Chaos Lineage Kanato Labyrinth Ending Translation
Tumblr media
Place : Church – Hall
Tumblr media
Kanato : I've always been troubled... But I finally found the answer.
Those guys outside are all aiming at you.
Yui : Eh... ?
Kanato : Our safety is everything that matters, after all.
– That is the answer I found.
Yui : … Kanato... kun ?
(He's acting strange... As if there's no light in his eyes...)
Kanato : Hehe, speaking of which, if we're the remaining ones, we may be able to return home, right ?
Then, I should do this--
Yui : – ! Don't do that !! Please, reconsider !
Tumblr media
Kanato : There's no need to worry, because I'll end everything--
Yui : Don't...
Kanato : Please be quiet... *sucks blood
Yui : … ! … N-No...
Kanato : *sucks blood
Yui : (He's sucking too much blood, I can't keep my consciousness any longer...)
*Yui loses consciousness
Yui : …
Tumblr media
Kanato : You already passed out ? But don't worry, I won't drop you.
It's still not enough for me at all, though. Please give me more blood... more... *sucks blood
Haa... Hehe, it's also nice to suck your blood when you're powerless.
You're like a doll that can't say anything. Hehehehehe, how cute.
Scene change : Dungeon
Ruki : Uguh !
Shin : Gaah... !
Tumblr media
Carla : I will ask once again : Where is Eve located ? I won't allow any secrecy.
Ruki : … You don't seem to understand the saying “You can't give what you don't have”. We told you that we don't know...
Shin : And even if we do... we ain't gonna tell you.
Carla : Hmph.
*Carla whips Ruki and Shin
Ruki : Ugh... !
Shin : … Uh... !
*they both fall
Carla : So they fainted without saying anything... They are totally useless.
Tumblr media
Subaru : Hey, Azusa is back from scouting. Apparently, Eve is in the church.
Carla : The church ?
Subaru : Yeah, plus Reiji and the others are already attacking the church.
Carla : So they beat us to the punch...
Then we have no time to lose. We'll head to the church as well. Gather everyone.
Scene change : Church – Hall
Tumblr media
Ayato : Guh...
Laito : … Guuuh...
*Ayato and Laito fall
Tumblr media
Reiji : We finally defeated them. How foolish of them to defy us at only two against four.
Yuma : Aaah... But I also... Shit...
*Yuma falls
Shu : Yuma... !
Kino : For those guys to mainly focus Yuma... how ridiculous.
Reiji : Kino, Shu. You seem to be both injured as well, are you alright ?
Shu : I should say the same to you. But those wounds aren't a big deal.
Reiji : I see. Then we must make haste. We wasted a lot of time because of those two.
If we don't find Eve right away, the Violets will find out about this place.
Tumblr media
Carla : You are correct.
Reiji : Carla... and your brothers seem to be here as well.
Carla : It seems that you got rid of those two annoyances. I shall thank you for this.
However, only one person can get Eve.
Allow me to show you which one of us deserves the supreme ruler's throne.
Reiji : What a joke. The one who remained a spectactor is going to steal all the good parts ? Is such a lazy person what you call a supreme ruler ?
Please don't make me laught. You lack the abilities to take on this responsibility.
Carla : Are you going to oppose me ?
Very well. Then I will make you surrender to me !
*They begin fighting and blood is splatteting. Then some time passes...
Tumblr media
Yui : (… Hm...?)
(I... fainted... I wonder how much time passed since then...)
(The church was surrounded, then Kanato-kun sucked my blood--)
(… Eh ? What's that sound...?)
Where's... Kanato-kun ?
Tumblr media
Kanato : Oh, you woke up... Hehe.
Yui : (Thank godness, he's here...!)
(… Eh !?)
K-Kanato-kun ! Your clothes are bloody !
Are you maybe injured ? We have to treat your wounds quick !
Kanato : There's no need to panic. I don't have any injuries...
Yui : But all this blood...
Kanato : Hehe, that's right... My clothes got dirty with blood. I have to wash them right away.
But please wait a little... because there's one last thing I need to handle.
*Kanato stabs something and blood splatters
Yui : Eh ?
(Kanato-kun, what are you doing ? What on earth do you mean by handle--?)
Tumblr media
Kanato : Aaah, almost there...
Yui : (That's... That's... !!)
Kanato-kun, what... are you doing... ? This is...
Kanato : They destroyed each other, so it was easy for me to finish them off thanks to that.
Hey, please look... We're the only ones left. This room is very well cleaned.
With this, I'm the only one remaining.
Yui : (No, no.... no no no no no no-- !)
Kanato : Since I'm the only one left, I'll surely be back home. Aaah, with this, I can live back at home with you.
Yui : Wh... Why... ?
Kanato : I told you, didn't I ? As long as you're here, I don't need anything else.
Now, please come into my arms. Let me hug your body filled with living blood...
*Kanato hugs her
Tumblr media
Yui : … !
(Kanato-kun's covered in blood...)
(It's still warm... Is this the blood of all the others... Did he...?)
(… It can't be... This is a lie...!)
~ LABYRINTH END ~
Tumblr media
Kanato : How strange, we aren't back home yet... Aah, maybe they aren't all dead yet ?
Then, one more time--
*Kanato stabs the others
Yui : Hiii... ! Stop, stop it, Kanato-kun ! Don't do that !
Kanato : Why ? If we're not home yet, that means I haven't stabbed them enough, right ?
Besides, they might resuscitate. So in order to make sure they won't ever get in my way--
They should all be gone ! Disappear, disappear, disappear, disappear !
Ahaha... HAHAHAHAHA !
Yui : (No... No...)
NOOOOOOOOOOO !
*Yui passes out
Tumblr media
Kanato : Huh ? Yui-san ?
Why are you sleeping ? Aaah, you must be feeling weak.
Come on, please take my hand. I'll help you get up... Hey, please reply.
Yui : …
Kanato : Your eyes are open but you can't move. Could it be you broke ?
Yui : …
Kanato : Hey, Yui-san, are you unable to speak ?
Yui : …
Kanato : I see. So you're broken, as I thought. But it doesn't matter to me at all.
By the way, why can't I go back to where I belong when I'm the only survivor here ?
Oh well. As long as you're here, everything else doesn't matter.
*Kanato gets closer
Tumblr media
Kanato : It doesn't seem like you can move, so I'll help you sit down.
Look, doesn't it look like a date when we sit side by side ?
Yui : …
Kanato : Yui-san, you're not replying at all, as if you're sulking.
Yui : …
Kanato : But you're also cute when you're sulking like a child.
*Kanata strokes her hair
Kanato : Aaah, you have very beautiful hair. It makes me want to stroke them all the time.
Yui : …
*Kanato hugs her
Tumblr media
Kanato : When I hug you, I feel warm.
It's fine if you don't talk. I can just keep hugging you like this, forever...
Because I'm not alone.
Yui : …
Kanato : This world is only for the two of us. So...
… we can live happily ever after, with no one to bother us--
My dream finally came true. I'm so happy... You're happy too, right ?
Yui : …
Kanato : Hehe... Hehehehehe.
Scene change : Secret room – Interior lights
Tumblr media
Socrates : I can't believe it ended this way...
It seems like I overestimated Adam a little. He was still immature.
No... It would be more correct to say that his madness has intensified.
Tumblr media
Karl Heinz : My friend... Don't tell me you tested Adam by using this kind of way...
Socrates : My apologies. But there was something I absolutely wanted to verify.
Once Adam and Eve are chosen, you will give your powers to Adam and disappear.
However, I've been skeptical...
… about whether that Adam was truly worth the irreversible loss of my friend or not...
That's why I prepared this experiment space to verify it with my own eyes.
Karl Heinz : But in this state...
Socrates : Yes, I made a mistake. And I apologize for that...
