Oh it's suddenly 6am and I have a severe migraine. When did that happen =(

AU where Danny has spent a very long time in the Infinite Realms for one reason or another (time travel work for Clockwork, Ghost King business, fled Earth for some reason, decided he didn't jive with living under capitalism, realized he wasn't aging, whatever).

On his first trip out to the living world where he actually interacts with living people, he drops into a reality where the Justice League exists and gets curious about the Watchtower. It's definitely Earth technology, but it's way different than anything he's seen them build before. How cool! He has to check it out.

He gets intercepted. Danny's first introduction to the Justice League is Green Lantern, Superman, and Martian Manhunter. They're friendly enough when they realize he's just curious.

In the course of talking, his abilities come up. Danny talks about his ice and the time powers Clockwork started teaching him after AGIT.

Then one of them says something along the lines of "and you can fly."

Danny gives them a weird look.

"...and I can walk?"

Which is about the moment that they realize that, not only has Danny assumed that flight is normal for them (since all of the people he's met since showing up are capable of it), but he could have any number of abilities that he considers not worth mentioning.

Taking a random office job should have been simple. The only reason you even joined was the staggeringly high pay. Which sure, it didn’t make much sense at first.

But then you realized this was a company full of monsters…

The laws you were used to simply didn’t exist because it was under the jurisdiction of the monster society. What the company could do is apply a rule that the human workers, particularly the females, couldn’t be touched if they were under a certain weight.

You in particular were directly on the protected weight line. It could be a little unnerving at times.

That meant listening to Runuc, an orc in accounting who you frequently work with, saying how bad he wanted to hear you moaning. It meant ignoring Hogarth, a minotaur in marketing who often had to give you files, muttering a near constant stream of what positions he wanted to put you in. It meant looking the other way as innocently as possible when the janitor, a vaguely fur-covered monster named Jay, mentioned how there wouldn’t be any mess to clean up if he bred you…

It meant not saying anything when you passed by your boss’s office, not saying anything as he… it? slipped a tentacle juuuust under your skirt to brush your ass.

You couldn’t help but feel at your wits end with this job. It wasn’t enough to be barely protected. Not when the monsters you worked with, especially the ones you worked closely with, were rather attractive. Not when office flings were completely on the table, when the monsters could have their way with you if you were just a little heavier.

And especially not with the endless chatter of your more petite coworkers jealously eyeing you and your fellow chubby coworkers.

What kind of office had you really signed up for?

Hello tumblr I am here to give you your weekly ZWG Foretold update:

100 words of one new scene!!!!! (i had a bad pain week and also i took up some work from my mom editing college essays and also also my littlest sister just left the state for college—i didn’t go and help her set up or anything but that was a thing that did happen)

In other news, I started to hardcore hyperfixate on a new story idea: a Pokémon OC Trainer story set in Kalos. Due to this hyperfixation I have been looking around the internet for new Mega Evolution ideas.

Did you know that not a SINGLE Bug Mega is special oriented? Beedrill, Pinsir, Heracross, and Scizor are all fucking physical!

Viola is an elegant lady who uses refined Bug Pokémon who dance like leaves in the wind and absolutely obliterate her opponents with special attacks. She has a Vikavolt who has gained her infractions for Spectator Endangerment on three separate occasions because its Bug Buzz, while boosting its Special Attack (not even maximizing, just a couple enhancements) shatters Psychic barriers. (She is on a list which numbers about a dozen who has a complex ban in Official League Tournaments: her Vikavolt is not allowed to use the move Charge Beam. She is the only League Official, that is, Gym Leader or Elite Four or Champion, in Kalos that currently has a complex ban.)

I’m giving her a Mega Butterfree, which is just a Gigantamax Butterfree scaled down to normal size. How does she deal with Rock types and Stealth Rocks with three confirmed Bug/Flying types on her competitive team? Her lead Masquerain, whose opening repertoire is Rain Dance, Quiver Dance, Hydro Pump, Defog. (She always loses to Grant, whose Pokémon all know Stealth Rock, including the Armaldo, Kabutops, and Carracosta that all know Swift Swim. But Grant is the second strongest trainer in all of Kalos, right behind Diantha herself, so the loss isn’t too terrible.)

…As you can see, I’ve been very distracted this week.

The "Sansa reminds Sandor of his sister" motive that some people try to hitch to his character really just flies in the face of his actual attachments to her, doesn't it? Sansa reminds Sandor of himself. He sees the little boy who used to love knights in this girl who's been swept up by the same romanticism. He sees his abuser in her abusers, the much larger knight(s) beating on the helpless child. He sees how she is betrayed by every level of authority that should have saved her and remembers his father's neglect and Tywin and Robert's apathy for Gregor's crimes. He's protective of Sansa because he was Sansa.

And GRRM's design, that one of the strongest warriors in the series, a fearsome and cynical 6'8" guy who's "muscled like a bull" and has the face of death itself, sees himself in this soft and effeminate teen girl, and empathizes with her because he was an abuse victim too, is INFINITELY more compelling than "Oh yeah I bet she just reminds him of his sister," who he's never mentioned and who we know literally nothing about. Way to unnecessarily water down a character, you couldn't have ignored the black and white text more efficiently if you tried.

let it also be said that I love the Mahariel + Lavellan worldstate. It's so haunted.
