Would it be weird to ask for main Mark with Deoxys reader?
I can see them bonding about being aliens and being stronger than the average hero and all that(I can kinda seeing him like readers defense form)
Mark Grayson and Deoxys readerÂ
HeadcanonsÂ
This was made with more platonic thoughts in mind. I don't think I've ever played the games where Deoxys is in them, so this is based off the wiki.Â
As a virus from space, I can see the reader as someone who just doesn't really... fit anywhere. The universe is massive, so the reader most likely just kinda... floats around for a good while.Â
The GDA would be who spots the reader first when you come into like, earth territory. Earth doesn't really have Rayquaza to get rid of you or anything, so theyd send Mark.Â
I don't think Deoxys can technically speak human language, but from my understanding the pokemon has a lot of power and mind abilities, so you would be able to communicate with Mark through your thoughts.Â
You guys might fight for a bit, but its not completely life and death. More just you guys being unsure of the other, throwing punches first, asking questions later.Â
I imagine the reader shows Mark their origin in a truly alien way, by placing their tentacles against his forehead and just like, placing the memories of their creation into his head.Â
It might create a mental bond between you two, meaning you also get some feedback from Mark, his memories and feelings, which makes you feel drawn to earth.Â
You don't love earth or anything, you could actually care less. You are no human, and you know from Marks memories and everyone's thoughts, that you can hear, that the GDA wants nothing more than to pick you apart and study you.Â
Your multiple forms would be really cool to Mark, since he's a nerd and all. He ends up asking a lot of questions, and help you discover your limits and abilities that you haven't had time to study yet.Â
You aren't like, property to him the same way pokemon are to their masters in the pokemon universe. Instead, you are more of a strange ally.Â
You help earth because you like Mark, maybe because you figure out their treats are really good and that their music is nice, but you don't care much for the people.Â
A lot of them project their hate and thoughts way too loudly, but Marks your first friend, so its your duty to help out. Â
Being able to regenerate makes you very useful in battle as well, meaning you can step in when things get rough. Though, I feel you aren't there for the most part.Â
Instead, you are out exploring the galaxy and helping out when needed, since Mark made so much of an impression you when you guys mind bonded.Â
Theres still a thread connecting you guys, so you are able to teleport to Mark when things are truly going to hell, like when Angstrom is running wild, or the Mark variants and Conquest show up.Â
I don't think you ever learn how to speak the human language, instead you make different tones and whistles, and being around you long enough means people start to just understand.Â
You and Mark can bond on a lot of things, like being alien, too powerful, not fitting in completely, but Mark still has friends and community on earth. Him looking human helps too.Â
You are always an outsider, but not being human also means you don't have the human need for such things. Instead, you like chilling out in space, or at the bottom of the ocean, or wherever. Â
You do like hanging out with your human âcompanionsâ too, some who have made it their life's goal to introduce you to human culture one shitty movie at a time.Â

Broken Bonds
Xaden Riorsen x Riorsen Reader (Platonic) Oneshot Tw: Angst, targeted bullying, mention of blood, neglection

You coughed slightly feeling the blood drip down your stomach, this was yet another beating you got from the fellow marked ones. You could easily stop them you were the strongest of your year of course but you didnât. Why? Because it was one of your brotherâs rules, the brother you loved and respected so much
The brother that hates you, the reason? You didnât know and you never asked the only thing you wanted to do was make him proud before you die, you at least wanted him to acknowledge your presence, love you and treat you like a baby like he used to before your mother left.
Then you lost your father, the Fen Riorsen the one who led the rebellion. You didnât have anyone by your side to hold you and tell you everything was going to be alright, your brother now has found himself a family who would protect him-Â Garrick Tavis his right hand man and childhood friend, Bhodi Durran your cousin, Imogen Cardulo the pink hair girl who was once your best friend sister if you may call it- you wanted to be there too, to be by your brothers side but you were too afraid of his hatred
You had heard his words before and it broke everything inside you, yet you are here trying to be the best sister he could ask for. You learnt to be a healer for a year before you had to come to Basgiath. You helped the marked ones whenever you could and took their beating when they were angry
You stumbled into your room exhausted after the beating, you couldnât walk straight because the pain in your legs was very sever. The only thing you could do right now was tend to your wounds and hold yourself together
âYou shouldnât do this to yourself young oneâ you heard your dragon say in your head âtaking beatings like these when you clearly are strongerâ you knew your dragon was mad
âI canât defy my brotherâs rules Cal you know it better than anyoneâ you replied hissing softly as you tend to your wounds
âYour brother didnât give you any sort of rule that was to get yourself beatenâ she said angrily
âBut he did tell me not to raise my hand on any marked one if thatâs outside of the matâ you argued back as you finished tending your wound
âI do not know or understand why you do this to yourself, you are my rider and the strongest, kindest and the most self-sacrificing human I have ever seen. That is why I chose you young one but I canât stand here and see you repair yourself aloneâ she said angrily and cut the connection off
You sighed softly knowing you made your dragon angry yet again but what choice did you have other than this to get your brothers attention?
âIts time for dinnerâ you said out loud to yourself as you wore your uniform again and went to eat dinner
-
âSheâs stumblingâ Xaden heard Imogen say with concern
âWho?â Garrick asked though everyone knew who she was talking about
Imogen nervously glanced at Xaden before whispering âY/n, she wasnât hurt the last time I saw her and that was like 30 minutes ago, she even beat the guy who challenged her in 20 secondsâ
âI have observed thisâŚâ Bhodi began âshe is always hurt before dinner, I wonder why she covers her face with her hair like that?â
Yet no one moved to check on his sister including him, he didnât know why they never talked to her. He never restricted them to do anything of that sort. Its just him who avoids talking to her though he should as she is his sister
He had seen it too how withdrawn his sister was and how no one talked to her, how she kept to herself and never bothering anyone with anything. She had taught herself to fight and was the strongest in her year. She had her face covered with her hair as always like she wanted to be invisible or wanted to hide something
You were sitting alone in the far end of the big hall near the trash no one tried talking to you not even the marked ones and just like that you got up. Xaden observed how little you ate, He was concerned for you he was your brother after all
âYou should talk to herâ Sgaeyl urged him, she always did she was fond of his sister and would often stay in the shadows of the forest to look at her talking to her dragon
He saw someone follow you outside he was a marked one too, he would usually ignore Sgaeyl but this time something in his gut made him feel something was wrong and so he stood didnât explain anything to his friends and walked out following the guy who followed you
He thought the instinct he had was just false maybe the guy just wanted some fresh air, that thought was broken when he hurt a small pained gasp
-
You wanted to go and talk to Cal tell not to be so angry with you since she hasnât been talking to you, you didnât know someone was following you until someone grabbed you by the arm and pinned you to the wall
You let out a pained gasp as the wall was pressing against the wounds that were yet to be treated. You lifted your face to look who it was so you could fight back as soon as you saw who it was you stopped struggling, Alex Seraphiswas his name, he was one of your regular beaters
âWhere do you think you are going?â he asked in a hushed voice his grip on your arm like stell
âM-my dragonâs waiting for meâ you said in a whisper
His eyes narrowed at your whisper âI think she can wait moreâ he said his grip tightening making you hiss
âYou can hit me tomorrow please let me go nowâ you whimpered
âOh I donât want to hit you I want something moreâ he said as he leaned down to kiss your neck, you were shocked when you realised what he meant this was his revenge on you for beating up his friend on the mat
âNoâ you said and struggled
âNo?â he said in amusement âLast time I checked you canât fight because of many reasons and-â
He couldnât finish his sentence as he was thrown back to the wall âwho the fuc-â Alex started his sentence but his voice faltered when he saw who it was, you were stunned too
You had never in your wildest had thought your brother would finally notice you would finally help you
âI am letting you live because your parents helped my father run or I will do something I will not regretâ Xaden said calmly as Alex dashed away
He turned around to face you âXaden-â you started
âWhat the heck we-â he stopped himself when he finally looked at you, your bruised face which you had forgotten to cover with your hair âwho the fuck did this!?â he demanded as he held your arm making you hiss
âI will explain laterâ you whispered to him âI have to go to the lakeâ
âWhyâ he demanded his voice filled with concern
âCal- my dragon sheâs waiting for me thereâ you told him quietly, you honestly didnât know if he knew your dragons name so you had to mention that to him
Your pov-
âI know your freaking dragons name Y/n!â he said in frustration as he held me and started walking towards the flight field
âNot thereâ I whispered and told him mine and Calâs secret place of meeting, he was surprised of course but walked you to the location anyway
As soon as me and Xaden reached your secret spot Cal growled at him as I lifted my hand at her âHe isnât here to hurt me Calâ I said softly
âI donât believe him but for your sake I wonât do anything to him, if he does anything I will-â
âI know I knowâ I cut her off
âWhat did she say?â Xaden asked I was about reply when another dragon landed next to Cal, Sgaeyl Xadenâs dragon âwhat is she doing hereâ I thought to myself
âDonât worry young one she is here to warn your brotherâ Cal said
âWarn my brother what?â I thought to myself
I took a step away from Xaden as he tried to grip me again âI need to heal myself brotherâ I told him softly as I entered the small lake
I used my signet- water to heal myself. As water is in my body I am able to heal myself and also other cadets when needed but no one knew about it until now
I healed myself and walked towards my dragon âCal you are not mad at me anymore are you?â I asked softly she turned away before replying âhow can I possibly be angry with you young oneâ
I smiled at her words and hugged her head âthank you Calâ I whispered softly
âI am sorry but I have to do this Y/nâ she said in my head
âWhat do you mean?â I asked worried this is the first time ever since we bonded that she called me by my name
Then I heard a sound from behind me I turned around quickly to find Xaden on his knees I was about to rush over to him to help him when Sgaeyl blocked my way
âI am showing him everything that happened with you in the quadrant young oneâ Cal said âI know it wasnât my secret to share but I also knew you would never ever tell your brother of your troublesâ
âB-butâ I stared but was cut off when I heard whimpering âSgaeyl please let me passâ I begged I needed to get to my brother
She was reluctant I could see it but she moved away as per my request
I quickly rushed to Xadenâs side and kneeled down beside him âBrotherâ I whispered as I touched his shoulder
âI am sorryâ he chocked out as he grabbed me and hugged me tightly âI was so selfish I was thinking about myself and forgot all about you, I-I didnât know Imogen would break her friendship with you out of loyalties towards me, I didnât know you would offer yourself to the marked ones to take their anger out, I didnât know anything yet you never complained and I completely forgot you were only human I let the marked ones hate you because they thought I hated youâ he sobbed hugging me
âI donât hate you sister I never have yes I was angry when mother left us and I took it out on you b-but I didnât know that would give out the impression that I hated youâ he held me tight as though I would vanish if he would let me go âI am sorry I wasnât there I am so very sorry you are my sister my only sister my blood but I neglected you and even I donât have a reason for my neglect the only thing I can do is apologise and hope you would give me a chance to prove myself to be a brother to you againâ
His words shook me as I started trembling in his arms I have been waiting for him to finally see me and now he has I have never been happier. If this is a dream I hope I never wake up from it ever. I slowly returned the hug
âOf course brotherâ I whispered to him as we both let out our pain to one another
âIs it really a new start for me and my brother? Will we be fine? Will I find new friends? Will people start talking to me again? Will Imogen be my friend again?â I asked myself these questions as I held onto my brother like my life depended on it and this time it was because this was a new start for us and I will make sure nothing bad happens to us ever again