Karl Heinz : No, I don't mind it. This is also a part of fate.
All you need to do is start over, no matter the result.
Tumblr media
Socrates : Shall I rewind the time, then ?
Karl Heinz : Of course. So Adam will reach me this time.
Kanato, Eve... I believe we will meet next time--

Note
1: What were you're best and worst moments?
Best moments:
1. Becoming involved with the Danganronpa fandom, particularly on the subreddit. Seriously. Wouldn’t have met you or some other friends of mine today if I never posted there! Plus, it felt awesome to actually have people comment and just notice the stuff I make. Last few years have been lonely for me, so getting involved in something and getting something this worthwhile out of it was amazing, tbh.
2. Getting back into Steven Universe! I mean, yes I practically do this every year now...but this time, SU had some pretty good stuff to offer! The movie was awesome, Spinel is a fantastic and creative character, and SU:F has some damn good writing so far! Every episode is hilarious but packs good messages behind them, while showcasing Steven becoming overwhelmed by everything through his Pink form. And personally, I love the new, mature Steven a lot.
3. Infinity Train finally aired. I’ve been hyping the cartoon for years, and it did not disappoint. Tulip is one of the strongest protagonists from a cartoon I’ve seen, love her to bits. She’s not your typical happy go lucky, oblivious 12 year old MC. She’s real.  And everything else was crafted really well, the mystery, the emotional moments, the different train cars. Gahhh seriously cannot wait for Book 2!
Worst moments:
1. That one time my house had no water for like two weeks. It was awful, couldn’t take good showers so I felt really gross most of the time because our house doesn’t have good AC either, so I was sweaty…Had to use buckets of water we collected from the rain to flush the toilet. But I can only imagine how much worse it was for my dad, having to spend hours everyday digging up and fixing the well in the heat. Yeesh.
2. My dog Bugzy died. He had it coming for a while, but I was totally unprepared for it. It just happened out of nowhere, you know? And it happened while I was at school. Coming home to see his body in his bed gave me chills. The worst part is that I never got to say a proper goodbye, I’m still pissed about that. At least he gets to finally feel comfortable now in doggie heaven, or something like that…
3. My procrastination problem has gotten worse this year oops. Impacted my performance in school. Dunno if it’s a part of depression or anything but whenever I talk to my dad about it he just calls me lazy. Guh. Maybe I am? I don’t know at this point. But I hate it nonetheless.

Only Told The Moon: A Reddie Fanfiction Chapter One
Eddie Kaspbrak laid on his twin bed in his small bedroom, he had just finished his last exam before summer vacation and he was relieved. He didn’t care about his grades at this point because he knew he would pass. But he was done and that’s all that mattered, he was ready for summer. Although he didn’t care much for swimming and other summer activities he was excited to be with his friends. But he was scared as well, the overall joy of summer had been taken away when he was only eleven years old. He tried his best not to think about it but it was difficult especially when you considered what happened over that summer. But he wasn’t gonna bother himself with those memories at the moment. He was just gonna lay down and enjoy the peace and quiet of-
“Eddie!” He heard his mother call from the downstairs living room. He rolled his eyes and slowly got up knowing she’d want to know how his exam went, although he didn’t even know saying he just did it. He couldn’t complain because his mother wanted to know about his marks, it was because she cared. But he was tired and just wanted to sleep, that plans out the window. “Eddie, come and see me.”
The small boy slowly walked out of his room quietly shutting the door behind him. He walked down the stairs and into the den where his mother was sitting in her brown lazy boy. “Hi mommy,” Eddie said with a tiered smile as he sat down on the couch beside her chair “what’s up?”
“How was your exam?” She asked smiling at her son, Eddie was her prized possession. She loved him so much, possibly a little bit too much. She always cared about him and especially his health. She wanted to make sure that he never got hurt or anything like that. When Eddie was younger she put him on sugar pills to trick him into thinking he was sick in some way. Eddie had asthma, that was basically it. She’d make it seem like so much more, trying to get him a free pass in gym because of his “delicate lungs” or the sugar pills. Eddie was fast and he enjoyed running, he didn’t like sports though because they are gross. But he was fast, impressively fast. That’s why he took gym, it wasn’t a necessity for a grade 11 but it was the only time he could run. He told his mother that he needed four to pass high school when he only really needed one. But after all of that he still loved his mother, she was his mom, he couldn’t imagine hating her.
“It was fine.” Eddie responded with a perky tone as he turned his focus off of his mother and onto the window behind the tv. Someone was outside of his house, not a stranger but a friend.
Richie Tozier, Richie and Eddie had made plans to hangout over the summer with the rest of their friend group. But those plans weren’t for the day exams ended, why the hell was Richie here? Richie looked funny, not like funny how he usually looked, funny as in different. He usually dressed in oversized clothing or clothing that is far too small and his thick rimmed glasses that were huge compared to his face, not to mention his messy hair that was never combed or styled. But he somehow made the terrible look work, and what he was wearing right now wasn’t that terrible look Eddie was used to. Richie was dressed semi nicely, he had a non-Hawaiian button up shirt on that actually fit with black dress pants and what looked like washed black converse. His hair was combed a bit not really creating a difference, but it looked more tamed than usual. The look was topped off with his dorky glasses, something Richie couldn’t change easily. Eddie was kind of glad about that, he liked Richie’s glasses. But this was confusing, why was he dressed up and why was he at Eddie’s house dressed up? He got shaken out of his thoughts when he saw Richie go back to his old beaten down car and grab something, flowers? Why did Richie have flowers? Okay now this is really weird. Richie made his way up to the Kaspbrak household mumbling stuff underneath his breath until he got to the door. He took in a deep breath and prepared to knock, right before his fist hit the door he pulled it away. He shook his head and walked back into his car and drove off. Eddie was speechless, he sat on his couch with his mouth wide open.
“Eddie what’s wrong?” His concerned mother asked staring at her wide mouthed son, she had been watching what was on the tv and not what was going on outside like Eddie.
“Nothing.” Eddie said still shocked about the events that happened outside the window, he was so incredibly confused. So many thoughts were going through his brain and he had no idea how he should feel about what happened.
A few hours passed and Eddie still was confused, he hadn’t even tried to figure it out though. All he did was think about it, he thought about Richie. This wasn’t the first time Eddie has thought about Richie, they were best friends of course they thought about each other. But not in the ways Eddie did, Eddie thought about Richie as more than a friend. That’s what made this situation so much more difficult, Eddie was in love with Richie Tozier. Eddie had never admitted these feelings, he hasn’t even admitted that he likes boys. But he knew he did, he knew it for along time. Instead of admitting his feelings he shut them out, he locked them up inside and decided they were pointless.
Eddie was back in his room on his bed, staring at the ceiling. It was now 11:46 pm and Eddie was still thinking about Richie. He decided that he needed sleep but something was holding him against the idea of sleep. He tried and tried with no success. Eventually he gave up and sat on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands, what was he gonna do? Frustrated and confused, he stared out of his window into the beautiful night sky looking directly at the moon. He felt some sort of invisible force pull him off of his bed and towards the window. He placed his elbows on the window sill and stared off at the moon. He had never done anything like this, although he had never been in a situation exactly like this either. Eddie lifted his small hands to the top of the window and slowly opened it so he could get some air in. He repositioned himself on the sill to his position he was holding before he opened the window and continued staring at the moon. This is ridiculous, he thought. A 16 year old boy staring at the moon and 12:00 am, ridiculous. He also thought that his feelings for Richie were also ridiculous. He thought a lot was ridiculous, almost everything to Eddie Kaspbrak was ridiculous. But he didn’t stop, if anything what he did next was more ridiculous. He started talking to the moon.
