Given how often Mechi has been targeted by the Sibling Distribution System (man went from loner to QUADRUPLETS), kinda surprised none of the other colonists have ended up with clones/siblings.

...hypothetically speaking, how would they react if they did tho?

I think they'd mostly all be pretty okay with having a clone—even excited in some cases!

Ivy would definitely enjoy having a sister to hang out with. They could talk about sculpting and yaoi and the backrooms and their cat, Prudence, for hours on end and have an absolute blast.

It would be nice for Alistair to have another awakened android to chat with about the experience of being a non-organic sentient being, assuming the obelisk cloned him in his awakened state.

Jut would love having someone he could chat in French with who wasn't a code-switching toddler or one of those monstrous people who get the pronunciation of everything wrong (see: everyone else in the colony).

I think Beau would readily accept a clone and enjoy making Jut particularly flustered with all sorts of teasing and lighthearted pranking.

Tupelo and Two-pelo might have minor arguments about ownership of the toxic wastepacks and the guaranlen/anima nexus tree, but in the end, they'd be ride-or-die for each other. A little healthy sibling rivalry would be fun to draw, too!

Cora would be the most unaffected, I reckon. Since she's not awakened yet, it would be the same as how a mechanoid would react to having another mechanoid pop out of gestation. Nothing particularly exciting or noteworthy. Just another day.

Flapjack might end up doing a Kwahu-braid thing with his beard so he could be differentiated from his clone, maybe braiding flowers or something into it? He and his clone would have the most beautiful and magnificent beards on the rim for sure.

As for Dani, she's still a little bit young to fully understand the implications, but I think she'd have a lot of fun with another toddler around. They'd have a blast convincing Jut to do whatever they wanted, because if he can't say no to one daughter, how will he ever resist the adorable dress-up tea-party invitations of two daughters???

Well... I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it "cool", but I definitely have been drawing Steve and Bori a lot lately. Not in their in-game clothes (those look too hot/difficult to draw), but I mean... I gave them comfy PJs, so that's something. They can have a slumber party while holed up in a safehouse waiting for Liv to finish doing her Big Important Liv Things.

It's such a fun game, though. I did not expect the story part to punch me in the gut as much as it did!!

Been living the rimworld life vicariously through Mechi and company for a while while I rest from the game and based on your stories I was wondering what difficulty you play on. It seems pretty chill compared to my pathological need to turn up the threat slider. I recently figured out that 500% is a bit much with Combat Extended installed. Managed to get both my hussar's eyes shot out like two months into the next playthrough too. Sorry, colonists.

My colonies are very chill usually. I'm playing on Randy Random with the Adventure Story setting. It's easier to come up with fun stories when I'm not fighting for survival every two minutes, plus it's much easier to draw comics when the colonists are just having a cozy day in the garden or the workshop instead of shooing off raiders and such.

I'm always so awed when people play on 500%. They're so good at the game!! I just build pretty houses and smile fondly when my colonists make small talk. Someday, I should try playing a harder challenge, though something tells me the story would be much more tragic than any of the ones I've done so far. I think I'd cry if I had to draw any of my colonists getting their eyes shot out...

she’s an artist. she’s got DID and it’s not villainized. her armor is a bunch of tiny freaks in a trench coat. she’s good friends with one sword and traumatized another as a child but they are rebuilding that relationship. she infiltrated the mafia. her husband supports trans rights and I think she does too but this hasn’t been confirmed and probably won’t be for at least 3-5 years in our timeline. probably more. she needs therapy but was probably one of the reasons it was invented. she’s also ginger. I’m not saying who it is but you know who it is.
