jayce is personally running buzzfeed unsolved. just him, no odd couple back and forth debates, just one wolf inside of jayce that DESPERATELY wants to believe magic and ghosts are real, and the other wolf inside of him that follows the scientific method and always manages to disprove the supernatural cases he investigates, much to his own sadness and disappointment, every single time.

i have seen a lot of posts about lucanis & illario lately, that specifically call out that some of the things Lucanis says about him are kinda mean. usually in context of 'yes what illario did was fucked up but they BOTH went thru the fucked up training and lucanis says shit to him too' etc etc. and i'll be honest as someone who does have a contentious/estranged/very-low-contact sibling relationship. everything lucanis said came off as super mild to me and they should both be WAY nastier to each other actually. yes even when you include their dynamic in wigmaker job which was both more lighthearted And heartfelt. but like if you want realism they should be going from that to 1 minute later annoyed enough to break out the super cutting remarks dragging up the worst things the other has ever done/said, specifically becuause they know it will hurt the other most. then i would believe it more tbh.

if yord had lived he'd be leading the hunt for qimir and osha and we would've gotten the most delicious tension between him and qimir. qimir would start out frustrated that yord got away, intent on finishing what he started. and yord, once hunted, now hunter, once an exemplary jedi, and now solely focused on revenge disguised as righteous justice (which it is also a bit of that). and qimir starts to enjoy the game, the chase. and in this timeline, sol still dies, osha still goes with qimir, but yord was unconscious, recovering in a bacta tank, so all he knows when he wakes up is that qimir is out there and took osha, his friend, away. so then you also have the tension of that confrontation, the realization that osha has willingly turned, and that maybe yord can't blame her for that, because what has he been doing these past many months, years, maybe, but give in to the selfish desire to finish what he started too?

I’m rereading The Outsiders and I got stuck on this line about Darry:

“He doesn’t understand anything that is not plain hard fact. But he uses his head.”

Paired with this line about Soda:

“But then, Soda is different from anybody, he understands everything, almost.”

And I find it so funny that while Soda seems to think he's the "dumb one" of the family (the high school dropout, can never sit still for too long, hates reading something fierce) as far as Pony is concerned, Soda knows everything. Has the answers to all of life's questions, can read Pony like a book. Can even make Darry smile when everyone else is too scared to crack a joke around the older boy.

To Pony, Soda is a genius in every way that counts.

What's more interesting is when you compare it to what Pony thinks about Darry, who on the surface, is the brightest Curtis brother. He could have gone to college, had the good grades, was the sports star, the “almost Soc,” everything in life was within his grasp. He even "uses his head."

And yet, he doesn't get Pony. And you know what? Pony doesn't get him either. And even if he did, none of that school stuff matters to a fourteen year old who's just lost his parents. He wants someone to understand him, and Darry doesn't seem to as far as Pony is concerned.

All that matters to Pony is that Soda can make him laugh when tears are threatening to fall, that he smiles so bright and so loud that Pony can't help but smile right along with him.

All that matters is that the closest Pony ever comes to feeling understood is when he's with Soda, the safest he ever feels is when he wakes up at night from a nightmare and feel's the heat from his brother pressed beside him.

All that matters is that Pony can feel Soda trying, can feel his brother's love in every breath.

Soda may think he's dumb, but Pony sees him for so much more, and there's something so lovely and so human about that.

(i drew inspiration specifically from the ui of his Hunter's Fury [since that uses his eyes instead of his drone], mainly focusing on the circle in the middle of the screen because the rest is a timer and a shit ton of lightning LMAO)

the result of that is the version below! plus some blue'ing that i did to clue it in more than just having the crosshair. i tried it without the red overlay and was originally going to keep this version, but then i realized i actually kinda did prefer the brighter one, so yeah. anyways.

So the dynamics would be: STR!Seb x Aston!Fernando and Post-Retirement!Seb x Ferarri!Fernando(~2011-2012)

The former would be a Seb who is very hungry for Fernando's attention, but now he's with a Fernando is actually now very willing to give him that attention. Fernando is constantly repeating in his head: "Don't fuck the twink don't fuck the twink don't fuck the twink", but every time they end up on the podium together, Seb always ends up being all over him and "accidentally" groping him. So Seb is still a brat but is with a Fernando who's not gonna just be cold to him but will indulge him instead 🤭

The latter is more angsty AAAHHH!! Cause its a Fernando who is in Ferrari hell and Seb who is post-catharsis. And to quote C, Fernando is like "why are you so happy??? Did you win!?" and Seb responds: "no :)" But also I am not immune to Seb being coy and playing with Fernando. He now understands why Fernando was the way he was back then because he's now gone through the same thing with Ferrari, but also wants him to stop being so gloomy and angsty about it.