“I don’t like girls,” he confessed with a trembling voice. He could feel the tears rolling down his face and falling down onto the window sill. Eddie had a strong feeling that he was the only gay person at his school, he felt like he was the only gay person in Derry. Thankful that school was over, that he only had one year left and then he’d be gone. But he still had one year, he could hide it or embrace it. He still hadn’t said that he was gay yet, he just stated that he doesn’t like girls. He needed to say it, he knew that. This was gonna be hard but the time has come, it’s time for him to step out of the closet. Although he wasn’t telling anyone except for himself and the moon, he was still coming out and saying it out loud for the first time. This was big, this was finally happening. For better or for worse, he didn’t know yet but it was happening either way. “I’m guh-gay.”
“And, I-I…I’m in love with my beh-best friend, Richie To-Tozier.” Eddie said while sobbing into his arms which were now crossed on the ledge of the window. He felt disgusting, he felt like he was a burden to this world. He knew that he wouldn’t be except for his differences, not that he really cared about how other people felt about him in the first place, but something about this situation he cared about. It was how Richie would feel, he knew Richie would except him no matter what. He felt like Richie would treat him differently however, but not in a good way. Eddie didn’t want to ruin his relationship with Richie, but he knew that him coming out would definitely do just that. If he told Richie he knew that Richie would find out that he liked him. Eddie had never liked anyone else in his life, he had never felt these feelings of butterflies and this warm feeling around anyone else besides Richie Tozier. Richie would be able to tell, he would look at Eddie and tell that he was in love. Eddie couldn’t let that happen, it would truly ruin him as a whole.
“He’s all I ever think about, everything he does just gets me. He is the perfect person I have dreamed about since I knew what love was. Nothing compares to him, the way he walks, talks, he makes me feel like I’m safe. But that scares me because, I can never have him. Why am I like this? Why am I this disgusting? Why do I like boys? Why do I like that boy? Why am I in love with my best friend? Why do I love Richie Tozier?” He hopelessly asked while grabbing his hair frustratingly while crying, he just cried that night. Admitting all of this made him feel better, but he felt like he shouldn’t feel better. He felt like he had “a sickness”, he felt like if he told his mother she’d put him on more sugar pills and tell him that they are ‘anti gay’ pills to help with his new “sickness”. He needed so much help right now, he couldn’t control his tears and his pleads for help that were coming out in the form of prayers. He Prayed that the world would turn in his favour, prayed that this wasn’t real, prayed that it was just ridiculous.
Eddie stopped his tears and stared at the moon, like it’d give him answers. He knew that what he was doing was ridiculous but he didn’t stop, he talked about Richie all night. Tears dried, and the boy was smiling once again. He smiled when he talked about Richie, about his features and how he made him feel. Although he was still felt disgusting about his feelings towards his friend he knew that the feelings were positive feelings and were meant to make him feel positive over negative. The feelings in general made him think of himself as disgusting but the how the feelings felt were different versus the idea of the feelings. He started blushing when he thought of kissing Richie, he could feel his cheeks getting warm even though he sat in the cold night air. He smiled down at the grass that laid below him realizing that that was his first time removing his eye contact from the moon of his window. He looked around his neighbourhood, all of the house lights were pitch black with the exception of a few. No one was outside to hear his confessions, no one except for the moon.
Chapter one what did y'all think? Tell me in the comments, if you didn’t know this fanfiction is highly inspired by Camila Cabello’s song ‘Only Told The Moon’ it’s an unreleased bOp, I recommend you listen to it. Well I hope you liked the first chapter and don’t forget to like, and vote on Wattpad (@/bitchintozier).

3-5 Kimono Rumble: Savior of the World
Again, sorry for the spam.
If you want to blacklist these, you can use either the tag #kimono rumble for just this event, or #xdu event scripts for all these posts in general.
Reminder that these are copied straight from XD Unlimited itself, so any grammatical weirdness, mistranslations, and/or mischaracterizations are not my doing.
Tumblr media
Hibiki Tachibana: "I wonder if Chris-chan and the others are okay."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Don't worry about them. They'll be back if something happens."
Elfnein: "I wonder if they have gotten to grips with their Gears?"
Maria: "Yeah. Will those Gears really have meaning if they just brute-force their way through everything?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "They'll be fine. I showed them my cherished stash of samurai movies to draw inspiration from..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "And I also showed them some horror movies set in the Edo period, so they'll know how to deal with curses!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "But Chris-chan was so scared that she looked like she could cry..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I wouldn't say it was everything, but I taught them the important stuff."
Maria: "And that's exactly what has me worried."
Miku Kohinata: "Ahaha... I can see why."
Genjuro Kazanari: "In any case, we have no way of confirming what's going on there. We'll just have to believe in them and wait."
Elfnein: "Yes..."
Maria: "Haah... I'm feeling restless. Maybe I should do some training."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Oh, I'll join you. What about you, Tachibana?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Of course! I can never get enough training!"
Miku Kohinata: "I'd like to watch and learn from you if that's okay."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Sure. Let's head to the training room."
Tumblr media
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Okay, that should do it."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Phew, now that was a workout."
Miku Kohinata: "Here's your towel, Hibiki."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Thanks! You know, that Kimono Gear Chris-chan was wearing looked so cool."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It really did."
Maria: "Oh? You liked it too, Tsubasa? I suppose you'd look good in a kimono."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Hey, she's right! You'd look great in one!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "R-Really?"
Miku Kohinata: "I think so too."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Even so, I'd be wary of feeling jealous of them just yet."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I'm sure they must be fighting for their lives against the Warrior Noise..."
Maria: "Yeah."
Tumblr media
Kirika Akatsuki: "Aww... There's never anything good on TV."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "You want something to drink, Kiri-chan?"
Kirika Akatsuki: "I'll take you up on that offer!"
Chris Yukine: "Since you're up anyway, can you get me a bag of chips?"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Salt and vinegar, or cheese and onion?"
Chris Yukine: "Hmm... I'll go for the salt and vinegar."
Dr. Ver: "Sorry for the delay, I brought that dessert from the department store that everyone's raving about!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Nice! I want the red one!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Then I'll take the green one. Let's share it half and half, Kiri-chan."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Sure!"
Chris Yukine: "Thanks for doing all this. You gave us a nice room and all this other stuff, too. You thought of everything."
Dr. Ver: "It's the least we could do. The efficiency with which you deal with the Noise has saved us a lot of bother!"
Dr. Ver: "Compared to the costs it would have taken otherwise, these creature comforts were the least I could do!"
Dr. Ver: "You are the saviors of our world. I intend to support you in any way I can!"
Kirika AkatsukI: "This place is like heaven on earth!"
Dr. Ver: "I will excuse myself now. Please call if you need anything."
Chris Yukine: "Wow, all this food is making me sleepy. I'm going to take a nap..."
Chris Yukine: "Mmm... Aww..."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "The battle never ends for a Guardian."
Tumblr media
Chris Yukine: "Waaaah!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Wh-What's the matter?!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Did you have a bad dream?"
Chris Yukine: "Have a bad dream? I'm pretty sure I'm still in it!"
Chris Yukine: "What are we turning into?"
Chris Yukine: "It's the Noise. For once, I'm actually glad there's a Noise alert!"
Chris Yukine: "Enough lazing around, you guys! There's Noise on the loose! We have to hurry!"
Tumblr media
Dr. Ver; "Guh, this isn't good..."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "What's wrong?"
Dr. Ver: "The Noise have appeared at the shrine!"
Tumblr media
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "I have to reflect on my actions."
Kirika Akatsuki: "So do I."
Chris Yukine: "I'm not one to talk, but if we keep up this lazy lifestyle, we'll get rusty."
Kirika Akatsuki: "You're right about that. Being treated like state guests made us grow complacent."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "All those luxuries at our fingertips."
Chris Yukine: "Having to wait for the Noise to appear was no excuse for acting like couch potatoes."
