to want to date you. And here was this nice seeming guy who did want to date you..

You couldn't stand not being able to fall asleep any longer, so you hopped out of bed and went for a walk.

"What you doing up, Dandelion?~" You were so distracted that you hadn't noticed Towa come up to you until he talked, making you jump. He laughed at you lightheartedly, "Sill Dandelion"

"Towa! You scared me! Sorry, I was just lost in my own thoughts.."

"Whatchu thinking about Dandelion?"

"Well, I actually got asked out today and-"

You got cut off as a loud crack of thunder went off. Weird, the sky had seemed so clear before..

Before you could think too much on it, Towa wrapped his arms around you tightly. "You can't go out with anyone else. You're my Dandelion!" Towa whined, making your face heat up with a blush.

"Yours?" You asked nervously

"Mine. My Dandelion. You're going to go out with me instead, right?"

"Yeah, I'd love to."

Haku Kusanagi - "Hey Princess, how's your day going?" Haku greeted as you walked into the tea room of Hotarubi where you were meeting him for help with your studies.

"Weird, actually." You replied with a huff, plopping down to sit next to him. He raised a brow at you in question. "One of the general students from Frostheim came up to me after class, asked me out and practically forced me to take this little paper with his number on it and said 'think about it' before he ran off."

Haku had this strange look on his face for a moment before he grinned at you. "Can I see this paper he gave you?"

You thought it was an odd request, but you handed it over to him anyway. He didn't even look at it before he started tearing it up into little pieces.

"Princess, you don't need that guys number when you already have mine~ How about it, a date, just you and me?"

You blushed and couldn't keep the giddy grin off of your face. Here was your biggest crush, asking you out.

"Yes, of course." You replied happily

Haru Sagara - "Sorry I'm late Haru!" You called as you entered the Jabberwock dorm. You'd promised Haru you'd come help out with the animals today and had gotten delayed. While on your way there, one of the general students from Vagastrom had stopped to ask if you'd go out with him. You panicked and said you'd think about it before slipping away as fast as possible.

"No worries, MC!" Haru called back, "You're usually here early though, what kept you?"

You rounded the corner to see Haru prepping food for the smaller animals, and you started to help him out, as you explained about getting asked out.

Haru frowned and turned to you. "You said no, right? Peekaboo would be heartbroken to hear his mom is going out with someone else."

You blushed darkly, pausing in what you were doing as you turned to look at him. "W-what?" You asked in disbelief at what you were hearing.

"Peekaboo adores you as his mom and well, care to make it official? I know helping out with the animals isn't every girls dream date but once i get the money saved up we can-"

You cut him off by jumping forward and kissing him on the cheek. "I'd love to go out with you, Haru."

Taiga Hoshibami - You were making your way through Sinostra to go see Romeo. He'd asked you to come grab some documents from him that he wanted delivered. You were stopped however when one of the general students stepped in front of you.

You'd seen him around before. He usually stood guard outside the VIP lounge. You'd made small talk with him before when waiting on Romeo to grant you entry.

"Hey, MC? Do you got a sec?" He asked, seeming nervous. You didn't exactly want to face getting yelled at for being late, but, you also didn't want to be rude to this guy..

"Yeah, sure, what do you need?" You asked

"Well, I was actually wondering if you'd want to go out with me sometime. On a date."

You stared at him in shock. Oh, you had not been expecting that. You were struggling to come up with a way to turn this guy down when suddenly a loud crack of a gunshot was heard.

You both jumped as a bullet hit the wall inches from the guy, and a voice called out from behind you. "Get the fuck away from my Kitty Cat before the next one hits your skull."

The guy didn't need to be told twice, running off with a "Yes boss," as Taiga wrapped his arms around you and suddenly hoisted you up over his shoulder.

"Taiga?! What are you doing?!" You yelped.

"Takin' you where you can't get hit on by people that aren't me. Nobody's allowed to ask you out but me." Taiga grumbled as he carried you towards his room.

"Taiga! Put me down! You haven't even asked me out. What are you talking about?!"

