Alright this one’s a big one! Here’s things Seventeen does as your caregivers! (I got carried away with some of them and wrote more than I expected to, oopsies!)

S.Coups: “Hey, y/n?” He asks sweetly, calling for you. You approach him, waddling from wherever you came from to see Seungcheol in the living room, lifting dumbbells and watching a weightlifting tutorial on the TV. Nothing out of the usual and you’re glad he’s sitting down so he doesn’t hurt his leg, but you’re still confused?

“Hm?” You ask, tilting your head. “What’s up, Daddy?”

Without saying much, he gets up from where he’s sitting, puts down his weights, and scoops you up into his arms, carrying you like a weight! You squeal in shock as he holds you over his shoulder, bragging about how you “fell for it again, silly cherry-pie”. You really should have known better, your muscle bunny does this all the time. You fell for it, again.

Jeonghan: He’s mean! But in a sweet way. He likes to play practical jokes on you and watch you get mad. Gaslight, gatekeep, Jeonghan.

It makes him laugh, but he promises that if you really don’t like his jokes, he won’t play them on you again, okay? Appa doesn’t want to be too much of a pain in the butt.

Joshua: He loves to do whatever you like to do. He’s always up for a princess tea party or wrestling in the living room, it’s whatever you’d like. Just make sure to let him know so that he can take off all that designer before you roughhouse and wrestle, please!

Jun: Takes you to the pet stores and pet shelters to pet the kitties and the puppies. Even if you don’t or can’t adopt them, it’s always nice to give our furry friends a visit!

He giggles when you ask to hold the animals and takes lots and lots of cute photos of you. You both ask the vets lots of questions and say goodbye to your fuzzy little buddies. Honestly, this is as much for him as it is for you, little one.

Hoshi: Snatch your pacifier or teether and suckles it himself. No, I’m serious. Unless you’re crying and in dire need of it, I think he’d just start suckling your pacifiers to soothe himself.

He’d also sit you in front of an iPad and call it stellar parenting (it’s absolutely NOT lmao) but then get distracted by the iPad himself and start watching slime videos with you… so now there’s two sticky, iPad babies and neither of you want to turn YouTube off. Oh boy.

Wonwoo: Okay, Wonwoo doesn’t understand it at first. He comes around to the idea and agrees to babysit you, not quite be your caregiver. And his go-to babysitting tactic? The Nintendo Wii.

You think I’m joking? He’s dusting that old thing off and playing whatever game you want with you. It’s interactive and it’s (mostly) PG, the Wii is perfect for a little kiddo like you. You both spend hours playing the console until you’re worn out or frustrated at each other (because Mario Kart can and will bring out the worst in people)

Woozi: Brings you the studio and lets you play with the keyboard. Might record a song purely made out of your babbles and giggles, which would go absolutely triple platinum in his earbuds. He loves hearing his little one having fun and being creative.

If he’s working, he’ll ask you to wait and preoccupy yourself as best as you can. But if he’s not working on anything new, he’ll let you mess around all you want on the spare computer (because he’s not letting you anywhere near the Universe Factory archives, nice try little one!)

DK: Reads your storybooks to go to sleep, but puts on dramatic shows and funny voices for every single one of the characters. I’m talking, FULL performances. He’s getting up to dance at some parts, he’s turning certain dialogue into little songs for you. He’s a theater kid, dude. What can I say?

Mingyu: Cooks dinner with you. Gives you very important tasks, like measurements and stirring certain ingredients (and when he’s not looking, you can’t help but to lick the spoon!)

Of course, he does all the chopping and handles all of the hot dishes, but you handle lots of other other daring tasks! And when dinner’s all done, Mingyu’s just so proud of you, little one! Now go wash up to eat!

Minghao: Takes you to the park on cloudy days, when not many people are there. He likes to watch you play on the swing sets and crawl up and down the swirly slide and run around and chase squirrels with you. He likes to meditate with you when it’s early in the day and cloud gaze when it’s late. Whenever you both are outside getting fresh air, it’s always a good day.

