We're talking about this part one and this part two it's just crack. Pure fun.

Ok- first, Lexy- I think he's the type of person that by 10 pm he's dead to the world, not counting events and the few times he wakes up and needs to complete his weekly scheming, so, at 3 am on the clock, he wakes up sweating full of dread as he remembers that ONE time a student of some university he spoke at asked about him being in love with Superman.

The reason he gave? A specific fic written by one jokergagglingbatsballs35, where they go into detail on how his obsessive tendency of fighting Superman is clearly just the same yearning that Joker has for Batman. If he wasn't busy with the constant PR problems and his plans against Superman, he would have found you before the Joker. In the end, he doesn't, but the event still haunts him.

On the other hand, Superman is just digging their holes tbh. "Oh, we used to be friends, actually." and "I wish we still were," and xyz is just making the people who read the fanfics think that jokergagglingbatsballs35 is a 40 years old psychologist who sees right through everyone and just found a way to call it what it is without being sued.

Harley, if asked, she'll lie to your face, but she is the biggest Batman x Joker shipper as a guilty pleasure (she wants to see Joker being thrown around like a ragdoll) but her favorites are the Catwoman x Ivy x Harley fics batsis writes.

Selina and Pamela don't really care, but Selina has read one fanfiction regarding Batsy x Joker you wrote and had to put her phone down because from 8 pm it turned into 9 am and she had to reconsider her life choices.

You'd never write the sirens x Batman because you respect the girlies too much and don't think your father is capable of a stable relationship with one of them, let alone a polycule. BUT you do write Bruce Wayne x Two-Face.

He doesn't care that much, but if those edits of him being the badass turn into a fail compilation of him tripping over his feet while walking, he'll have a bone to pick.

Jason has a mental breakdown when Red Hood starts being tagged into your Red Hood x Joker fic, and stupidly tries to go to you for comfort, only to be told to grow up.

If a Robin/Nightwing x Slade fic got popular, not yours specifically, any in general, Dick is puting Jason's breakdown to shame- he will cry and then try to go out for a "talk" after he finds who wrote it.

Speaking of- I mentioned how Cassandra already knows, the second to know is Duke. He's in denial. Steph knows because Cass was sloppy one day after you were "kidnapped" by Joker and it slipped her tongue. It was all the blonde needed to jump from the "yeah, that's fucked up" boat into the "this the best shit ever" boat.

Damian, Barbara, and Alfred are "too old"™️for such childish things. Alfred knows. He knew as soon as he found you furiously typing away on your laptop, and all you could say was "Omegaverse penguin x batman".

I, however, feel batsis has bad luck, and someone would notice her and question it- maybe a Super being like "heyyy... You look oddly familiar. Have I seen you anywhere?" And batsis is just smiling and sweating bullets as she tries to keep her heart in check, knowing damn well they've met at a gala or in the batcave. "Nope."

This relationship is like Asmodeus and Fizzarolli minus the ableism implications.

Blitzø comes up with the most batshit crazy "plans" to keep the business at IMP going and Daddy Amazon will have to fund them since he/they is his sugar daddy.

The difference between this and the stuff Stolas has done to Blitzø is that Daddy-zon will be content to just ask for them to share the profit resulting from those "plans",then the remaining time they just hang out and Blitzø takes him/them on a tour around Imp City to show all the zanny stuff and horse stuff he likes (maybe even convince Daddy-zon to buy him a stable full of all kinds of exotic horses).

I’m really glad you mentioned this Anon because ever since I’ve been unironically saying “Daddy Amazon” and comparing the company to a sugar daddy it led me in my mind to ship Amazon, Charlie, and Blitzø together. But yeah, I definitely see it: Blitzø giving Daddy Amazon the most off the walls ideas to get more money and Amazon just goes with it because he likes it and gives the company more money.

Oh yeah definitely! Daddy-zon, Blitzø, and Charlie would all share the profit since they get more money from Hellaverse merch. I can definitely see Charlie and Blitzø getting away with using some of the money coming from fans and spurge on anything (Broadway musicals, horses, clothes, etc). And Amazon wouldn’t care but still add money to the account so nobody would be suspicious.

For me like I said in my original post I took it twice and the common factor was Gojo in both

satoru gojo and suguru geto this would be a super chill, deep and fun relationship. i think you’d all be best friends. its the kind of relationship where youre all comfortable with and know each other so well that words arent really even needed. gojo loves you and geto, geto loves you and gojo, and you love them both. you would die for each other. people might not even be able to tell if you guys are together or just close friends, but the answer is: both! you have fun together, no matter where you are or what you do. i feel like you and geto have to take turns being the responsible one; if you and gojo are up to something he’ll gently persuade you not to do something that ends with jailtime, and when he and gojo plan an elaborate, sinister prank on nanami you have to tell them to please leave the poor dude alone. gojo is also the clingiest mf in the world, so youre gonna have to let him cling to you or geto like a koala sometimes. geto isnt as clingy, but will want to just rest with you while reading a book. both of them crave stability, but also fun. oh, and i just see them being protective as hell. theyre the strongest, so you never have to worry about anything happening to you. overall this relationship is just very stable and sweet, and you all love each other more than anything.

satoru gojo and kento nanami this would be a… kinda chaotic but sweet relationship. you are the middle ground that keeps nanami from killing gojo. they bicker pretty often, and disagree on a lot of things — i do think theyd love each other, though. its just in subtext. when nanami tells gojo to fuck off, its said with love. all jokes aside, i think this relationship would work out well, as long as you can balance them out. sometimes gojo needs someone to be a menace with him, sometimes nanami needs someone who ISNT a menace. gojo will steal both your and nanamis clothes, and also cling to you 24/7. nanami usually pushes him off, so youll have to oblige, otherwise he’ll sulk and ask you when the divorce is coming. he’ll buy both of you gifts all the time, and even if hes annoying sometimes, he loves you; and tries to show it, even when it ends up with him audibly saying ”cringe” afterwards. nanami is more lowkey with his affection, but shows it through acts of service and words of affirmation. he wants to make sure youre not feeling overwhelmed, especially considering youre the one who has to ”put up with gojo” most of the time. they argue and bicker, but the relationship is full of love from all sides.