Yandere platonic Savage compress whoâs grown fond of his new apprentice while working for the sith at the time.
Sure! Here's me rambling about him ^^ Added Maul because I feel they're too connected to leave out of one another.
Yandere! Platonic! Savage Opress with Apprentice! Darling
(FT. Platonic! Darth Maul)
Pairing: Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Possessive/Overprotective behavior, Slight manipulation, Murder, Abduction, Isolation, Possible OOC Savage, Dubious companionship.
As part of his mission, Savage Opress was made to be Count Dooku's apprentice.
Honestly in the show he's always been an apprentice.
He was one for Count Dooku and then forced to be an apprentice to Darth Maul after he lost their fight.
Him getting an apprentice probably wouldn't happen...
Yet let's tweak the narrative.
Savage Opress met you when you were a young Sith in training.
Maybe you also worked under Count Dooku, that or you become someone Savage Opress manipulated into being part of the Sith?
The first option seems more plausible as Savage Oppress doesn't seem all that... manipulative compared to other Sith.
Regardless, Savage Oppress didn't expect to take you in as an apprentice.
Although, as he got stronger under Dooku's training, the opportunity eventually came.
You were to be under him for missions, Dooku claiming he wants to see improvements from both of you.
Normally masters and apprentices of the Sith aren't meant to be fond of one another.
Hate makes Sith stronger with the Force.
Savage Opress knows this due to how his training with Dooku goes.
Yet Savage Opress doesn't outright harm you as your 'master'.
Which makes the title a bit dubious.
He encourages you to fight with your rage though.
Despite being a brutal assassin, it's odd how much he's merciful with you.
You... just remind him of a sibling in a way.
After all, he was a big brother at one point in time.
You two may indeed get in fights, yet Savage notably is against roughing you up too much.
Unlike Dooku who would use Force lightning the second you didn't use your full strength...
Savage hates that.
Which, as a Sith, is probably good.
You weren't meant to be his 'apprentice' forever.
It was meant to be temporary to train him, yet when his initial plan to kill Dooku goes wrong...
He just takes you with him.
Dooku probably left you with him, expecting Savage to kill you in a blind rage.
That didn't happen though.
As much as Savage is a beast, it's not like you betrayed him.
Which ends up with Savage snagging you as his own.
You struggle to see him as a master because of how he treats you at times.
Even though you both aren't the same species, he acts as though you have a kinship with one another.
Truthfully Savage probably was never master material.
He treats you like he's meant to be your brother more than anything.
It's odd, while he's rough at times, you're more of a companion than a pawn to manipulate?
I don't doubt savage would drag you back to the Night Mother, then probably take you to find Maul with him.
You train with Savage many times under his watch.
That's what master and apprentice are supposed to do, after all.
Yet even you can sense an uncharacteristic fondness in him when he fights or works with you.
Even at Lotho Minor, Savage never takes his eyes off you.
It's weird, Sith don't typically have familial connections like this.
They usually breed hate... yet Savage is an enigma to you.
Savage is noticeably protective of his apprentice.
It's nothing like how a Jedi treats their apprentice, yet it's also unlike a Sith.
You're stuck with Savage during the Maul situation too.
Savage makes you stay back when he reasons with the beast his brother's become.
You still keep your Saber up though.
By the time Maul regains his mind, that's when you feel the aura of a true Sith Lord.
Maul only ever saw Savage as an apprentice honestly.
He may even be baffled at the bond you and Savage have.
You? His apprentice?
Absurd.
... but he can work with this.
I have a feeling you'd get two platonic yanderes eventually.
Savage's whole goal after Dooku was to meet Maul.
Which means Maul and you were going to be acquainted eventually.
What probably ends up happening is this...
Maul becomes Savage's master, while you remain Savage's 'apprentice'.
Although to Maul... He probably views it as him having two apprentices.
Savage is a brute after all... You both may need a guide in his eyes.
Anything Savage is taught is eventually taught to you.
Imagine if Maul himself ends up growing fond of you?
Maul has always wanted an apprentice to get back at those who have wronged him.
Now he technically has two....
Back to Savage, it's obvious he's an odd master to have.
You're taught how to use your rage by him but he doesn't seem to be a great teacher.
Not without Maul.
Savage mostly acts like a protective older brother, taking on most of the threats while you're meant to finish things off.
He feels a bit too nice to you, honestly.
Which is where Maul comes in.
Maul isn't as affectionate, in fact there's times he sees Savage's protective behavior as unnecessary.
Even though over time he starts doing it himself.
He tells Savage to be more cruel with you, that he needs to manipulate you.
Savage does... but it's more like him making you rely on him instead of what Maul intended.
Savage as a yandere can be brutal.
He may be nicer than most Sith or even Zabrak... but those who he isn't close to are demolished.
He's possessive, even if it manifests as him protecting you.
The thought of Jedi or anyone taking you...
Well, Savage plans to have them pry you from his claws if they want to try that.
His species are naturally good fighters and Savage is actually a strong Sith.
He'll crush bones, snap metals, and split his enemies in two over you.
He even feels a small amount of jealousy towards Maul when he offers to enhance your skills.
Savage thinks you're his apprentice, after all.
Maul may just find this behavior amusing.
Oh lovely, more hate Savage can use.
You most likely aren't surprised by Savage's behavior.
That or you see his possessive and ruthless nature as normal.
That is until you realize it's because of you.
Even then, best to not look too much into it, right?
Savage doesn't seem all that affectionate, either.
Maybe he occasionally pulls you close against him during fights, but I doubt he'd be overly smothering.
It doesn't seem to be in the culture?
Overall, Savage is animalistic and ruthless when it comes to taking down foes beside you.
He doesn't want anyone harming you, in this way he's selfish.
He can't have anybody taking you, after all.
This is an excellent source of rage for him... hatred caused by his fondness for you.
An animalistic and primal feeling that causes him to want to tear others apart for being too close.
He growls at passersby and never seems to have you out of his sight.
Maul only seems to encourage him at times just to get things done.
Savage cares for you more than any Sith master ever could.
When he dies, you'll probably be fine on your own.
Free, even.
Until Maul decides to step in.
It's about time you had a proper master than his brute brother, hm?