Seungkwan: Builds elaborate pillow forts with you! Sometimes, pillow forts are just needed. They’re good for the soul and fortunately, you love making them! Unfortunately, Seungkwan kind of sucks at making them so what you both end up with is a weird blob of blankets and pillows stacked on chairs, a funny little tent shape with crooked fairy lights inside, and many, many laughs.

Vernon: Outfit of the day! Some days, Vernon lets you dress him up head to toe exactly how you like. Usually, he’s left with odd accessories, untied shoes, backwards hats, and oversized tees with various comic book characters on them, but hey! It’s not like he does much better dressing himself!

Dino: Asks you nonsense questions and leads useless conversations just to hear you yap. Your little yapping is so cute to him, he’s infinitely amused by it. Plus, it gives you an outlet to feel heard, to feel listened to.

“Oh, yeah? Then what happened?” Chan asks with a fake gasp, smirking knowingly as you begin a rant of babbles to retell your tale. He’s listening intently, really trying to piece together the story you have to tell.

Yeah, Chan could listen for hours.

Anyone who has looked at the state of this account would know how much I love this musical. LOL. Technically it’s not his filmography but I adore it so it gets a review anyway!

As I’ve mentioned, this musical was the reason I began following Ben’s career. American Psycho is, as one might say, a very special interest of mine. I’ll forever be devastated it didn’t resonate with Broadway audiences, but it’s niche and weird and sexual and bloody and it was up against Hamilton, so it never stood a chance 😅 (I still hold out delusional hope for an OBCR! I know it’s been almost 10 years, a girl can still dream….)

Also fun fact that Ben did an early pre-Broadway workshop of Spring Awakening, so technically he’s gotten to perform Duncan Sheik’s work TWICE! If we’re lucky, we’ll get a third!

I could write an entire paragraph for each non-Ben cast member (and I know exactly already what I’d say for Theo Stockman, Jennifer Damiano, Heléne Yorke, Dave Thomas Brown….) full of praise for why they made this such a special run but I digress. I also hope we’ll see that proshot one day. I still see new fans for this little piece pop up even after all this time so who knows? Anything can happen ❤️

Slime tutorial + Script (for my friends who are deaf/HoH, need clarity on certain lines, have processing disorders, want to act out or reference parts later, or just want to follow along!! I always love having the script on hand when rewatching.)

Also, as mentioned in other posts, this production has a LOT of rapid flashing lights!!! If you watch the slime tutorial, please do so with caution. But also if you watch it, let me know, I love enthusing about it with other people :)

Rating every We Are The Tigers Songs- Act 1

Spoilers ahead! This is also based off of the Slime Tutorial/context of the show

Worst Team Ever- Fun opening number! It gives a quick look into each of the girlies’ personalities and gives Riley’s main motivation. 8/10, the slime cuts midway through the song so people are caught kind of off guard

Don’t Even- I love this song ❤️ It’s such a catchy song that really endears us to each of the girls as well as directly telling the audience who each face is. It also gives motives for Anneleigh + Cairo. 7/10, got stuck in my head for like a week

Skype Tomorrow- Ooof this song is a gut punch. I love Kate and Chess’s dynamic and this song shows the real downside of highschool friendships (also food for all the Kate x Chess girlies). It also proves Kate’s lack of motive since she only wants to spend time with Chess. 7/10, would love a version from Chess’s perspective or just more Chess in the song.

Before the Breakdown- I’m not really equipped to fully rate this song since I’ve never had an addiction, but in my (not-so-informed) opinion, I really like how it handles the concept of knowing that you should quit, but the fear of the life without the vice is preventing the girls from breaking out. I think it’s genius writing to have the two girls that were involved in the viral accident + being addicted to something (Farrah being a 15 y/o alcoholic and Chess being addicted to her medication) also be the main 2 victims. 9/10, the second half with all the girls is a little meh but I get the point. Also foreshadowing!