Taiga got you to his room and set you down, caging you in against the wall "The fuck do you think this is? This is me asking you out Kitty Cat."

Oh. Oh!

"Of course I'll go out with you. You could have just asked normally, you know." You huffed.

"Where's the fun in that? Besides, this way, everyone knows you're mine~"

Jiro Kirisaki - You were in the lab of Mortkraken, helping out with whatever the two ghouls needed as their new assistant.

While you were there, one of the general students suddenly approached you. You were surprised. They usually avoided you, either because they feared getting yelled at by Yuri or because they just saw you as not worh their time.

"MC, I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me?" The student asked. Now you were even more surprised.

"Well, um, I really don't.."

"Look, I know this is sudden, but i think you're smart and would be a good match with me."

Before you could think of another way to tell this guy that no, you really didn't want to go out with him, Jiro came up behind you.

"MC, Yuri is looking for you. Come with me." He said before walking away. You hurried after him, grateful to be away from that situation.

Jiro led you to Yuri's office, where the doctor was nowhere to be seen. "I thought Yuri wanted me?" You asked, confused.

"I lied. You looked like you were uncomfortable and I didn't like that he was asking you out. It made me want to ask you out instead." Jiro admitted.

"Really? So, are you asking me out?" You asked, a blush on your cheeks.

"I am."

"Then I'd love to go out with you."

Lyca Colt - "Hey Lyca, sorry I'm late for our sfudy date!" You greeted as you entered Obscuary to meet with the werewolf.

"What made you so late?" Lyca pouted, "I thought you forgot about me.."

"Oh no! I didn't forget you!! I could never. You're my favorite. I got stopped on my way here by one of the general students from Frostheim, trying to ask me out on a date." You explained.

Lyca frowned a bit "A date? Isn't that like what we're doing?"

"Uh, not really. This is just us studying together."

He frowned more. "Then forget studying and go on an actual date with me. I don't want anyone else to date you."

You blushed and smiled happily, "Okay, I'd love to go on an actual date with you."

Hello! I wanted to ask how the Ghouls would react to an MC who's very close with Jiro? Like it's obvious to everyone in Darwick MC is WHIPPED for him and the ghouls are just like.. really? That guy 💀 idk, I feel like it would be humorous for the guys to find out MC's type is literally the guy everyone is afraid of lol

Jin - Alright who set the ice king on fire?? Jiro who? It might take him a second to recall mortkranken's vice captain. But once he does he's hopping mad, not that you'll see it. How is that freak show your favorite? His lack of personality and dry banter is ridiculous! What do you mean that reminds you of someone? Oh he's butthurt. Big butthurt.

Tohma - all in all he's not too bothered. He knew you would eventually find a ghoul you favored above the rest. While you did surprise him with who it was it didn't hurt him unlike his captain. Which he finds very amusing. Just try to keep Jiro from scaring the frostheim first years so much will you?

Lucas - he wants to let you know he supports you in all your endeavors of befriending the ghouls. If he feels a slight twinge of disappointment that it's not him he won't show it. He can't blame you though, as someone who's sparred with Jiro he knows the other is strong despite his illness and can easily protect you. He may try to drag Jiro into more friend stuff with you and Kaito much to the latter's dismay.

Kaito - speaking of... You thought he was loud before? Hope you have earplugs. He's breaking the sound barrier. What do you mean Frankenstein is your favorite ghoul?!?!!??! He's super creepy and greasy and scary!!!!! What do you mean it should be Frankenstein's monster? Huh? What are you defending him for?!??!?? Safe to say he's gonna need Luca to cool him off if you don't make him grovel with that disappointed look on your face.

Alan - I'm not even sure Alan knows him... But regardless maybe it's better that way. You should be around people who can keep you safe. Not people like him... Though he might start sighing more frequently after learning who your favorite is.

Sho - alright okay normally he's chill and all but he might take you aside and ask you if you're being coerced into saying this. No he's being serious this actually isn't a joke. He's concerned you don't know how to say no and wants to know if he needs to step in. Just tell him to cool his jets you're serious too. Though Sho's confident he can change your mind with enough homemade dinners and some one on one time...