I can see it but I also think I would be more stressed in this dynamic than I am in my roruru one.

once upon a winter's night I was speaking to @/emmywlemmy (she has some good tmf art I reccomend) about the hypothetical Greater TMF Polycule (where we multi shippers just put all our ships) and we were like okay yay the jomies and jean! they can have a nice lil sleep over or something! and for the first time Drean was considered. so hear me out

1. drew needs more emotional maturity in his life and sean can very much be that emotional maturity. even though drew has friends, he doesnt exactly form deeper emotional connections, at least not to the extent that he had with jake yknow? I feel like drew and sean could also have those deeper talks that we dont see drew have with henry, liam, Zoey, etc..

2. enemies to lovers. I feel that itd be fun to see them learn to understand each other better and I think that out of the music club, sean would probably be the most open to getting to know drew despite everything?

3. drew can buy sean presents and sean deserves that

the idea is less in canon and more like future fanon in my head. like again I was talking to someone about a jomies+jean sleepover and we went okay. but what if sean got up in the middle of the night to leave (probably because of shit with their parents, something or other) but drew followed them and talked to them. The thing is, ive considered it as a ship a while ago simply because they were my favorite characters, but havent thought about it on a deeper level and then just forgot about it... though lately ive definitely seen an upspring in the amount of people shipping them and i can see it even though it is very unlikely that theyll actually interact in canon.

i feel like the potential of drew having parent issues (which i sometimes forget isnt actually confirmed) can also add more into this ship... and possibly make them parallel each other!?!? Assuming Drew is neglected by his parents or something akin to that, he would grow to have attachment and control issues and just really struggle with not being seen as important or needed in others lives, making him clingy and jealous and not being able to stand the idea of the people that he cares about leaving him... whereas with sean and HIS emotionally absent parents i belive hes become mucb more used to others not being there for him and his emotional needs not being met, so hes just accustommed to feeling more lonely or not being comforted during tough times, so he puts on a fake smile at times and generally dislikes others showing genuine concern over him because he might feel as if hes not worth others attentions, so he doesnt seek it out like drew, abd instead of dealing w his probelms he just escapes from them through music bc hes not used to confronting the emotions that havent been adressed as much as they should be throughout his chiildhood. however, he knows what its like to not be treated with care and kindness and patience from his home. and while he doesnt expect others to treat him diffrenetly, he doesnt want anyone else to feel that way bc he knows how much it hurts to have your emotional needs ignored. in sypnosis they may shgare the same struggles but have learned to deal with them in different ways

i guess my only "problem" with it is that a lot of the expectations on keeping the relationship stable and emotionally mature are set on sean? though thats the case with most sean ships from what ive seen. i suppose its simply in his nature to put others before himself like that... but i think drew could grow to genuinely appreciate sean and learn to confront his attachment issues and learn to appreciate himself as well irregardless of his relationships or how much other people pay attention to him. drew is constantly surrounded by so many fake people (zoey, jake, henriam, basically everyone he knows and cares about), and while sean does have a tendency to not necessarily put his emotions on display so hes not entirely honest all the time i think drew having someone that just loves him for who he is and not what he has to offer is really important, and just having someone that he could talk to in regards to a shitton of emotions he might be holding back. as for how the relationship would affect Sean - i think drew could sometimes snap him back into reality?? i dont think drew is inherentlys the most emotionally mature person on the planet, and as ive mentioned it here before i think he holds his emotions back at times, i think what he values heavily is Honesty, kind of contrasting seans escapism. drew also might be a bit self centred at times (or just actually thinks about how things affect him), while sean is much more humble and tends to put others before himself. idk. again im sort of having trouble enviosining what Drean would mean to Seans character. Maybe Drews harshness(?) would make sean realize that its ok to prioritize his emotions at times? and maybe face his emotions better. the concept of drew buying things for sean is also cute, its how drew shows love bc thats how he was shown love growing up while sean may not be super used to being shown much attention or love throughout his life and is also broke bc he works at a minimum wage part time job and his parents probably dont bother to lend him anything. sean is very attentive and understanding of others so i doubt hed question drews ways of affection. i also think them getting closer would make sean understand the jomies POV in the whole climax of s1 and everything that happened AND how that affected them

I also think Drew getting to know Sean better would help him try and understand people better and getting to know others more before judging them ( i mean he is a bully, he was also briefly shown bullying elliot in millys song, so maybe he has a bit of trouble when it comes to understanding others???? or how other people might be affected? like maybe he struggles w empathy just a bit (not saying that makes u a bad person i also struggle with empathy oftenly so idk if im self projecting here or something else). like maybe at first drew woul.d see sean as "that random sean guy, a music freak" but then come to understand him more and mayhapas by extension others and the other music freaks and why music might be so important to them, which could help him grow and stop being a jerk when he really doesnt need to be one .

when I started shipping it if I did: Sometime early this year, early enough that I was compelled to write them for Cest Fest, and now I want to write them forever. All credit to the legendary LQT (whom I’m far too shy to tag) for making me fall in love with them.

my thoughts: NO THOUGHTS JUST HAPPY TEARS. Ok but. They’re both war orphans for fuck’s sake, yay bonding, so I think they healed each other after the war. Teddy needed to be cared for and I imagine it was very therapeutic for Harry to provide that stable, unconditional love that he himself had missed in those formative years. And he was around just often enough that Teddy never saw him as a parent but always Cool Older Harry, so of course he idolized him since birth and was crushing on him the second he hit puberty.

