Roller Skates
I wrote this as part of a filler for my Clone Wars WIP and I'm posting it for you Tumblr heathens because @shabbyplants @imperialsprig comment and @vaderxvibes tags on my previous post (A Cry For Help) made my day.
description: long hyperdrive journeys can often get boring so it's a good job the clones of the 212th Attack Battalion know how to occupy themselves. it's not their fault mischief often ensues.
length: 2.7k
warnings: none it's just happy time fluff and shenanigans because I have too much time on my hands (unless you count misuse of mouse droids as some kind of mistreatment)
“Whoever came up with this idea…” Crys began to grumble, readjusting his grip on the open crate between them.
“It was me.” Wooley perked up, oblivious to his vod's grumbling.
Sennari shot Crys a warning look before he thought of finishing that sentence.
“It’s a brilliant idea.” Crys continued, dripping with sarcasm. “I love spending my time off chasing kriffing mouse droids.”
Wooley waved a hand, shushing them as he peaked around a corner. “It’s coming!”
“Not another word.” Sennari hissed at the acidic blond. “It’s for his name day.”
Crys recoiled, “He doesn’t have a name day.”
Sennari heard the zip of tiny wheels and shushed him again, sliding her feet forward silently when Wooley curled his fingers.
“Now!” The shiny yelled and they upturned the crate, slamming it onto the durasteel with a loud clang and the droid crashed into the side. Wooley pumped his fist. “Gotcha!”
They slid open the opposite end and Crys bent over, temporarily disabling the droid and lifting it free of its makeshift cage. “Come on.” He ushered, hefting it under his arm. “Before someone figures out what we’re doing.”
Sennari hoisted the crate, the three of them returning to the hangar where Waxer and Boil sat watching the other mouse droid. They’d tied a thick coil around it, another laid out and ready beside Boil’s foot, and Sennari discarded the empty crate.
“Shouldn’t he be wearing some kind of protective gear?” Waxer fussed as Crys set down the second droid. “What if he falls?”
“That’s between him and gravity.” Sennari answered as Wooley shoved on his helmet, hiding the look of childlike glee brightening his features.
They fixed the cable onto the second droid whilst Boil set the first by Wooley’s feet. He grasped Sennari’s shoulder and she held his arm as Boil strapped the droid to the sole of his boot, hoisting him up and keeping him balanced as Crys did the same with the second.
Wooley wobbled once as Waxer secured both straps around his feet, ecstatic giggles falling out his helmet, and Sennari tightened her grip. “Remember to keep your eyes up.” Sennari reminded him as he began to look down at what they were doing.
“I’ll be careful.” Wooley assured her, “I’ve wanted to do this for so long, I’m not gonna mess it up.”
“Alright.” Crys slapped the back of Wooley’s leg and he wobbled again. “You’re all set.”
Wooley squeaked, tilting his head to Sennari. “Can you gimme a boost?”
Sennari grinned, carefully stepping behind him, gripping his waist until he nodded assuredly. “On three.” She told him, slowly counting down, and on the final beat Sennari shoved him as hard as she could.
A joyful shriek slipped out as Wooley went careening across the hangar bay and it gradually dropped into excitable laughter as he skidded across the durasteel, picking up speed with each kick of his feet and Sennari watched with growing enthusiasm.
“I didn’t think that would work.” She admitted as Waxer chuckled.
Wooley cheered as he narrowly avoided a collision with two clones loading supplies onto a shuttle, throwing up his arms gleefully.
“We catch two more droids and we’d have a competition on our hands.” Boil suggested conspiratorially and shared one look with his twin before the two scattered, grabbing the crate where Sennari discarded it and disappearing off on a hunt.
“Hey, Sennari!” Wooley waved a hand as he skated past and she returned a lazy salute.
The twins returned soon enough hefting two more droids. Wooley had done three laps of the entire hangar by the time they came back, looping between each of the gunships, getting the hang of dodging around the few clones on duty. Most of them stopped to watch him whizzing about by now, laughing along with him.
“Alright.” Sennari held a makeshift flag made from two cleaning rags in both hands, standing off to the side as Wooley and Boil settled into ready positions, held steady by Waxer and Crys. “On three.”
She counted them down and waved the flag, dodging out the way as they raced off down the hangar and followed the course they’d set up around the hangar. A small crowd cheered them on, summoned by their brothers to watch the commotion, and they had a gaggle of onlookers seated atop crates strategically placed around the hangar.
Wooley won the first race, whooping and hollering as he slid to a stop over the finish line, and proceeded to win every race afterwards. The kid was a natural. Only the trill of the shift change could stop him, forcing him to take off the skates and traipse up to the communication quarter. Wooley, Waxer and Boil were replaced with Gearshift, Trapper and Longshot and they got another cluster of clones strapped to the droids. Sennari did much better without Wooley but as soon as Longshot strapped the skates on things grew tense.
“Fancy making things interesting?” He challenged.
Tying their hands gave them considerably less control but Sennari would never turn down an honest challenge, not when she saw credits exchanging hands, and if one of them ended up in the medbay at least it wouldn’t be because of her. Not this time.
“Ready?” Gearshift asked, the slightest doubt in his raised eyebrow.
Sennari inched her feet wider, Cale’s hands at her waist ready to push, the ragged flag waiting to be waved and Gearshift barely counted down once before an abrupt voice cut through the clamour, Cody’s single raised eyebrow enough to silence every clone present.
If Sennari had a free hand, she would’ve waved. “It’s Wooley’s name day, sir.” She explained casually, receiving a few slacked jaws from the shinies who were trying to melt into the floor and away from Cody’s disapproval. They’d get used to it, the rest of the clones holding back a roll of their eyes.
“I just saw Wooley in comms.” Cody replied flatly, “He told me to expect the 501st within the hour for a briefing.”
Longshot quietly hissed out a cheer beside her. “Jesse’s going to love this.”
“I’d love to give you a hand with the preparations, but…” Sennari jiggled her shoulders, her bound wrists. “I’m a little tied up right now.”
Cody looked like he wanted to drag a hand down his features at the remark and Cale struggled to smother his laughter. “Be done by the time they get here or there will be consequences.” Cody warned, glancing between Sennari and Longshot and the two returned identical innocent looks that would fool anyone else. Good thing Cody knew better.
“What does he mean, consequences?” Sennari heard a brother ask at the same time another smiled and said, “He can’t catch all of us.”
Oh, yes, he can. Sennari turned back to the course ahead and bent into a ready position, a renewed smile touching her lips and mischief clouding her hazel eyes.
“We’re not gonna be finished by the time Captain Rex arrives, are we?” Trapper asked wearily, so used to their antics he already knew his answer. Yet he still felt the need to ask.
“Better find yourself a pair of skates, bud.” Cale clapped him on the shoulder consolingly. “It’s the only way you’re gonna outrun the Commander.”
“Alright, enough chatter!” Gearshift called out with a raised hand, calming the gathered clones, and he began his countdown anew. “Go!”
Cale launched Sennari into the hangar and she immediately increased her momentum, careening across the durasteel faster than anyone started off before, building up her speed even as she came to the first corner and heard a warning shout. With her hands tied, she couldn’t latch onto the gunship as she did before, and a brief flash of panic trilled in her heart, forcing her to dig her heels in and almost topple over to round the corner.