Chris Yukine: "Once we deal with the problem here, we're heading back to our world!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Too right. We shouldn't stay here for too long."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Hey, I see them! It's the Warrior Noise!"
Chris Yukine: "They're just what we need. Let's fight them, and get back on the straight and narrow!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "We defeated them..."
Chris Yukine: "But it doesn't look like we're through yet."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Yeah..."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "I had a feeling..."
Kirika Akastuki: "Looks like we got a big group of them today..."
Chris Yukine: "They can't win one-on-one, so now they're trying to gang up on us. Except they've just made things easier!"
Chris Yukine: "I'll send them on a tour bus straight to hell!"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Hey! Don't go out there alone!"
Chris Yukine: "Like I'm going to lose to these lightweights!"
Kirika Akatsuki: "Yup! Nothing can beat these Gears!"
Dr. Ver: "Thank goodness for that..."
Chris Yukine: "Speaking of, you looked pretty surprised that the Warrior Noise were at the shrine. Why was that?"
Dr. Ver: "It's because this shrine has the Muramasa fragments from all the Warrior Noise you've defeated up to now."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Up to now? You mean the ones that we beat?"
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "I didn't know..."
Dr. Ver: "I think I mentioned to you earlier that Muramasa was housed in this shrine before shattering, didn't I?"
Dr. Ver: "Well it's because this place is the most ideal environment to seal Muramsasa."
Kirika Akatsuki: "Why can't it be sealed anywhere else?"
Dr. Ver: "It's due to the misfortune that Muramasa brings with it. Only this shrine can suppress the blade's curse."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "So it's that special of a place..."
Chris Yukine: "And so the plot thickens."
Chris Yukine: "How big is Muramasa by the way? You said there were dozens of fragments, right?"
Dr. Ver: "Well... The original Muramasa was 2 shaku, 2 sun, and 8 bu."
Kirika Akatsuki: "2 shaku? What unit of measurement is that?"
Dr. Ver: "If you convert it into metric, it's just under 69 cm."
Shirabe Tsukuyomi: "Each fragment is about 1 cm, and the fragments we've gotten so far are..."
Chris Yukine: "Hold on! That means we still have to gather like, 60 more of them?!"
Kirika Akastuki: "Looks like this is going to take a while..."

Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh take two. I started this post, saved as a draft and then POOF. it gone.
Anyway first off wow this is post 100 and i’m like CAN U BELIEVE but also woooow that’s sad cos for as long as I’ve had this blog I.... should have posted way more, but whatever can’t change the past!
Obligatory spiel about my absence: January was a really shit month, as January tends to be for me, and so it’s taken me an unnecessarily long time to get back here and to my studying, but now that I’ve got my books out again, everything feels SO GOOD. I can’t describe how good it feels to be somewhere in my book and able to figure out what I’m reading and understand things with certain clarity. I find often I spend a lot of time struggling to really understand what I’m taking in and thus not really taking it in at all and it basically makes me feel very muddled and confused and not like I’m learning anything. So to reach a point - ESPECIALLY after a really bad phase of fogginess and incomprehension - where things just CLICK and I can actually not only understand but EXPLAIN them? Guh, it’s an indescribable feeling. I can’t compare it to anything else.
But like I said, January was just terrible. I was reading back on old entries in here and there was a post or two that were just difficult to read for that reason. It was a long period of doing nothing but sleeping or wanting to sleep and an awful, impenetrable foggy haze and nothing was retained. I started back where I left off, under my recent plans that I’ll just spend less time doing excessive reviews and hoping it’ll come back to me or I can figure it out by context but it was so obvious I retained nothing that I HAD to do a review. Fortunately, I’d only just started EWHA 2-1 so it wasn’t like I had a LOT to review but it was definitely necessary! I struggled so much with it back then that by the time I reviewed it now, it was practically new.
On the bright side, the review made me REALLY understand things! That’s not to say it was totally easy. I definitely struggled this time around and had to look up some things or else ask Kat for help (she insists she did nothing but she was literally the key to me understanding -에 비해서 because the book didn’t explain it well at all and even the study guide didn’t help me enough because I just was in that weird plastic-wrapped brain feeling where nothing actually sinks in!)
The point I’m getting at is: it was one of those times where a review was highly necessary and I’m really happy with this feeling of understanding. At night I’ve been trying to review grammar points in my head before I sleep, which is something I should become more diligent with.
Now that I’m caught up to where I was before, I think I’m going to take a break from plunging on and just work with the grammar and vocabulary I’ve learned, so that I can try to make them REALLY stick. I was talking on twitter about this, but twitter is twitter so it’s really hard to express myself sometimes but. I want to get to a point where these grammar points are a little more inherent. To this day, the only grammar point that I consider to be TRULY inherent to me is -고 싶다 lmao but a lot of them I can typically recall or understand when I read, but I need to reach the point where if i want to speak or write something, I don’t have to spend 800 years thinking of it - and that’s where I am right now. Obviously this means I have to give myself a lot of writing exercises, so that’s what I’m going to do! As well as that, I know flashcards aren’t the most useful things, but I think as a supplement, they work well for me. In the end, the best way to learn vocabulary is by USING it and coming up with sentences that you can recall, and reading things and just immersing yourself with it, but in that sense, flashcards can help if only to drill a sense of familiarity. (But never rely on flashcards alone!)
I guess this post doesn’t say very much at all but mostly it’s just serving as my own update. I have a lot of notes but I’m not sure how I wanna blog them, so I guess instead I wanna work on writing things first. Another thing I mentioned on twitter re: retaining grammar points is that for a lot of these, I don’t speak the way they do. My voice is very strong, I know, and I have a very certain manner of speaking, and that’s a big thing about learning another language is learning to think in the way of that new language. How I speak in English may not translate well to Korean. I certainly don’t have enough grammar knowledge, I don’t think, to do so yet, and maybe I never will - and that’s okay. English =/= Korean. So a big part of this practice of writing with grammar points is learning to think in that manner. I think this is maybe whey it’s so hard for me to sometimes write sentences? (That and my belief that my vocabulary is far more limited than it really is.) Learning to think in new ways is difficult, especially when you’re so very set in your own ways! But it’s such a necessity. Therefore, I plan to start small by doing things like writing 10 sentences and then maybe I’ll do 10 more, but incorporating more grammar points. (For example, the aforementioned -에 비해서 made use of this with some of their sample and practice sentences, where they’d throw in things like 어제 본 영화는 재미있어요? And you’d be surprised at how often that sometimes throws me for a loop. I really do forget so much that I can say things like “Was the movie you saw yesterday fun?” like. It’s just PROOF that I need to do so much work! Note taking and studying only does so much, duh! Stop being lazy self!)
Mostly I’m just in this really great position of understanding things and being able to use them and I know once I forage ahead it’ll be all new stuff, and that’s okay. As long as I get myself feeling even better about using these pieces, I’ll be good! Like I said before, I really, really love how it feels to be at this place - esp when I’ve had so many bouts of feeling worthless and stupid and just incapable of a lot of things. It feels good to feel like I’m LEARNING and going somewhere, instead of reading, comprehending and then struggling. Aaaaaaaah!

an unfinished KuroHyde drabble that cryEden will probably never finish
note from cryEden: lol ok so this was in my AO3 drafts and it’s going to get deleted on the 29th, so I decided to post it here. Also I need to mention that there are mentions of Haikyuu characters in here because I have no imagination or creativity so
Original Title: Behind the Tiredness
Genre: Fluff (if i had finished this it would’ve been angst but i didn’t rip)
Pairing: Hyde | Lawless/Kuro | Sleepy Ash
Characters: Kuro, Hyde, Licht Jekylland Todoroki, Akaashi Keiji (for like two paragraphs)
"Have a good day~" Hyde chirped as he waved at a short boy with orange hair and a taller boy who looked grumpy walk out of the cafe he worked at.