Leo - augh he is fuckin fuming. It's so funny thinking about how mad he would be. Steam rising from his ears type anger. On the surface it's just his usual huffy behavior when he's in a bad mood. But really? Some nobody from mortkranken with bad hygiene and a worse personality? I mean being realistic he knew he wouldn't be your favorite but had hoped you had better taste. Will start bullying you harder about it and saying shit like you like them big huh? Like he's not also a size queen

Haru - I don't think this busybody has met a Kirisaki in his life. But he will pout a bit. Just for a second before playing his ace in the hole. Clearly peekaboo is your favorite!!! If you try to deny it your favorite little anomalous bunny baby will look dejected. So expect that to happen any time you bring up Jiro and favoritism.

Towa - uh oh... Who told him? You knew that was a bad idea but the storm cloud over jabberwock just gets bigger... How dare someone else become his dandelions favorite! Even if it is Zenji's little brother he won't forgive him! He's going to be glued to your side more than usual. Just don't bring Jiro around... We don't need to know how lightening would affect him...

Ren - it's fine or whatever!!! Who cares about your favorite ghoul??? Not him!!! He says good riddance, you would be way too annoying if he was your favorite anyway. You would never give him peace and quiet, you'd ask too many questions about his movies, or be useless in the games he wants you to play. Who cares!!! ...Ren. Ren cares a whole lot. He's going to be upset because you couldn't even pick a normal ghoul you had to pick one of the weird ones! Shut your tsundere ass mouth sir.

Taiga - if he remembers you is one thing, if he somehow remembers Jiro's existence is another entirely! This man doesn't even know what a mortkranken is... oh wait they have tasty anomalies in there? Nvm he remembers now. Oh, oh so when he pulls his gun out it's a problem but when this lug whips out his chainsaw it's totally fine??? Double standards kitty cat. How is that fair at all? He's actually more annoyed than you know.

Romeo - what ... Why?!?!!!?!!! That guy?!!!?!!? That's your favorite ghoul??!!!!! WTF is this sorry excuse for a joke you BB?!?! Pissed. Just fucking pissed, he thought you had better taste than that... The guy's a walking petri dish of germs that cause bad skin and eye bags. His fashion sense is worse than your taste!! God help you bc Romeo isn't letting this go easily.

Ritsu - clearly he misheard you. You're his business partner, so of course naturally he's your favorite... What do you mean Jiro Kirisaki is your favorite ghoul? That doesn't add up... Let him check his behavioral models... He's going to be trying to understand where his model is wrong for a while. Sorry he's going to short circuit over this. Hope you have him under warranty!

Subaru - are you sure you can't just fib a little bit??? Do you wanna see that sad face? The one he perfectly constructed for this moment when he sees you again after finding out? He looks so sad... But ultimately says he understands... You can't help who you find comfort in... Like how he finds comfort in you... Did you know you're his favorite along with Haku and Zenji and Lyca? You are. He's sorry. That sounds like he's trying to guilt trip you... He would never...

Haku - saw this coming much like Tohma. I mean you weren't falling for his charms, or Rui's, or Ed's, or Kaito's, or Towa's. He could go on about the advances you've ignored... But yeah he figured your type would be pretty different from them. Less energetic, not as flirty, definitely someone... Well okay not quite what he pictured but okay. You like what you like. He can see the charm, it's like if Zenji ever closed his mouth- don't repeat that princess. He can't make Zenji feel bad for his yapping nature.

Zenji - uh of course Jiro's your favorite?! He's his wonderful intelligent little brother! It would be ridiculous if he wasn't your favorite! Man is proud as a peacock like you said he was your favorite or something. Is just happy to know Jiro has someone else looking at him in a positive light. Definitely ignores the dull ache in his heart when he heard the news, that's unbecoming of a refined man like himself. Squashes any bit of jealousy like it's a horrible anomalous bug.