Sparks danced as she pressed hard into the turn, scratching grooves in the durasteel but she made it round easily. The early gain gave her enough leeway to take the second corner easier, leaning back to take it slower, letting Gearshift come up closer before ploughing ahead once again. They wove between the crates set up scattered about the longest stretch, her knees bending one way, then the next, gritting her teeth tightly each time her balance wobbled, hands tugging against their bonds.
“Gonna have to do better than that.” Longshot teased as they found the third corner and skated a pace behind her.
Sennari spent so much concentration on the crates she’d dropped her speed advantage entirely. “Finally putting that pilot training to good use.” She shot back, smiling despite the bead of sweat curling down the side of her face.
Longshot looked just as exerted, his cheeks puffed, but he smothered a grin and pressed on. If Sennari didn’t do something drastic he’d overtake her along the final stretch, she couldn’t build up the same amount of speed without Cale’s boost. Longshot just had stronger leg muscles than her.
They both heard the squeak of gears as the main hangar doors rattled open, revealing the dark blanket of space out beyond, and three gunships fluttered inside.
“Better get a move on.” Longshot hurried, the distraction costing her and he overtook as they rounded the corner.
Sithspit. Sennari hunched her shoulders, bending forwards, scanning the last stretch and the final corner. She could shave off a few seconds if she took a shortcut, a little quick thinking and she jerked herself sideways, kicking off one of the crates for a little extra boost. Longshot would have to adjust to avoid getting hit by one of those gunships, the first swinging into the clear hangar, and Sennari grit her teeth. As Longshot skidded to a halt to avoid the landing gunship, swerving, Sennari crouched low, aimed directly for the blast doors as they swung open.
The men inside had only a split second to react before Sennari shot through, springing up to avoid tripping the skates on the edge of the ship, her feet leaving the ground entirely, blazing past shocked expressions and exclamations as clones hit the deck, and crashing back to the floor on the other side.
Sennari swept across the finish line and another scattering of sparks danced up as she skidded to an abrupt halt moments away from colliding with a pile of crates, twisting around to watch Longshot slowly glide along behind her.
The clink of credits changing hands joined the cheering as clones slapped Sennari on the back, laughter erupting from the crowd and Cale cut the ties binding her hands.
“You’re one crazy son of a Hutt.” He chuckled, steadying her with an arm.
“Let’s hope Commander Wolffe feels the same.” Sennari commented as she noticed the blue-grey armor storming over, his kamas swaying erratically around his waist.
“Wolffe, old buddy.” Cody smoothly stepped in front of her, helmet propped casually against his waist and a lazy smile brightened his scarred features. “Come to join the fun?”
“I thought we were expecting Captain Rex?” Trapper hissed as Sennari settled atop a crate, working to free her feet from the mouse droid.
“Surprise.” Longshot huffed as he dropped next to her, letting Trapper fuss over the straps. “Bet you’re regretting that little shortcut now.”
“Nah.” Sennari smirked, eyeing the set of Cody’s shoulders. “Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.”
Turns out Rex had arrived, stepping off one of the gunships, completely oblivious to the chaos Sennari briefly caused, and frowned as he caught the Commander’s snapping at one another.
“No harm, no foul.” Cody was saying blithely, “The boys were just having a little fun.”
“No harm?” Wolffe bit, “Someone could’ve gotten seriously hurt with that little stunt.”
“You’re the one who landed in the middle of a racecourse.”
Sennari bit back a snort, some of her brothers not so quick and received one of Wolffe’s looks and she just knew he was snarling beneath that helmet.
“Perhaps if your men hadn’t been going so fast it wouldn’t have been necessary.” Wolffe stressed with a pointed look at Sennari.
“The point of a race is to be faster than your opponent.” Cody explained patronizingly, further tightening the set of Wolffe’s irritated shoulders. “Would you suggest an alternative?”
“That sounds like fighting talk, Commander.” Rex observed with a whistle as he approached, removing his own helmet and Sennari caught the glimmer in his brown eyes.
“Oh.” Wolffe finally removed his helmet, a snarling smile scrunching his features, making his synthetic eye look even more alien. “Don’t tempt me.”
Please. Sennari glanced between the Commanders, hope building in her chest, and she realized she wanted nothing more than to see these two strap mouse droids to their feet and break their own protocols.
“I can’t remember the last time we competed against one another.” Cody frowned and Sennari stood, her excitement mounting. “Let’s fix that.”
She slapped Trapper’s shoulder and the two scooped up the mouse droids, scurrying to Cody’s side as he handed Cale his helmet, grasping his shoulder as the two began to fix on the skates. Sennari heard hurried words behind her as she secured the droids, glancing back to find a wide-eyed Wooley staring at the Commander, unable to curb his joy.
“Have you ever done this before, Commander?” Cale whispered worriedly, glancing over at Wolffe who let Trapper and Sinker strap on his own set.
Cody gave him a look and he quieted but Sennari recognized experience in those eyes. Marshal Commander Cody liked to pretend he played by the rules, for a long time Sennari had never met anyone with a stick shoved so far up their arse, but the more she got to know him the more she realized he was just as chaotic as the rest of his buck wild battalion. Who else would rather roundhouse kick a droid than blast it full of bolts?
“Please, Cale.” Sennari smiled, swatting him away from the Commander as they helped him to the starting line. “I’ve got this.”
“Sennari.” Cody eyed her sideways, “Behave.”
“Don’t you trust me?” She winked and set herself behind him, hands lose at his back until Sinker set Wolffe up beside them.
Rex set his helmet at his feet, flag in his hands, and kept well away from the starting line. “You both ready?” he called and Sennari felt Cody tense beneath her.
She gripped him tight, flashing Sinker a determined look and the 104th trooper smirked at her in turn.
“Alright.” Rex raised his arm and Sennari dug her heels in, marshaling her focus as Rex counted down, her shoulder almost pressed to Cody’s back, and as soon as the flag descended, she pushed with all her might.
Cody took off faster than lightning, faster than Sennari with her hands tied, and she released a low whistle. Of course, Cody had done this before, Cale had been an idiot to doubt him, and she wandered over to Rex.
“Ten credits says Cody wins.” She offered, the two twisting to watch their small outlines round the corner, a flash of orange keeping well ahead of the grey.
“No bet.” Rex smirked, eyeing her sideways. “Am I right in assuming this was all you?” He gestured to the course set before them.
“For once, no.” Sennari answered truthfully, glancing over her shoulder at the shiny, his features exploding with joy. “It’s Wooley’s name day.”
“Right.” Rex nodded slowly, unconvinced. “And he came up with the idea all on his own.”
Sennari clasped her arms loosely over her chest, shrugging one shoulder. “I may have helped.”
Rex chuckled, “There it is.”
She returned to her squad as the Commanders started down the final stretch. Cheers erupted from the 212th as Cody crossed the finish line first, grasping a hold of Gearshift’s offered arm to slow himself down and watch Wolffe come trailing after, slapping down his flaring kamas.
“So?” She prompted, throwing an arm over Wooley’s shoulders.
“Best name day ever.” He beamed and Sennari smiled sideways at him.
The cheers died as the doors to the hangar opened and admitted a frowning General Kenobi, his eyebrows rising as he regarded the random clutter of clones, and General Skywalker seemed just as confused.
“We’ve been waiting on the bridge, Commander, what on earth is going on down here?” General Kenobi queried, watching him scurry to take off the droids.
