do you have any thoughts on when highcourt would be technologically? i was thinking that the dawns gave off the vibes of 1950s or even 1970s televangelists, but idk if placing highcourt in the 1950s would contradict brennan's lore about solace being the only nation in spyre to have arcanotech

sorry for the late response—i had to take some time to think about it!! i do think a 50's/60's aesthetic would work better realistically than a 70's one, though this is mostly my own bias because of personal experiences. ("violet" the musical is set in 1964 and is about a woman with a large scar on her face who travels across the country to have a televangelist heal her so she'll be beautiful again, and i can absolutely see that being something the dawns encourage or participate in.) i do wonder if there's a happy medium of technology between nothing at all and the latest archanotech, like landlines before cell phones or CRT tvs instead of LCD or LED tvs. i think i'd very much take a 60's approach if i were to officially place them there—less idealistic than the 50's, but not quite as rowdy as the 70's!

I recommend as Valentine Lestrange is a great character. And while focused on Harry the life of main character is not always revolve around him. The main character has drama of her own and her own friend group. Valentine is a cold and mean girl to everyone at Hogwarts as expected of a Lestrange and Slytherin. She also a genius but has her own weakness such as lack of physical strength and being stubborn and rash to protect and do what she believe is right. Even if she has to sacrifice her life and image to correct things.

Also Valentine is Aromatic and Asexual and we don’t figure this out till later on as the character get older and start getting boyfriend and girlfriend. Where Valentine shows no interest of anyone. She doesn’t know exactly what to call it till she meets some a rock band of muggles. Who tell her the terms asexual and aromatic which she identifies too.

The story also deals with some dark topics later on in Valentine life such as self harm, child neglect/harm and attempt of SA and mentioned SA (don’t worry she beats him up and very nearly kills him later on) and descriptions of harm and battles later on when the death eaters rule. The only cannon character you will dislike/hate is Lucius and other death eaters and a few Oc characters that appear later on. Other then that all the other characters are good.

Also a story for those who like Severus Snape and Darcy Malfoy as Malfoy is Valentine cousin. Snape is somewhat a mentor to Valentine and is protective of her and vise versa. Bonded by their secret missions and Snape thinking she’s too young to be handling all of this though we don’t get his thoughts til a bit later.

 गैंगस्टरों की बुलेटप्रूफ कारें: हाईकोर्ट का बड़ा सवाल, पंजाब और केंद्र से मांगा जवाब

पंजाब एवं हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट ने राज्य में गैंगस्टरों की गतिविधियों को लेकर गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। विशेषकर बुलेटप्रूफ गाड़ियों के इस्तेमाल को लेकर कोर्ट ने कड़ा रुख अपनाते हुए पंजाब और केंद्र सरकार से जवाब तलब किया है।

 मामले की पृष्ठभूमि: होशियारपुर की एक महिला ने याचिका दायर कर अपनी बुलेटप्रूफ फॉर्च्यूनर गाड़ी वापस मांगी थी, जो पुलिस ने जब्त कर ली थी। जांच में सामने आया कि गाड़ी का इस्तेमाल उसका बेटा दीपक कुमार उर्फ बिन्नी करता था — एक ए-श्रेणी का गैंगस्टर, जिस पर 41 से अधिक आपराधिक मामले दर्ज हैं और 14 मामलों में सुनवाई चल रही है।

 हाईकोर्ट के सवाल:

क्या पंजाब में बुलेटप्रूफ गाड़ियों को संशोधित करने की कोई नीति है?

क्या कोई निय�� है जो तय करे कि किसे इस तरह के वाहन रखने की अनुमति मिल सकती है?

🧾 DGP गौरव यादव का जवाब:

"फिलहाल पंजाब में ऐसी कोई नीति नहीं है, लेकिन हमने राज्य सरकार को इस दिशा में नीति बनाने की सिफारिश की है।"

इसके बाद, हाईकोर्ट ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय और पंजाब सरकार के मुख्य सचिव को नोटिस जारी कर 9 मई तक जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया है।

 निष्कर्ष:

हाईकोर्ट की इस सख्ती ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि पंजाब में संगठित अपराध की गतिविधियों पर अब नीतिगत और कानूनी हस्तक्षेप आवश्यक हो गया है। ऐसे मामलों में नीति का न होना राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और कानून व्यवस्था पर गंभीर प्रश्न खड़े करता है।