OC Layers Tag Game
I was tagged by the wonderful @holdingontojupiter and I must confess, I love Rhea, she is such a lovely person oooof.
Siobhan Ingellvar
LAYERÂ ONE:Â THEÂ OUTSIDE
Name: Siobhan Ingellvar. She is also known as Rook.
Eye Color: Light green.
Hair Style/Color: Auburn color. She either wears it down or pinned up with a stick if she needs to think quick (Emmrich gifts her a hair needle when he finds out). When she wants to feel fancy she does an intricate updo.
Height: 5'11/ 6'0. My girl is tall (but Emmrich still towers over her wtf)
Clothing Style: For adventures/dancing something she can move in that also protects her skin. She has issues with the scarring on her chest and the fabric needs to accommodate that. When she is not out doing things, she goes for style. Anything that resembles bugs/beetles, flowers, bones or the Mourn Watch will be in her arsenal. She loves dresses and things that tastefully obscure a part of her (like a see through veil that goes over her body). She likes to play with loose fitting garments and look as if they float but also make her look ethereal.
Best Physical Feature(s): If you ask her, its her eyes. But I love her curved nose and freckles. She has a dancers physique. Lean but muscular and the way she moves is haunting in the best way.
LAYERÂ TWO:Â THE INSIDE
Fears: To be alone. She told herself the story of the lonely girl for comfort but she fears that it will never stop. The ache of not belonging. That she has a taste of love and security and then it gets ripped away. She is afraid of people who hate Necromancers after a bad run in after her banishment. Also she fears that someone could find out about how angry and lost she feels.
Guilty Pleasure: Hardings food and Neves coffee.. She genuinely enjoys some of the recipes Harding makes (her potato soup just has something in it that tickles her brain. The texture is wonderfully off) and she likes the bitterness of Neves boiled coffee.
(Don't worry she enjoys Lucanis food too.)
Biggest Pet Peeve: People that are ignorant or condescending.
Ambition for the Future: Many ambitions but more like a list of things she wants to accomplish: She wants to make that map of the Necropolis. Attuned to the flows of the Necropolis, that gives insight to the position of all the graves and memorials. So that everyone can always visit their loved ones. She would like to teach about connecting to the flows of the Fade down there, an ability that she developed when she was young, but she cannot see herself as a full time professor at the moment. She wants at least one choreography together with her "Aunt" Cerys, one storybook and to finally engineer a beetle that can live longer than a few months besides Crawla. She wants to see the world for a bit, with Emmrich at her side. Either full time or as their vacation stays.
On a more domestic note: She wants to marry Emmrich and she would also like to have more children one day. So that Manfred can have siblings.
LAYERÂ THREE:Â THOUGHTS
First Thoughts Waking Up: Emmrich? Ah, there you are, my heart.
What They Think About the Most: She makes up stories about everyone up in her head. Lucanis -> The crow that dreams to become a wyvern, Bellara -> The hummbingbird on her search for the truth etc.
Besides that, she thinks about Emmrich a lot.
What They Think About Before Bed: Honestly, she falls asleep in Emmrichs arms so it's probably about her gratefulness to finally be his and him to be hers. That they are still alive. She thinks about his voice and how much she loves him.
What They Think Their Best Quality Is: Her empathy and patience.
LAYERÂ FIVE:Â DOÂ YOU?
Lie: Only if she must. She detests lies and people that do so without shame.
Believe in Yourself: Not that much. Although in the good (canon) storyline she begins to believe in herself and comes out a stronger person.
Believe in Love: Yes. Love is what knits the universe together. No matter if its romantic or platonic. Love is all around us.
Want Someone: Emmrich. Her scared boy and the curios professor at the same time. Her never ending story.
LAYERÂ SIX:Â HAVEÂ YOUÂ EVER?
Been on Stage: She learned to dance from her Mentor/WineAunt figure Cerys, the traveling orlesean dancer. So she was on stage a few times. Also when giving presentations in the Watch. She missed out on her chance to be on the stage for a conference, though.
Done Drugs: Yes, she smoked a bit. Also had some nice sessions with Neve and Harding in the Lighthouse. She and Emmrich also seldom did it together. That being said, she also tried the weird gas they collect from grave mist and oh boy did that do something.
Changed Who You Were to Fit In: No. The one minute she tried she felt like something in her died. She asked Cerys if she shoudl hide it but she actually encouraged her to be herself.
LAYER SEVEN: WHATâS THEIRâŚ
Favourite colours: Dark purples and lilac hues, oranges and greens. Especially the metallic ones on rose chafers. She loves gold and copper too.
Favourite animal: Herculean beetles. Crawla is one of those!
Favourite book: The dancing blade. A book about a controversial roguish hero that saves the world. A lot of maskerade balls, gondolian chases and undead.
Honorary mention is whatever Bellara writes at the moment.
Favourite game: She hates board games, even if she wishes she could like them. But she enjoys movement games, either from sports, dancing or theater. Also rock, paper, scissor with Manfred.
LAYERÂ EIGHT:Â AGE
DOB: They do not know her exact date of birth. But think she was either born in Cloudwatch or Bloomingtide, 9:21 dragon. She mostly celebrates her birthday on the 24 of Eluviesta/Cloudwatch because it feels good.
How Old Will You Be: 33 on her next nameday.
Does Age Matter: Not if everyone involved is a consenting adult. Sometimes love just falls where it falls and you should grab it while you can.
LAYERÂ NINE:Â FINISHÂ THEÂ SENTENCE
I love: Emmrich and the family that has build around them. Manfred. The Veilguard as a found family. Also Vorgoth, Myrna and Cerys.
And the future children they will have.
I feel: Exited. While there is a battle to be thought, there is also so much to learn and so many connections to make.
I hide: My loneliness and my anger. I don't want people to see how lost I feel some days.
I miss: Emmrich when he is not around for too long. She misses the childhood wonder of running around the layers of the Necropolis and the way she could hide in Vorgoths mantle.
I wish: For a better future and a happy ending. Whatever it takes, we will see it happen.
I tag: @guacamolleee, @griffongrey, @ollypopwrites, @caughtnyact, @bonesandivy, @notyourmamasdeerbat, @mosoderbergh, @fireheartedpup, @librivore42

Got bored so I made some moodboards for my krbkdk fic
This also doubles as fic promo and a way for me to make character files :)
Fic link
Thank you to everyone whoâs given my fic a chance despite the scary-sounding premise (cause letâs face it, ao3 is a gamble with a lot of topics), and whoâs continued supporting me through updates. This has genuinely been one of my favorite things Iâve ever written, and Eijiroâs story has taught me a lot about portraying healing through connections with other people, whether familial, platonic, or romantic. Itâs also allowed me to explore something Iâve always thought to be true: Itâs not the trauma that makes you strong, but the determination to heal and turn yourself into someone stronger.
Tw under cut:
Past teen pregnancy and implied past non-con (not between krbkdk), some spoilers for the fic
Kirishima Eijirođި

Age: 17 (as of chapter 19)
Birthday: October 16th, 2203
Identity: Gay trans man and poly
Parents: Kirishima Reika (mom) and Kirishima Kiyoko (mama)
Nicknames: Dada/Daddy (Eiko), Eichan (Izuku), Red (Katsuki), Ei (Izuku and Katsuki), Eiji (Mina), Eij (his mom), sweetie/honey/sweetheart (his mama)
Favorite Food: Meat, especially beef
Likes: Eiko, working out, manly things, muscles, sharks, heavy metal and rock, his boyfriends stealing his hoodies, playing with Eiko, baby shark (formerly)
Dislikes: Baby shark (someone please help him, his toddler is obsessed), assholes, his extended family
Love Languages: Words of affirmation, acts of service
Bio (au differences): Eijiro experienced some of the worst life has to offer and came out the other end a person determined to be strong no matter what. He never expected to be a dad so soon, and while he wishes circumstances were different, he loves his daughter with everything he has. His moms have been his number one supporters through it all, being his shoulders to cry into on difficult days, helping him learn the ropes with Eiko, and even taking care of her when he first started at UA. At UA, he was able to grow his and Eikoâs family a little more, first with Mina and Mr Aizawa, and then his entire class, who welcomed Eiko with open arms when she came to stay in the dorms after the war. Relationships scared him at first, both because of his past and the self-awareness of his own situation, but Izuku and Katsuki helped to break his walls down. Theyâre patient with him, and accept every part of him. They also have no problem including Eiko and recognizing her importance in his life, which feels like an absolute dream come true for him. He hopes the four of them can be a real family someday.
Bakugo KatsukiđĽ

Age: 18 (as of chapter 19)
Birthday: April 20th, 2203
Identity: Gay cis man and poly (also demiromantic but I donât get to show that as much within the fic, itâs just whatâs true in my heart)
Parents: Bakugo Masaru and Bakugo Mitsuki
Nicknames: Kacchan (by Izuku), Suki (by Eijiro), Kats (by Eiko)
Favorite Food: Anything spicy, mapo tofu
Likes: Hiking, playing drums, cooking, Eijiroâs hoodies, sparring matches, rock and classical music, making bracelets with Eiko
Dislikes: Being pitied, liars, his hearing aids giving him headaches
Love Languages: Acts of service, physical touch
Bio (au differences): Katsuki had done a lot of changing and adapting the last few years. If his middle school-self met him today, heâd probably explode on the spot. Half-deaf, half-paralyzed in one arm, in heart failure, yet still working to be a hero. Heâs not just friends with Izuku, but dating him, and Eijiro, too. Heâs not sure how his past self wouldâve reacted to him having multiple partners, but honestly, he couldnât be happier. Both of them embrace that he doesnât always show love in the same way as everyone else, and recognize heâs better at showing his love through actions instead of words. The thing middle school him would be most surprised by, though, is the fact that heâs grown attached to a kid. Eijiroâs kid. Eiko. Before he met her, he never saw himself having a family, and yet, he canât imagine a future without all three of them. He wouldnât ever admit it out loud, at least not yet, but he hopes there comes a day when Eiko recognizes him as one of her dads.
Midoriya Izukuđ°

Age: 17 (as of chapter 19)
Birthday: July 15th, 2203
Identity: Gay trans man and poly
Parents: Midoriya Inko and Hisashi
Nicknames: Freckles/nerd (Katsuki), Zu/Zuku (Eijiro), Izu (Eiko)
Favorite Food: Katsudon (and whatever his boyfriends are eating (food thief))
Likes: All Might, taking notes on heroes, heavy metal, helping others, silly shirts, Eijiroâs hoodies, letting Eiko put stickers on his prosthetic and notebook covers
Dislikes: Phantom limb pain, feeling like heâs useless without his quirk, his bio dad
Love Languages: Words of affirmation, physical touch
Bio (au differences): Izuku struggled a lot as a kid. His dad abandoned he and his mom after he was diagnosed as quirkless. He was bullied quite heavily, for both his quirk status and being trans, and didnât really have any friends until he got to UA. Eijiro was the first trans person his age he ever met, and he admired him for his strength and courage to be so open right off the bat to people he just met. It helped him to be brave and open up, too. After the war, he lost OFA, rendering him quirkless again. He also walked away with half a limb less than he had before, losing his left hand and most of his forearm. It was definitely a big adjustment on both fronts, but he was fortunate to get a killer prosthetic from people in the support course. Now that heâs dating Eijiro and Katsuki, he often finds himself daydreaming about their future. He wants to do all the domestic stuff people in serious relationships get to do, and he wants to do all the family stuff people with kids get to do. Even when everything else seems uncertain, he knows deep down that heâs found love that will last the rest of his life.
Kirishima EikođŚ

Favorite Food: Miso soup, apple juice, and strawberry cake
Likes: Sharks, her dada, her stuffed shark: Bips, her Auntie Mina, her grandmas, Izu and Kats, stickers, making bracelets, playing with her toys, Piggy, cuddles, having her nails painted with her special Eiko-safe polish, princesses, baby shark

Love Languages: Physical touch (give her all the cuddles right now), words of affirmation
Bio: Eiko has known nothing but love from the moment she was born. She missed her dada a lot when he first went to UA, but after his first year and a few scary weeks during the war, she got to stay with him, her Auntie Mina, and all his friends at hero school! Now sheâs surrounded by so many people who care about her and would do anything to make her happy. She was very happy when her dada made Izu and Kats his princes, because now she gets to spend extra time with them, and see her dada super duper happy! She really likes when they take her with them on some of their dates, like going to a cat cafe or the aquarium, and when they help her dada take care of her. Her favorite thing is to be snuggle up with the people she loves, safe and warm and happy.