Sennari’s features melted into mischief, giving Wooley a friendly shake as an idea lit a spark in the hazel. It could always get better…

Clone X OC Week Day 3: Conflict
Captain Rex x Jedi!OC Talia Riva from Illicit Affairs
Whenever you have a Clone x Jedi relationship, conflict is inevitable. The clones' creation was in preparation for conflict, Jedi train their whole lives how to handle conflict in different ways. The war itself is a setting of conflict, so when I wrote Rex and Talia I always looked at different ways for it to play out. There were a lot of action sequences, but there were also arguments that come up naturally in relationships or even internal conflicts. Talia as a character consistently struggled with her identity among the Jedi, how she never felt like she was good enough especially in comparison to Anakin. For today’s addition to @clonexocweek, I wanted to include a little snippet from a chapter of Illicit Affairs, where Rex’s proximity to Anakin and Talia on a mission brought this to a head:
Segment Rating is Mature, but overall fic is Explicit 18+
The Theseus System was located on the borders of the Mid and Outer Rim. Much of the system was uninhabitable, but it was home to Vakarus, a gas giant vital to much of the Galaxy’s Tibanna supply. Most commercial ventures preferred to trade with the mining colony on Bespin to fuel their hyperdrives, but in war time the control of such a substance could mean life or death for many star systems. The base on Vakarus was under Republic control due to pre-existing treaties, but the Republic had lost contact with the station a week ago. All signs pointed to a Separatist occupation, which left a hole in the Republic’s resources, which set them back in the war. The matter of taking Vakarus back wasn’t as simple as a simple siege; not only did they not want to risk damaging any of the mining facilities, but the planet’s orbital atmosphere also provided an unfitting atmosphere for attack. Vakarrus was surrounded by an asteroid belt, some of which operated as fueling stations or refineries to boost the business from the planet. These larger asteroids orbited the planet in enough of a frequency that they could be safely plotted between, creating a reliable path to the planet for smaller vessels, but taking a Republic Star Destroyer through the mass field wasn’t possible. With Separatists controlling the system, they had wasted little time setting up their defenses around the planet, including on these asteroid stations orbiting the planet.
Rex had been studying the map for a better half of the morning, memorized which stations were most heavily fortified and knew this would be a heavy battle for the Republic Navy, which was already decimated much at this point in the war. Ground troops wouldn’t see much of the action here, until the final siege of the base, but Rex still took it upon himself to be involved in the planning. That left the job of navigating the field, retaking the stations and coordinating the squadrons to Talia and Anakin.
“Our plan of attack is straightforward,” Talia announced to the briefing room as her eyes darted over the holographic map. Rex watched as she took a deep breath, straightened her shoulders, and returned her gaze to Anakin, who stood at the opposite end of the table. “We follow the nav path through the stations, bombers targeting out the Separatist anti-spacecraft artillery first then fighters following the path the take care of the Separatist forces. We take a methodical approach, station by station before we reach the mining facilities on Vakarus.”
Anakin’s eyes narrowed at the path lit up at Talia’s motions, “That could take days, time we don’t have on our hands.”
Talia frowned at him, but kept her composure, “It will take more time, yes, but we can’t risk a harsher assault and worse damage to the stations. And our destroyers can’t navigate through that asteroid field without blasting the stations.”
“Yes, we can’t risk damage to the stations, but if we take an alternative route,” Anakin started, pulling up a wider graph on the planet. With a wave of his hands, he highlighted one of the larger asteroids on the far side of the planet. “Our scouts reported the main Separatist stronghold, outside of the planet’s defenses, is on the asteroid IX-10. I’m suggesting I lead a squadron to the asteroid, if we knock out their defenses and comm systems we can clear a path straight to Vakarus for the rest of the fleet.”
“It’s ambitious but too risky,” Talia answered bluntly with a shake of her head, “You’re an amazing pilot and I’m sure you’ll get through unscathed, but your squadron will face heavy losses just navigating that part of the field. It’s not just the asteroids, the orbital pull of the planet is too strong, and there’s the debris of previous ships who have tried and failed. The shields of our basic fighters would be breached with a simple nudge.”
“And your path will cause just as many, if not more losses, by the time it takes you to reach Vakarus,” Anakin insisted. “Once the first station is attacked, the Separatist forces will be on high alert, reinforcing each station in the path. If we cut off the comms from IX-10, we’ll also cut off their ability to reinforce the stations.”
Talia exhaled loudly, planting both hands on the table as she leaned over, “Only if enough of your ships even make it there to take it out; this plan works best if we have the full force of our fighters coordinating the attack-“
“And the best way we do that is by splitting the field,” Anakin cut Talia off, his arms crossing as he stood his ground. “Besides, if we take IX-10, then we have a straight shot to the facilities on Vakarus. Your squadron should arrive just in time to back us up.”
Talia’s eyes flashed as she pushed herself off the table. She paced around, her tongue in cheek as she took in the charts. Her eyes darted to Rex with an expectant look, who now shifted uncomfortably in his boots. “Captain Rex, what do you think?”
Rex’s grip fumbled slightly on the helmet under his arms, his eyes leaving Talia’s face to example the map one last time in hopes it would help him find the proper words.
“The idea to approach the system station by station is a sound one, Sir” Rex started, each word level. Talia’s mouth opened as if she were about to confirm her correctness with Anakin, when Rex continued, “But General Skywalker is right, we stand the best chance by focusing on the station at IX-10 first. Plus, we’ll have the element of surprise if you attack the first depot, they won’t be expecting fighters to the main hub that quickly if they think we’re only attacking via the main route.”
Anakin nodded at his Captain then glanced smugly back at Talia. Rex returned the nod, before glancing back at Talia, who was avoiding his gaze and pursing her lips as she read the maps in front of her.
“Fine, we’ll do it your way then,” Talia said tensely, reorganizing the fighter rotations on the map to portray the dual assault, then she turned on her heels and exited the war room.
“D3, see what you can reroute to boost our shield regenerators,” Talia addressed the little droid buzzing around her starfighter as she sat in the cockpit. She had just gotten off a comm with Captain Storm, informing him that she would rendezvous back with the 412th before the cruisers made the lightspeed jump that would bring them into the Theseus system. Something she wouldn’t have had to do if they were coordinating the attack together as planned. Storm had caught the frustration in her tone when he commented positively on the plan, but Storm knew better than to press her on it now. At least before the battle; she was sure he would question her later.
The hangar was crowded with clones prepping their stations; engineers fueling up the fighters as Anakin and Rex briefed a group of pilots. Small squads for ground support were loading up dropships, and munitions were being carted around. Talia’s starfighter was just finishing fueling, and she was going through her own final checkups before departing. The perks of being on a different ship than her command was that she could usually maneuver in the hangar without being interrupted. Her fingers tapping along the control panel, she was impatient to leave this cruiser already. She just needed D3 to finish up and she could get out of here.
“General, do you have a moment?” Damn, she really should have closed the cockpit. Rex slowly stepped up to the side of the fighter, his eyes darting around them before returning to her, an imploring look on his tired face. With a sigh, Talia pushed herself up to step out of the fighter. Rex offered his hand to help her down, but she purposefully ignored it, calling on the force to guide her more gently as she jumped down.
“Yes, Captain?” She addressed him with a bit more rudeness than originally intended. At his furrowed brow, she turned to examine her ship, grabbing a rag and pretending to try and wipe off a blaster burn that had been there since the start of the war.
“You’re upset.”
Talia almost snorted. With all his keen skills of perception, that was all he could come up with. Still, she tried to hold in some of her bitterness.