What makes me happy about them: I started this in all caps, then told myself I would be normal. But god, they just get each other in a way that transcends age, like Sirry but, less problematic. I think Teddy keeps Harry young and grounded, even platonically before anything happens, I see their dynamic as like... built on inside jokes and knowing looks and unparalleled understanding that neither experiences with anyone else. Laughing about dumb shit to the point of falling over each other on the sofa like fucking teenagers (which, Teddy is, but), and it's a bit bemusing to outsiders because Harry is so serious most of the time, he has to be, most of us HC him with a pretty stressful job for much of Teddy’s growing-up, and Teddy is the counterbalance to that. He’s the one who just sees Harry, not as Head Auror or Minister for Magic or Professor Potter or Dad or Husband but as... Harry. Just Harry. And unlike Harry’s family, Teddy has no requirements or expectations for him. He just wants Harry’s love. And his massive trunk of a schlong.

What makes me sad about them: Nothing. This is my one wholesome ship and they are unfiltered sunshine. Except, ok, how guilty Harry feels initially and how hard he works to repress his attraction, because godfather and duty and bullshit, but Tedward will cure him of that. With his dimpled smile and his perky little booty and his titty piercings that everyone seems to have agreed upon. (And possibly with the assistance of Draco, who is delightfully free of Potter’s terribly unbecoming ethical quandaries, thank you.) But yeah, no sadness, unless Harry’s still married when they hook up or when his feelings finally clock him over the back of the head, so raise a glass for angst, but he has to divorce eventually!

things I look for in fanfic: This is a ship where I prefer them both to be of age. I enjoy reading darker versions of Harry, but my personal HC is that he would never pursue an underage relationship with Teddy because: a) Harry prefers an equal balance of power, someone who can challenge him and match him. All canon indicates he doesn’t want to have power over anyone; and b) He’s come to realize over the years that his relationship with Sirius, despite it being everything he wanted, was actually quite problematic and he was far too young and that’s what compounded the trauma of Sirius’ death to the point that it rewired how Harry approached relationships and he’s never fully recovered. So tl;dr my main preference is that Teddy is of age and Harry isn’t groomy. I also love the trope of Teddy going away for awhile after school and then coming home, and Harry, poor dense Harry, is like oh dear oh shit he's quite horribly shaggable.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Nope. Nope. These two are endgame, but I’m happy to add Draco to the mix. Worse case, Teddy might go for James Sirius but I feel like it would only be because he’s the closest thing to Harry. :‘( So, nope. Only Tedrarry OT3 or some polycule of Drarry/Scorbus/Teddy. Or... Sirius Lives AU and... yeah, I don’t know, it’s basically a testosterone commune at this point. Multishipping is hard.

My happily ever after for them: Ride or die, they grow old together. I think Harry would wait a long ass time before proposing and never pressure him into commitment because a) he’s a bit broken when it comes to relationships and b) he wants him to feel free to explore life/others, even though the thought of him with anyone else literally shatters what’s left of his soul, but he doesn’t want Teddy to sacrifice any opportunities for him, wants him to be sure. Really fucking sure. Also Draco comes inside at some point.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Harry’s the big spoon by default but Teddy is spoiled, he’ll climb all over him, cuddle him however and whenever he wants like a cat, and Harry’s such a pushover for this boy, he’ll let him. Let him do anything. Always has.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Quidditch, spending time with family, and they like to go camping. I think camping is when it started, at least that’s how I’m going to write it: for Teddy’s birthday, Harry asks what he wants and they talk about maybe traveling somewhere, and camping comes up kind of as a joke, but Ted actually loves the idea and they end up in the Forest of Dean so Harry can sort of overwrite that part of his life and create new (better) memories there. i personally would have loved to watch archie, betty, and veronica try to navigate being a throuple in season six (like betty clearly wanted them to but i digress) when veronica and betty couldn't kiss or have sex because veronica was made of poison and betty would die. i think they'd do some pushing daisies shit and it would be cute.

but ALSO i want to see them deal with the jealousy and the weirdness and veronica's feelings of isolation and inadequacy (her thematically relevant superpower is that she's MADE OF POISON) and archie being the tether to "goodness" for both his girlfriends even though the relationship is at its strongest when they're all making each other worse and betty is using archie as a proxy for veronica because they aren't allowed to kiss. they should all get to do challengers things to each other.

i think they'd be a hot mess and not a very stable relationship (veronica was right in that she needed to be single for a bit and archie and betty really needed to not marry each other) i think it would be so fun to explore. also imagine being jughead and your three closest friends are in a throuple and they didn't invite you which is fine because you've got your own fulfilling relationship. but still. he'd be weird about it. it would be impossible not to be weird about.

and would make it funnier when in the fifties he gets to write himself into the polycule but no reggies allowed.

☣ He's practically Ezra's adoptive older brother at this point, bond over the Saw franchise and ICP. He's surprisingly good with kids, like he's a good guy he just looks intimidating and crusty, which I did on purpose. But he is literally the sweetest one in the choir, super physically affectionate, gives good hugs.

☣ Along with Penny he also constantly looks like he's been shoved down a flight of stairs, which he claims is because he's gotten into fights. It's not, he just fell down the stairs like her. He wants to think he's all tough and everything but it's like the complete opposite, he's a dork.