Edward - ughhh gramps is at it again. Guilt tripping you with intent to drag you away from mortkranken. He wants to spend more time with you suddenly. Don't ask why he's sniffing you more frequently, it's definitely not him checking if your sensuality has gotten stronger since you've been hanging out with that boy so much...

Rui - shot through the heart! And you're to blame! Baby you give lo- *whack* in all seriousness Rui is going to pull the playful tease of oh you must not care that much about him now that you've got a bigger stronger man around huh? Enjoying his replacement? Still flirting even when he's hurting. Has no bad feelings towards Jiro he just wishes he wasn't cursed so that maybe he could have changed your mind about who your favorite is...

Lyca - he's confused. Like at first he's mad, upset, hurt, goes down the slide of emotions about why it's not him. He said he'd protect you and take good care of you. Why is this weird smelling guy your favorite??? Pouting so hard whenever he sees you with Jiro. God forbid you go hang out with Lyca after you've been around Jiro long enough to smell like him. Wolf boy is so cranky!

Yuri - of course Jiro's your favorite! That's his best work in the flesh! In a way you're saying Yuri's work is your favorite! His not quite so little miracle of modern medicine. Yeah he's proud of it. It might sting a bit but nevertheless he's thrilled you care so much about Jiro. Someone else to keep up with his damn condition? Please and thank you, he needs an early warning system for when it acts up anyway.

What happened in Paris stays in Paris

Oh they've tried alright, multiple times really, but the only time they actually did get naked was in Paris and even then it didn't work as they planned it would

There was something in John's brain that would push him away from ever getting intimate with Paul. He'd put it off as his stupid prey brain overwriting his common sense and seeing Paul as a threat, which was stupid as the canine had never done anything to threaten him. In fact, if anything Paul was the one who's most likely to be scared of him.

He wasn't sure what or how it happened, but one night in Paris, John decided to be bold and ignore everything in his system telling him to hop and run. Paul didn't mind letting John take lead, not wanting to scare his best mate away (even when he's a little tipsy, he still couldn't fully let go of his inhibitions lest he accidentally hurt him). John went in slowly, fighting every single thoughts telling him to run run run and hide hide hide

When Paul tried to lean in to meet John halfway, he was shocked when he felt his jaws being forced open and an arm shoved in between. It took everything in his will power not to bite down on the intrusion. In front of him, John was equally flabbergasted with one arm inside his jaws and the other hand forcing them open. He looked as if he was contemplating whether to pull back or shove his arm deeper. It was as if his hare brain had suddenly given up trying to tell him to run and instead forced him to surrender his fate to the Carnivore and get eaten. It took a whole minute for John to finally willed his mind to let go of Paul's jaws and stop trying to shove himself in. Paul would never admit it but it was one of the longest minute of his life, having to fight the urge to just bite down on a Herbivore willingly giving himself to him. Neither slept the entire night, still in shock and trying to process whatever just happened.

They've never tried anything ever since then. They never mentioned it again, both were terrified to face the implication that maybe their friendship or whatever their relationship was at the time wasn't based off pure camaraderie but something else. Besides, whatever they had was great, no point in jeopardizing it.

“Boo! Boo!” an angry Peekaboo chirped. How long has it been since you paid your friends at Jabberwock a visit? You lost track after being bombarded left and right with missions. The days blurred into weeks, so it’s become nigh impossible to keep track of how long it’s been before you got any proper rest. And it looks like Peekaboo was not happy with your absence. He stamped on the floor in indignation, and poor Haru was mortified.

“Peekaboo!” He chided, wagging a finger at the peeved creature. “MC’s been super busy! Don’t you yell at them!”

You couldn’t help but chuckle, the sound came out surprisingly light. “It’s fine. I get it. The little guy must’ve missed me a lot. Honestly... I missed him too.” You reached out, giving Peekaboo a fond scratch on the head, even as it huffed and turned its back on you with exaggerated flair. Though he soon melted into your touch, almost purring like a contented cat. 

