i don’t think it’s unreasonable to see helios as black, you tend to draw pretty racially ambiguous characters, besides. i also agree with that other anon, even if both of the men are adults, kiida is still much older than both of them
Number one. (Art credits to poke.)

Number two. How many times do I gotta reiterate that kiida is an antagonist who does bad things and also the thing going on between her and Helios is freaky but consensual.
#also . racially ambiguous characters????#what do you mean by that????? I’m genuinely confused?????#I’ve made it clear with all my ocs about what race they are and where they’re from because I think that’s important?

I dunno why the colorism thing with ancient Greek myths came to be like, helios is a big connection Greeks made to the idea of darker skin, especially why those from other countries are like that (Phaethon is an underrated myth). The simple logic of "close to the sun = darker skin" is something already in mythology. there are already gods connected to darker skin like eos too. so uh... why is Calypso portrayed as black and Circe (literally a daughter of the sun) as white in everything?
You're absolutely right to want actual sources rather than just modern interpretations. The idea that Helios and his descendants were depicted as darker-skinned is a modern misconception. Ancient Greek texts and art do not describe Helios, Circe, or any of his children as having particularly dark skin.
Helios is consistently described as radiant, golden, and shining, rather than dark-skinned. His main features are his brilliance and association with light, not his complexion.
- Homeric Hymn to Helios (31.1-4):
> “And now, O Muse Calliope, daughter of Zeus, sing of bright Helios, whom mild-eyed Euryphaessa bore to Hyperion. As he rises in the sky, he brings light to the mortals and to the immortal gods.”
- Pindar, Olympian Ode 7.71-73:
> “Golden-haired Helios, who brings light to men and sees all things.”
The most consistent physical trait associated with Helios is golden hair, not dark skin. Ancient vase paintings also depict him as a standard Greek male, often with a crown of sun rays but never with darker skin than other figures.
Circe, as the daughter of Helios, is never described as having dark skin. Like her father, her primary feature is her radiance and divine beauty.
- Homer’s Odyssey (10.136-139):
> “She is a dread goddess with braided hair, a great and terrible goddess, with human speech and a goddess’ beauty.”
Nothing here or elsewhere suggests her skin was any darker than a typical Greek depiction of divine women. Ancient Greek pottery almost always shows Circe in standard Greek feminine features, sometimes pale, sometimes standard skin-tone, but never specifically dark-skinned.
Calypso is a nymph, and like most nymphs, she is simply described as divinely beautiful, without specific reference to her skin color. She is sometimes theorized to live near North Africa (if Ogygia is placed near the Atlantic or Mediterranean), but this doesn’t mean she was depicted as having dark skin.
- Homer’s Odyssey (5.55-57):
> "There she found Calypso at home. A great fire blazed in the hearth, and the scent of burning cedar and sweetwood spread across the island."
- Homer’s Odyssey (5.239-242):
> "The radiant goddess Calypso seated him on a shining chair, asked him who he was and whence he had come, and why he wandered over the sea."
Her main descriptors are radiance and divine beauty, similar to other nymphs like the Pleiades or Naiads. Ancient Greek artwork of Calypso (though less common) does not depict her as darker-skinned.
Ancient Greeks did recognize different skin tones, but they used them in a very specific way:
Greek men were often depicted with tanned skin due to outdoor life.
Greek women and goddesses were often depicted as pale because they were idealized as staying indoors.
Foreigners ( Ethiopians, Trojans, or Egyptians) were explicitly described as having darker skin.
The myth of Phaethon scorching parts of the Earth (Ovid’s Metamorphoses) does reference the idea that proximity to the sun creates darker skin, but this is a mythological explanation for actual ethnic diversity, not an indication that sun gods or their descendants were dark-skinned themselves.
Modern depictions of Circe as pale and Calypso as Black are likely influenced by:
1. Western fantasy tropes: Witches and sorceresses are often depicted as pale and ethereal (thanks to medieval and Victorian aesthetics).
2. Hollywood racial coding: Dark-skinned women are often cast in “exotic” or mysterious roles, which fits Calypso’s role in The Odyssey.
3. Misinterpretation of “sun = dark” myths: While Phaethon’s myth explains skin tone variation, that logic was never applied to Helios, Circe, or their divine descendants.
There is no ancient source describing Circe or Helios as darker-skinned. They are described with radiance, golden hair, and beauty, fitting the standard Greek portrayal of deities. Calypso is never described as dark either—her role as a nymph suggests she was envisioned like other Greek goddesses. The modern tendency to portray Circe as pale and Calypso as dark is a modern artistic choice, not something rooted in mythology.
#i have also drawn Calypso with more of a dark skin because it makes sense as a nymph and her geographical position#however not to change her ethnicity#that said there are also many points in which association with the sun doesn't equal a darker skin#again many have the freedom to draw what they want#however it's also important to establish the sources based on these characters#ask

