I know it might be a big request, but can you talk about heaven's hyerarchy in JTTW?? And explain some titles like boddisahtiva (sorry for any typos, english isn't my native language)

I'm a little busy at the moment, but I can give a brief overview as I see it.

The Jade Emperor (JE) is the boss of the universe, but he still has deities over him, such as the Three Pure Ones, of which Laozi (LZ) is an incarnation (of sorts). The novel even describes LZ as the "Patriarch who separated Heaven from Earth"--i.e. the creator of the universe. While technically subordinate to the JE, the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas are the true shepherds of the JTTW cosmos. (In traditional Buddhism, gods are still subject to the illusory world of Samsara, while the Buddha is beyond reality since they have achieved nirvana and broken free from the endless rounds of rebirth. In addition, the JTTW universe is patterned after the Buddhist disc-world system, and the Daoist heavens take the place of the Buddhist heavens in the traditional cosmology.) Despite this, Buddhist deities still act ritually differential to the gods. For example, the Patriarch of Earthbound Immortals (ch. 24-26) is so high-ranking that Guanyin mentions that even she has to be respectful towards him.

The gods of heaven are considered superior to those of the earth. Local gods of the soil and mountains, as well hell judges and their spirit-soldiers, are looked upon as "ghost immortals," the lowest rank. Celestials above are "spirit immortals," the highest rank. "Human" and "Earthbound Immortals" in the middle ranks can become heavenly beings if they are given an official post. But heavenly beings can be demoted to lower ranks for messing up. For example, one of Laozi's fire-tenders in the 33rd Heaven is demoted to a local god of the soil below for failing to help capture Monkey when he escaped from the Eight Trigrams Furnace in chapter 7. And a different local god of the soil in another chapter worries that two mountain gods will be beaten and further demoted to small, out of way shrines for unknowingly dropping their mountains on the Great Sage.

honestly id LOve to learn more from su about just the origin of gems. how this ancient civilization began, how the diamonds manifested – was it white diamond who was "born" first? how did she exist in her first few years, and then figure out she could create gems?

I'm incredibly fascinated by the possibilities, especially since in the first few seasons of su we see a bunch of temple ruins of all kinds so like.

did the gems have an actual religion(s)? was it something that existed and then was eradicated as white diamond/the diamonds came into power, or did the diamonds bring about those beliefs as well???????

and the ancient spacecraft tech(?!!!?;!!! ) (from that episode with centipeetle/nephrite) that is still more advanced than modern human technology??

i want to know just how many years of gem "evolution" we're talkin about. hell i dont even need numbers i just rly wanna know how things looked like in the very beginning..... would white diamond/the diamonds even still remember said times...

general thoughts from church today:

perhaps I should go to the 10am Mass next time if I want to see anyone remotely my age, though there is a part of me that absolutely loves being around people 40+ :)

a part of me balks a bit at the social culture at this church -- I'm used to people lingering for a WHILE after church to chat and catch up and eat lunch together. These people simply booked it as fast as they could, many of them halfway through the last song, which was simply bizarre to me. This might be something specific to the 8am crowd but still

God bless the only person who came up to say hi to me (I was shaking in my boots because my head is full of Anglican liturgy and there ARE some slight differences between Catholic and Anglican call-and-responses), who promptly said: Do you want to see pictures of my grandson. And I said yes. And I saw about ten pictures of her grandson and he was very cute.

God bless the priest who, when I went up for a blessing, was so confused as to why I wouldn't take the wafer (sir, I would've, but I know I shouldn't haha)

God bless the other priest, who preached today very gently and earnestly on God's love and looked very kind!

As a treat, I have compiled what little I have of the language system I have for Andrean Weather Witch Dialect and the hierarchy/titles of the WW tribes (including how it looked when Stormy was born)

Weather Witch Andrean Dialect

Tharma is the root word for all kinds of storms. As the islands of the weather witches never really have any other kind of weather than storms, this is a very important root word.

Thar’mastu indicates a hurricane or tempest. Strongest kind of storm.

Tharmast’ indicates a regular storm. Still more powerful than most other realms, but average for the WW Isles of Andros. Includes strong gales, hailstone, powerful rain, dark cloud cover.

Thama, however, is a lot less intense, more like the gentler rainy seasons. Can be used to indicate a stormcloud or a light rain or a more gentle breeze. 

Ar indicates strong, large or powerful. The amount of emphasis on the ar in Tharma relates to the strength of the storm and so ar develops into an indicator of higher intensity. Because a softening of this sound is difficult to achieve, the a’ of the ancient people develops into Ak as a more certain sound. Ak refers to something small, little or weak. This is usually unoffensive – more of an endearment. Offense is only taken in the grander terms: artar is used to indicate something MUCH bigger and stronger than oneself; aktak is used to indicate something especially weak, puny or pathetic. Artar is a sign of great respect. Aktak is a sign of serious slander.

Family Terms

Ma - Mother

Ar’ma - Grandmother

Ba - Aunt (first sounds babies make and Aunt is usually wielder of all serious power, so it is respectful that baby's first word is for her aunt)

Stra - Sister

Weather Witch Hierarchy of the Blessed Bloodline

Artar Thar’mastrata - Empress of all Andrean Weather Witches and leader of the largest tribe.

Ar Thar’mastra – First Sister to the Empress and Mother of her Daughters.

Artar Thar’stra – Immediate successor to the Empress (Typically First Daughter/Daughter blessed by Tharma). Infertile.