♡ I'm ngl I like pretty much every Constance ship except for blackrose and kept seeing sugarspace art and thought it was cute. So there you go sugarspace crumbs, I'll draw them probably at one point.

♡ She is literally the reason why the choir is like mentally and physically stable. Course that's very mentally draining and never said it's a good thing!! She's probably pushed into the group therapist role at points, I hate the "mom friend" headcanon at points, it's accurate, but at points it can be really toxic, coming from personal experiences.

♡ She definitely shops at hot topic with Ricky and collects a bunch of really cheap fandom merch. Usually bracelets and necklaces, also really into styling hair. She braids Penny and Ocean's hair sometimes, and as mentioned before dyes her hair with Ricky.

♡ I don't like blackrose at all but they've dated for like… a day. It was not a great time. (Literally just one of those absolutely pointless middle school relationships that you forget about like immediately after a breakup)

Momo is the good girl. Kyoka is the babygirl. Ojiro is the good boy. Just a very calm and collected group overall where the loudest they get is listening to Kyoka practice on her guitar. While they might be awkward at first, soon they become a stable and comfortable throuple. No shenanigans, just sitting quietly together on a couch. Trying out new flavors of tea, either watching a Bruce Lee movie or checking out metal or classical or new age instrumental songs together on youtube.

Look, what can I really say here? I ship Ojikami, Shinoji, Shinkami, Monokami, Ojishinkami, Monojishin, SO it makes actual sense that I ship the 4 of them together!! (surprisingly enough, I really don’t ship Monoji but it's the only variant)

They would make a beautiful polycule of for and I’m not sure who would be the instigator between Shinso or Kaminari but I’m sure as hell that Monoma and Ojiro would be dragged into the polycule mess (one much more obediently than the other). Maybe a very horny party night that evolved into this or maybe Monoshin and Ojikami exchanging boyfriends, and things got out of hand quickly or maybe Kaminari’s rizz let to this… BUT… Who knows? Who cares?

The important part is these two loud chaotic bitches need their two calm partners in crime to counter them but at the same time someone that matches their energy. They would have so much fun together and at the same time they would bring the best parts of each other out :D

the way cobra kai fandom absolutely IMPLODED because of the johnny/carmen baby plot is so bizarre to me... like you guys know you can just ignore canon, right? right??? the end of the world as we know it is not here and the whole final season will not center this baby, it'll probably be an epilogue thing?????

i'm deeply Meh about this particular plotline too and would prefer it to not be a thing, but to be honest it seems par for the course considering how aggressively hetero this show has been from day 1

so many "there's no way carmen/johnny (either/both) would want another kid" takes - why? and for that matter, y'all know that a lot of unplanned babies live perfectly happy lives, right?

i've seen arguments that they're not financially stable enough? they seem to be doing fine, and even so, poor people are allowed to have babies if they want to. also: they're like, besties with the larussos now, do you really think daniel OR amanda would just let their kid live in poverty if it came to that??

(sidebar: i swear to god i saw people saying that carmen having a top gun themed fantasy was unrealistic or weird when i literally could NOT escape the tumblr top gun renaissance which had a huge overlap with CK fandom??? at this point it just kinda sounds like you hate carmen???)

also like, idk how to tell people this but... lawrusso was never gonna be canon you guys. this show is written by a bunch of straight dudes as nostalgia bait. it does truly have some great emotional moments, but it's also at the end of the day a show for all of these middle-aged dudes to go "hey remember the 80s??? weren't they so EPIC????"

not to mention i'm pretty sure some of the actors (ralph and billy especially) have some sway over the way their characters are written, and i just don't see them being that bold. ON TOP OF ALL THAT - it's netflix! they are here to milk this cash cow for all it's worth and that means appealing to the lowest common denominator.

that doesn't mean you can't enjoy fanworks!!!! i ship them too!!!!! everyone is queer as FUCK in my mind and it's SO fun to explore that as a fan and no one involved with the show can ever take that away from you!!!! i just feel like a lot of people have these overblown expectations of what SHOULD happen in canon and then are disappointed when the show inevitably just does what it does. of course it would be fuckin Sexy if the show ended in a johnny-carmen-amanda-daniel polycule, but it not happening doesn't mean it's a Bad Terrible Show That Should've Never Been Made™, you know???

4. Favorite triad or polyship

OBVIOUSLY the Extended Polycule we created in Heart and Homeland. Or, the one we’re in the process of creating, of course.

Outside of that, I am 100% onboard for a universe where Wilhelm is a bit more definedly bi and in a vee type polyship with Felice and Simon. And Simon and Felice are very close as metamours. I can actually see the Simon-Felice leg of this relationship being the most interesting part. Wilhelm’s also a bit on the enby side in this universe, and explores more of their femme traits alongside Felice.

This isn’t really a ship, but Maddie as solo poly reigns supreme in my mind most days.

10. Favorite S1 scene centered on a secondary character

I think I can narrow it down to two!

August’s interactions with adults in the parents’ weekend episode are all phenomenal. He’s being increasingly pushed to the breaking point by his circumstances here, and you can really see the small boy inside him trying to act like a grownup.

The scene where Maddie and Nils are both on the table and the camera cuts back and forth between them? Gold.

11. Favorite S2 scene centered on a secondary character

Can I just say all the saraugust scenes? @sflow-er mentioned the one in the stables followed by Sara showing up at August’s room, and @realredbanana mentioned their conversation about August being Wilhelm’s backup, and both of those are so good. But how could I also forget the scene where Sara teaches August deep breathing? You were there, my friend. You know how much I absolutely lost it when that happened! (I think @all-things-sigust mentioned that one as a favorite as well.)