I am extremely impressed about how popular my occult analysis of Utena became. Thanls to all. So, I thought lets continue and now, lets continue with the rose bride. To do this, lets do a small detour to another series Kunihiko Ikuhara was involved in. Lets talk about sailor moon. You read that I already talked about the masonic pillars and that they represent male and female spiritual energies as well as the moon and the Sun. And that the Middle between the pillars symbolises the unity between moon and Sun.

You might have noticed this composition which is frequently used in sailor moon. Sailor moon uses the same masonic symbolism as Utena.
In many spiritual traditions, male and female were originally united and one of the first stages of the fall of Man is seen as splitting up the male and the female. Plato is famous for talking about that but this is also part of the myth of the Zulu in africa (Credo Mutwa frequently talked about that.) and it also appeared in Hinduism and Kabbalism. Due to these ideas, in germany, its common to call ones wife your "other half" or "your better half" because its Custom to think that your spouse helped you regain that lost unity.
One of the first Actions of queen beryl in the Story was literally to make the boys (endymion and the shitennou) fight against the girls. That was the first Step of the fall.
Sailor Moon as the moon Princess also symbolises the divine feminine lunar principle. In tradition and esotericism, the lunar principle is associated with the virtue of care which usagi definitely displays and with a certain way of chaotic and highly Dynamic but less focused thinking and with emotions. All traits displayed by usagi. And usagis crystal is the silver crystal. In alchemy, silver represents femininity and the moon. (Interestingly, madoka in madoka magica is also connected to silver. Best example here the Song of "your silver garden" in the Ending of the third Film. )
Interestingly, sailor moon is often depicted as standing on the moon sickle. In traditional art, she shares this trait with depictions of the Virgin Mary, the ideal feminine in Christianity.

Mamoru got the Golden crystal. Gold is a symbol for the solar masculine principle. And he got the golden crystal from the sun God helios. And his zodiac sign is the lion. The lion mane is associated with the rays of the sun making the lion another sun symbol. (One other depiction of that is in pokemon Solgaleo which literally means Sun Lion.)
According to certain occultists like Julius Evola and the freemason Manly Palmer Hall, the role of the divine masculine is to help the feminine gain and maintain focus and Stability. This is exactly what Mamoru does to Usagi in the series and to his daughter. (When mistress nine steals chibiusas heart, he literally stabilizes her mind.)
Mamoru often does astonishingly few things in the fight. He mostly helps others do the right thing. This fits with the occult idea of the male as the immovable mover and the Calm stable principle. Like Taoist Lao Tsu wrote " the wise man does nothing but ensures that everything needed to do gets done"
In alchemy, the combination of Gold and silver, due to it meaning man and woman is called a chemical Wedding.
German has a certain trait that in older texts, you can replace the Letter E with Ü and Y. One of the few words where this is still common is the german word denkt (meaning someone thinks) or denken (to think). This can be written as Dünken or dünkt sometimes.
The most famous use of the Word chemical Wedding is in the foundational rosicrucian Text Die Chymische Hochzeit des Christian Rosenkreuz. There, this alchemical Ritual is performed in a tower to resurrect a Dead prince.

This tower is the symbolism between Akio and his Tower.

(By the way. Some depictions of the tower in the rosicrucian book depict the tower as an Obelisk and in ancient egypt, the tower represents the lost phallus of Osiris.)
youtube
CG Jung called the solar and lunar principle Anima and Animus. They are also frequently depicted as twins. Like anthy and akio.
Now, lets finally go to anthy. Her symbolism is more complex. She has traits of the biblical whore of Babylon. Especially in her colour symbolism (Red and purple) . Interestingly, sailor moon uses the exact same symbolisms for its female villains. Especially queen berlin and mistress nine. Anthys Name is connected to the greek godess hera and she shares some similarities to the Pistis Sophia in gnosticism. (Similar to Eve Tokimatsuri in megazone 23)
But now, I want to talk about something else. You know Anthy looks Hindu.