I noticed two interesting things while watching episode 816.
The first is the development of Tommyâs character. Other fans have pointed this out too, but it's worth emphasizing: Lou is a guest star, which means he gets paid per episode. So unless a storyline specifically requires his presence, there's no real reason to include himâespecially after he and Buck broke up. Despite that, he appeared in episodes 811, 815, and 816. Weâve continued to see this push and pull dynamic between Buck and Tommy, as if they're on the edge of reconciling. Episode 816 was particularly interesting because he didnât even appear in the present timelineâhe showed up in a flashback from eight years ago, where he was saving Bobby. During the funeral, he was shown as one of the pallbearers, grouped together with the other 118 members. This made me feel like Tommy is being expanded into a character with his own narrative arc, rather than just being simplified as Buckâs li. While it felt like the writers had no idea how to use Tommy during 8A, 8B feels like theyâve finally figured out a plan for him.
The second thing is that it feels like Tim has closed the door on Buddie. I always thought Tim never intended to make Buddie canon, but he kept dropping bait to keep Buddie fans engaged. Even in Aisha's interview about 811, Tim seemed to want to leave room for interpretation. But in 816, he gave no room at all. Of course, it's risky to make such a judgment based on just one episode, but if Tim wanted to bait Buddie again, 816 gave him plenty of chances. At the very least, he could have had Buck and Eddie hugâbut the only interaction between them was, "I shouldâve been there.", "Hey, You're here now". After this episode, I saw quite a few Buddie fans finally realizing that Tim has no intention of making them canon. It feels like heâs trying to wrap up existing storylines and rebuild the show in a new direction.
Of course, we still need to see how episodes 817 and 818 play out. But 8A felt like a chaotic mess with no clear story direction, whereas 8B feels like a completely different season. Bobbyâs death is incredibly sad, but in a way, it feels like it breathed new life into the show. To be honest, I still have doubts about Timâs storytelling abilities. However, at the very least, he seems to be trying to keep the show alive by not relying too heavily on one specific character. Even if a major character leaves, heâs finding ways to make the show survive through the remaining characters and by introducing new ones.
All great points, Nonnie.
I will add to your first point that they did build on Tommy's character whilst reminding the audience of his connection with Buck. Granted, it is not outright stated in 816, but it is in the previous episodes. And even in this one, we can try to read between the lines and see Maddie and Buck's moment as could-be foreshadowing (the I love you part, I mean). So the show is constantly building on Tommy and Bucktommy, even if in the background. Which, you know - very interesting.
To your second point - I will add that it is interesting that the one scene they could've had alone, they didn't. They had Ravi with them , and whilst it did feel natural, it is also a statement to have Eddie stay with Buck, yet not give us a scene of them together. Of course, we don't know if 817 or 818 will give us a (platonic, ofc) scene between them, but to have such a big episode that relied a lot on connection... it surely is a choice*
Lastly, I still think 8a was a bit of a mess (it had its good moments, mainly -for me- 805), but 8b is picking up on themes that 8a insinuated, and in turn making it look better. This half of the season is definitely much stronger (which I'm relieved by ngl).
*And I am not saying this from a shipping perspective. I think it was the right choice to not focus on any romantic B-plots, or anything that could hint at more. But I don't think Buddie has that type of scene, so I'm strictly referring to a friendship scene, the way we had it with multiple other characters - including Eddie and Ravi.

Hi! May I request Yandere PLATONIC Tokito twins with triplet younger sister? {{In this au Yuichiro is Alive and both him and Muichiro are hashiras and reader is an hashira)But we have problems growing and stayed the same height as I was when we were 11[
Title: Unbreakable Bonds
In the dimly lit halls of the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, you could hear the soft rustle of your haori as you walked through the corridors. As the Flame Hashira, you were respected and feared by many. Yet, despite your unwavering resolve and strength in battle, there was one place where your guard was always downâaround your brothers, Muichiro and Yuichiro Tokito. Being their triplet younger sister meant that the three of you were bound by more than just blood. It was a connection so deep, so intrinsic, that it often felt like you could read each otherâs thoughts without speaking a word.
Despite being triplets, you had always been physically different from them. While Muichiro and Yuichiro grew stronger and taller with each passing year, you remained the same height as when you were eleven. Your petite frame and youthful appearance often led others to underestimate you, a mistake they wouldnât make twice. Though you carried the weight of your title with pride, there was a lingering insecurity about your size. But your brothers, especially Yuichiro, were quick to shut down any such thoughts. "Youâre perfect the way you are," Yuichiro would say, his eyes softening in a way only you and Muichiro ever saw.
Muichiro, on the other hand, was less vocal but just as protective. His actions spoke louder than words. He was always close by, ensuring that you were never in harmâs way, especially during missions. The Tokito twins were known for their fierce and often brutal combat style, a trait you shared with them. However, they both harbored a particular obsession with keeping you safe. It was almost suffocating at times, but you knew it came from a place of deep love and concern. They had already lost so much in their lives; the thought of losing you too was unbearable.
Yuichiroâs protectiveness sometimes bordered on possessiveness. He didnât trust anyone else to look after you properly, not even the other Hashira. He would often stand close to you during meetings, his presence a silent warning to anyone who might try to get too familiar. Muichiro was more subtle, but his intense gaze often lingered on you for longer than necessary. It was as if he was trying to memorize every detail of your face, just in case something happened and you were no longer there. The intensity of their emotions could be overwhelming, but you knew they meant well.
Despite their protectiveness, you longed for a little more independence. You were a Hashira, after all, and capable of holding your own. But every time you tried to assert yourself, one of the twins would step in, gently reminding you that you didnât have to carry the burden alone. "Weâre a team," Muichiro would say, his voice soft but firm. "We do this together." And so, you learned to accept their care, even if it sometimes felt like you were living in a gilded cage. The bond you shared with your brothers was unbreakable, even if it sometimes meant sacrificing a bit of your own freedom.
In the end, you knew that you would do anything for Muichiro and Yuichiro, just as they would for you. The world outside might see you as the powerful Flame Hashira, but to the Tokito twins, you were their little sisterâthe one they would protect at all costs. And as you stood beside them, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, you couldnât help but feel grateful for the unwavering love and devotion of your brothers. No matter what the future held, you knew that the three of you would always be together, bound by a love that nothing could ever break.

it just came to my attention that - as aro/ace - i don't actually like the 'friends to lovers' trope as much as i thought i did and i pretty much might hate it actually?
so let me explain!
i realized i usually just look for this specific setting in the few romance media i consume to supply the lack of queerplatonic representation in mainstream (or anything else), considering that the 'friends' part of the trope is normally sprinkled with the kind of oblivious affection that it's supposed to be seen as unintentionally romantic by the audience, but i simply... don't see it like that at all...
for me, at least, i like to imagine that those characters have a deep, immeasurable connection that don't exactly fit conventional labels of 'romance' but obviously aren't less meaningful because of that. I like to think, for just a tiny moment, that the friendship isn't being treated like another step on the path to romance, but a whole different journey; not something more, but something entirely different. It is frustrating when it inevitably comes to that point of the story where the characters conclude that all that endearment and love could possibly mean only one thing, however it's not like there's much of the kind of rep i'm actually looking for in media or even queer media, so i'd rather focus on the trip other than the destination.
all the pining, the fear of being 'too much' and end up pushing the other away, the amount of unresolved need for affection, or the urge to show how much you love and love and love but dreads being misunderstood, all things present in a loving platonic relationship, but, of course, it has to be downplayed in the name of a love that's supposedly stronger, better and/or more important.
and once i realized all that, i finally understood why would i always look for the slowest-burns possible or would very often drop a piece of media the second it extends itself too long after the couple got together or would get upset with strong friendships going romantic in canon, i finally figured it all out! lol
(and yes, i was absolutely exaggerating when i said i might hate the friends to lovers trope, i do believe it's pretty enjoyable, this is more of a plea for more aro/ace and qpr rep in media other than anything dw)

Could you please do some platonic headcanons for Konan? (If you care comfortable writing her) Konan's the love of my life frfr