Ar Thar’stra – Second daughter of the Empress – or unblessed daughter. Will carry on the family line. Nieces are dubbed Daughter of the Artar Thar’stra.

Thar’stra – Any subsequent children that Tharma blesses the Ar Thar’masta with. Very, very rare occurrences (children are not in line of succession).

Artar Thastra – First Daughter/Blessed of the Ar Thar’stra (immediately succeeds the Artar Thar’stra upon their death or succession).

Ar Thastra – Second Daughter of Ar Thar’stra. Typically looked upon as a spare who will live a normal life and birth the next Artar Thastra, but is usually doted on. 

Thastra – Any subsequent children of the Ar Thar’stra. Very, very rare occurrences. Do not inherit unless something happens to other daughters, forcing them to become Ar Thastra.

Tharma grants children to the Blessed Bloodline either by Divine Intervention or Divine Conception. It is generally considered that if a third child is born (always a daughter) something will happen to one of the first two children, forcing the bloodline to need a spare child. A lot of these titles do not get used regularly but are more of a formality.

Stormy’s Family:

Artar Thar’mastrata –  Tempera (Akthama’s Ar’ma | Stormy’s Grandmother)

Artar Thar���stra – Asta’sa (Akthama’s Ar’stra | Stormy’s Older Sister)

Ar Thar’mastra – Kulama (Akthama’s Ma | Stormy’s Mother)

Ar Thar’stra – Akthama (Stormy – although she was still referred to as Ar Thastra more casually as the title was considered a lot of responsibility for an infant)

The war killed Stormy’s Mother’s Mother and her Ba | Aunt before she was born (hence why her sister was Artar Thar’stra). Stormy was born when her Ma was already quite old and her stra was already an adult (20 when Stormy was born) fighting for the Ancestral Witches. Asta’sa was a favourite of the Ancestral Witches and Griffin’s replacement when she defected.

Weather Witch Hierarchy of lesser tribes (much less ceremony or complication)

Thar’mastata - Leader of a Tribe (not related to Tharma, or a more distant relation)

Ar Tharstra – Immediate successor to the Thar’mustata (not always blood related)

Tharstra – The others in the immediate line of succession who come behind Ar Tharsta

Who's your favorite oc from each of your stories and why?

Aaa man that's a hard answer :') I love all my characters dearly and I put everything I can into writing them, this should be tricky! I'll include one or more, probably not more than three but again all of them mean a lot to me individually! (I have a lot of stories sorry in advance)

Insanity's Universe - Bonnie and Carly. I relate to these two the most out of the main cast, I've inserted a lot of myself onto them. Bonnie's anxiety is a direct projection of my own and Carly's cling to childhood also stems from me! I also just really love cats.

Royal Macabres - Callie, Briar and Niratap. Callie is my favorite here just because of her sarcasm, which is something I have in private lol. Her comebacks are great especially to Damon and Junior. Briar is similar to Bonnie in which she has a reserved and quiet personality and is usually forced to overcome that. Niratap's just my goofy 'villain' guy. I love my goofy shadow villain guy.

Websurferz - Vista. This is hard since I included my favorite computer elements into all of them. But I do love Vista, she's a silly little epic face girl who loves her gf and adoptive computer daughter.

Freakshow - Nikki and the three sisters. Nikki is basically the "you gotta fit into the social norms" character, which is something I've had pressured onto me way too fucking much, so I dearly love her. Violet is me and I am Violet, Pixie is just a little silly thing....in a little silly world. Lizzy is Lizzy. I love my three clown babies.

Extraterrestrials - Nora and Pri. Need I say more about how these two are basically each other's driving motivation and they're special to me and I want to hold them in my hands and-- but rly Nora is the curiousity I've had about space and Pri is the fear of the unknown I have about space. Fatima's a close third just because of her ability to have the best dry wit in the whole Space Camp.

Shroom's Dream - Shroom and Jangle. Shroom is my childhood innocence and wonder and she's got the same level of caution as I do, ofc I love her! Jangle is a tiny brain-matter clown how could I not love them.

Food Animals - Pepper. Now yes Pepper is just a food mascot that makes cameos in my other stories but he's a silly dog in a mean world I love him to bits.

Daisy Belle - Daisy Belle. Illusion bunny daughter who doesn't frown.

“Shh!” Sky hisses, flicking his ears. Something rustles in the trees and everyone stills. He keeps his eyes scanning for movement and is rewarded by something slipping behind a tree.

Whatever it is knows they’re here. Sky places his feet with care and advances, focusing on that spot. If they can flank the monster and close in, they’ll have this problem settled in no time. How they get back is another matter altogether.

The bright notes of an ocarina shatter the silence. It’s not a song Sky is familiar with. Even more, it’s out of place. Why would a monster be playing a song? Maybe this isn’t a monster, but someone they should help. Yet why would Fi glow like this?

Before Sky can advance or motion for someone else to flank, there’s a loud ripping sound. It’s somewhere between tearing fabric and a scream, nearly too high to hear. Whatever it is, it’s wrong.

The alpha bolts for the tree, skidding to a halt at the rent in the air. Whatever made it is gone. Time bumps his shoulder as he comes to an abrupt halt behind him. Then the rip stitches itself back together—bumpy and warped.

“What in Hylia’s name was that?”

Time heaves a deep sigh, ruffling his hair with his breadth. The proximity has the alpha tensing, sending out a warning scent. Time quickly steps back and ducks his eyes. “I think we could use a break. This will take some explaining.”