It was almost like every day; wake up, clock in, work, argue with angel-chan, clock out, and sleep... Well, that was what every day for the male was like up until recently.
A boy with blue hair and ruby red, tired eyes had started to come in frequently, and soon, had started to become a daily customer. Every morning around 8:30 AM, he always ordered a small, mocha coffee, getting his order and sitting at a table before leaving twenty minutes later. The first time he had ordered and Hyde asked for a name to write on the cup, the boy just mumbled something like 'what a pain' before telling him to just put 'K'. It threw the Shakespeare-boy off guard, but he couldn't argue and just awkwardly wrote the name— rather, the letter down.
Hyde didn't pay much attention to the male until his co-worker, Licht, pointed him out while the Shakespear-quoting boy waited patiently as the cashier, waiting for the next customer to come to.
"That guy over there's been coming over here a lot, lately," the pianist commented as he made a hot chocolate before calling over the customer who ordered it.
"Pfft. I bet you not as much as you come in Ma— guh-!!" Hyde yelped, clutching the side of his stomach from where Licht had kicked him.
"You dirty fucking shit rat. We're at work. Shut up," the ravenette had growled lowly, which the other male had just laughed saying sorry while calling Licht an angel.
A week later, Hyde decided to try and talk to the 'K' boy. He seemed like an interesting customer if you asked the cashier himself. Oh, how the bluenette would talk lowly in a tired manner and how he would just stare out the window or fall asleep at the table.
The Shakespeare-boy stared intently at the door, waiting for the boy to come. He would glance at the clock every now and then, and soon got a bit more excited as he saw a familiar figure walked along the windows of the cafe and to the door. The bells of the door chimed as the K-boy walked in, approaching the counter with that lazy-like expression he always held.
"Goo~d morning! Same as usual?" Hyde chirped.
The bluenette sighed and nodded, as he held out the money that Hyde gladly took.
"Name?"
"Wha...? I go here every day... You should know what name to put by now..."
"Name~?"
The corners of Lawless' lips raised more, a wide grin spreading on his face. The male on the other side of the counter sighed, muttering something like "Can't deal..." before telling Hyde to put the name 'Kuro'.
Kuro. That literally translates to black. Hyde thought as he wrote the name on the cup, but it took awhile for him to do so. The bluenette raised an eyebrow at this, seeing how it was just a simple four-lettered name. How can anyone possibly have such a hard time writing a stupid name down?
After a minute, Hyde grinned as he placed the cup down, telling Kuro that his order would be done soon. The male just sighed in return, walking to the table he always sat at.
Licht grabbed the cup, looking at it with a raised eyebrow to what his co-worker had written down. The ravenette scoffed at it, before continuing to make the coffee. The questioned lingered in Licht's mind, though: Why on earth would Hyde have an interest in someone such as that 'K' customer? Like honestly. Sure, the shit rat would flirt with some girls when taking their order, but that was only because one time Hyde mocked Licht saying that "Lich-tan, you're too stingy! There's no way girls are gonna like you" and Licht replied with a "Shitty rat, you're such an ass. There's no way not even a single girl would like someone like you." But then again, that was two months ago (Licht ended up winning).
"Kuro, mocha coffee!" The pianist called out, as he placed the drink on the counter.
"Sheesh, you do sure sound violent..." The tired-looking male mumbled as he walked over, grabbing his drink.
Licht raised an eyebrow. "Violent? Excuse you but I am what people call..."
Oh god. He's doing that pose.
"...an angel."
Hyde turned around, seeing that his co-worker was doing that stupid angel pose. He laughed a bit, before backing him up, pretending to fawn over him while saying things such as "That's my cool angel-chan!" and "Kakkoi!" before getting kicked right in the stomach like always.
Of course, though, Kuro just stood there while drinking his coffee. His finger tapped on his cup, before mumbling "What a violent angel... too troublesome, can't deal..." and walked back to his table where he sat down and looked out the window.
"Lich-tan, why are you so mean?!" Hyde whined.
"Shut up, demon rat! At least I don't try and get the person I like by putting my stupid phone number when writing down their na—"
"Shh! Lich-tan, shut up!" Lawless whined again. "I'll get back to work if that'll make you shut up. Geez, I'm not even sure how you and your boyfriend got together."
"Shut up."
The Shakespeare-quoting boy shook his head, before walking back over to the cashier to help the next person, apologizing for making them wait and continued like normal. However, for the next twenty minutes, Hyde's eyes would always trail to the bluenette as to see if he had notice the number written on the cup. Minutes later, the cashier's hopefulness soon washed out as Kuro stood up from his chair and threw the cup away, walking out of the cafe and off to wherever he was going. Hyde sighed in disappointment to himself as he continued working. Well, there was always next time, right?
Hyde looked at the question in his book with a frustrated expression. He was in his apartment at the moment, studying for an upcoming quiz (he had a roommate but he was out right now). Oh, how he hated studying, honestly. But then again; who liked it in the first place? He ran a hand through his hair, slicking it back a bit before pulling his hand away, letting his hair fall back into its natural place. He took note that he should buy hair pins, a headband or something for when he's studying. His hair is quite distracting, after all, it being fluffy with dyed brown tips.
As he tapped his pencil against his cheek, he felt his phone buzz off on his desk, vibrating in place. He groaned loudly, before grabbing his phone and picking it up, not bothering to look at the caller ID (he expected it to be his roommate's friend since he always called if his roommate didn't answer his phone calls).
"Hello, hello, Hyde here. Koutarou, if you're calling for Akaachi then he's out right now because of one of his classes," Hyde sighed, as he let go of the phone, letting his shoulder hold it as he continued on with his work.
"Um... no? You work at the cafe, don't you...? How troublesome... You really are stupid if you don't look at the caller ID..." a (very familiar) tired voice sighed from the other line, catching the Shakespear-quoting boy off guard.
"Wha-? Who... You can't be Kuro... Are you?" Lawless panicked slightly, putting his pencil down and leaning back in his chair as he held the phone against his ear.
"Who else would it be, honestly? You wrote your number under my name..."
"But- I thought you didn't see it?"
"Wow... You are really oblivious and stupid... I saw it when I was walking back to my table," Kuro explained, his bored tone being obvious.
"Be nicer!" Hyde exclaimed. "And sorry for being busy and helping other costumers!"
"You actually weren't... You and that violent angel were doing your weird gag."
Okay. Take back everything that Lawless had said about this guy. He wasn't interesting at all. He was rather annoying now that Hyde was talking to Kuro.
"Well, anyway, my roommate is home... Ah... So troublesome... Bye."
That 'bye' was what ended the call, leaving Hyde unable to respond. He groaned loudly, throwing his phone onto his bed as his roommate walked into the room, placing his bag on his own bed while staring at Lawless.
"Stressed?" Keiji questioned, as the other male groaned even louder again, meaning 'fuck yes dude, help me Keiji'. He sighed, as he walked out of the room.
"Let me go get changed and all that and I can help you with whatever it is you need."

The Thirty and One Nights' Momentary Diversion - Within Every Angle And Absorbed By The Matrix Of Reflection
The denizens of the Applied Physics lab, at least some of them, are back from "Nodejacked" for another tale of crazy angles and crazier consequences -- and siqq burns on Gravitational Distortion, H.P. Lovecraft, and the author.
Within Every Angle And Absorbed By The Matrix Of Reflection
"Okay," I said, "I can help Carolína out with this; it's no problem, I don't have anything this afternoon anyway.  But… are you really sure that you really want to run this Stan your notes like in a third-rate moeshit iincho plot flag?  We're in college.  He's a big boy.  If he wants to get credit, he can go to class like a normal person.  It'd be one thing if he was sick, but he's just hikkied, isn't he?  I don't think I've seen him show up all semester."