Carnival á˘đŠ Konan X reader platonic head-canons

đۜৠWarnings: none!
đۜৠContext: being best friends with Konan <3
đۜৠa/n: Thank you so much for this request! This is my first Naruto fic so I was so excited when getting this request! Especially cuz I love Konan so much <3
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâll be your biggest supporter for everything, sheâll root for you for everything decision you make.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Since sheâs very skilled with origami, I feel like sheâd teach you how to do it, to bond and connect with each other.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ If youâre feeling down, letâs say you just got your heart broken by someone.. sheâll want to cheer you up and sheâll make you a bouquet of paper roses.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ She has trouble with painting her own nails, so sheâll ask you to paint them for her.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Even though she has trouble painting her own nails, she has no trouble with painting other peoples nails. So after youâre done with hers, sheâll offer to do yours next, making sure to pick the same nail polish you did on her, just so you two could match.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâs a bit shy with her makeup, sheâll want to experiment with new eyeshadow looks but wonât try anything out.. until one day you tell her âYou know, this kind of eyeshadow color would look great on you! You should try it out.â Giving her motivation and confidence to try a new eyeshadow look.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Konan is definitely more of a listener than a talker, sheâll prefer to listen to you talk than her, sheâll think your more interesting than her.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Matching tattoos!! She would absolutely love that with a friend.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâs strong and she knows that, so sheâll protect you during battles. She wouldnât want to ever lose her best friend.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ After she finished up the battle, sheâll come over to you, inspecting your body from head to toe then ask, âAre you hurt? Did you get dirty?â making sure you were absolutely okay.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ protective but subtle, Konan cares deeply for you.. though she doesnât make it obvious, she watches out for you. And if youâre in need of help, she will subtly come to your safety, in a way that doesnât cause attention to her.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Though she has a mean mug, her face seems to always soften up when she notices you in the room.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Special treatment, youâre her dear friends, why wouldnât you get special treatment? Youâve been there for forever so of course you deserve it.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Konan will love to share with you the knowledge she has, sheâll even show you paper jutsus, teaching you how to be creative with your own skills.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâll teach you how to fight better, because she cannot always be around to protect you, even if she wants to.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Once in a while, she opens up and you are sure to have your full attention to her. She doesnât open up often.. but when she does itâs serious. She has deep and meaningful conversations. Then after sheâs done, sheâll thank you for listening to her and staying by her side as a friend.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâll encourage for you to grow, to become a better version of yourself and to reach the peak of your potential. Sheâll share her own experiences to give you advice with it.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâs very afraid to lose you, she obviously knows the type of world you both live in. So really, all she can hope about is passing away before you do, so she wonât have to suffer the lost of another friend.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sheâll love to spend hours with you, like doing artsy activities. These activities help you both grow a stronger bond. And there would be a silence that brings you both some comfort and peace.
Ëâ¡ ÍÍÍÍâłâĽ Sometimes, you guys both share each otherâs thoughts together. Then hope that there will be a better future together, as friends.

"I Love Them And I Love That They're There For Each Other." đĽşđЎ
[Liam Vickers (The Creator Of Murder Drones) Talking About N And Uzi.] (GLITCH X 2023)
In all seriousness though, although I'm a Nuzi/Biscuitbites shipper and all, I overall really do love and adore how much N and Uzi's relationship has blossomed and developed over the course of the show so far and how much closer the two have gotten. Whether you see them as either platonic or potential lovers, you can't deny that these two are absolutely adorable and badass, and just work so damn well off one another, they're honestly the heart of the show, in my opinion. (â âĄâ  â Ďâ  â âĄâ ) You can honestly see the friendship and connection between the two and see that they do deeply care about one another and bring the best out of each other, it's honestly understandable why so many fans love the pairing between these two and their dynamic and find it comforting, because there's so much charm and even relatability to both characters. You truly do believe in their bond and their relationship is only going to get so much stronger once the final two episodes of the season are released next year, especially with the huge amount of stakes involved now + with N having to choose between either saving the universe or potentially killing Uzi.
N X Uzi is pretty much a slow burn, it's taking its time before things get serious between the two. To me, nothing in my eyes feels forced or rushed unlike other romances in pieces of media I've seen which didn't have the best development and growth, or the right amount of it. Although, relationships like N and Uzi have been done so many times and can be seen as cliche, (which I can get behind!) that doesn't always mean it's automatically bad and horrible, some cliche tropes for potential couples can/have worked as long as they're written correctly and done well! For me, when it comes to my favorite ships I like for them to have chemistry and believability and show the connection between the characters.
Honestly, for any romances/relationships in pieces of media to come across as believable than the audience must be convinced that the couple is genuinely connected and N and Uzi fit this category although we're only in the first season and we aren't sure what the future holds for the show, there's more potential to show more growth and development for N and Uzi and their relationship, with the potential of them being more! I honestly don't see how these two wouldn't end up together by the end especially after so much buildup and teasing only to have the two end up with different characters at the end of the show, it would've definitely left a bad taste in the fans mouths and would've been pointless. It would be understandable for N and Uzi to get together and it works, as not only do they have the strongest dynamic and relationship out of all the characters but throughout all the episodes (so far, at least) the two have shown to start growing closer and closer, the show has hinted at them being something more eventually. â¤ď¸
Now, of course, anything can go and Envy might end up being the endgame couple instead, especially after V's sacrifice and her growing character development things could change. But, I honestly don't really see them getting together and besides, He and V could still be friends and connect and not everyone needs to get/be in a relationship to be happy. V doesn't need to be in a relationship with N to be happy, she needs to improve herself first and become a better person which is what she's slowly doing and as said, she can still find happiness in a found family and friendship, she can still find happiness in other places! đđ

Finding Shelter in a Storm
Scarlett Johansson x fem!reader (platonic)
The movie set was buzzing with excitement. "Cut! Perfect take, Y/N!" the director shouted. Y/N Y/L/N, a relatively new actress in Hollywood, had landed a significant role alongside the legendary Scarlett Johansson.
Though the set was always alive with activity, there was one thing that always remained a constant: the sight of Scarlett by Y/N's side.Y/N had faced numerous hardships in her life. From a troubled childhood filled with bullying and familial disconnects to battling severe mental health issues in her teenage years, her life was anything but a fairy tale. Despite her talents, her insecurities often overshadowed her achievements.
However, joining this movie set was about to change her life in ways she never imagined. From the very beginning, Scarlett seemed to have taken an unspoken oath to be Y/N's protector. It started with small gestures: lending her a jacket when the set was cold, offering words of encouragement after a challenging scene, or simply inviting her to lunch so she didn't eat alone.
One evening, after an especially grueling day of filming, Y/N found herself breaking down. The pressures of the industry, combined with her personal battles, made it feel like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. As tears streamed down her face, Scarlett found her, sitting quietly in a corner.Without a word, Scarlett wrapped an arm around Y/N, drawing her close. The warmth and genuine concern in her embrace provided Y/N with a comfort she hadn't felt in years."Hey," Scarlett whispered, wiping away Y/N's tears, "you're not alone anymore. Remember that."
As days turned into weeks, the bond between the two grew stronger. Scarlett became the guardian angel Y/N had never had, guiding her, supporting her, and most importantly, making her feel seen and valued.
Their camaraderie wasn't lost on the rest of the crew, either. It was evident to everyone just how much Scarlett cared for Y/N.During a press tour for their movie, the duo was asked about their off-screen relationship. Scarlett, with a cheeky grin, pulled Y/N close. "I've got to keep an eye on this one," she laughed, "or she'll find her way into some kind of trouble."
Y/N chuckled and shook her head with a smile, her eyes darting to Scarlett. "Honestly, she's not wrong," Y/N playfully admitted. "But honestly, she's the best guardian angel anyone could ask for."
The interviewer, clearly amused by their banter, delved deeper. "We've seen all the posts on social media. Fans adore the 'mother-daughter' dynamic you both share. How does that make you feel?"Scarlett's eyes twinkled with pride. "It's heartwarming to know that our relationship resonates with so many. I think it's a testament to the fact that family isn't just blood. Sometimes, you find it in the most unexpected places."Y/N nodded in agreement.
"Seeing all the support online is surreal. It's like we've become this beacon of hope, showing people that no matter where you come from or what you've been through, there's always a chance to find someone who truly understands and cares."The interviewer nodded, clearly touched. "It's inspiring. Your story, Y/N, and the bond you share with Scarlett, has touched so many hearts. It's beautiful to see."
The rest of the interview was filled with lighthearted banter and shared memories between the two actresses. As they left the stage, arm in arm, it was evident to all that the connection between Scarlett Johansson and Y/N Y/L/N was profound and unbreakable.
Behind the scenes, the two continued to uplift and support one another. Scarlett, with her years of experience, offered guidance to Y/N, helping her navigate the challenges of the entertainment industry. And Y/N, with her fresh perspective, often reminded Scarlett of the joys and spontaneity of life.Social media was ablaze with fan edits, heartfelt messages, and stories from individuals who were inspired by their bond.
As the years went by, their relationship remained rock-solid. Scarlett often mentioned in interviews how proud she was of Y/N's growth, both personally and professionally.
And Y/N never missed an opportunity to express her gratitude for having Scarlett in her life.Their bond became a testament to the fact that sometimes, amidst the chaos of life, you find your anchor in the most unexpected person. And for Y/N, that anchor was Scarlett Johansson.

Shinsuke Takasugi Character Discussion PART 1 - Putting a Name to the Irrationality, that is Love
I recently finished watching Gintama and I really, really needed to talk about my current opinions on Takasugi's character. I'm absolutely blown away by the writing that I really, really need to put into words my emotions about it.
Warnings:
I think there are many ways to interpret Takasugi's dialogue given how ambiguous his choice of words tend to be. This is just my own personal interpretation that hits me best.
THIS INTERPRETATION HEAVILY IMPLIES TAKAGIN. Gintoki has always obviously been the most strongly connected to Takasugi's character. Platonic or romantic, I don't think there will be someone they can come to love more than each other. I know, implying a romance in a Shounen Jump series that's normally queerphobic? But it just makes sense to me (//shot).
Takasugi's attachment is pretty much obvious and evident from the very start, with how deranged he had become from the tragedy of the war and was acting out so as to not let go of Shoyo to live an ordinary life. It's interesting to note how Katsura was swayed by Gintoki to change his ways, but Takasugi wasn't. His childhood does somewhat explain why: until he met Shoyo, he seemingly had not a single thing to live for. As compared to Katsura who was loved by his grandmother, Takasugi was born with nothing - his parents were abusive and willing to kick him out at such a young age. It's no surprise he became unapologetically rebellious, while Katsura found his way as the Runaway Kotaro thanks to his grandmother. But because the meaning of life was so intertwined with bushido, that his parents would have loved him if he was a Samurai, a path was something Takasugi couldn't live without.
So meeting Shoyo, who saw him as a Samurai for the lost punk he was, was like being told there already is meaning - a bushido - in his present impulses. Their repeated encounters and exchanges cemented Takasugi's place at Shoka Sonjuku, and it makes sense for Takasugi to become attached to Shoyo who gave him that home. But as we hear more and more from Takasugi's perspective and his realizations with Kiheitai, it made me feel there was a distinction between his feelings for Shoyo and Gintoki - it wasn't Shoyo he was obsessed with, it was Gintoki. Gintoki represents the vague path he found as a Samurai.

