I'm just saying that there's no heterosexual explanation for AJ, as the Champion, having a twink actually running Parkour Civilization.

In regards on how Dionysus was portrayed in this year's Olympics's ceremony, i would like to start a petition to start portraying Dionysus in general as a handsome, charismatic man.
It's time to stop glorifying this false image of him (drunk, useless, laughing stock) so let's make a start, here's how i draw him for example:

I HATE editing movie screenshots because it’s such a hassle to make your drawing look like it belongs in the scene, but I just had to after I remembered that Sonic was in the Wreck it Ralph movie.

Original scene + references under the cut!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look, I’m pretty sure that I got a bunch of timeline and game details wrong while drawing this thing but please allow me some leeway, I hade very little references and there are almost no clear screenshots of the movie with the full Sonic cabinet on display :’) I didn’t even know SEGA made Sonic arcade cabinets! Ever!
Besides, I’m pretty sure the people who worked on the movie took some (albeit anachronistic) creative liberties when adding Sonic into the movie since he has the modern design rather than his classic one.
My personal headcanon is that there was two Sonic cabinets at Litwak’s, and the old one with Classic Sonic either got unplugged to be replaced with a new Sonic cabinet, or they just have two Sonic games in the arcade now and Classic Sonic just happened to not appear in the movie. In any case, very fun concept.

The North American PlayStation controller was about 10% larger than the original Japanese version, featuring longer grips and cord, likely to better fit Western users' hand sizes.

I got banned on here for Part 1 of my History of Queerness in Videogames article series. So now, 3 weeks later and with both the series having completed over on my Substack and with my account reactivated, here's part 2!
Part 2 has to do with the 2000s, goes over a lot of great games that had a mix of different types of portrayals. I also go over some of the groundwork laid in the decade for the 2010s GamerGate reactionary BS. If you weren't around the gaming sphere in the 2000s, there's probably some stuff in here you didn't know about.

My turn!
Question 8 for Flayn.
What’s something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
Well, there's basically a hellpit on some discord server that has, uh, takes about Nabateans in generals and Flayn isn't spared from the... rhetoric spewed there, but in general, that'd be too easy of an answer to pick here!
I get that everyone has their own reading on characters and maybe they appreciate them more as "characters who are OOC" rather than their canon version -
But damn if the "Flayn joins the BESF" takes puzzled me back in August 2019, and still do nowadays.
And I mean, join as in "not as a relic", but somehow joins because either the BESF are her BFFs, Rhea BaD or a mix of the two.
Sure, Fodlan's characters are written with the consistency of cream cheese because they must be able to follow the player's avatar wherever they go, even if it blows holes the size of the Atlantic in their characterisation - something Nopes, for all of its issues, corrected - and yet I still think that a small core of characters not being recruitable in house X or Y means that their writing couldn't be "that warped around the player's fingers".
I mean, we only have, what, 5? 6? 10? characters who won't be recruited by Billy in FE16 and those characters are the ones who receive the most solid characterisation - and yet we still had (have?) takes wondering, and not in a "what if AU" or mere "plotbunnies" why those characters couldn't join route X.
Again, if we're talking about AUs or fics, who are inherently dealing with OOC stuff, it wouldn't annoy me that much, but the fact that we still had "canon" discussion about how it's a shame that we cannot recruit Flayn in Golden Trasfire is just... if you're supposed to talk about canon!Flayn, then you really missed her characterisation.
Yes Flayn doesn't like lies and wars, but first and foremost, she doesn't want to lose her family! She already participated in a war against maniacs who wanted them gone (or turned in shiny weapons), if she has to fight to protect herself and/or her loved ones, she will.

Oh hey! It's been a week since I posted part 2 of my series on the History of Queerness in Videogames! Well then here's part 3! In it we both cover queer representation in the 2010s and unfortunately have to go on a tangent about gamergate. There's so many good games of the 2010s, some even helped me process my own transness. It was a great decade for representation despite also having some bad ones too.

Here is my review of Vegas:
Sphere: ✅ round. ❌ Didn’t go inside though because you have to pay $100
Omega Mart: ✅✅✅✅ awesome. ✅ Really really good. ✅ I love Meow Wolf so much it’s unreal ✅ it was a lot bigger than the other 3 I’ve been to. I didn’t even get to look at everything. ✅ did I mention how much I love Meow Wolf
Casinos: ❌ loud. ❌ too many screens and flashing lights. ❌ crowded. ❌ smell bad because smoking inside is allowed. ❌ I didn’t gamble anyways
Food: ✅ tasty. ✅ staff were very cool and accommodating about my allergies. ❌ But you have to walk through casinos to get to a lot of the restaurants
Pinball museum: ✅ actually way cooler than I thought it would be. ✅ they have loads of old pinball machines and arcade games and you can play most of them. ✅ I got to play DDR for the first time. ✅✅✅ they had a Computer Space machine and I freaked out when I saw it. It was out of order but still it was just so amazing to see in person

my sister(affectionately): “I’ve heard this rant multiple times. You are not going to be able to shut him up for at least forty five minutes.”
me: “let the games begin.”

Preservation, Piracy, and the Illusion of Ownership: A Critical Examination
In the modern digital age, the line between ownership and access has been intentionally blurred. The rise of streaming services, digital distribution, and corporate consolidation has created a media landscape where consumers no longer truly own the games, movies, and other media they purchase. This reality challenges the traditional narrative that “piracy is theft,” a simplistic and often…