Forever- Anneleigh & Clark my babies! Clark’s only starring role and he is an absolute dork and the best green flag. Also the proposal at the end!? This song shows all sides of their relationship and I think the choreo would be really fun to make with walking the line that the song treads really well. That being said, it does feel like this song is trying to show 6 years of history/their backstory because surprise! He’s hardly in the show at all! 6/10, the end is the only plot relevant part of this song at all.

Captain of the Team- Reese poor baby :( I love this song for her and it shows her character really well. I just feel bad. Sweet baby angel was bullied for 7 years straight and it seemed to lessen when she was the mascot(?) but it was still really bad. Reese is just adorable 9/10

BtB 2- My heart!!!!! Farrah I believe you can be better! The “This Can’t Be My Life” is a croak of desperation in the slime and it gets me every single time. She wanted to be better. AND THEN SHE DIED 😭. Baby I don’t hate you it’s okay!!!! 7/10, it’s like a minute and it makes me sad

Wallflower- My fav! And song that feature Cairo is amazing and she’s a really good red herring character because of how aggressive she is. It’s also a really great look into how toxic the Riley and Cairo friendship is/ a look into Riley’s mental state. 10/10, we love a best friend fight

Defense- Second fav! It’s a great end to act 1. It’s fun, It’s catchy what’s not to like? It also have really good foreshadowing. 9/10, not much to say really

Watched the sixth episode of LEGO DreamZzz: LOVED IT!

So... LEGO released some drawing tutorials with Mateo and I just... they're so pure I wanna hug him 😭😭😭 They're super adorable, I love especially Z-Blob's since he spends the entire time talking about how great his slime buddy is and MOOD MAT MOOD 💚💚💚

We're beyond halfway, I'm kinda sad but I'll wait until the end, maybe we got luck for a season 2?

She said that the anomaly appeared "the other night" so it was clearly Z Blob... but technically the other night was when the show started for me, so I might see this as Mateo appearing in this world for the first time. Could it be he fit in in one night, everyone's memories were changed to accept that, and no one questions this?

... I know this just me headcanoning left and right and it's clearly not gonna happen

My #1 post of 2022

I feel like I need to share a story with you re: the Mountain Dew. Back when Mt Dew was only starting to branch out, in the long ago era of 2003, I lived in a party house known as Casa Discordia. It was, as so named, a place of discord and was lived in by many many crazy people with many many crazy ideas. Also, the entire house was fueled by different flavors of Mountain Dew, at the time of which there were only about seven, if you included the specialty flavors.

Anyway, one dark, horrible night, at about 3am when only the best decisions are made, someone thought it would be fun if everyone mixed their individual flavors of Dew together in a big bucket.

Between the lot of them (I was not present for this experiment, or else I probably would have made some comment like "this might be fun, but stupid, let's do it anyway) they had every flavor there was available at the time except for Baja Blast which was still only sold at Taco Bell. Naturally, being 3am, taco bell was still open. So the guys piled into the car and drove to Taco Bell to get several large Baja Blasts for this experiment.

Anyway, to my understanding, they got all the drinks, poured them all into a bucket, and then mixed.

The end result was a brown substance that, when I tried it later, tasted exactly like everything and nothing all at once with equal side parts of "dear god why", "cosmic abomination" and, "you should all go home and rethink your lives."

The house deemed the experiment "Cthulhu Juice" and finished the bucket within a day and a half, after which we decided never to do that again... ... except that a couple of us did do so later, when the first Dewmocracy came out and there was suddenly three additional flavors to add to the mix.

Spoiler alert: Never do that.

Anyway, that's the story of Cthulhu Juice and how about 15 idiots concocted the drink mankind was never meant to know.

This is spectacular and it needs to be seen by more than just me