“Those missions must have been exhausting,” Haru said. You always did appreciate how much he doted on the anomalous animals as if they were his children. And that care extended to his ghoul and human friends alike. Right now his eyes were scanning you from head to toe. If you were trying to hide any sign of fatigue, you were doing a really bad job at it. Your clothes were clean and it seems like you took a well-deserved shower earlier, but your posture and dark circles betrayed how exhausted you were. You looked like an invertebrate. He grinned suddenly, breaking through your haze of exhaustion like sunlight after a storm.

“Lucky for you,” he said, “I already tackled all the chores at Jabberwock. The dorm’s spotless, the kitchen’s stocked, and we’ve got the whole place to ourselves!”

“And it’s not even 3pm?” You said. “I’m impressed! And kind of concerned. I really don’t deserve you. Or Peekaboo for that matter”

“Don’t be silly!” Haru teased with a wink. “But lucky for you, Peekaboo and I are a package deal.”

Even as exhaustion tugged at your body, the warmth in your chest was undeniable. For now, you could finally rest, surrounded by friends who always seemed to know exactly what you needed.

“I hope you’re hungry because I prepared a picnic just for the three of us!” He went in and out of the kitchen so fast you’d think he teleported. You’d slap him silly if he was using his stigma. You were well aware of how much of a toll it takes on his body and you’d rather he didn’t exhaust himself to take care of you.

“Wow, Haru. Thank you,” you said. Then, narrowing your eyes in mock sternness, you added, “But I swear, if you wore yourself out making this, I’ll be very cross with you.”

“You’re sweet, MC, but I’m totally fine!” He said with a chuckle.

Unconvinced, you raised an eyebrow at him and then turned your gaze to Peekaboo. “Peekaboo, spill the beans—did papa overwork himself?”

The small round creature shook his body from side to side, an emphatic “no.” You smirked, biting back a laugh. “Good,” you replied. “I’d be sad too if he did.”

Haru burst out laughing, and you couldn’t help but join him, your gratitude bubbling to the surface in the form of warm, unrestrained laughter.

“Thanks, Haru,” you said again, softer this time. “You’re the best.”

“Always,” he replied, his grin as bright as the relief blooming in your chest."

And so, Haru gently wrapped his arm around you, his touch steady and comforting, and guided you outside to bask in the sunlight. Haru laid out the picnic blanket and arranged the food as Peekaboo was darting around like a tiny whirlwind of energy. Everything about this scene felt so perfect to you. You felt like a spouse returning home from a long and grueling day of work to the warm smile of your partner and the laughter of a rambunctious child.

“Peekaboo seems really energetic today,” You chuckled as you watched the little white furball run around like a child on sugar. Haru chuckled, his gaze lingering on you with quiet fondness. “He’s excited to have you back.”

You laughed, cutting him off before he could say more. “That’s fine. I’ll take this over the chaos of those missions any day.”

Haru’s smile was warm, his gaze holding yours as though the rest of the world had faded away. His hand brushed gently along your cheek, his touch feather-light yet grounding. As his face leaned closer, his lips parting slightly, you felt your breath hitch—a shared moment, intimate and unspoken, drawing you together.

Your gaze softened, your heart swelling as you leaned into him, meeting his lips in a tender, lingering kiss. The world could wait.

“Boo! Boo!” Peekaboo called out to you demanding to play. You turned to see him determinedly rolling a ball toward you, his little body puffed up with impatience. You pulled away with a laugh, the warmth in your chest still there. 

“We’ll pick up where we left off later,” he promised, his voice low and teasing, his thumb brushing your cheek one last time. “Alright, Peekaboo, we’ll play with you.”

Haru stood, offering you his hand with a grin. “Let’s make sure we give him some good memories, too.”

As the three of you played, laughter echoing in the air, the earlier tenderness lingered, a quiet promise that moments like these—filled with love and joy—were the ones you treasured most."

Social events after the company's success were inevitable. Haru had grown more confident in herself thanks to her college classes with a minor in business management. Most of her time was focused on cultivating her own garden and growing her own coffee beans in order to make her café a reality. The problem was that she was unaware of what waltzes were supposed to be like. She was more skilled in ballet, so she asked Ren for his help.