Don't ask about how these AUs work, just know that they have knowledge of what their original counterparts were like so it's weird for the younger versions to get to see what ends up happening to the other, and then allows the olders to gain a new perspective instead of their biased memories(i.e.: "you're not who I was villainizing you as in my head" = both of them realize that they were building the other up as such an antagonist in their head but then, oh, he's just like me fr)(but for younger Seb, Fernando realizes Seb just wanted to be friends :( and so now he's trying to be more of a mentor.)

okay, now i can complain about reddit because they're getting on my nerves lol ever since PA's lawyer's new motion they've been insufferable, they're acting like they're getting their "ha-ha gatcha" moment but they're so dumb omfg i'm gonna preface this by saying that i'm not 100% sure of luigi's innocence, because there are a lot of coincidences and there's a lot of explaining on his side to do. i'm not 100% sure of his guilt either, first of all because we owe it to him as it's his right (lol) and because most of the evidence they've shown so far is incosistent and sketchy and they've broken the law multiple times in order to gather evidence. but for some reason, reddit's detectives and lawyers have decided that his PA lawyer's motion proves he did it. i don't even want to go read their discussions all over again because they get so much on my nerves, this morning when i read their comments and i saw that they had started their theories without even taking into considerations all the possibilities. they're like: no, he's guilty and that's the end of it!! yes, there is a chance they're trying to get most of the evidence thrown out because he's guilty. but there is also a chance they're trying to get evidence thrown out because he's not guilty. they started saying that dickey trying to get the notebook thrown out proves luigi did write the manifesto. in his motion dickey doesn't talk about a "manifesto", on the contrary he has said that the PD has labeled luigi's personal writings as "manifesto" improperly and without justification. totally the opposite. and then about the dna that they got through offering luigi drinks and food at the police station, they said them trying to get that thrown away proves the dna comparison is positive and proves his guilt. i believe this could also be another way to highlight the police's unlawful actions. we must remember that they're trying so hard to push the narrative of him being guilty to the point where there's a high chance they planted evidence. his lawyers may be trying to get rid of everything they can, because they could be worried all of those things can be twisted and used to make luigi guilty when he's not. if they're so sure they got the right guy, why get his dna through tricks and not proper procedure? what did they do with the things he used to drink or eat? like, hello, are we not noticing something's fishy or are we just playing cops trying to point a finger to someone even though you support his alleged actions and want to see him walk free? it's like they're annoyed by people who believe there's a high chance he actually didn't do it, so they're trying to get their "i've been saying this from the start hehehehehe i'm so smart and you're so dumb!!1!" it's like they're forgetting that whether you think he did it or not, we should want him free and should fight to make sure he gets a FAIR TRIAL!!! and the prosecution and the police are making sure he won't get that!!! honestly i agree with everything you said and i was very much shocked when i saw that the police had given him drinks and taken his DNA from there, my first thought was that MUST be illegal right??!! but of course not, apparently it's a "common" practice by law enforcement in the us, so much so that the commoners there don't even flinch at the thought of somebody's rights being violated this way

and something that completely astounds me about the reddit opinions is how they never want to acknowledge that media and the government are trying to shape public perception and make him look guilty even before the trial starts and they just ignore that they're a part of the public and theirs is the perception the government is trying to sway in their favour and as a part of the public they're also helping shape other public's perception and that by doing all that they're doing (including armchair diagnosing him and psychoanalysing him to the ends of the earth) him the injustice of taking away his right to a fair trial

The way Nesta’s stans have been trying to defend her at every turn for years and she still gets insulted by not being credited for one of the biggest moments in ACOWAR by the publisher. The mad disrespect. The audacity to keep failing us the fans and cave to spam comments.

Talk about an actual hated female character. Her accomplishments and story is always being undermined because she isn’t this perky, uber feminine character. That scene is ACOWAR was pivotal for her character and was symbolic of the promise she made in Hybern back in ACOMAF. The wording on the bracket really does seem like copy and paste, so it truthfully would not surprise me if Bloomsbury did not even fact check the submissions.

People continuously sideline Nesta and steal her backstory, current and future plot arcs, and accomplishments and credit other characters. I joined this fandom for Nesta, not ships, and I place her above anything—she is beyond meaningful to me and she is my favorite character for a reason.

This ship war has made people blind to how ridiculous they are and it makes the general fandom and casual readers suffer because of it. Imagine not being aware of what’s happening, you see the bracket, and genuinely are confused because those are the most memorable moments from the entire series? A lack of mention of UTM, really nothing about Nesta in ACOSF, Rhys misting the battlefield, Papa Archeron coming with the ships, really no Nessian, Feyre with the lesser fae that lost his wings, Feyre during the Tithe, etc. If I was Sarah, I’d be insulted.

Bloomsbury is more than aware of the ship war and encourage this behavior for likes, shares, and other forms of engagement. They believe that this will sell the next ACOTAR book, but all it’s doing is driving people out of the space and, in turn, driving people from wanting to read the next book.