There is a certain left hand path tradition called Tantra which is heavily connected to both Hinduism and Buddhism. (Some anthropologists suggests tantra is a kind of tribal tradition originating from people conquered by the Indians.)

Part of Hinduism is the concept of the divine feminine as Shakti. Shakti is on the one hand this split of feminine site as explained above.
The other aspect is the idea of the divine female principle as energy, power and the ability to do something. (Shakti also literally means energy. There is a certain Ritual to energize someone in tantrism called a Shaktipat.) Kabbala has similar ideas which is an explaination for the so called kabbalistic Flash (where every male Action needs to be Enhanced by a feminine sephiroth leading to a zick zack path)
This concept is also linked to the concept of practical intelligence versus conceptual intelligence. (And interestingly, according to neurologist Simon Baron Cohen, certain people whose brain development was influenced by too much Testosterone have problems with practical intelligence leading to problems in hand eye coordination and movement. This is one origin of the trope of the Nerd who is terrible at sports.)
Due to this, another metaphor for the Shakti is the sword, because the warrior is able to Perform an Action due to having a sword. In Utena, swords are famously generated by womans bodies.
Another metaphor for the Shakti is the term "the bride". And according to occultist Julius Evola, in tantric groups, there are spiritual Contests and only the spiritually strongest is said to fully pocess "the bride". In the context of Utena, this sounds very familiar.
By the way, one infamous aspect of Tantra is orgies. While Utena does not depict that, the series is very promiscous with changing relationships. Sometimes in the Show it really seemed that almost everyone at least once had a relationship with almost everyone else.😅 (By the way, the most famous tantric book is the Kama Sutra.)
One other aspect here. Utena as a character is infamously based on Haruka from sailor moon

And both Haruka and Utena are the most famous tomboys in anime history. While both indeed have a certain small connection to the solar principle (both their Names Tenoh and Tenjou refer to the heaven and the idea of heaven is connected to the solar principle via the greek god Apollon), both of them do not Meet the idea of the "immovable mover".
And tomboys both in Literature and in real life are more associated with energy, dynamism and being wild. ( For example, marle from chrono trigger is once called a tomboy and there is a dialogue where in the next sentence is said "I would like to know how wild she really is")
You see, this fits VERY well with the idea of the feminine as Shakti and energy. (By the way, my girlfriend is a tomboy as well and the idea of shakti energy fits her very well, as well as the tantric metaphor to "ride the tiger")
Utena is more Shakti than solar "immovable mover"
And like I said, Tantra is connected to nomadic, tribal people. The idea of the tomboy is frequently connected to huntresses in civilizations like Mongolia or the japanese Ainu. (Nakoruru from samurai shodown with her pet wolf is also a very good example here.) Sometimes, the greek godess Diana is also mentioned here.

There is also a certain theory that the metaphor of the trapped, oppressed godess (like the gnostic Pistis Sophia and the greek Hera which was one influence on Anthy) might represent the conquering of nomadic civilizations by partriarchical agrarian "right hand path" civilizations.
Aleister crowleys successor Kenneth Grant and the Hippie Philosopher terrence McKenna both also associated the left hand path with nomadic, tribal, paleolithic cultures.

Another aspect about the whole thing. According to the anthropologist and occult researcher Herman Wirth, ancient Germanic Tribes had female priestresses. These priestresses which used magic cauldrons were called the So called Hags. This is where the english term old hag comes from. The german word Hexe (meaning witch) is also derived from the term hag. They were also Experts in medicine etc.
But when the Odin worship was established, the Hags were more and more ostracized, oppressed and sidelined. Later leading to Christian witch hunts. The war between the aesir and the nature gods of the vanir is also seen as a metaphor for the depowerment of the witches and this war in myth has a function akin to the original sin.)
Anthys role as a witch and her slow demonization parallels these theories about real witches rather well.
(Side Note. Herman Wirth is also referenced in Final Fantasy 7. Professor Gast has a similar history and a similar appereance to Herman Wirth and in german, a Gast is a term which can refer to a customer of a Wirth. This also connects Aerith to this topic.)
Madoka Magica has a similar witch symbolism but uses it more as a metaphor for Kierkegaards existential despair and sin as a result of despair.