Riley set something down on the shelf with a clunk and a huff and a weary hunch of the shoulders, and turned away from a long open-sided metal gearbox with a wide fan like an artillery elevator sticking out of it, and locked on to me with a look of long-suffering resignation. "Sajitha, welcome to the wide and wonderful world of the apartment reference.  Back when I first moved out of the freshman dorms, Stan and I lived together in Adelard Towers.  You remember, that condo village out in the sticks where the Guatemalan mafia had the meth lab that burned down, and the property manager fled to Norway to escape prosecution, and everybody in the developer's office got deported to India?  Well, what that means is that I have this property on my record, and Stan has it on his record, and the only people who can tell a prospective landlord that we weren't involved in this gangbang of drugs, corruption, and seven-alarm three-acre fires, and are actually good tenants despite living there, are us – everyone else is in jail or out of the country or both. So I am stuck to him, and he is stuck to me, and if he fails out of school and my landlord raises the rent again, I am going to have a hell of a time finding a place that I can afford.  As long as I have anything to say about it, Stan is going to pass his exams and not flunk out – at least until I can get through a couple more tenancies without any other buildings exploding or catching on fire."  Riley's face was grim: this was for real.
"Fine," I said, hands up.  "Okay; I don't want you to get in trouble either, so I guess that's good enough.  Are we set to go, or is he super weird about notes on a thumb drive and do we need to go by the library and print everything out?"
Riley sighed and squinted.  "You'd think he would be, with how time-cube weird he is about everything else, but when I sent Leo over, he said that Stan had this triambic icosahedron thing that he used to purify the thumb drive and it was ok.  Leo didn't get his thumb drive back, but at least Stan passed the damn midterm." Something creaked on the shelf, and Riley quickly turned around to make sure the gearbox or Bofors action or whatever wasn't going to rip it off the wall.
"So, like a razor pyramid, but for the kind of very special whackos who can also pass algebraic topology courses if someone makes sure they get all the notes," I said, rolling my eyes.  "All right; not a problem.  The drive's just a burner from the last career fair, and I'll be careful, when we're over his place, not to talk about anything against a four-corner day.  Jesus." I stuffed the drive in my pocket, picked up my bag, and hustled through the door to the applied physics lab so that Carolína could reset the EMO drop bars behind us.
"So wait," I said to Carolína, as we climbed up into the bus to head from the engineering quad back downtown, "you know where we're going already.  How do you know where this Stan lives?  Have you taken him notes before?  What's his apartment like?  Is he going to hurf at us?  Does he smell?"
She shook her head.  "No, I just have him on Facebook and in an old group text.  I was in a set theory class with him last semester – he goes to his math classes.  He… no, Stan is definitely not normal, but he'll go to class if he cares about it, and if you find him there, he's not more weird than like any other weird guy who is into math.  I don't know about his apartment – when he was in class, though, he didn't smell so bad you noticed."
I nodded, slowly.  Okay.  So this wasn't probably going to be that bad; you got a lot of weird guys in engineering, and some of the ones who didn't go to class were like actual live-under-a-bridge trolls with body odor that would break windows, but if Stan wasn't, then this would be just a pain rather than dangerous.  I should have known – Riley said they'd roomed together out in that complex before it burned down, and Riley wouldn't've put up with trollishness.  "Okay. So what's his deal then?  Why does he go to math classes but can't drag himself up to Fields and Waves?  It's in the same building – on days he has math classes he's got to go up to campus anyway, and it's not like he's a damn grad student who has one class a day, tops. If he goes to math classes, it's got to be something other than being lazy or trollish if he skips the other ones on purpose."
Carolína furrowed her brow.  "I don't know, but I think I remember that he was working on some big project, something math, that was way more important than anything else.  He got real, real weird when he was talking about it – like it was almost a religious thing for him."
I shook my head back and forth.  Guh.  So that was his deal.  Utterly unsurprising.  "Uuuuugh.  One of those. Another one of those.  All listening to bizarre IDM.  All writing tech-death-metal lyrics on the walls.  All putting stellated polyhedra on everything.  All running David Icke but the reptoids are being controlled by intelligent shades of vibrating nanoscale colors from higher-order dimensions.  All living on hot pockets and freaking out about how one can turn into a Klein bottle."  I knocked my head against the bus window.
"Come on – he can't be that bad.  Riley used to live with him."
"Yeah – used to; maybe he's gotten weirder since, or they split because he was getting too weird and hotboxing the entire house.  Personally, I blame the writers," I said, sitting back up because our stop was coming up.  "Anybody who's ever mentioned a 'shining trapezohedron' or used a Szilassi torus as a gateway to another dimension ought to get punted off a bridge, because it convinces guys with poor social skills that if they keep grinding on geometry and do enough of the right drugs, they can become an actual wizard instead of just an internet one.  It's got to be the writing: when people just do tons of DMT and smoke weed, they turn out fine. Well, yeah, they go stoner and drop out of anything useful, but they don't get weird about math like the ones who read weird fiction do." Carolína rolled her eyes and shook her head as she stood up; this was our stop, and it wouldn't be too far to get to Stan's place, give him the notes, and then just forget about him forever.
According to Carolína's phone's check-in cloud, Stan's place was a little out of the way; it was a couple streets off the main drag, an old triple-decker next to an abandoned auto body shop with weeds growing through some old truck frames in the back, where she finally climbed up the steps and looked over the mailbox: Stanislav Faldyna, apartment three and a half. There was no doorbell for apartment three and a half.
I shrugged.  "So what do you want to do?  Do we ring the doorbells for everyone else and ask how we get to apartment 3.5?"
Carolína squinted. "I… guess?  I don't know, I mean, probably everybody is out, and I don't know how I'd feel about some random ringing my doorbell to ask about somebody else in the building, but I guess we got to?  I don't really know him that well that I can text him and ask him to come let us in, and I don't want to like creeply-crawl around the house to look for another doorbell."  She pulled out her phone like she was trying to decide if she should wake up that old group text, or maybe call Riley to see what we were supposed to do.
"Hey," a woman said behind us, "are you looking for someone?  Are you looking for Javier?  He doesn't live here any more."  I turned around and looked her over; a black woman, about our age, probably a student like us, her braids twisted high up on top of her head, holding textbooks in front of herself defensively, like she was wary of the randoms who were standing on her porch looking over the mailboxes and checking their phones.
"Yeah, and no – we don't know this Javier, we're actually looking for this Stan Faldyna, but there isn't a bell or a door for three and a half. Do you live here?  Do you know how three and a half works?"
The woman made an uck face.  "Stan?  He lives in the basement.  I guess you want the side door."  She nodded vaguely over at the driveway along the fence separating the lot from the weeds of the body shop, and almost shuddered as she came up past us to her own door, hauling out her keys.
"Thanks, I guess," I said after her, as she ignored us and went through the door to apartment 1.  "We'll try not to disturb you too much, and if Stan's being a dick we'll tell him to cut the shit." Nobody was listening and it felt empty and futile.  I was starting to get a bad feeling about Stan again, and I shook my head as I followed Carolína back down the front steps and around to the side door.
The side door was a squat five-foot slab of wood almost ducked into the ground next to the driveway.  No bell, but it did have a 3.5 on it. I banged on the door; if he wasn't in, we could leave the drive in his mailbox and send him a note.  Nothing.  I banged on the door again, and this time it opened barely a second later.
The door yanked in on a dead-pale, sunken-eyed, sleep-deprived-looking shrimp with sandy brown hair sticking up this way, that way, and every other which way.  He looked like he needed a sandwich, or like he was strung out on heroin, or maybe both; I shot a look at Carolína, and she nodded.  This was Stan, and this was his deal, and we'd have to take it from here.  I swung my bag around and fished the drive out.