He was as clueless as she was at first, but thanks to the music coming from the speakers in her room, and a hand resting on his shoulder, the other on his back, she let her body sway to the rhythm while doing her best to maintain eye contact with him.

You decided you were going to paint your nails to match with your favorite ghoul. Afterall, you just wanted to show some subtle way of matching with him since you couldn't have the house pins like they did. When you went to see him the next day, you were excited to see if he would notice the change.

Lucas Errant - “Luca!” You called out in greeting when you saw him sitting in your usual area waiting for you to meet up with him so the two of you could walk together.

He beamed when he saw you and waved at you, “How are you doing?” He asked once you reached him, always the gentleman looking out for you.

“I'm good, and I wanted to show you something I did.” You replied, holding out one of your hands to show off your newly painted purple nails.

“That looks pretty, the shade is very familiar.” He commented.

“Well it would look familiar, I actually painted them to match your eyes so that we could somehow match since you're honestly my favorite person here and I don't know what I'd do without you.” You confessed. As you talked Luca gained this look of awe and amazement on his face, a light blush also gracing his features. He looked as though you'd just given him the purest thing in the world to hold onto.

“This is such a sweet gesture, and I'm so happy you feel safe enough to call me your favorite. Truth be told, you're my favorite too.” He admitted, making you grin and blush. “Do you think you could paint my nails to match with your eyes?” He asked, and of course, you happily agreed.

Jiro Kirisaki - You were helping Jiro out in the lab, mostly sorting out stacks of papers that he and Yuri had left strewn about and hadn't the time to organize themselves. “Pass me that report for Yuri's latest test on subject A-2” Jiro asked you and you dutifully found the paper he was talking about and passed it over to him. As you did, he caught a glimpse of your nails.

He grabbed a hold of your hand and looked closer to examine it.

“It's nail polish.” You explained quickly, suddenly unsure if he even knew what it was.

“Why this colour?” He asked, finally releasing your hand. You shrugged and bit your lip.

“I wanted to match you.” You muttered and he looked at you, face unreadable as always.

“This isn't the colours of Mortkraken.”

“No, it's the colour of your eyes.” You answered quietly, though he still heard you as a small smile quirked his lips upward.

“Why me and not Yuri?” He asked.

“You're my favorite.” You responded immediately, and his smile grew a little more. He didn't say much else about it, but he would glance at your hands every so often, and a small smile would grace his face whenever he got to see that matching colour again.

Yuri Isami - “Yuri, I sent Jiro to go shower so I'm bringing in your tea instead.” You called out as you entered his office. You'd come to help out the duo and already could tell they were on another of their multi day work bingers.

“Hmph, fine, thank you.” Yuri mumbled, glancing up from whatever he was reading as you started to set out the tea for him. He raised a brow when he spotted your nails.

“Matching to the colours of Mortkraken?” He asked, “I knew you must have some sense if I made you my assistant.”

“Actually Yuri, it's meant to match your eye colour. You just happen to have eyes practically the same colour as your house colour.” You answered, watching as a deep blush rose on his face.

“Wh-well-I-uh-WHY??” Yuri finally stammered out.

“Because you're my favorite.” You replied with ease, holding back a laugh at his extremely flustered state. That only made his blush worsen and he hid his head in his hands.

Oh you were definitely going to keep wearing this nail colour.

Ritsu Shinjo - Ritsu noticed your new nail colour right away as you sat down next to him to try and study some of the laws he wanted you to be able to know from memory.

“Oh, I'll have to update your behavioral file, I hadn't realised this was a habit of yours.” He commented, examining the colour.

“It's usually not, but I just wanted to match with you.” You admitted, shrinking down a bit in your seat from embarrassment as he turned his gaze up to meet yours.

“Match me?” He asked. “Clearly you were not going for the colours of sinostra unless you have a colour blindness I have been unaware of. Though I doubt that is the case, meaning that this colour is intended to match my eyes, am I correct?”