“No, why would I be,” she answered a little lighter, turning around to face him again, her back leaning against the fighter. Rex always had this look as if he was trying to read every emotion on her face as he glanced at her, his honey eyes slightly narrowed at her still tight tone. He exhaled and glanced over his shoulder once more before continuing.
“I’ve served with General Skywalker for a long time, I know his plans can be risky but they always accomplish our goal,” Rex addressed simply, his tone softer than it would usually be talking about battle plans with her. “Besides, this way, there will end up being less heat on you and your men, making it a little safer-“
“I don’t need you diverting troops just for my safety.” Talia’s clipped tone came back as she couldn’t hold her glare.
“That’s not what I meant.” Rex held his hand up as he backtracked, “I just mean that while your squadron will have a harder run at the first depot, you’ll have less losses overall once the hub falls.”
“Yes, I know you agree with Anakin’s perfect plan.”
“I never said it was perfect, I agree it has its faults, but I trust General Skywalker with my life,” Rex retorted, his own words a bit short. ”And putting me on the spot between you two isn’t fair.”
“I wasn’t putting you on the spot, I was just asking for an opinion on strategy!”
“Which is fine, but you’re getting upset just because I don’t agree with you!”
“It’s not- that’s not it,” Talia sighed, trying to soften her gaze but she was still tense, her stomach gutted. “It wasn’t fair of me; I know, his plan makes sense in the larger scheme.”
Rex frowned, about to take a step closer but halted. “Then what’s-?”
“He just always has to show me up, doesn’t he?” Talia declared irately, pushing off the fighter. Before Rex could question her further, she snapped at him, “Do you know what it’s like, no matter how hard you try, no matter how good you are at something; there’s always someone better? That’s how it’s always been with Anakin. He showed up to the Temple, and in his first month mastered things that I took years to learn. He even already had a master, something I had to wait another three years for. No matter how hard I train, no matter how many battles I win, Anakin is always one step ahead of me proving he can do it better.”
She had to turn her head to the side, avoiding his eyes as she fought off the frustrated tears that prickled in the corner of her eyes.
“No one thinks that-“ Rex started, his voice soft and measured just to be interrupted this time by a huff of sarcastic laughter that Talia couldn’t hold in.
“You just picked his plan over mine; you know it’s better! And I know the Council thinks of it that way,” she continued ranting. “I mean, how could they not when they have their ‘Chosen One” to compare everything to. General Skywalker, leader of the Republic’s finest troops, compared to Talia who lost all her men on a recovery mission.”
“Talia,” Rex said lowly, eyes round in concern as he approached as much as he dared. “No one blames you for that; it was out of your control.”
Talia wiped her eyes with the back of her forearm before any tears could fall. She tried to turn away, but Rex gripped her forearm, only to drop it as a group of pilots patrolled by. With one last glance over his shoulder when they passed, Rex breathed in, stepping closer to Talia, and speaking even lower than before.
“Look, Talia. I love you. I’ve seen you do unimaginable things, and have seen how much your men respect and trust you. General Skywalker’s skills don’t take away from your own.”
Talia opened her mouth to spew off more arguments running through her brain when Rex took his chance to cut her off, his voice still calm and measured as he attempted to reassure her, “And just because I agree with him on this, doesn’t mean I don’t think you’re a great leader too.”
The kneading feeling in her gut subsiding a bit, Talia looked into his face again, into the calming honey of his eyes as he gazed back at her, the true image of support and admiration. She was about to express her thanks when footsteps approaching caused her to step back.
“You ready for this, Captain?” A clone with a standard crew cut, but an elaborate design of a nebula on his chest plate called out as he approached; Talia recognized him as Broadside, one of the pilots from Anakin’s Shadow Squadron. Fives strode by his side, his eyes rolling until they landed on Rex and Talia. Fives glanced at Talia, raising a brow, to which she just softly shook her head signaling not to worry about it.
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Rex exhaled slowly, a slight irritation clipping his tone as he turned to face his brothers. Fives walked to his side, and nudged him in the side with his elbow.
“Told you before, Broadside, Rex can handle anything you karbakarse can,” Fives emphasized with a slap on his Captain’s back. “A few asteroids won’t change that.”
“Wait, you’re piloting on this mission?” Talia’s head snapped to Rex, her eyes narrowed as her heart skipped a beat.
Rex opened his mouth to explain but he was beaten to the punch by Broadside, “Just a fun competition between vode, and Rex here stepped up to the plate.”
“You’re piloting?” Talia repeated, not even masking her frustration. Broadside didn’t seem to notice, but Fives’ eyes were darting between Talia and a now tight-jawed Rex.
“I can handle it,” Rex answered stiffly, his face clearly saying to not press it more at the moment. But Talia didn’t care to, she didn’t have the energy to say all the words running through her mind at how reckless this was, on any mission save one this dangerous. Was it worth putting himself in danger just for some bet between brothers? With how Fives and Broadside were teasing each other, it seemed the concern was only in her mind, but that didn’t ease her irritation. Without another word, she turned back to her ship, and climbed back into the cockpit.
Rex turned to her, his mouth opening as another tired expression overtook his face, but she closed the cockpit before he could get them out. The men stepped back as she was signaled ready for takeoff, and she couldn’t fly off that ship fast enough.
When Talia was in the black void of space, she realized Rex had said he loved her.

is there a random fun fact about something you enjoy? likeeee nms or smth?
One of my favorite fun facts about NMS that not a ton of people know is the bobbleheads you can put in your ship actually have tiny little bonuses!
Polo gives +5% maneuverability, Nada gives a 10% cost reduction on your launch thrusters, Artemis gives +5% boost speed, Apollo gives +8 damage, -Null- gives +5% shields, The Atlas gives +50YL to your hyperdrive, and the octopus figure gives a boost to maneuverability but I'm not sure how much!
They're not enough to really write home about, but it's kinda cool nonetheless! I just think they're adorable lol.

Just some lil pics of middle schooler Makoto to start things off before I eventually drop the whole cast. They are all open to some character design edits since it's basically regular Makoto but shorter and blazerless. But, for now, I will just show them. Don't wanna overcomplicate it. But, just a reminder. Tis a lil thought experiment here and character lore is all still the same for the most part! The little middle schooler hell-spawns are all just in the killing game. Or hmmm... A part of me also wants to imagine this as like, if Danganronpa was a kids show too. Like, that's also where my brain is thinking about the whole AU concept I have for Kiddieronpa. Who knows. Maybe, in due time I might even change the name of the AU here? Not sure. Diggity dang it! DUNNO ANYMORE T-T Am questioning myself again. Womp womp. Maybe there can be two or just multiple versions of this AU though. One where the story is just the what-if thought experiment I initially had it to be with the Trigger Happy Cast in the killing game as middle schoolers and how things would play out. Or, maybe another version could be where yeah, still a situation where the gang is in the killing game but like, no one actually dies? So like, just think of Total Drama Island here. Like, the two franchises are lowkey compared to one another like that so might as well. Or, another could just be like, the school mode. Cus why not. Let's just have Monokuma do some casual child labor/hj But yeah. Either I boost the angst factor on hyperdrive, make this more silly, or some mixture. Cus, like, Kyoko and Byakuya are just standing their with their fresh childhood trauma and I can't just ignore them! Also, Makoto's secret in chapter two was that he wet the bed until 5th grade, at least in the localization. So like, he's a middle schooler. The guy is still fresh from that and I am convinced that like, something was up or like, I dunno! Maybe he just had some reoccurring nightmares or... health problems. Though, anyway, there are some things I dunno what to do with yet. At least for the killing game idea like, there is one character that just makes me wonder and think of what I'm gonna do for them. And it's Mukuro. Just Mukuro. Like, she'd be a child soldier this time around like dang. Though, the world of Danganronpa hasn't been known to be a safe or ethical one sooooo yeah! I guess it doesn't help that Byakuya is my main loser so, in terms of character lore, I know 97% Byakuya's lore while everyone else is around 60% or lower. i really needta work on that O-O

Servant Matrix: KUKULKAN

Class: Foreigner/Invader
True Name: Kukulkan
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Height/Weight: 176 cm / ?? kg
Source: Mayan Mythology, ???