Fantasy High Webtoon - Pros, Cons, Personal Thoughts
Get ready for an absurd amount of text.
I went ahead and paid for all of the episodes of the Webtoon currently available, so please proceed with caution if you've just read the free episodes. (If you've seen FHFY, though, there's really no new content for you to worry about being spoiled on.) As always, it's my opinion, you are feel to disagree with me because I am but a human with a much-too strong attachment to the characters of this actual play.
You'll notice there's a lot more cons than pros: This doesn't mean I dislike the comic, I just find it easier to verbalize criticisms than compliments when it comes to adaptations of things I love. I want the things I love to do well, and that comes with me sort of being a bit of a pedantic nerd, so of course, feel free to call me out and/or disagree in the comments.
TL;DR: It's a fine Webtoon, for me. It doesn't quite do what the original does for me, and that's fine. I disagree with pacing, characterization, and some design choices, but ultimately, it's a good Webtoon and I would recommend it to most anyone.
Pros:
- It's a funny webcomic. The jokes land (for the most part), the original jokes feel right at home in the world of Spyre (for the most part), and none of it feels too forced at any point.
- The dialogue is good! As in, it doesn't feel like I'm reading robots talking to each other. It's natural, it flows, I like it.
- Character designs I like wholeheartedly: Riz, Adaine, Fig, Aguefort, HELIO.
- I love the little details, like Hargis in the background of the theater kids. It's fun, I like it.
- Aguefort's writing as a whole. He's fantastic, it feels like bits you'd see Brennan do in the show, I love it. Fantastic job with Aguefort.
- The world feels natural. It doesn't turn and wink at the camera and go "isn't this crazy???" It trusts it's absurdity and it trusts the audience to roll with it.
- A lot of the art is adorable! I am a sucker for just adorable, lovely art of the characters I love and I'm very glad this Webtoon is chock-full of it.
- I adore Bill Seacaster's characterization. He's perfect and I love him and he can do no wrong, I don't see a way to ever ruin this character and I'm glad he's as energetic on the page as on the screen.
Cons (some will be nitpicky, I will own that):
- I dislike the characterization and dialogue choices, primarily with Riz. He feels like a different character, and there's a lot of little stuff that makes him feel off. Acknowledging he's an introvert, actively spying on Penelope and Sam rather than being intuitive and not just HAPPENING to have the right gadget, it's little stuff that makes him feel real rather than just 'the detective of the season."
- I don't like the Live, Laugh, Loot mug. I don't like the "Are you my dad?" joke, it loses it's humor not knowing who Gorgug is and having him explain why he said what he said makes it less funny.
- I won't say it's too Riz-centric because they've branched out starting on the very last episode, but I will say the Corn Cuties fight lost a lot of what it was due to the audience not knowing who the characters are. I cannot imagine the deaths of Gorgug and Kristen being as shocking and stomach-dropping when you barely know who they are. With this, the decision to push episode 1 activities to AFTER the Corn Cuties actively hinders the battle, and it's just an unnecessary change. You don't need to race to the action, you need you let your characters breathe.
- The pacing is very fast. I understand adaptations need to trim some fat, it happens, but what the Webtoon cuts is important to the characters. Cutting the character's moments with their families already makes it feel like we're losing a bit of heart in this adaptation, but I also won't say it doesn't have heart at all, because we're only eight episodes in.
- I dislike the character designs for Dayne Blade, Ragh Barkrock, and Gorgug Thistlespring. I don't really like the artstyle but I won't hold that as a con of the Webtoon. I will hold Dayne's design as a con of it, though.
- Local Webtoon artist doesn't know how an active fencer would use a rapier.
- I dislike the change to make Penny the latest girl kidnapped. It's small, yes, but I think it's important to Riz's character that he only really cares about the missing girls because it was someone he cared about, that's why he's so focused on this mystery, and they make it clear he's been deep in the mystery long before she went missing. I don't like that---again, it's the little things with characterization.
- They cell phone-ified the crystals. It's annoying to me.
- Nobody jumps on tables on the Corn Cuties fight, and this leads to a big problem I have with the fight in general---there's not personality to it. Fabian is good at fighting, that makes him more insufferable. Riz single-handedly solves the problem and connects all the dots, it makes the other Bad Kids seem useless. And Riz not running to find help is, again, another punch to characterization. Adaine not killing Doreen, but keeping Doreen's speech to her, lessens the impact. Fig not connecting with Doreen but still taking her fishnet BOTH is a punch to her characterization and lessens the impact.
- And, lastly, on that Fabian point: he is, so far, unlikable. Saving the first serving of him being punched down til episode 8 was, in my opinion, a bad call. In the first two episodes alone, Fabian doesn't make it onto the Owlbears, he's shot down by Goldenhoard twice, he makes a fool of himself through the entire Corn Cuties battle, and he's got Lou Wilson's natural charisma to back him up. None of this happens to Webtoons Fabian. I won't hold not having Lou's charisma against it, of course, but everything else I will. Saving the Corn Cuties battle for a few episodes down the road might've been the better option here.
All in all, it's fine. Its good so far, I'll keep reading, I just fear it won't be able to really flesh out the Bad Kids, continue characterization them, and sort of suck a bit of personality out of Fantasy High. But, I don't expect that to happen, and I certainly don't want it to happen. Just a fear.