A/N: So this is self indulgent and has all of my favorite things in it. It is inspired by the song mentioned in the tags, but in a strange warped kind of way because I chewed pretty hard on this series when I first got into it and started making weird stuff lol. I hope that you all like it! Stay sissy and bitchy everyone <3

If Jesper was hyperactive on a normal day, he was basically bouncing off of the walls now.

The whole polycule was very nervous about the arrival of their first baby, despite the reassurances from the midwife that everything was going smoothly and it was all normal. It was a given that they would be nervous, all first time parents were and they had trauma to compound it. Some of them were handling it better than others, of course. Inej and Wylan were stable enough that they were allowed to stay in the upper room with Nina and Matthias. Kaz and Jesper had been sent downstairs almost immediately, and were joined to be supervised by Wylan about three hours after their banishment.

The pregnancy had been a revelation that they all should have seen coming but somehow didn’t. It had been a long time since they were all touch-starved teenagers that had fallen into each other so that they could get the affection that they needed to live. Kaz had worked through his inability to touch people so that he was able to have bare skin contact with them almost every day. Nina and Jesper no longer felt the need to cling to each other or their partners every chance that they got. Wylan and Matthias admitted that they did need to be held and touched and it didn’t make them weak or selfish to ask for it. Inej had also discovered that she could have pleasure without pain or panic, though her trauma resurfaced more than the rest of theirs did. They had a healthy sex life and a healthy non-sex related romantic relationship with each other.

Having three people in their polycule that had the ability to get pregnant meant that they should have seen it coming as an inevitable eventuality, especially when they were all too happy to be in each other’s arms to realize that they should have been using protection. Inej rarely wanted to have actual intercourse with any of them since basically any position she could have it in sent her back to her time at the Menagerie, it was unlikely for her to ever actually conceive. Kaz’s sickness meant that any fertility that might have scraped through the special alkemi-made tonic he took to transition was basically non-existent. They had assumed that the same had happened when Nina’s powers shifted after taking the jurda parem in the beginning of their relationship.

They had been dreadfully, delightfully wrong. It was something that she realized almost two months after the conception date, which was only something that they found out two more months afterwards when they had actually found a midwife that they could trust. She had come to Inej first and revealed that her cycles had stopped, which she at first believed was a side effect of her powers and not because of a potential life growing inside of her. Afterwards, when they had told the rest of their partners what was going on, Wylan had made a test using the barley and oats like the old wives tale. It had come back positive and then they had lived in denial before they had gotten it confirmed both by Nina’s growing belly and the midwife.

A lot of trauma had been worked through in the five months after that. Inej had to make peace with the fact that she wouldn’t be able to raise the child the way that her parents had raised her or the way that she had thought she would have been able to raise her family. Kaz had to make peace with the fact that he was going to have a massive vulnerability that would be unable to take care of themself the way that his partners could. It was easier than admitting that he did have a vulnerability since they had already helped him work through that when they first started their relationship with him. Nina had worked through her fear of being a mother and what kind of a parent she would be with her new set of powers very quickly since she had wanted to be a parent for quite a while. Matthias was scared that in their line of work they would die and leave their child alone, as he had been, but the others had soothed the worry every time that it had come so he felt more steady in his abilities. Wylan hadn’t been that worried about being a parent other than the normal things that came to expectant parents, especially with his mother there to reassure him that she would help.

Jesper was probably the biggest mess, which was only made worse based on the fact that he had shoved most of his fears away into the bottom of his head to deal with at a later time that would never come.

Nina’s pregnancy had been relatively smooth, all things considered. She had to pull back with her involvement in the Dregs. They had created a story about her going back to Ravka so that she could visit with her other Gisha, but really she was just sequestered away in the Van Eck mansion to be pregnant and comfortable. She had barely any morning sickness and had handled the shifts and changes as her body made more room to accommodate their growing baby very well. Matthias had made sure to pamper her by rubbing her hands, calves, and ankles when they became swollen in her later trimesters. The biggest change was her appetite, which had somehow grown even more than it had been before. They were happy to accommodate with her with her favorite sweets and savory meals from her favorite restaurants.

The labor was the most dangerous part of the pregnancy and what was stressing them out the most. Wylan had looked almost like he was going to vomit the first time that she had a practice contraction and Matthias had almost broken his ankle in his struggle to be by her side every time she had one. They had lost so much and the idea that they had the potential to lose Nina during the arrival of their baby was terrifying to them all.

Kaz was running fewer missions than he usually did so that he could spend time with his family the closer that Nina got to her due date, but they were still out a lot. That had been the case when Nina’s labor had actually started. They returned home at almost eleven bells to find her kneeling in front of their couch with Inej holding one of her hands and Marya fussing with something in the kitchen. Matthias had immediately gone to her side while Kaz had slowly sunken down into a chair in the living room, his eyes fixed on her like she would disappear if he so much as blinked.

Her labor was moving quicker than they were expecting it to after all of the information that they had been given from their midwife. She had moved up to their bedroom to labor there when the twelfth set of bells rang out over Ketterdam. Kaz had stayed downstairs and Jesper had only made it to the doorway of the room before Inej had shooed him out. Wylan had gotten to stay for another hour before the room had gotten too crowded and then had decided that it would be better if he watched the other two boys.

So the three of them were left in the downstairs of their mansion while they listened to the quaking cries and aching groans coming from their wife upstairs while she worked to bring their baby into the world. Inej would come down and tell them what kind of progress they were making every half hour, and Marya had made them try to nap when the second morning bell had rung.

Jesper was so full of energy that it was basically out of the question for him to sleep. His entire body felt like it was alive, thrumming just under the skin, but in a different way than it had when he was allowed to indulge in his gambling addiction. It felt almost like he had swallowed bees and they had found their way into his heart and then through his veins. He was unable to sit for longer than a couple of seconds. The longest that he had managed since Nina went upstairs was an hour and that was only because Kaz had requested that they cuddle to soothe his own nervousness.