"Hey," I said, pushing it over on him, "you don't know us – or at least you don't know me – but Riley sent us over with the notes for Fields and Waves.  This is it, so purify it or whatever, and make sure that you show up for the final."  I pushed the thumb drive into his chest, and he finally reached up a hand, taking it like he wasn't sure what a USB drive was, or maybe like his depth perception was super bad.  He took it at last, and I turned to go.
"Wait," he said, in a voice that sounded like it had cobwebs and an inch-thick layer of dust on it.  "Thanks.  But since you're here, can you help me with something?  I don't want to bother you, but I can't do it by myself."
I stopped.  Going down into weird basement apartments with weird dudes was hazardous to your health, but Riley needed Stan intact and passing his classes, and he looked like even Carolína could beat him up with one hand behind her back if he tried anything funny. "Well, maybe.  What is it?"
He was looking flat at us.  "I need to move my bookcase.  It's big. It's too heavy to lift myself."  It was an innocent enough request, and looking at him it didn't look like he even knew how to lie like a creep.  I looked at Carolína, and she shrugged; I guess this was okay.
"All right," I said.  "If it'll help you study, we can help you move your bookcase.  It'll be easier with all three of us."  He nodded, and went back down the steps; we followed him down into the basement.
Stan's basement apartment smelled like weed and Pot Noodle and unwashed laundry, but it wasn't really that much of a sty; Stan didn't have a lot in the way of stuff.  He wasn't big on lights, either, and I nearly tripped coming down the stairs in the dark.  He opened up a couple panels in an origami ball with a bunch of short stellated facets, and put the drive inside, closing the paper up around it. Stan motioned over at the far wall, under a low ground-level window. "That's it.  It needs to move."
I took a step closer, then another, moving around some kind of trash pile or extremely large origami subassembly in the middle of the floor.  The bookcase was empty, but still long and heavy-looking. "Okay," I said.  "Just let me and Carolína put our bags down somewhere and we'll help move it.  Is the futon okay? Where does it need to go?"  I'd set my bag down on a cleanish-looking part of the futon without waiting for an answer.
Stan walked over and grabbed one end of the bookcase, not really pointing anything out.  "It just needs to move – back in the kitchen would probably be all right.  As long as it's here, the muoctahedron can't spread.  And it must spread, so that it can replace the wall." I didn't follow, but I took the other end, and Carolína got in the middle, and by waiting for a cue we finally convinced Stan to lift up and guide the bookcase where it needed to go: the middle of the kitchen floor, where he just left it with a thump.  I went back to get our bags, and saw some kind of tiled pattern sticking out of the wall in the corner, back behind where the bookcase had been.  It was mold, or tiles, or some kind of garbage thrown in the corner: Stan wasn't growing some kind of infinte theoretical lattice in this basement, and if he was it certainly wouldn't be blocked by a bookcase.
Carolína was less sure.  "I'm sorry, Stan, the what? Are you trying to extend your apartment by replacing the walls with a theoretical geometric construct?  Besides the part where that can't happen, this is the basement:  you're messing with the foundation. If you replace the walls, the house will fall down."
He shook his head.  "The muoctahedron is an accident: it's the herald of the change to come.  It follows the completion of my great disnub dirhomidodecahedron – it arises from its resonances, even incomplete.  When it's completed, the pattern will fold forever." He made just the least little motion in the direction of the origami trashpile on his floor, and there was a weird, unnatural light in his eyes – they seemed to be shining from within in the dark.
I shouldered my bag and tugged at Carolína's sleeve.  "Okay; well, we've moved your bookcase, so you can get back to building your impossible figure and studying for Fields and Waves when that drive's vibrations are right.  Enjoy your lattice, bye."  I sidled over to the steps, and went up them sideways to the door, making sure to keep an eye on Stan as we got the hell out of his place before he got any weirder.
"I give it two weeks before he gets arrested beating up the clerk at a 7-11 because nothing comes in a Klein bottle," I said as we hustled to the bus stop.  "I don't want to be the one who has to tell Riley about it, but ya boy Stan is cuckoo nutterbutters."
"As long as he's just doing origami, he's not going to beat anybody up," Carolína put in, a little hurt.  "And he's going to be doing it for a while – he said he was building a great disnub dirhomidodecahedron, right?"
"Yeah, and he said he had an infinite lattice 'growing' on his back wall. He's a few vacuum cleaners short of a jam band."
"No, that origami thing – that origami thing in the midle of the floor. It definitely looked like it was big enough to be part of a Skilling's figure, to actually make all the vertices with those pieces of paper.  And if he's really making one of those, he'll never finish."
I stopped dead on the sidewalk.  "I don't get you.  Should I, or is this something that you only get in the advanced geometry classes that you and he did?"
Carolína paused for a second, thinking.  "It's pretty hard, and it's pretty obscure.  The great disnub dirhombidodecahedron is a hidden uniform polyhedron – it doesn't follow the rules of all the other ones, so it gets called out as 'degenerate', but it's still the only shape in the universe that behaves like it.  And it's probably impossible to actually build – it's degenerate because some of its edges are double edges, where four polygons meet on a single line instead of two.  You can make it in Mathematica, but physically making out of paper on your floor, I don't think it's possible."  She looked disturbed.  "If he can do it, it'll be almost as big a deal as when John Skilling discovered the thing, but if he can't do it and gets stuck – and that thing about the muoctahedron –"
"Well, I guess we've got to hope he finishes it, and gets prizes and props for being a math genius," I said, pulling out my phone.  "I'm going to call Riley to report in; after that you want to go to the Indonesian popup place and get some satay sticks, or do you have lab?"
Carolína nodded. "Sure, I can hang out; I mean, it's not like he's going to burn the neighborhood down with a polyhedron or anything."  I scrolled down to Riley's number, and we went left on Franks to get to Lombok Bali rather than the bus.
I completely forgot about Stan, and his Skilling figure and his muoctahedron, and the part where he was either a genius or totally crazypants, for most of another two weeks, until Carolína called me out of the blue while I was bagging up my groceries at the party store.  "Sajitha," she said, "You still have your GPS heat map, right?  I'm trying to get to Stan's to take him another thumb drive for Riley, but I can't find his place."
That threw me for a loop.  "Carolína, didn't you lead us over there the last time?  He lives in that eggshell-white triple-decker next to the abandoned auto body lot right off Whitlock, right?  Are you over there now?"
"That's just it – there is no Whitlock Street.  Where it should join Macnamara there is nothing – the house numbers are messed up, and it's on the map, but I can't get there.  I walk around, and my map pin goes squiggly, and then I end up on the other side."  She sounded nervous – maybe even afraid, like she knew but was hoping it was just her going crazy.
"Carolína, just calm down," I said.  "You probably just got turned around on one of those streets that isn't marked right, or they were putting in a new Dunkins and you had to go an unfamiliar way round.  You're just lost; it's not like the whole neighborhood folded up around some kind of weird topological anomaly and bent itself out of three-space or anything, right?  Right?  Carolína? Are you there?  Carolína? Carolína?"

Chaos Lineage Yuma Chapter 3 Translation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Several days passed after I began
spending time in Yuma-kun's room.
I don't know if it was sadness or fear,
but I stopped talking to Yuma-kun
about his real memories.
There were some times where I would
be the prey of Yuma-kun's fangs even
if I kept quiet.
At those times, I clenched my teeth as
my heart suffered more than my body.
But the situation didn't change
even if I endured it.
As time went by, there was a greater
possibility that everyone will fight.
And one day, when such enthusiasm
raised, I was called by Reiji-san--
Place : Scarlet mansion – Living room and Dining room
Tumblr media
Yui : (Every members are gathered. I'm the only one sitting on a chair... I feel uncomfortable when they look down at me)
(What is about to start from now on ?)
Tumblr media
Reiji : Eve. As you may know, we are fighting for the supreme ruler throne
And it is said that you are the key to become the supreme ruler
Yui : Y-Yes...