Region: ???
ENDURANCE GAUGE: [ / /X/X/X]
MANA CHARGES:[ X / X / X / X / X / X ]
COMMAND SPELLS: [ X / / ]
A benevolent goddess modeled after a major deity from Mayan mythology. While holding some key differences from the Kukulkan of lore, she holds steadfast to being a solar goddess related to both creation, and destruction. Her main goal is to destroy the Solar Cell- not out of malice, but due to the fact that when the Solar Cell fully manifests, it will become a danger to humanity. While she loves the ‘civilization’ built here, she uses her abilities to see that the ‘Sun’ of the Solar Cell cannot return the love that the people have given it, and sees destruction as a mercy- and is willing to accept the role of a villain in order to pursue it.
However, she has her doubts now. While she still feels as though the Solar Cell is lacking love, her Master's quest for answers has left her uneasy- and also asking herself 'what could happen for a Sun to lose the love for their people?'
Unwilling to be a hypocrite, she instead marches forward in uncertainty with her Masters, hoping that they'll find answers together.
While her formal class is 'Foreigner', within her resides 'Invader'- a cold, logical program that wishes to do whatever it can to gain power, and find the best course of action to destroy the Solar Cell. - Kukulkan's a powerful, all-rounded Servant. Using her magical energy, she can manifest either powerful beams of mana, or enhance her physical capabilities to get up close and personal with her enemies. Like a shooting star, Kukulkan tends to rush into battle with a smile on her face and a fire in her eyes, preferring to smash things up before it gets too complicated. With an excitable, curious, yet surprisingly wise personality, this Servant firmly marches to the beat of her own drum. However, her status as the special 'Invader-class' makes her an enemy to all those who exist in the Solar Cell. With her summoned purpose to 'destroy the Solar Cell', and her status as a good god who guides others, she finds herself at odds between her purpose and her nature.
Strength: C
Endurance: C
Agility: B
Mana: EX
Luck: A
NP: B++
SKILLS:
Charisma of Jade (A+) - Authority over water and wind, as well as a high-ranking Charisma skill. A positive, divine presence that most people can't help but be charmed by. With Kukulkan on one's side, fortune follows on the winds. The chance of death through poor luck is reduced.
We, the Winged Serpent (EX) - The divine authority to use the skills of other gods with the Feathered Serpent moniker, such as Quetzalcoatl. In theory, she can temporarily grant herself authority over things such as water, wind, and lightning. There are also more esoteric Authorities, such as temporarily reducing damage over that which is 'evil'.
Golden Sea of Trees Travelogue (EX) - Memories from a distant time and place, boosting Kukulkan's combat efficiency. She essentially goes into 'hyperdrive', with time and space bending around her as her magical energy skyrockets.
Civilization Creation (EX) - High ranking expertise regarding guiding the livelihood of living beings. The wisdom of the 'Teachings of the Sun', forging forth the ideal path. While best used when observing large-scale civilization growth, she can pass down this knowledge to individuals.
??? (Unranked) - Effects unknown.
NOBLE PHANTASM: Kinich Ahau Impact
Kukulkan diverts all of her magical energy, as well as the magical energy around her, into manifesting herself as a massive Luminous Body radiating with extreme heat and incredible density for a short period of time. While Kukulkan tends to this Noble Phantasm for one incredibly powerful strike, one can take advantage of this temporary form change for a variety of purposes.

Crystal of Atlan Starbreaker Build Guide for PvE – High Damage & Core Amp Strategy
youtube
Introduction: High Damage & Core Amp Strategy
The Starbreaker in Crystal of Atlan isn’t just about brute strength—it’s about timing, resource control, and smart use of Core Amplification. This build guide is designed for F2P players who want to push their damage potential in PvE without relying on pay-to-win mechanics. If you want to tank, deal big numbers, and stay mobile while dishing out explosive damage, this is the Starbreaker setup you’ll want to run.
Let’s break down exactly how to build your character from the ground up, starting with how Core Amplification works and which skills really matter.
Core Amplification Explainer
Core Amplification is the main mechanic that separates Starbreaker from other classes. When you land multiple hits with certain skills, you fill up your Core Amp gauge—represented by “lamps.” Each lamp allows a charged skill to hit harder.
Here’s the key:
Earning Core Amp: Comes from multi-hit attacks like Fiery Flurry or Starfall.
Spending Core Amp: Happens when a skill reaches full charge—usually on the final hit.
The more lamps available when you release the skill, the more damage you dish out.
This means the skill rotation is all about gaining Core Amp with quick-hit attacks, then spending it with high-damage finishers. The best part? Some skills both gain and spend Core Amp in one sequence if timed well.
Essential Passives Overview
Your passives make or break your ability to survive and keep pumping out Core Amp damage. Here’s what you’ll want to make sure you activate:
Heavy Armor Mastery: Always on. Boosts Strength and Physique when wearing heavy gear.
Special Quick Recovery: Lets you bounce back fast from aerial lockdowns—great for staying in control.
Charged Basic Attack: Adds mobility and crowd control, pulling enemies down or lifting them.
High-Energy Particles: Boosts critical damage passively. Core for high burst phases.
Extreme Dodge: Time your dodge right before a hit and you get Resonance energy—synergizes with Flamebound uptime.
Core Engine: Enables the Core Amplification system and enhances synergy with other charged skills.
Flamebound Trigger: When all charged skills land properly, Flamebound activates—boosting damage and enabling Crimson Armor and other buffs.
These passives run silently in the background but make your skill rotations smoother, tankier, and more explosive when managed correctly.
Ultimate Skills: Blazing Hurricane & Hyperdrive Scorch Flare
You have two ultimates, each filling a different role:
Blazing Hurricane (32s cooldown): This one’s your consistent AoE burst. Try to spend Core Amp when using it for max damage. Don’t waste it without Core Amp unless the fight demands quick pressure.
Hyperdrive Scorch Flare (150s cooldown): This is your nuclear option. Wait until you have full Core Amplification, then fire it off. You’ll deal over 14,000% physical damage + another 3,600% with Core Amp.
Pro tip: Save Hyperdrive for bosses or timed events where damage windows matter. It defines your major burst.
Main Skill Build Strategy
These are your bread-and-butter skills. You’ll use them on rotation to control enemies and output consistent Core Amp damage.
Melting Blitz: Multi-hit combo with an enhanced kick. Doesn’t generate a shield, so only use it when safe. Ends with bonus damage when Core Amp is active.
Fist Cannon: Charged projectile. Grants a shield while charging and reduces enemy defense. Cast in the air for a maxed-out auto-charge.