Wylan and Kaz napped through the night but Jesper stayed awake. He paced in the hallway, snuck upstairs to listen in on what was happening on the other side of the door, and then returned back down to his remaining spouses before they could notice that he was missing.

The light of dawn was beginning to creep over the mountains when they finally got some actual news. Things upstairs had gotten a lot quieter than they had been before. Nina’s screams of pain and discontented shouts of anger towards whoever had gotten her pregnant died out about a bell prior. They went quiet and listened for any kind of signal about what was happening, but were met with moans and groans of pain instead. They could hear the midwife, Inej, Matthias, and Marya all being encouraging towards Nina but none of them particularly knew what that entailed.

Jesper flopped down in the chair closest to the couch and kicked his legs out in front of him. He reached down to the shirt that he was wearing and had been since earlier that day. Despite all of his anxiousness and impatience, changing out of his working outfit into something more fit to meet his future child hadn’t even occurred in his mind. He turned his head up towards the ceiling and began to fidget with one of the buttons, doing it and undoing it over and over again.

“What if this had been me?” Kaz asked suddenly, startling Wylan out of the dozing nap that he had been taking on the other man’s shoulder.

“What do you mean?” Wylan asked, stifling a yawn.

“What if I was the one that had fallen pregnant?” he further explained. He was holding his cane with both of his hands and staring down at the sharp point of the beak, refusing to meet either of their eyes. 

Jesper turned a little bit so that he was able to look at his boyfriend. “I thought that we determined that wasn’t possible.”

“We don’t know that. It’s harder for women that have had firepox to have children if they’ve survived because of the fever that it gives you but it doesn’t make them infertile,” he shook his head. “What would we have done?”

“Probably the same thing that we did with Nina. We would have just handled your disappearance from society a little bit different,” Jesper shrugged.

Wylan knocked his leg against Jesper and shook his head. “We could have also arranged an abortion for you if you didn’t want to carry a child. It’s not like anyone other than Nina and maybe Inej were really anticipating parenthood in our future.”

“Mostly because none of us can think of a future,” Jesper mumbled. The present was the only thing that had ever existed for him so it was weird to contemplate that upstairs, his girlfriend was bringing another human into the world that he would have to nurture and love until they could make their own way in the world.

They went quiet again when the line of conversation was dropped. The idea that Kaz could have gotten pregnant out of all of the members of their polycule that had that ability was strange but not outside of the realm of possibility now that they were expecting their first child. Everything felt more like it was up in the air now that there were so many changes happening inside of the bubble that they had made the safety of their home into.

Jesper startled into a proper sitting position when the sharp, shrill cries of a baby finally wrang through the estate. They heard gasping from their wife and then sobs from the rest of the partners, which was to be expected in that kind of overwhelming situation. A set of almost-silent footsteps echoed down the stairs before Inej whirled into the room. Jesper sprang from his seat and then wrapped his arms around the delicate girl that he had fallen so deeply in love with to spine her around in a circle.

When he set her down, she kissed both Wylan and Kaz on the cheek and lips respectively. “We have a little girl! She’s the prettiest thing in the entire world, ten fingers and ten toes,” she beamed. She then turned to Jesper, taking his hands so that he was forced to focus and look down into her intense eyes, “She has your hair, Jes. She looks almost just like you.”

“You mean…” he trailed off as he felt his heart stop and start again. He needed her to say it explicitly before he finally believed what his mind was beginning to tell him.

“She’s Zemini,” Inej nodded.

He leaned down and wove his arms around her waist so that he could pick her up again. He was burning off the extra energy that fluttered under his skin so that he would be more presentable when he went to visit Nina and the new arrival. When he set Inej down, she was giggling, which only increased when he began to pepper kisses all over her face.

After they had finally separated from each other, Kaz had already risen off of the couch and was moving towards the staircase. Inej walked over to Wylan and grabbed his hand, weaving their fingers together as they followed after him. The trip to the bedroom that Nina was using to deliver their child was a short one. They passed the midwife and Marya in the hallway, who were taking a bowl containing the afterbirth and several bloodied sheets to be disposed of elsewhere.

When they got to the room, Jesper paused in the doorway to admire the scene in front of him. The walls and floors of the Van Eck estate had become very familiar to him since they had moved in almost half a decade ago. They had changed a lot of the furniture in placement and style to what they preferred. They had a large communal bedroom and then their own individual bedrooms for when they needed some time apart as well. The room that Nina had chosen to bring their child into the world was the one that she had decorated to remind her of home.

A desk was underneath the window, covered with papers and pens and whatever else it was that Nina was working on at the time. There was a closet carved in the Ravkan style with a matching cedar chest that had been turned into a place to sit for people visiting her. There was a four poster bed pressed into one wall with Corporalnik red colored silk hanging down around it, tied around the posts to create swooping beauty. The bed itself had recently been stripped down and her favorite quilt was tucked away in the closet so that it wouldn’t be ruined if she went into labor. 

She was laying back against what had to be every pillow on the floor, looking exhausted. Her hair was matted against her head with sweat, which also made her flushed face shiny. Her chest was uncovered but still hidden from sight by the baby in her arms, suckling down her first meal. The baby was already in a diaper and tucked in the blanket that Marya had been making since she found out that she was going to be having her first grandchild. 

“Hey there,” Wylan greeted as he walked over to his partner and then knelt down next to her. He glanced over at the baby while she continued to suckle away, his finger moving over her tiny little hand as she grasped at Nina’s breast.