And Shouyou's values simply allowed for that half-hearted, meaningless path.
When you're in the deepest depths of despair, as shown in many instances in Gintama, the love that pushes you forward is from the people who want the best for you. In Katsura's first taste of despair from losing his family, it was his grandmother's love for him that kept him going despite being ostracized for his status. But there was no one like that in Takasugi's life for him to keep going, which is why Katsura's criticism on how Takasugi was 'ungrateful for his chance at a good education' stands out. Takasugi only knew how to use his body to fight and gain power - likely from his hostile, unforgiving home environment where one would have to dissociate to cope - that it was the only thing he took seriously in life. But there was no name for that obsession. And for that Takasugi who couldn't think about anything else other than becoming powerful, Gintoki was the first and only one to respond to that violent spirit.
As much as any other child, Takasugi wanted to be loved, but because he grew up in a hostile environment, he knew nothing about expressing emotions normally. And so that desire translated into physically acting out as reason would only further harm you in a toxic environment. In Takasugi's depths of despair where the only thing he knew was to grow stronger and stronger, Gintoki was there, refusing to lose to him, even telling him to come back after his first victory when all other kids just ridiculed him. For the first time, Takasugi wasn't alone. And this stays true even in the present: Gintoki knows he has to stay strong for Takasugi to keep taking his anger on until he stops.

Naturally, when you find someone important to you, you want to be closer to them emotionally, you want to mean something to them. But the problem is that Takasugi's only way of expressing emotions is through violence, and Gintoki is probably the least open person when it comes to his own emotions. Because of this, although their scores were already matching up, Takasugi still felt as if he was chasing after him. So, more than anyone, Takasugi cared about the one thing Gintoki clearly held close to his heart: Shoyo. This is evident in how even on the brink of death, Takasugi made it a point to make Gintoki to promise to save Shoyo no matter what, even if it meant running over his corpse.
And when Takasugi takes out his anguish on Gintoki over Gintoki's 'choice' to pick Takasugi over Shoyo despite everything, not a single word is mentioned about Shoyo's emotions - all of his venting is just questioning why over and over again, focusing more on how the choice didn't make any sense.

The answer should have always been clear, that it was because Shoyo wanted to protect his disciples and Gintoki simply upheld this. Even Oboro tells it straight to their faces that their teacher granted them their lives. Katsura never seemed to ever question Gintoki's choice himself probably because it was too obvious. But Takasugi couldn't see it for some reason, and it bothers him so much from just not understanding why. This further goes to show how important understanding every fibre of Gintoki's being is to Takasugi.
And Gintoki is more aware than Takasugi of the very reason why Takasugi can't see it - because, in Gintoki's shoes, Takasugi would have done the same, but is unable to discern the reason why he would do such an irrational thing (hint: because he doesn't understand love, duh). This means a lack of self-discipline that doesn't follow Shoka Sonjuku's teachings and he is apparently no longer living by Shoyo's values. It's always been important for Takasugi to be a Samurai in some right. So as punishment for abandoning Shoka Sonjuku's teachings, he would have to kill the very person his body wanted to protect more than his teacher who was the rational choice. And Gintoki knows, because it's probably easy to tell when someone is obsessed with you.

Even in the very first episode Takasugi appears in the entire anime, his criticism of Gintoki's 'carefree' lifestyle reflects the lack of self-discipline he believes he has too. If he chose to kill Shoyo, he wouldn't have anything honourable to fight for anymore, and it would leave an even more bitter taste to live a carefree life on top of all the corpses he piled up after he abandoned their original goal of saving Shoyo. Takasugi hates that his choice would mean trampling over the dead bodies of his comrades. And seeing Gintoki live a peaceful life despite that 'selfishness' further fuels Takasugi's bloodlust to motivate his own self-punishment, despite also wanting him alive.

These beliefs Takasugi projected onto Gintoki actually come to fruition when Bansai is killed. Now that Takasugi is no longer blinded by his self-hatred, he can clearly see the corpses of the comrades who believed in him that he's been stepping on to get this far on his half-heartedness. Takasugi is the type who strongly wants what he wants (Gintoki, translated in wanting to win against him), but is also an emotional person who strongly cares about people - so walking down his selfish path is difficult with no scapegoat (Shoyo) to justify the horrible consequences to other people or another emotion to blind him from realizing it (self-hatred). As Bansai says, Takasugi is a weak man who anguishes about the corpses that pile up underneath him. Of course it haunted him thinking his body would selfishly save Gintoki instead of Shoyo in that moment and abandon the wishes of all the corpses of his comrades (supporting Takasugi to save Shoyo). Not only was he dishonouring Shoyo's values, he was also abandoning the people who believed in him.

This explains why Takasugi couldn't move on from the past like Gintoki and Katsura did. Katsura can be swayed by Gintoki because he knows nothing will bring back the dead and the best thing to do is to move on for their sake. Takasugi can't be swayed even knowing this, because of the self-hatred that whispers in his ears that he would never be doing enough to honour the souls of his fallen comrades and Shoyo. And it is a self-hatred born from witnessing Gintoki's 'choice', a constant reminder that he would choose Gintoki's life over Shoyo. When that wasn't what his fallen comrades or maybe even Shoyo (because they've come all this way for his life) would have wanted.
And in their next encounter on Rakuyo, Gintoki seems to even straight up joke about Takasugi's obsession with him. Cryptically, of course:

Gintoki did nothing to save Takasugi's life in Rakuyo, it was all Kiheitai. So in other words, it may not even be about their current situation, Gintoki is insulting Takasugi as a whole - Takasugi needs to rely on Gintoki's existence to have a reason to live, as Kiheitai sees him. This is because Gintoki was the light in his despair, like he was to Kiheitai (Spoiler: Kiheitai helps him see himself of course). And that is what torments him as he has to come to gripes with the lives he's willing to put aside for Gintoki.

Oooh I wonder what would yandere Shinra as a platonic yandere be like đ can I please request that with hcs please with a cherry on topÂ
I mean... Dude goes to extreme lengths to get his brother back from what I remember. I wouldn't be surprised if he went feral when it came to his obsession either. Sorry this seemed so disorganized. I was overthinking a bit too much.
Minor spoiler warning for the end of the manga, I make small references to it based on what I've seen on it.
Yandere! Platonic! Shinra Kusakabe Concept
Pairing: Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Violence, Overprotective behavior, Fear of loss, Isolation, Murder, Blood, Dubious/Forced companionship.
Shinra has always wanted to be a hero in the eyes of the people.
He's had that promise to his mother since he was five.
He's always been one who wants to protect those close to him.
His entire life he's been seen as a devil due to his powers.
He was always blamed for killing his mother and brother.
In reality it was never him.
For most of his life, before he knew ShĹ was alive, Shinra had been alone.
Then he joined Fire Company 8.
Leading him to meet many new friends in his brigade... Including you.
I feel when it comes to his obsession, he'd want to be a hero but accidentally seem like a devil in the process.
He doesn't want you scared of him... but he can be ruthless with that power of his.
He only wants to use his power for good.
He's also, surprisingly, one to prioritize the mission over his own personal emotions.
Despite that I feel he'd slip up when it comes to you, the one he loves like he would love family.
An important thing to know about Shinra is the fact he's a destructive force.
He always has been with his Ignition Ability... along with whatever happens later in the manga.
He's always been someone who has treasured family.
He used to have a strong connection to his mother and brother when he was young.
So of course I'd see him be overly obsessive and protective towards someone he feels a similar way towards.
When Shinra met you in his Brigade he couldn't help but feel a connection.
You always wanted to help and never saw him as some destructive devil.
You admired his goal to be a hero... You supported him.
Even as Shinra got stronger... He always kept you in mind.
I never finished the manga, but from what I've seen I can tell Shinra's are stronger than everyone else... and just keeps getting stronger.
Apparently Shinra soon becomes stronger than a God near the end of the manga...
Having him as any type of yandere would be terrifying.
Even before he reaches that point, he's incredibly fast and strong.
He's already a powerhouse before his story concludes.
While he always tells you he just wants to protect you, to be your hero...
He could easily eviscerate anyone he wanted if he tried hard enough.
It's... actually scary to think about?
You're clueless and just see Shinra as your best friend, taking down Infernals and helping the populace be less scared of the flames.
All while Shinra is capable of world ending power that he just hasn't unlocked yet.
It's a... subtle danger.
I can see Shinra acting overly protective of you due to him seeing you as his found family.
He acts like a brother to you, always insistent he trains with you and always looking out for you....
With you he smiles genuinely.
He hasn't felt this happy in a long time.
I can see Shinra as a sacrificing yandere.
He'd do anything to see you happy and safe.
He lives for your smile.
Shinra has taken down many strong Infernals in his career.
I can see him taking blows for you to the point he comes out of the battle injured.
He acts like your shield, a destructive force willing to protect the one person her cherishes the most.
You could scold him all you want as he gets patched up...
Even your upset face is proof you're alive and still with him.
Shinra is obviously scared of loss.
He's scared one day the flames will steal you away from him like they did his family.
Honestly if that ever happened, he wouldn't cope.
He may actually snap if his Brigade doesn't get him under control.
He usually doesn't let his emotions drive his decisions.
Yet with you it's difficult.
He often has nightmares of you being made Infernal or another Infernal taking you out.
That fear always settles in the back of his mind like an annoying tick.
That fear is what makes him cling and hover around you, never wanting to look away for even a moment.
Shinra, platonic or romantic, is a force that only seems to be controlled by you at times.
When others ask how he feels about you, thinking his feelings must be something more than a friend, he answers the same thing every time...
"To they're family."
It's innocent enough...
But as his obsession continues, many begin to see how he fights as... devilish.
He has a noble goal, to protect you and all he loves.
Yet there's times he's more cruel than he should be.
There's times he gets too into it... gets too destructive...
It scares you when you realize how much power he has.
You don't doubt Shinra would do anything for you.
He's brave, confident, selfless...
Yet also impulsive, sometimes pushy and demanding....
Shinra is at his calmest when you two are at the Company 8 Cathedral.
He likes to sit by you during work or silently watch the stars with you.
He's admitted to you that he's glad you're beside him... that he sees you as a new family... that he'll do anything to see you safe.
Perhaps even kill, as he soon proves to you during battles against human forces.
Shinra seems fine to be around until he decides some humans need to be dealt with to keep you safe.
Shinra, as I said before, may slip and allow his paranoia to get to him.
He becomes obsessed with being your hero... your friend... maybe even someone you see like a brother...
So much so that he snaps.
At first he's just more clingy or argues with other members too often.
It's nothing big... you try to correct him since you care for him...
But you notice he's off the deep end when he kills someone in front of you.
Your life was threatened by a White-Clad.
You were going to handle it on your own... You had to...
Then Shinra shows up out of nowhere, Adolla Burst spitting flickering flames...
Only for you to see the White-Clad dead on the ground, a hole in their chest, and blood coating Shinra's leg.
When Shinra turns with a nervous grin...
He really does look like a devil, the thought striking fear in your heart as the fact he killed someone settles in.
You try to avoid Shinra after that, but of course he doesn't let you.
He loves you too much to just allow you to leave him.
He knows it's scary to see him do that...
But he does it because he's protecting you.
It isn't long after that Shinra begins to isolate you.
He wants you to rely on him... to see him as family like he does with you...
He isn't going to hesitate harming others if it means you're safe...
You can tell something in him snapped.
He probably snapped after fighting ShĹ the first time....
Shinra, after killing to protect you and fighting ShĹ in the Netherworld, isn't the same after that.
Fear drives him and suddenly his actions aren't heroic...
You can no longer see his smile in a positive light... because it's the same smile he makes before killing someone else...
To you he's become a devil, a powerful being unable to be controlled, and you can no longer believe his words when he says he'll protect you...
You hate that his only justification is your safety... He's only a monster to you... Perhaps he never was family.