Burning Meteor: Dashes forward, throws an enemy or drops from midair. Inflicts armor break. Use after airborne setups for altitude bonuses.
Scarlet Comet: Single-hit charge. Blocks incoming attacks and deflects with a charged counter. High burst damage and useful defensively.
Flaming Hook: Deals dual hits, can scale with extra charge ascensions, and gets stronger the longer it’s charged. Great as an opener or combo extender.
Blazing Gravity: Adds crowd control. When Flamebound is active, enemies are pulled toward you when this charges. Use after triggering Flamebound.
Burn of Flames: AoE explosion that pulls in enemies and applies Flamebound status. Adds pyro damage for 10 seconds.
Prioritize leveling these as high as possible. They scale hard with both level and Core Amp multipliers.
Fluff Skills to Rapidly Stack Core Amp
These skills don’t do big damage but they’re critical for generating Core Amplification:
Starfall: Throw enemies around while inflicting armor break. Fast, multi-hit skill that guarantees two Core Amp pips.
Fiery Flurry: Another multi-hit skill that generates full Core Amp. Use this right before launching into your next combo.
Keep both at level 7—they don’t need high damage scaling, just reliable hits.
Charge‑Up & Shield Mechanics
Knowing when to charge your skills is essential. Many Starbreaker skills build a shield while charging, letting you tank through attacks if timed well.
Key interactions:
Fist Cannon and Scarlet Comet create shields while charging.
In-Air Casts of charge skills auto-max their charge level, allowing you to skip wait time and go straight to high damage.
Using charged skills as interrupts or tank tools can flip difficult fights in your favor.
Mastering the charge mechanic is vital to staying alive in tougher PvE content.
Combos and Rotation Flow
Here’s a sample combo sequence to keep your rotation fluid and damage high:
Open with Burn of Flames to enter Flamebound status.
Use Flaming Hook to pull enemies and stack hits.
Pop Starfall or Fiery Flurry to build Core Amp.
Launch into Melting Blitz or Fist Cannon to consume Core Amp.
Chain with Burning Meteor for extra armor break.
Drop Blazing Hurricane or save for boss phase with Hyperdrive.
Always adapt to enemy spacing. Reposition between combos to avoid cooldown gaps and keep uptime on Flamebound and Core Amp.
Flamebound Synergy
Flamebound isn’t just a visual effect—it’s a 6–10 second buff that boosts your damage and unlocks extra interactions:
While Flamebound is active: Pyro damage bonus applies to every hit.
Triggers: Skills like Melting Blitz, Burn of Flames, and some passives will activate Flamebound when certain conditions are met (like landing multiple hits).
Use Blazing Gravity only when Flamebound is up to pull enemies into your AoE zone.
Managing Flamebound is crucial for burst phases and sustained AoE fights.
Altitude Bonus Tactics
Certain Starbreaker skills scale with height. Burning Meteor and Scarlet Comet both benefit from starting higher up in the air.
Here’s how to get more altitude:
Launch with Fiery Flurry or charged Scarlet Comet.
At the peak, cast Burning Meteor to get the “dominance from above” bonus.
Use air auto-cast of Fist Cannon to instantly charge and drop burst from the sky.
This advanced tactic takes practice but adds a nice edge to your PvE damage.
Cooldown Management
Keeping your skills on rotation without delay is key to maintaining high DPS. Starbreaker’s best abilities come with moderate-to-long cooldowns, so efficient use of time between those bursts is essential.
Tips to stay fluid:
Alternate fluff and core skills: Use Starfall or Fiery Flurry while waiting on your big skills to recharge. They help build Core Amp and fill downtime.
Don’t waste Core Amp on weak skills: Always align Core Amp consumption with your heavy-hitting finishers like Fist Cannon or Scarlet Comet.
Stack cooldown reductions: If gear or passive effects reduce cooldowns, they should be prioritized for smoother flow between Core Amp bursts.
Knowing what’s coming off cooldown and what to hold back is what separates a good Starbreaker from a great one.
Leveling Priorities
Not all skills need max investment. Some are utility-focused, while others scale much harder.
Here’s what to prioritize:
Max out damage-dealing skills: Burn of Flames, Scarlet Comet, Melting Blitz, Burning Meteor, Flaming Hook.
Keep fluff skills around level 7–10: Fiery Flurry, Starfall.
Invest in utility passives: High-Energy Particles, Core Engine, Extreme Dodge.
Don’t overinvest in skills not used often like Blazing Impact unless you want to try alternate builds.
Focus your points where they yield the most Core Amp interaction or burst potential.
Gear Synergy
Starbreaker benefits most from gear that boosts:
Crit damage
Physical power
Core Amp effectiveness
Cooldown reduction
Shield strength/duration
Look for sets that add to Flamebound uptime or enhance charged skills. Even minor stat boosts like a few percent on skill damage can scale huge when multiplied by Core Amp effects.
If you’re playing free-to-play, prioritize rare sets with passive effects over stat-only gear.
Dungeon Performance Tips
In PvE dungeons, Starbreaker excels at both crowd control and single-target burst.
Keep these habits:
Open with AoE + Flamebound to gather enemies and apply pyro damage.
Use charged skills as parries: Scarlet Comet and Fist Cannon are good “counter-hits.”
Watch elite enemy patterns—line up Hyperdrive during their vulnerability windows.
Never start a dungeon without your Core Amp ready. Build it with fluff skills before the first pull.
Your rotation matters more in dungeons than in overworld content—tighten it up and you’ll see your clears get faster.
Best Combos for Trash and Boss Mobs
You don’t use the same sequence on every fight. For mob groups:
Burn of Flames > Flaming Hook > Melting Blitz > Starfall
This combo keeps them grouped and shredded.
Against bosses:
Fiery Flurry > Fist Cannon > Scarlet Comet > Hyperdrive Scorch Flare
Ideal when you need to burn a target with full Core Amp and Flamebound up.
Adapt based on what’s off cooldown and how much Core Amp you’ve built.
PvE vs PvP Skill Differences
This build is optimized for PvE, but some skills would shift if you were going into PvP:
Blazing Gravity loses value in PvP.
Fist Cannon and Scarlet Comet become even more important due to defensive capability.
Hyperdrive is rarely useful in PvP because of its long cooldown and setup requirement.
Stick to the guide for PvE content, but if you plan to transition into PvP, consider respec’ing a few skills.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
A few things new Starbreaker players often miss:
Using charge skills too early without Core Amp.
Failing to keep Flamebound active consistently.
Wasting ultimates like Hyperdrive without setup.
Ignoring fluff skills and running out of Core Amp mid-fight.
Stay disciplined with your sequence and your damage will climb naturally.
Final Skill Layout Overview
To quickly recap the skill allocation:
Main Skills Maxed: Melting Blitz, Fist Cannon, Burning Meteor, Scarlet Comet, Flaming Hook, Burn of Flames
Support Skills: Starfall (Lv 7), Fiery Flurry (Lv 7)
Ults: Blazing Hurricane, Hyperdrive Scorch Flare
Key Passives: Core Engine, High-Energy Particles, Flamebound Enhancers
Keep a screenshot or quick list handy if you need to rebuild from scratch later.
F2P Optimization Tips
You don’t need to spend to win. Here’s how to get strong without paying:
Farm dailies to upgrade core passives and fluff skills.
Join active guilds for gear sharing and build testing.