“How are you feeling?” Kaz asked, his eyes also glued to their new daughter but asking about his wife.

She looked up at her husbands and a very tired smile covered her face. She was radiant in everything that she did, especially now that she had settled into her new power and used it enough for the Grisha healing factor to settle in. “Exhausted. I’m so glad that she’s here though, she’s absolutely beautiful,” Nina beamed as she looked down at the newborn in her arms. While she spoke. Inej ducked under Jesper’s arm and then folded herself on the edge of the bed so that she could look over the domestic little setting.

“What did you decide to name her?” Kaz then asked. He sat down on the cedar chest against the wall of her room. He was likely very overwhelmed and nervous about the idea of touching the baby but wanted to watch over his family.

“Jade,” Nina grinned proudly. “I thought that it was a nice Zemini name, one that I always wanted to use if I got to go there on a mission. Before I had met all of you, of course.”

“Of course,” Jesper replied as he snapped out of his trance.

The midwife and Marya returned so that they could finish up what they had been doing. They taught Nina how to properly burp the baby and then got her swaddled since she wouldn’t be getting Nina’s skin-to-skin warmth. Nina was basically falling asleep the entire time, so once they had finished and felt comfortable leaving the new family alone, she passed the baby over to Inej. “I love her so much that I feel as though I am bursting, but I also know that if she stays the rest of the night in here then I’ll just stay up watching her. Would you take her on a little tour so I can get some sleep? You can bring her back once she needs to be fed,” she yawned again.

“Of course, love,” Inej replied. She elegantly slipped off of the bed and prepared to walk out of the room without jostling the gurgling newborn in the slightest. Jesper moved out of the doorway and gave Nina another soft kiss to apologize for getting her pregnant, which had resulted in her having to go through the pain of her labor. She didn’t seem to mind as she sighed wistfully over the baby making a departure from the room.

The rest of them, with the exception of Matthias who wanted to stay with her to make sure that she was okay, left the room to go down to the parlor as well. Jesper finally felt settled enough that he was able to fold himself into a chair without fidgeting into another dimension. Kaz and Wylan tucked themselves into the same spot on the couch, deriving affection from each other as they watched Inej pace around with their newborn.

“Would anyone else like to hold her?” she asked when she was finally beginning to wear down herself. She hadn’t been able to sleep either since she had been helping Nina with her labor before the rest of them had even gotten home. 

“I think that Jesper should,” Wylan piped up before the other two got a chance to say anything.

Inej beamed at the idea. She walked over to him with the grace and elegance that only she was able to possess. She leaned down and moved Jesper’s arms into the position that hers had to be in so that he could cradle the newborn before she settled Jade down against his chest. She gave him a kiss on the cheek before she knelt down on the floor next to him.

It felt like the entire world zeroed in on just them, just Jesper and his firstborn daughter. She had his nose and Nina’s lips, which opened into a yawn that revealed pink gums and the most adorable mouth that he had ever seen. Her hands were curled around the edge of her blanket and also the tiniest things he had ever touched. The hair on the top of her head curled just like his did when it was cut short though it was sparser than his because she hadn’t had as much time to grow it.

He felt tears well in his eyes as his heart surged to grow a million times the size it had been before. He didn’t know that it was possible to feel love that was that intense despite being head over heels for so many people that he had to use a whole hand to count them. It felt like he was bursting at the seams with the desire to be able to protect the tiny, fragile being that he had participated in making. Someone had slaved over every little bit of her perfect body for nine months and then went through grueling hours to bring her into the world, someone that he loved very dearly. She was perfect because she was made of Nina, but also because she was his.

“Jes?” Inej asked, placing her hand on his arm to check on him.

“Sorry,” he sniffled as he turned his head away form her. 

“What’s wrong?” Kaz asked, his voice rasping from underuse that night.

“I just… I don’t know how my ma did it. How could she leave me to save someone that was a stranger when I was waiting at home for her? I would never do something like that to Jade, I would always have to be there to protect her,” he shook his head and then looked back down at the now sleeping face of her daughter.

Inej sighed and settled into a sitting position on the edge of the couch. “She wanted to make sure that no parent ever felt the pain of losing their child, like mine had to. She sacrificed herself so that they didn’t have to lose all of the love that we’re feeling,” she explained. “She didn’t do it because she wanted to leave you, she did it because she loved you so much that she had to make sure that other people didn’t go through that kind of pain.”

It felt different, to think about his mother and everything that she had done to better their community. He loved his daughter more than he thought he had room for, but he also knew that he was going to go to great lengths to make sure that other parents didn’t have to go through the pain of losing that wondrous feeling of love.

Carefully, he tilted the baby up and pressed an adoring kiss to her forehead. She squirmed a little bit under the attention but then settled perfectly, wonderfully, back to sleep in his arms.

Alas, as I am a complicated human, I have a few self-ships kind of mood dependent.

Primarily, and albeit newly, I have to say my front runner is Marco. I affectionately call him my retirement blorbo, but really what I mean by that is that he's the healthiest relationship option out of all the ones I self-ship with. He's stable, even headed, romantic, low key, experienced, and he's not a *bad* guy.

Also he's canonically just fucking ADORABLE with little kids, and that melts my heart pieces even though I have no desire for having kidlets in any situation.

Secondary is easily Eustass Kid - there's just a lot there. Found family vibes are crazy strong with the Kid Pirates, imo, it's like the exiles of the exiles stumbling into one another and finding solace in all their differences. It's dark, it's messy, it's rough, and it reeks of sex - and I like that. There's no apologies in the Kid Pirates for how they live, just that they LIVE, surviving in a world that wanted them dead even before they became pirates.