My analysis/view on SatoSugu â
Some disclaimers: I am a fanfic author and I do personally ship the two yet I will try to keep my thoughts as objective as possible for the sake of this post. I will include my perosnal points of view as well but 'll keep them separated from the "canon facts." Contains manga spoilers.
Are they gay?
This is a funny question yet it's the best way to start in my opinion. Short answer: they don't fit inside a label. I think the best word to describe their bond is intimate. Emotionally, it's at a place in the middle of love and appreciation and I don't think this balance is constant, sometimes it might have leaned more to one side, sometimes more to another. From an emotional point of view, they could very well be in a platonic situation.
The physical aspect is not a detrimental side for either of them in regards to one another. What makes their connection so special is the fact that it happened before Gojo Satoru became officially the strongest, before he was burdened with so many things. However, he was never free. The beginning of his very existence caused a deep disturbance within the Jujutsu world. For Satoru there was never a childhood, there was never a normal life, only a path of emptiness.
Gege is good at making his characters. Especially the villains/ good guys parallels. Just how Yuji came to the realization that he is Mahito and Mahito is him, the same parallel is drawn between Gojo and Sukuna, only Sukuna is what Gojo would've been without Geto. Both the strongest sorcerers, the difference is that Satoru got surrounded by love and his mentality evolved from "the weak ones are pathetic, I don't want to look after them" to "I will push everybody up along with me through teaching and have pupils even stronger than me, allies."
Back in highschool, Gojo was young and somewhat arrogant. His power was like a blanket for him; despite not understanding Geto's philosophical things and not agreeing with them, Gojo also, unintentionally, gave a meaning to the things happening to him "I am the strongest."
Even in the current ongoing fight (Sukuna vs Goatjo), the panels sometimes speak about love, but not in the way we would normally think; it's about the feelings of the strongest, different from the perception of average folks like us. Nurture vs Destruction.
Gojo had the power of being evil without any repercussions. Being the strongest, nothing could hurt him. He always showed his compassion towards Riko through small gestures, such as staying more at the beach, teasing her etc. Him wanting to go on a killing rampage under the pretext of 'not feeling anything' was Gojo's way of showing his disgust at the fact that hundreds of people were celebrating the death of an innocent girl. Being the strongest didn't matter. She was dead. His conviction shattered. However, he had so much trust in Geto's morality and mentality that he followed his advice. That is the kind of person he was for him. Even in Jjk 0, Suguru said that he didn't think Satoru would have any trust left for himâ he did.
The only one who could understand him, speak with him, treat him like a human. His one and only. Gojo liked the fact that they were the strongest together because he also had someone to lean on.
In the manga, Naoya, the head of a powerful branch of the Zen'in clan talks about Toji. He said that as a child, he expected him to be a miserable man since he had 0 cursed energy yet when he saw how powerful and proud he was he got scared of him. He mentions that the only one being able to understand Toji was Gojo.
Only... Gojo is stronger. Toji couldn't understand him, he called him a monster. He got drowned in petty feelings characteristic to what Sukuna would call weakness and got himself killed.
Gege also mentioned in an interview that he wanted to give his characters abilities similar to Bankai (Gege legit started making manga because of Bleach, what a God) Bankai is a reflection of the soul in Bleach projected onto the swords of the Shinigami. Same with Domain Expansions in JJK. Gojo's literally repels everybody around him, it's called Infinite Void and it shows the way in which he looks at the world and views himself. Untouchable. Out of reach. An overflow of information.
Even if Bleach is a pretty stereotypical Shonen creation (don't get me wrong, I love it but the plot is pretty basic) when the protag. Ichigo was fighting against the main big powerful villain, Aizen, he said that he could feel Aizen's sword wavering with loneliness. This very concept applies to the powerful peaks of Jujutsu Kaisen. The path of power is lonely. Kenjaku himself said that Gojo is truly in his element when he is fighting on his own, the ones around him can become a liability really quickly. This of course, when it's about fights where he has to put in some efforts. That's why nobody is interfering with his Sukuna duel.
Satoru started being truly alone after Suguru left.
Another waver of his conviction. But this time, not only about not being strong enough. He didn't do enough. Ever since Gojo unlocked his techniques and became powerful, he wasn't allowed to be human anymore. He had to do mission after mission, take over the missions unfinished by others, he was expected to do everything and be the saviour of the Jujutsu World. With Suguru, he was human. Yet, just as Suguru said 'it was a busy summer'. No more space for one another.
Geto was also strong. A special grade. He too became lonely.
For Sugru, having a meaning was fundamental. His cursed technique was a constant reminder of how awful non-sorceres are. He would eat their malice, who tasted like a cloth wiped in puke and shit and whereas he understood Satoru, nobody understood him. He himself said that nobody has any idea just how bad curses taste.
When Itadori was eating Sukuna's fingers in the beginning, he would choke, cough complain a lot. Geto had over 2000 curses. He had exorcised and ingested again and again and again. The only humanity around him was Satoru, his best friend. And that got taken away by the Jujutsu world and he remained alone with his own despair. He went on his own path, feeling useless and misunderstood, still viewing Satoru as a friend but also as a term of comparison. He got left without meaning and so he forged himself a new one. He became really similar to Sukuna, with no regard for the ones beneath him, the monkeys. But also, ironically enough, Suguru stopped being the strongest. He viewed himself as weak. He doomed himself. He wanted to feel necessaryâ he was desperate. He thought he was saving the Jujutsu world.
They were probably meant for tragedy. And that's the sad part. Satoru would've outgrown him regardless but maybe Suguru wouldn't have chosen such a radical path. Toji's existence, an anomaly, broke the flow of their fate. (approx quote from manga) That's why he is more relevant to the story than people believe. Sure, he is sexy as fuck but Toji is literally the beginning and the end of an era, he is everything.
Gojo's second waver pushed him to become a teacher. He had grown and chose a smart path, preserving the youths, the future; no more mass murder. Suguru remained stagnant with his hatred and eventually died. For him, I'd say his life stoped the moment Riko died. His potential as a sorcerer came to a plateau. Everything came to an end so it was only a matter of time before his body died as well.
Back on Gojo's humanity. The funny thing is that this point was proven by the readers of the manga themselves, lol. When Satoru got sealed, he got shat on hardcore. Like, you can't imagine. Reddit and Discord servers were eating his ass up worse than they do now with Sukuna for using Mahoraga. Gojo got blamed for Nanami and Kugisaki (rip my angels, still praying for Nobara), he got blamed for Sukuna taking over Megumi and probably he blames himself tooâ what "mistake" did he make? Showing humanity when being met with the corpse of his best friend, his only catalyst, his only balance, the only one to ever make him feel normal and give him his Blue Spring, the most beautiful moments of his life. And Kenjaku knew that Suguru's corpse was the only thing to make Satoru waver. In the manga it's clearly stated that despite more than one minute having passed in his mind, physically he stood still for 6 seconds. Even his most regretfull, sorrowful crisis lasted him an inhumane amount of time.
And Gojo too, was the only thing that caused the remaints of Suguru's soul to attempt strangling Kenjaku. (which he admits has never happened before. and suguru is deadâ gojo literally triggered the residues of his soul). That's what I mean by intimate.
Even if the concept of soul is often spoken about, their souls are connected. That's how much they mean for eachother.
Perosnally I find this relationship to be perfectly beautiful as it is, without any flaunt of erotica needed, kudos to Gege. I still enjoy writing angst and smut based on their dynamic tho XD. And I don't agree with the ones calling them straight and being so eager to deny them or resume this deep connection to just friends. Like sure, they are not gay-gay but they are... linked. More than friends, more than family. Gege themself said so when speaking about them. I think it's a very clear statement.
If you like the way I think and view characters, check my fics, lol. Much love <33 exstasyplague on A03.

