hi! I made this blog to raise awareness for hypersexuality because I never hear about it and recently discovered it.

I believe I am hypersexual, which is why a limited amount of people will know who made this blog. Also because I dont want people to know i am hypersexual because i am disgusted by myself and i have irl friends here on tumblr

Hypersexuality is actually not a sexuality, it is a mental disorder. Hypersexuality is when your brain manipulates you into wanting sexual relationships or makes you have sexual desires, even if you dont actually want it. You can be hypersexual and asexual. Hypersexuality is usually caused by trauma and/or ptsd. This is not always the case, however, as I believe mine is caused by being shown p0rn at the age of 5.

Also, I am a minor<3

Heres some more things to know about hypersexuality:

Hypersexuality usually starts at age 5 and older, but not always

Hypersexuality is NOT the same as m4sturb4ting! (4=a)

Hypersexuality is NOT the same as high libido!

Hypersexuality is not limited to one gender.

i think i might be asexual but i'm doubting myself a LOT rn 😓

the reason because I am hypersexual and often feel a lot more sexual attraction towards fictional characters

but i realized that i don't feel any sexual attraction towards my actual irl crushes, like none at all, and a friend of mine said that maybe i was asexual?

i thought about it for a while but im truthfully starting to doubt myself because with fictional characters and my hypersexuality but i always heard that fictional characters don't really count but i still have no idea 😭

i just wanted to ask because ive been thinking about this for weeks noe

I don't know much about ace microlabels, but you could possibly be fictosexual? Fictosexuality describes those who experience sexual attraction to fictional characters exclusively and not to real people.

(I couldn't think of a good transition sentence for this but our-hyperace-experience is a great resource for hypersexual ace folks, from what I've seen)