You nodded, a dark blush creeping over your features.

“Why?” He asked, seeming a bit unsure.

“Because you're my favorite and I wanted to show that, even if just with some nail polish.” You replied softly, watching as a light blush crept across his features.

“Well, I'm deeply flattered, and, you're my favorite too.”

Haru Sagara - “PEEKABOO HI BABY!!” You called out in greeting when you saw the cute little creature making his way over to you when you entered the Jabberwock dorm.

“I hope Peekaboo isn't the only one who gets a hug?” Haru pouted as you hugged the fluffy anomaly close. Before you could answer him he leaned in close and examined your nails.

You couldn't quite figure out what colour would best match with Haru, having not seen his eye colour before, so you went with a sort of fun colour mix. You did alternating colours of orange, to match Haru's uniform, and white, to match with Peekaboo.

“Those are some fun colours” Haru commented as you passed his fluffy son back to him.

“I picked them to match with you two.” You admitted, watching as his face just lit up.

“Oh you're just the best, it's no wonder Peekaboo and I see you as a mom to him.” Haru confessed, making you blush deeply.

“Really?” You asked hopefully. He nodded and his grin grew wider.

“How about after we get some work done we go on a family date?”

“That sounds amazing.”

Edward Hart - You frowned a bit as you looked at your still unanswered text message as you sat at Rui's bar. You'd texted Ed you were coming over to Obscuary to hang out in the hopes that maybe he'd actually come downstairs. Despite what everyone else thought, you quite liked the vampire, and had been hoping that if he showed up you could show him that you'd made your nails match with him.

Just when you'd decided to give up and just enjoy Rui and Lyca's company only instead, you felt someone lean in close behind you, their hair tickling the sides of your face and pale fingers grabbed your hand to examine your nails.

“My, all this for me?” Ed teased from behind you. “That really is quite adorable.”

Drat, you forgot he could read your mind if he wanted to, and you'd been so focused on wanting to show him you'd probably bascially been screaming your thoughts at him.

“You are my favorite after all, and I wanted us to match.” You replied, turning just enough to look at him. He grinned and put a hand over his heart.

“My dear you'll make my undead heart beat again with such proclamations. I'm far too old for you to be toying with me so, my frail mind can't take it.”

You just laugh softly, knowing it's mostly an act, blushing when he leans into you more.

“You know, there's more than just matching you can do to show me I'm your favorite”

Oh I see we enjoyed that one. I foresee a series in my future... Okay so let's say Taiga is your favorite ghoul and some how everyone finds out! Their reactions as follows:

Jin - I'm sorry but he's going to be insane about this. Absolutely floored by this information. You picked who? He's your favorite? Taiga? The guy who can't sit down and listen to an assembly without being bribed? Are you insane? Jin's brain might be imploding.

Tohma - Well congrats you've gotten a face crack out of him. The sinostra captain? Actually concerned for you. Might suggest some therapy... of all the ghouls to pick you picked that guy? Talk about falling for the bad boy...

Lucas - Oh sweet summer child is big worried about you. It's like you're a danger magnet and he needs to be there to unstick whatever bad thing comes your way. He's actively bothered that you'd choose him as your favorite when he has never seen Taiga try to defend you.

Kaito - For once he's fucking silent. Just staring wide eyed like he's never heard anything more insane in his life. The guy that makes Romeo lose his mind is your favorite ghoul? The destructive force of nature that is Taiga... asks if you got yourself into debt too. Are you being blackmailed? You can tell him!

Alan - I don't see him having had much interaction with Taiga before but knowing Alan he probably knows enough that he's sure you're in more danger around that head case than you'd ever be in at Vagastrom. If he hears about you going near sinostra he might send Sho to go protect you... he knows he can't go himself. It's too obvious by the way his jaw clenches that this is worrying him.

Sho - Oof. He's... alright I'm basing this off a headcanon that Hyde went to Darkwick as a student and was in sinostra. All sinostra students are public enemy number one. You're telling him that homicidal shark boy gangster is your favorite ghoul? God your head is more fucked than he thought... lowkey bitches about being told to tail you to sinostra but sits nearby with Bonnie just in case...