I live for all these ships with Apollo like Apollo and Thanatos, Cupid, and even the most dumpsterfire ship of all time Copollo (I go feral over these two)
But one ship that stood out to me was Boreas and Apollo, and apparently the Boreads describe Apollo as "Beloved of our sire" And the fact that Koios is basically Boreas' boss makes this so much more better
So basically I'm asking for Boreas and Apollo headcanons 👀
(And if you take fic reqs, I wouldn't mind a fic with these two)
Apollo is SOOOOOO Shippable lmao XD He has such a variety of lovers and that really allows us to be able to explore a variety of relationship!
Healthy or toxic, lmao XD Copollo is Top Tier imo
and on the topic of Boreas, I have one extra thing to add there because I personally headcanon that Lelantos, titan of air & moving unseen (and apollo's uncle), used to be the head of the wind gods but was stripped of his title by Zeus post-titan war because he sided with Kronos.
So therefore, both of Boreas's bosses are relatives of Apollo's lmao XD
HEADCANONS, EH?
ahem
Imo, Hyperborea was some sort of courting gift or something Boreas gave Apollo. Because here's the thing with Hyperborea:
It's the One Place Boreas does not blow his winds, hence its title of Eternal Spring.
Boreas's palace resides at the southern border of Hyperborea, with gryphons who live in BOTH places.
Three of Boreas's son are PRIESTS of Hyperborea, and serve Apollo when he's there.
Three of Boreas's daughters joined Artemis's hunt (Oupis features in my fic Shattered Minds, btw!)
Hyperborea is literally "over the north wind" in Greek.
I think we can all agree winter is the time Apollo and Boreas hook up lmao XD
Boreas ALSO, in some versions, is a suitor of Hyacinthus, but he clearly doesn't hold any ill-will about Hya & Apollo because let's be real, he would have picked Apollo too XD
So imagine this. Hyacinthus & Apollo making out. Then Apollo & Boreas making out. HECK HYACINTHUS & BOREAS MAKING OUT.
THIS MEME IS THEM

ALSO I RAISE YOU-
Zephyrus has a crush on Apollo :3 (It makes sense. also Apollo is widely associated with spring and Zephyrus is the SPRING wind, and likes pretty guys and Apollo is the prettiest so-)
I blabbered about that in the Discord with @xxzephyrbreezexx and our fellow Discord user whom I don't know if they have a blog here 😭 KNOW I AM POINTING VIOLENTLY IN YOUR DIRECTION
You are Zephyrus. You have a crush on Apollo. You also get a crush on his boyfriend.
AND THEN YOUR BROTHER FUCKS BOTH OF THEM
The Hyacinthus Debacle, as I have dubbed it, also created a bit of a rift between Boreas and Zephyrus, which is Sad because they are usually associated with each other in literature, art, ect :(
Family dinners are Awkward. Even more so when Boreas brings Apollo along to the dinners hosted at his place.
They became Especially Awkward when Helios and Selene were still around because then Boreas would have to deal with Helios's Dad Instincts kicking in and staring him down.
(Helios is Boreas's uncle btw!)
(I have a Boreas thing planned in my Helios fic eheheheh. It's funny, don't panic)
And whenever Apollo pops in the visit Eos about light-related things or Astraeus (Eos & Astraeus are the winds' parents) it Still Is Awkward because Zephyrus just. BOLTS out of the room.
He is simultaneously Gay For and Terrified of Apollo.