It's fierce, unapologetic, ugly and beautiful and I love it. I name Eustass, but honestly I see the whole ship a kind of conspiracy theory network of polycules and connections, and I'd be 100% okay with cuddle-piling and playing with pretty much everyone and anyone on the crew. But! It would be nice to be the Captain's "favorite" I'm ngl. (Ship's mascot, with my "height" xD if I'm being honest).

I also have self-ship ideas with Crocodile and Doflamingo... and maybe at the same time ^^;;; But! I mean, similarities between them aside, 1:1 would be very different. Crocodile strikes me as someone who wants to preserve what he adores as it is. Doffy wants to corrupt and manipulate and mold without breaking.

Caught between them Crocodile would be the one helping me preserve my sense of self, and Doffy would be pulling me into all manner of debauchery. I just feel like I could - and this is almost laughable - safely be evil with the two of them. Not even that I could BLAME them for it, so much as I could sink into things without losing who I was at my core.

Granted, me at my core would be horrified to be being mean, but if there's a way to be evil and kind, I'd sort it out xD

I think that's the big three for me - ones that I've given real deep thought to. I even have a self-sona? for the One Piece world, and at some point I want to write alternative isekai style stories where my existence in the world (as one Quill) changes the story - or not - based on what I choose to do.

Imagine a world where someone tells Crocodile the future >.> and he has time to plan around it.

(sorry this took so long to get out, my computer broke so its slow typing big text posts on mobile so please forgive any typos)

they're still in development at the moment as i try to build my nextgen but heres something of an overview of them so far to give you a bit of a general idea :]

some background: i like to ship shibusawa in a monstercule (monster polycule) of him, bram, lovecraft, adam, and sigma so the four kids i talk about here have additional siblings from those as well

they also each have some reptile i equate them within my mind that i use to characterize them

Tatsumi Shibusawa-Lovecraft

Tatsumi is th oldest of the family, and has the least conventional origin in comparison to not only his siblings but all my fankids (yes, even chimeraverse, even if those aren't actually technically shipkids).

He's technically closer to a singularity than anything else, first appearing as an egg shaped bundle of excess energy in the aftermath of Dead Apple. He wasn't really concious or anything during this, just a bunch of barely contained highly unstable energy swirling around. The egg was initially gathered by the ADA but was turned over to the Special Division for Unusual Powers so it could be more safely stored and observed. I don't want to spoil the entire story since I plan on writing/drawing it, so to cut to the end, the energy stored in the "egg" wasn't stable enough to actually form a living body and Shibusawa couldn't provide any more than what he already had. It required contact with another extreme source of energy, which ended up being the cosmic power Lovecraft is constantly using to maintain a human form himself. (I will say there were a couple other circumstances that could've provided Tatsumi with his stabalized human form, Lovecraft was just the one who actually made physical contact with the "egg" to actually trigger it)

His ability, Revolt of the Body doesn't actually do much, primarily because it's not much of an ability and functions more like Great Old One. It's main point of use is just shapeshifting and letting Tatsumi be able to do that without becoming unstable again. But... perhaps it does have other capabilities yet to be seen...

Tatsumi is fairly laid back but is also frequently bored and gets sleepy if his interest isn't held. He seeks out a lot of novelty to keep himself entertained (and yes as a result he is easily taken in by video games for those dopamine hits. Please don't let him near a casino.) He's rather sluggish in most aspects but when excited can cause a lot of accidental damage by forgetting how strong he is. He has a penchant for theatre and art and can be found skulking around galleries or performance halls people watching or waiting for plays or dances to begin.

He's designed to evoke a python or anaconda 🐍

Mina Shibusawa-Stoker

Mina is the middle child of the Stoker triplets (including her older brother Jonathan and younger sister Lucy aka Lulu).

Her ability, White Wyrm Lair lets her hypnotize others. The ability takes the form of a crystalline looking serpent that inflicts a setting bite, its venom making the victim extremely susceptible to suggestion. Mina can choose to activate the latent venom at whatever point she chooses, provided the ability hasn't been deactivated in the time passed.

She's got a lot of confidence and can be a bit of a trickster, using her charms for her own amusement. She's also very into luxury and likes to lounge around. She's honestly got knife cat energy, which I love for her.

Her reptile is a komodo dragon 🐉

Yukio Shibusawa

Yukio's one of the two "middle children" of the group (along with Slava, who isn't discussed here since they aren't a Shibusawa kid).

He's fairly laid back, or at least appears that way in terms of his introspective nature. He gets on well with most people and tries to be accommodating but can end up as a pushover in his attempts to people please conflicting against his own wants.

While he doesn't have an actual ability, he does eventually gain access to The Book. That plays a lot into his character and arch so I don't actually want to say too much about it here to avoid spoilers, sorry about that.

While it wasnt initially intended, for some reason he reminds me most of a snapping turtle 🐢

Epsilon Shibusawa

Epsilon is the baby of the family!

Because they're so young I don't have too much to say unfortunately.

They don't have an ability of their own but did end up inheriting access to Draconia's fog. They're very clingy to their family and don't like to be far from them or in new places around new people. They're generally very anxious and withdrawn, but they enjoy listening to stories and solving puzzles, which helps feed their curiosity.

While designed with the inspiration of a hognose snake, they also take some aspects from crocodilians 🐊

Bonus "Fun" Fact!:

The reason all of them have dragonic hybrid physiology is as a result of being fused with energy from Draconia. Tatsumi is of course his own special case in regards to that being a literal singularity and Revolt Of The Body making it possible for him to shift just how human vs monster he appears.

The others are permanent, with their horns growning from the spot in their skulls where Shibusawa embedded shards of Draconia gems into them, thus making them hybrids just like him.