Streamline skill leveling: focus only on high-yield abilities, don’t waste resources.
Plan gear upgrades based on cooldown reduction and crit bonuses over flashy stats.
Playing smart is more powerful than paying heavy.
Conclusion
The Starbreaker class in Crystal of Atlan thrives when you understand how to manage Core Amplification, execute combo timing, and maintain Flamebound uptime. By syncing skill cooldowns, mastering charge-up mechanics, and using fluff skills wisely, F2P players can consistently clear dungeons, take on high-level content, and deal competitive damage.
This guide covered everything from essential passives to skill rotation strategy and build optimization. Whether you’re just starting or refining your setup, sticking to these fundamentals will give you the edge in PvE scenarios. Stick with the grind, master the rotation, and you’ll see Starbreaker’s full potential unlocked.

I slide my black metal credits card across the desk, “you have two weeks and unlimited funds to build a better ship. If you succeed I will admit you to my corp. If you fail, I will kill you for daring to be arrogant in my face. Get out.” I wave a hand.
Anakin nods a little and carefully takes the credits card, his eyes wide beneath his helmet, “Thank you, My Lady. You will not be disappointed.”
He spends the next two days looking over his plans, estimating a budget, and ordering every piece he needs. When they’re all delivered to the hangar Cody specified, he holes up in that space, working day and night to build this TIE by hand.
The deadline quickly approaches and he almost doesn’t make it- but finally, he finishes just before midnight on his final night of the project.
And gods, is it beautiful.
An upgraded twin ion engine pair, hand-customized for extra thrust. A better afterburner, for quick escapes. The X-Wing pilots get better every day, it seems like. Still not as good as him, but an escape is still preferred.
He’s made the wings more angular and pointed, with flaps that can even tilt inward further if he so needs them to. The wings themselves even have tiny boosters on the back to help with speed, glowing a gorgeous icy blue in the darkness.
Continuing with the outside of the ship, he found a way to rework the energy shields so that they take power from the new ion engine ever so slowly to regenerate once they are depleted. That way, if he can escape for long enough, his shield will regenerate before they can shoot him again.
His weapons design is even more impressive- somehow, by the grace of his own inexplicable brilliance, he found a way to switch between three different weapon types. On the guns, he’s got the ability to switch between thicker, slower laser bolts, and an automatic stream of faster, smaller bolts. And, on the bottom of his ship, a deployable seismic charge. Lighter than a typical bomb, which won’t weigh down his ship whatsoever.
Lastly, for his gorgeous second home of a cockpit. He incorporates a touch from his pod back home, where he was able to manually flip where the power goes. Should he ever need to do this, he can… manually override the natural flow of power throughout the ship and take it where he can best use it. If a wing booster gets damaged or runs out, he can take from the console power and boost that wing back up. But again, only if he needs it. That requires experimentation he has yet to do.
Perhaps his most proud advancements are the targeting system and the micro-hyperdrive he’s installed. Not only is the targeting system now unable to be disrupted by natural elements like mountains, but the hyperdrive will allow him to - almost quite literally - bend time and spice to escape, change location, or exit a planet’s atmosphere and enter a second one’s orbit in less than 10 seconds.
It’s brilliant, if he dares to say so himself. With the sleek, pitch black paint job and little stripes of blue and gold for subtle touchups, this thing is Anakin’s baby. And he’s so happy he’s worked so hard to get to this moment.
The next morning, Cody meets up with you at your office and walks down the hall with you toward Anakin’s designated hangar bay.
“So do you think Skywalker will have performed to your expectations?” He asks you.

365 Windows, Azure Virtual Desktop for Modern Virtualization

Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop for Modern Virtualization
Microsoft 365 Windows and Azure Virtual Desktop improve security, productivity, and affordability.
Businesses worldwide are seeing the benefits of Windows Cloud solutions. Many healthcare organisations prioritise how these solutions can balance and scale security, IT costs, and efficiency.
The survey indicated that workers and contractors that utilise 365 Windows and Azure Virtual Desktop save 6 to 12 minutes per day owing to avoided outages and latency. This boosts productivity, helping healthcare organisations maximise staff performance.
Learn how Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows Cloud can improve healthcare productivity and data security.
Healthcare providers who treat patients everyday know that getting them the care they need is most important. Data is crucial because timely and accurate patient data may help make the greatest healthcare decisions. Only authorised staff should access patient data and healthcare applications, therefore technology must be resilient and secure. When treating patients, equipment must be properly maintained.
Hospitals and other healthcare facilities have long employed traditional virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions to protect patient, employee, and business data and provide personnel with important information and tools across facilities and locations. VDI can help healthcare firms reduce costs, improve IT infrastructure management, and safeguard access to digital tools and data. Azure Virtual Desktop helps VDI customers manage their IT.
What's Windows365?
Healthcare organisations can use Windows 365 to develop Cloud PCs for employees, contractors, and other users to simplify and go beyond VDI. Microsoft Intune lets IT managers manage Cloud PCs alongside traditional PCs and install them easily with Windows 365. Windows 365 has Microsoft 365's productivity, security, and collaborative benefits.
With Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365's flexibility, scalability, and security, Microsoft's Windows Cloud solutions offer virtualisation choices for healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, life sciences organisations, and others looking ahead.
Azure Virtual Desktop supports clinical workloads
Organisations seeking virtualization solutions have freedom and control with Azure Virtual Desktop. It supports remote desktops and experiences from any location and endpoints safely and affordably.
Azure Virtual Desktop provides hosted PCs and clinical and productivity tools to healthcare companies. With Azure Virtual Desktop, IT administrators may create and manage a custom desktop virtualization environment using the Microsoft Azure portal.
Healthcare providers employ EHRs as a commercial system. Epic is the top EHR solution for healthcare providers worldwide. Microsoft and Epic are collaborating with healthcare organisations interested in using Epic Hyperdrive on Azure Virtual Desktop. It has created a draft reference design of the new best practices and prioritised product development based on these early production pilots.
In November 2024, Microsoft partner Imprivata announced support for Azure Virtual Desktop on Windows endpoints in Virtual Kiosk and Shared Kiosk modes.
Healthcare organisations often use Imprivata solutions to support “Tap and Go” badging with Azure Virtual Desktop virtual machines, so this expansion to Windows endpoints gives customers more options to configure their IT infrastructure to meet their needs.
Azure Virtual Desktop emphasises flexibility and security with numerous components clients can develop and adapt to their IT needs. Others recent upgrades include:
Azure Virtual Desktop multi-session support for Microsoft Intune Remote Help's single session support is a milestone for IT managers managing shared virtual environments.
Organisations have greater setup options with Azure Virtual Desktop for Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI). Azure Local helps enterprises satisfy performance or data localisation requirements or support locations with poor Azure public cloud connectivity by providing session hosts closer to their location or expanding deployment options to on-premises equipment.
MAM, dynamic autoscaling, and session host configuration and updating are also added.
To meet healthcare firms' needs, it develops innovative ideas and Azure Virtual Desktop.
Windows 365 cloud desktops
Some healthcare institutions may be looking for desktop virtualization solutions that are easy to set up and maintain without requiring VDI expertise or funds. Microsoft 365 Windows provides a familiar, customised Windows experience on any device, anywhere. Staff can use it as a cloud-based PC for settings, data, and programs. Intune can deploy and manage Windows 365 Cloud PCs and traditional PCs for the end user computing team.