Yay! For Valeria...
Does Valeria have a "redemption" moment in her story?
Is there a canon character that she needs to forgive (and does she even want to)?
Which canon character does Valeria not respect at all? Who does she respect most?
Has Valeria had to let a canon character down easy? (Feel free to answer for a romantic or platonic context)
So the first question was the one I feared the most so of course it has to be first asked ^^'
I also thought about it for the better part of today, formed elaborate answers and now that I sit down I'm drawing a blank.
Does Valeria have a "redemption" moment in her story?
Starting from the beginning; I was wondering what "redemption" would actually mean in the context of her story and I do not think this applies to her - either she really does not have much to redeem for, or, rather the One Thing is something way past the event horizon for her to do anything about it (in her opinion).
As such, I'd approach this question slightly differently - not redemption but rather healing and closure.
Val is quite the damaged individual and most of her problems stem from the fact that she does not understand that. So her milestones would be to understand that she was abused as a child, even if the physical aspects have been delivered by servants - it was still on her Mother's orders (also, her Mother did hit her. Once. A slap to the face when she delivered the news on her engagement and did not appreciate Val's reaction - which was the only time she tried to stand up for herself before running away).
Her father might not have been abusive - and why he left will be addressed later in her story - but he still started neglecting it due to A Cause. And, being her primary (if not only) window to the outside world, him leaving in her formative years caused the same (if not bigger) damage than her Mother's mental abuse, the reason being that she never had real connection to her Mother but father was her whole world.
So, for one: recognizing that her parents fucked her up, to put it colloquially. This is her first step towards healing.
The second, though not necessary to achieve others (but very appreciated) is to understand that there are people who care for her. Who do not see her as a burden, a monster, something to be ashamed for. She need to understand that there are people that do love her and see her as family. And that they will be there for her, even if their futures will not be heavily intertwined, she has made friends along the way and they won't simply disappear. She needs to understand that she won't be alone unless by her own doing.
Third step is to actually confront her parents (with or without her friends, doing this alone or in company would make her feel stronger and more confident in different ways. She would prefer to do it alone to show that she is strong - in her current mindset. But in the long run, having support would make her "better"). She can start healing without this, as long as she understands she is not the villain of this story so she does not technically need to do this, but at the same time she does. Because as long as she's on the run, as long as she's still this little, scared lonely child, she will never be fully herself - she'll never be Val, only Valeria Tremaine, the runaway daughter. And thus, she will always feel like a fraud. So she needs to do this, unafraid and head held high. After saving the Swords Coast she became a hero - but how she can feel like one when she's still afraid of the Fists catching her and bringing her home? Confronting her parents, telling screaming their faults in their faces, telling them to fuck off to leave her alone. Anything is better than this life. And if words won't work? She can to threats, Hells all of their companions can do threats (I think Minsc's will be the scariest due to sheer unhingeness).
Four step is to have closure and let go.
She does not speak a lot about Ran and shows only a glimpses of him. He was... unhinged. Never took life seriously. Flirted with everyone than spoke Common. Usually to get out of trouble and more often it caused them to get into even bigger trouble.
He was a sorcerer like her, wild magic one as well. He taught her not to be afraid of the gift, to work with the Weave rather than control it.
They returned to Calimport, all four of them. Got separated in the trade district, with Moira and Annun going on "a job" they needed Ran's pet weasel for (smart little thing, trained to be the best pickpocket). Ran and Val were meant to spend the day without getting into trouble, maybe snatching some heavier purses but otherwise just waiting for the other two.
They did not expect a group of Flaming Fists - hired by her parents - to find them. A bunch of men, angry, tired and sweat in the Calishite sun, they did not want to talk or play nicely and they just attacked.
And Ran. He got hurt, his magic flowing to protect her, leaving him exposed. Causing her to panic, cast a fire spell but her focus was all on him, her friend, her brother falling to his knees as so her grip on the Weave slipped, the wild magic surged.
She remembers an explosion, scented oils burning and the smoke dark and clogging her lungs. She remembers trying to crawl to Ran as the mercenaries screamed at their own burning flesh, the other tiefling's arm and hair catching fire - how his hair seemed to be the very same colour.
Then another explosion. Her waking up in an infirmary, no Ran no Moira or Annun, only half burned bodies and dying men.
She ran.
She ran and she did not look back and she has been running for months before the nautiloid caught her.
She has not grieved, nor said goodbye. There was no time. But some part of her does not want to let go. Does not want to grieve in fear she will stop blaming herself for what she has caused.
Is there a canon character that she needs to forgive (and does she even want to)?
They have a very strained relationship with Shadowheart. Even if (or maybe because) Val is not a devout worshipper in her own god, Shadowheart's fanatical trust in Shar was scaring her and her usual response to fear is aggression. It does not help that in their own conflict with Lae'zel, Val sided with the githyanki - not to say the other woman's blind devotion in her own object of worship was a better choice. But Vlaakith, still not ascended to godhood, felt like something easier to "fight" with - especially since the creche happened before Shadow Cursed Lands so Lae'zel started breaking away earlier while there was something about Shadowheart that made Valeria feel as if the cleric would turn on them up to the moment where they saved her parents.
It didn't help that Shadowheart was pretty vocal about her disapproving of Val using the tadpoles' powers, even if it gave them the upper hand in battle and no one else was being forced into doing the same. But what made it worse was that (maybe because of the Curse, the stress, the Cult of the Absolute, the vision of their doom, the wounds still healing after the creche) they got into a fight and Shadowheart let it slip that one word, that one hateful word Mother always called her.
Monster.
Because, in the cleric's eyes, embracing the illithid potential meant that Val was on the road to becoming one of them. That she already ditched her humanity. That she indeed was already a monster.
Or maybe not. Maybe this is what Val's own mind supplemented her with. And maybe Shadowheart felt terrified and guilty the moment she let that word slip but she did not apologize (and it's difficult to say whether that would make the situation better or worse).
But then she turned her back to Shar and freed Aylin and everybody was oh so worried about poor Shadowheart, even Lae'zel. And it... hurt, made her feel jealous and then made her feel horrible for even being jealous (even if the voices reminded her, that no one cared about her well-being, no one cooed of how she felt when being called a monster. The voices made her feel like they all really hated her and what she took for camaraderie was pity at best).
And yet, the story went further, with Shadowheart approaching her trying to talk (to apologize?) but the githyanki attacked and they learned of the Guardian's true nature and it was like a stab to her heart and gut at once because she felt betrayed but that she also was betraying her companions - and that they now surely took her for a foolish child to fall for such a trap. This all resulted in her mind fracturing more, wishing to just curl somewhere, hide and sleep and never wake up. But the world was not stopping and as their enemies grew in power it was quickly becoming apparent that she was needed. So she gritted her teeth and got back to work.
And then House of Grief happened.
They freed Shadowheart's parents. Of course they did, the pain in her hand would be nothing when compared to losing her loved ones moments after being reunited. But it hurt.
It hurt to see them, to listen to them, to watch them embrace and forgive Shadowheart for all the torture she put them through and simply because she was their child and they loved her.
Because why couldn't her parents show her a fraction of that love?
There are other things, flashes of memories and glimpses of thoughts. Too many secrets and not enough words spoken.
And Shadowheart changed and she does want to make amends but Val? She's not there yet. She might be, one day. But not now - now they have more on their plate; saving Ravengard, killing Gortash and Orin.
Simple things.
Which canon character does Valeria not respect at all? Who does she respect most?
Wulbren F. Bongle
The F stands for Fucking

She couldn't care less about the Gondians vs Ironhands problem (at thirst, once we get into terrorism and killing innocents she will be throwing hands and fireballs) but the way this motherfucker treated Barcus made her blood boil.
Sure, there is the usual lack of respect for bastards like Gortash or psychos like Orin, but the sheer mundanity of someone like Wulbren is such a real and horrible thing.
As for most respect? Jaheira. Hands down. Both as a leader and surprisingly as a mother - because while she might not have been the most loving or caring (in the typical fashion) mother there is, you could tell how important her kids where to her. The first time he met them, listened Jahiera talk and make amends with her daughter she did have to walk out, hide somewhere, her knees shaking and her stomach rumbling from the stress she felt.
Has Valeria had to let a canon character down easy? (Feel free to answer for a romantic or platonic context)
Surprisingly enough - Astarion. He approached her during the tiefling party and she - somehow - stumbled her way into him proposing her pure carnal pleasure with no strings attached.*
Did she let him down easy? Yes. Did she stumble through the whole conversation, blushing and terrified and where-theheck-is-your-18-Charisma-girl? Also yes.
He is good looking yes, but he was also a bastard back then and as foolishly romantic as it may be - she wanted her first time to be with someone that cared for her as she did for him. She wasn't interested in just a tumble. And honestly, it's better that way as they make for better friends than lovers (and bicker like siblings) even though there seems to be some jealousy on Astarion's part but it's hard to say if it's genuine or just his bruised ego not being able to let go.
Then Lae'zel proposed too and Val was so confused she was just able to utter a simple "No, thank you." and that was that.
For the platonic - turning down Jaheira's offer to join the Harpers, as she already set her sights on a different organization.