Leo - Are you stupid or just mental? Wow... he's kinda impressed by how non existent your sense of danger is. Oh wait is it a kink? You like feeling like you're in danger so you go after the most unstable bastard you can find? God that's sad. He's reeling on the inside about just how danger prone you are. Might start getting closer to Romeo in an attempt to keep tabs on you when you're there.

Haru - Do you not love peekaboo anymore?!??!??! How could you favor Taiga?!?!!?? That loan shark with questionable eating habits and an itchy trigger finger?! He'll joke that he's not sure if he can let you babysit for him anymore. A bit hurt like actually though...

Towa - Oh anger. So much anger and storm clouds. Why is flytrap your favorite when he's right here dandelion? Says you should stay away from flytrap. He wouldn't want you to fall into his big hungry jaws and get stuck. Demands you change your favorite right now.

Ren - Huh? He wasn't sure before but he is now. He really is the only sane person in this school. How many times has this guy had you at gun point? Are you trying to get your ass shot? God you're weird. Shuts himself off more than usual after he finds out. No he's not pouting shut up!

Romeo - The BTH? The lunatic that can't DHFJ?! What do you mean he's your favorite?!?!?! Are you trying to give him an aneurysm?! Fine! Take him with you! Less trouble for Romeo! If he tries to shoot you or cut you up or eat you you can't return him! You knew the risks!

Ritsu - Actual short circuiting. Wide eyes, gaping like a fish, clutching his pearls pose. You can't favor one of your clients! That's inappropriate! Internally combusting over the revelation that he's not your favorite.

Subaru - Oh the pity in his eyes... It's like he's seen this kind of thing before. Recalls a lot of doomed lovers type of plays because of this. Knows of Taiga more than knows him as far as I'm concerned he stays the hell away from that guy. He hopes you're being careful, don't be surprised if you start getting more invites for tea. But just for you and him...

Haku - Princess be so serious right now. Didn't that guy try to throw you out of a moving train??? He injured you, he's a danger to everyone including himself, he's also kinda douchy... What? who said that? Not Haku! And if he starts doing protection rituals at night nobody is going to say shit so don't ask.

Zenji - 100% is always so nice about everyone and would probably compliment taiga's clothes. But! My personal feelings about his reaction are that he calls Taiga a cad. He does not like the guy. He's disrespectful, he doesn't know how to keep his dirty mouth shut, he's always shooting first and thinking later. He's a dreadful person what's wrong dear? Do you need to talk something out? He's all ears doll just come to him.

Edward - Oh he's wounded. Just downright pouty. You consider Ed dangerous but somehow you're not phased by Taiga? Darling you shouldn't scare an old man like that. What if he has a heart attack? Ignore that he likely doesn't have a heartbeat...

Rui - Internal reaction -> OTL Tai? You like Tai more than him? Don't get it twisted Tai used to be alright... But you never met him back then. You only have whatever he's got going on now to go off and you still picked him? There is some uuuuugly jealousy in this blond boy's heart right now.

Lyca - After asking around about who the guy is he isn't leaving your fucking side. Ever again. You need constant protection in his eyes. Are you losing your mind or is something going on that you aren't telling him? Doesn't matter, werewolf backpack mode activated

Yuri - ...Jiro get a cat scan set up stat. He has got to figure out what brain injury caused this. It would be one thing to pick a Frostheim favorite... aka painful. But to pick one of the most destructive and dangerous ghouls? Oh he needs to run tests immediately!

Jiro - You aren't getting more than a slightly raised brow line. His shock isn't visible. Definitely says your life expectancy will go down the longer you hang around that guy. I don't think Jiro would like him much either. I mean the guy keeps eating their would be test subjects after all. Doesn't bring attention to the weird feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Taiga - Was in a bad mood when you told him and it flipped the switch to happy Taiga instantly. Cackles and tells you you're a smart kitty. But... he's not surprised, he saw this coming after all. Who else could be your favorite?