Call centre staff, pharmaceutical and life science staff, and healthcare administration use cloud PCs. 365 Windows lets IT teams quickly install and scale virtual desktops, making it ideal for temporary contractors, seasonal workers, and part-time workers. With 365 Windows Enterprise's dedicated and customised Cloud PCs, employees can access their desktop in the Microsoft Cloud 24/7 from any device.
Windows 365 updates give healthcare organisations more options to improve access and resilience:
365 Windows Frontline lets organisations enhance employee access to Cloud PCs by sharing a license with many users, one at a time, depending on how the Cloud PCs are set up. Three users will have dedicated Cloud PCs for work. A Frontline Cloud PC can be intermittently shared by a group of users in shared mode, which is now widely available and non-personalised.
Some people or groups need extra disaster recovery, data resilience, or backup choices. Along with Windows 365 Cross-region Disaster Recovery, Microsoft unveiled 365 Windows Disaster Recovery Plus. This new add-on will give low recovery times and fully reserved capacity, regardless of availability, to ensure a fast and reliable recovery in a different area. This can be critical for healthcare firms with pre-allocated capacity, restoration time goals, and a need for geographic diversity.

Star Wars: Outlaws. Pt. 1.
A peace offering.
Actually, I only made the one. It's in the converter room at the top of the harvester.
All kinds of places, like, uh, you know, Imperial compounds.
All right - install the power core and hit the capacitor with your ion blaster module.
All right, let's go.
All right, sounds good. I'll take care of it and meet you back here.
All right, that should warm it up.
And hey, with the winds back to their natural course you'll have a way out.
And since I know what I'm doing it's free.
And where exactly am I supposed to get that?
As long as you don't mind ending up in a black hole, no.
Before we get fixing the hyperdrive you need to upgrade your speeder.
Bet it's strong enough to ride double now.
Can't I just boost one off a Pyke cruiser or something?
Could've used a few more of those disruptors.
Deal me in.
Definitely got something for you.
Except you.
Go take their money.
Good is a bit of a stretch.
Good, now remember, class 11 power core. It's probably near an engineering area but somewhere a little more secure. Maybe look for an office, a smaller room.
Guess I could have figured that out.
Hang on tight back there.
He was right -- oh, wow, look at this place.
He's running a table these days.
Hey with the nav computer and you're repairs how much am I going to owe you?
Hey, how do I use those, um, mag disruptors?
Hey, I think I'm at a tunnel, the only way through is with the speeder mod.
Hey, I think that actually worked.
Hey, I'm looking for someone who can rig my speeder.
Hey, if it was easy to get to, that computer would be gone by now.
Hey, you said you knew someone who could mod my speeder, right?
His boss seemed to like you.
Huh. Guess that means I have a rep too.
I can help you, but if you want a real kick I'll need a part, an atmospheric accelerator.
I can't believe you're still protecting her after what she did.
I can't fry this open, I think it needs authorization.
I can't stay on this moon any longer.
I didn't know they'd use it to divert the winds and cut off our farmers.
I don't care. At least hear me out.
I don't work with off worlders anymore but you look like you're out of options. Got a name?
I gave it to them in exchange for some off world parts.
I got a nice curated list of jobs here for you, but I'm not the only one.
I got some high rollers looking for a challenge.
I just need a class 11 power core.
I know what she's been through, I'm the one who fixed her.
I mean a hyperdrive doesn't really need a nav computer to work, right?
I mean, why don't I just steal it for you.
I meant your little pet there.
I need to get power to the ship somehow.
I need to kick up the power of my speeder.
I never should have made this. At least now it'll be used for something good.
I think I'm at the reactor.
I told you it has some serious kick.
I wouldn't call us friends.
I'll be the judge of that.
I'll send the coordinates.
I'm a little busy right now.
I'm at the Imperial compound.
I'm here, shat do I do?
I'm just trying to get your ship fixed, you're welcome. And uh, don't die.
In this line of work it pays to be anonymous.

Cut to the Reds mid-sentence, standing in front of a new person in yellow armour
Simmons: Grif's sister?
Grif's Sister: Yeah. Isn't that cool?
Sarge: You know I always knew there was a genetic possibility that Grif would have blood relatives. But I always held on to the hope that he was the horrible by-product of an experiment in a turd manufacturing plant!
Grif: Go home.
Grif's Sister: What?
Grif: Go home, right now. Get in your ship, uncrash it, and fly it home.
Grif's Sister: Whatever. Make me.
Grif: As much as I don't wanna spoil my reputation as a do-nothing slacker, I will not hesitate to beat you senseless and drop you in that ship myself.
Grif's Sister: I thought you would be happy to see me.
Grif: How did you even get here, we're in the future!
Simmons: Hmm, I think I know how. Did you use your hyperdrive to get here, or just the light drive?
Grif's Sister: Which one is the hippie drive? Is that the one with all the knobs or is it the other one with all the knobs?
Simmons: Yeah, she probably came here just using the light drive. And as Einstein theorized, in his theory of relativity-
Grif: English.
Simmons: When you travel near the speed of light, time slows down for you. Essentially she came forward in time by travelling at light speed.
Grif: That's stupid.
Simmons: No, that's science. Didn't you ever read the famous science fiction story where the astronaut watches his baby son being born, but then he gets in a ship-
Grif: No.
Simmons: Well, did you ever read the one where-
Grif: No.
Simmons: How 'bout-
Grif: I didn't read any of them!
Grif's Sister: Hey. Who's the nerd?
Simmons: Excuse me, I'm not a nerd. My mom says there's nothing shameful about being smart.
Sarge: Alright Missy, there's just one thing I don't get. How'd you join the Army?
Grif's Sister: What do you mean? I just signed up.
Sarge: But you're a... you know, you- you got lady parts.
Grif's Sister: So?
Sarge: So unless this is the cooking and sewing Army-
Grif's Sister: No, I went to join the real Army.
Sarge: Does your gun shoot brownies?
Grif's Sister: What?
Simmons: You'll have to excuse Sarge, he comes from the old school.
Grif's Sister: Thanks. By the way, nobody says "old school" any more. Actually, they told me I was too young. So I grabbed an extra suit of armour, and boosted a shuttle.
Grif: Glad you learned something from me.
Grif's Sister: Nohoho, I'm just kidding. I always wanted to do something like that.
Grif: But why did you join the Army? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Grif's Sister: Well, you always looked after me when Mom ran away to join the circus.
Simmons: W-wait a second, hold on. Your Mom is in the circus? You know, at first I didn't like you, but you've already made my insults forty-five percent more efficient by just saying one sentence.
Sarge: Was your Mom a flaming sword swallower? We could use somebody to replace Donut.
Grif's Sister: Nope. You know how circuses have a bearded lady, and a fat lady? Well, my Mom plays both, 'cause she's like, super-talented.
Simmons: Oh my God. Is it okay if I record everything you say?
Grif's Sister: Sure! Anyway, Grif always looked after me, but when he went away, I didn't wanna be alone.
Simmons: Okay, let me get this straight. You felt scared, being alone, so you decided to join a war.
Sarge: She's a Grif alright.
Grif: Wait a minute, she was the one who was tapping!
Simmons: Duh.
Grif's Sister: Yeah. I was wondering why you guys didn't answer.
Simmons: None of us know Morse Code. It's outdated.
Grif's Sister: Don't you mean old school?
Grif: No, don't you get it? If she was the one tapping, then what happened to Donut?