Also if Asteria tags along with Apollo (because she is shooting stars/night prophecy and Astraeus is dusk/stars) she gives Zephyrus The Death Stare.
He is equally terrified of her, minus the horny.
Cupid/Eros, eh?
...are you in the Discord by chance? Because the fellows I mentioned previously and I have also discussed this👀
We get Boreas in my next fic, btw! :D No ApolloXBoreas, sadly, but I do have plans on incorporating them into a fic!
Perhaps my revolution fic, because I am getting Ideas concerning Boreas, Apollo, and Koios... >:3

Everybody loves to consider Greek mythology as a world of clear-cut deities with specific roles and defined limits between them, but it isn't true - and looking at how the deities changed, evolved and mixed together throughout the times is always a deeply rewarding experience.
One example I can give you are the "alternate Aphrodites". Aphrodite was one of the main and most important goddesses of Greek religion - as such she existed with many local variations, specific epithets and alternate cults. But many of these alternate deities ended up actually fusing Aphrodite with or having her replace other gods - a confusion between deities reflected by their very myths and legends.
The most famous case is the "Aphroditos" that was honored in Chypria: the "phallic Venus", the "bearded Aphrodite", an Aphrodite with male and female attributes honoring a mix of both female and male sexualities - and which according to records was linked to rituals of genders exchanging clothes, and other ritual crossdressing. It has been attested and confirmed that the "male Aphrodite", "Aphroditos" was the source of "prototype" for the figure of Hermaphrodite, the source of "hermaphrodism", and the male-female androgyne born in legends of the union of Hermes and Aphrodite - while also acting himself as an alternate form of Hermes in some places.
Hermes isn't the only lover of Aphrodite the goddess ended up confused with. Everybody likes to talk of "Aphrodite Areia", "Aphrodite of war", "Aphrodite in arms", the Aphrodite bearing weapons honored in more war-like cities and cultures of Ancient Greece, notably Sparta. This Aphrodite was usually coupled or paired with Ares, and legend does notoriously point out how the two were lovers. But in some areas, Aphrodite Areia was more than just the companion of Ares or an "Ares-influenced Aphrodite" - she was LITERALY the female version of Ares, replacing him. One same idea of a deity, for two genders.
And a last example I will point out is the Aphrodite Thalassa, or Aphrodite Pontia. "Aphrodite from the sea". We all know Aphrodite has a strong connection to the sea, since in the Hesiodic version she is supposed to be born out of it, and in religion she was considered a protector of sailors and ships. But further than that, you can see how deep her connection goes due to how in Greek religious (or non-religious) art, Aphrodite was often paired with Poseidon. It is something attested (you can check the book "The Twelve Gods of Greece and Rome", which studies the various depictions of the Twelve Olympians) - among the Olympians, when Aphrodite isn't depicted paired with either Hephaistos or Ares, she was usually paired with Poseidon - and when Aphrodite wasn't among the Twelve, she was replaced by Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife and queen. To the point that in many depictions it is hard to tell them apart - if they weren't fused in one...
Aphrodite's alternate self and "combo fusions" can even go in unexpected ways. Take the local cult, at the Hermione town, of Aphrodite "Nymphia" - Aphrodite the Bride, an Aphrodite of weddings and wives honored both by maiden virgins who were to lose their virginity upon their marriage night, or by widows who prepared themselves for a second union. This marital Aphrodite is the first step in the existence of another alternate self usually described as... "Aphrodite-Hera". And if you recall, back in The Iliad, Homer himself talked of how Aphrodite shared with Hera her belt of seduction to awaken the desire of Zeus... (Plus the fact that Aphrodite was said in the Homeric tradition to be the daughter of Zeus and Dione - Dione herself being literaly just a female verson/counterpart of Zeus ; and by extension later some people called Aphrodite herself "Dione" in reference to her mother, the same Helios in the Homeric traditon is also called "Hyperion" despite Hesiod splitting them in a father-and-son duo)
So yeah, sorry all of you who like neat classifications and little boxes that never get mixed up - but by the real facts, while Greek mythology as quite stable, it was also more fluid than you'd think, and the gods did have a tendency to fuse together...
(Cut to a long post about how Selene, Hekate and Artemis ended up all fused into the "Diana triformis" and the "Triple Moon" by Roman times)