Reiji : It's been a while since you woke up. Have you remembered anything ?
Yui : I'm sorry, I don't--
*Reiji whips her
Yui : Ugh... !
(A-A whip... !? Since when did he...!?)
Tumblr media
Reiji : Will you keep acting ignorant no matter what ?
Yui : B-But I really...
*Reiji whips her
Yui : Hya... !
Kino : Isn't it better for you to talk ? Because there's no doubt that you know something
Yui : W-Why !?
Kino : Eve is the key to become the supreme ruler. If the person themselves doesn't hold the information, where else can we find it ?
Yui : I'm asking you why are you doing this !?
Tumblr media
Kino : If you just woke up and don't recover your memories, a shock therapy is necessary, right ?
Shu : … You're also the one who thought of that bothersome thing
Yui : (K-Kino-san suggested it...? But I really don't know anything !)
Yuma : It's something like hurting her so she can remember ?
Reiji : It's better than doing nothing. If I can make you remember with little discipline, I will spare no effort
Yui : That's... ! I really don't know !
Reiji : … Then, let's change the question. Do you remember anything from before you woke up in the church ?
Yui : Before I... woke up... ?
(In that case, I can tell them... But will they believe me--?)
Tumblr media
Reiji : It seems you remembered something. Tell us everything
Yui : B-But...
Kino : We won't get angry no matter the story. So come on, spill it
Yui : …
I was in a place called Kaminashi Town... I went to school
Kino : Heeh, and then ?
Yui : I met Yuma-kun there...
Reiji : … Yuma ?
Yuma : She's saying bullshit again...
Yui : Not just Yuma-kun. I also met Reiji-san, Shu-san, Ruki-kun... everyone
Tumblr media
Reiji : My my... Is this some kind of fairy tale reference ?
Yui : It's the truth ! But none of you remembers... So I'm confused as well !
Your brotherhood relalionship, your memories, everything has been altered...
Something bad must have happened ! Please, believe me !
Kino : Hmm... Everything has been altered, huh
Reiji : This is not worth considering. Do you have anything else to say ?
Yui : It can't be...
(I knew they wouldn't believe me...)
(But it becomes painful when they actually deny it...)
Yuma : Hey, sow. Repent for your falsehood before you drive us nuts
Kino : What's that nickname ? It's not logical...
Tumblr media
Yuma : What are you saying ? It fits her perfectly
Yui : (Yuma-kun...)
(If at least Yuma-kun could remember...)
Shu : – Quiet
Yui : (…!)
Yuma : Ah ? What's up ?
Shu : There's someone outside
Reiji : What ?
Yuma : Shit ! We're spied on !?
Tumblr media
Kou : Oops ! Let's run !
Azusa : Y... Yeah...
*Kou and Azusa leave
Yui : (Kou-kun ! Azusa-kun !)
Reiji : They're from the Violets... So they started making moves. Kino, Yuma !
Yuma : Leave it to me ! I won't let them escape !
*Yuma leave with Kino
Yui : Ah, wait !
*someone grabs her
Tumblr media
Shu : Hey, you don't leave
Yui : But Kou-kun and Azusa-kun will... !
(… get caught by Yuma-kun and Kino-san)
(Yuma-kun... It's not the same happy feeling from when his brothers messed with him at home. It's different from when they quarreled)
(These glistening eyes... are not like Yuma-kun...)
Scene change : Scarlet mansion – Exterior
Tumblr media
Yuma : For spies, you really suck
*Yuma draws his sword
Azusa : … Ugh...
Kou : Aah-ahh... Looks like we weren't suited for that
Azusa : Sorry, I got us caught... If I wasn't here, you could have escaped
Kou : Don't apologize. It's not your fault
Yuma : Stop making excuses. You wanna get killed ? Aah ?
*Yuma attacks Kou
Kou : Guh... !
Yui : … ! Yuma-kun !!
Scene change : Scarlet mansion – Living room and Dining room
Tumblr media
Yui : (I didn't want to see such a situation...)
(They're really against each other now... But this isn't right...)
Reiji : These two will be sent to jail. We will interrogate them there
Yui : (… ! At this rate, Kou-kun and Azusa-kun will...!)
(I may not be able to do anything. But still--)
Please, let me go with you !
Reiji : Why is that ?
Yui : Eh... ? W-Well...
(I must think ! Think of a convincing reason...!)
… I have the feeling I'll remember about the supreme ruler
So please, bring me with you to the dungeon
Reiji : …
Tumblr media
Yui : (Please... say yes, Reiji-san !)
Reiji : … I see. Alright, then. You come with us
Yui : (Ah, he believed me... ? No, he must be doubtful)
(But it doesn't matter now. I must meet Kou-kun and Azusa-kun. So I can listen to what they say--)
Scene change : Dungeon
Tumblr media
Reiji : Now... Let's have you confess. Did Carla instruct you to come here ?
Kou : No. We came here on our own
Reiji : I see. So in other words, Carla doesn't know you're being held captive right now ?
Kou : I wondeeer. Which one do you think it is ?
Reiji : Is Carla thinking of something ? What kind of trick does he intend to use ? What is his plan ? Tell me
Azusa : … We can't tell you
Kou : We're enemies, duh
Reiji : … I see. Fools like you will need discipline
Tumblr media
Yui : P-Please, wait ! Stop using violence !
Reiji : Did I give you the right to speak ? Unless you remembered something ?
Yui : W-Well, that's...
Reiji : This is not worth considering
Yui : (I can't help Kou-kun and Azusa-kun in this situation after all ?)
Tumblr media
Kino : Hey, big brother Reiji. Let me do it. Because I do that job well
Yui : (Eh ? Kino-san ?)
Shu : It’s rare that you ask that. What's the point ?
Kino : Nothing particular. But it seems making them confess will take time so I just wanted to help
Reiji : … Alright. I will leave this to you, Kino. Shu, Yuma, we're going back
Shu : Sigh... It was useless to just accompany you
*Reiji and Shu leave
Yuma : Hey, you're coming too
Yui : B-But...
Tumblr media
Kino : Now, let's make you two confess... Yaah !
*Kino hits Kou
Kou : Uwaaah... !
Kino : Oh, you won't talk. Then how about this ?
*Kino hits Azusa
Azusa : … Ugh... !
Kino : Quit just moaning... I'm asking you to spit information !
*Kino continues to hit them
Yui : (How horrible... ! And they can't fight back because they're chained !)
Tumblr media
Choice 1 : Stop Kino (White roses)
Yui : Kino-san, stop already !
Kino : Shut up, don't get in my way. Or you want to get hurt as well ?
Yui : I-I don't want to, but...
Kino : Then stay silent. You're annoying when you scream. Right, Yuma ?
Choice 2 : Ask Yuma (Black roses)
Yui : Yuma-kun, stop Kino-san ! At this rate, these two will... !
… ? Yuma-kun... ?
– End of choices
Tumblr media
Yuma : …
Yui : (He's staring at them and doesn't move an inch...?)
What's wrong... ? Hey, Yuma-kun ?
Yuma : Those two...
Yui : Eh ?
Tumblr media
Kino : You're deprived of freedom. Come on now, say something. While you keep your sanity
Azusa : … Don't... hit Kou
Kino : Ha ?
Azusa : Hit... only me...
Kou : Azusa-kun...
Kino : Ha... What's that ? Brother's love ? That kind of complicity irritates me
Alright, I'll squish you as you wish !
Yui : Ah, stop !!
*Yuma grabs Kino
Tumblr media
Yui : (Eh...?)
Azusa : Ah...
Kino : … Yuma, what are you doing ?
Yuma : … Ah... No, that's...
Yui : (Yuma-kun stopped Kino-san...?)
Kino : They're enemies, you know ? Don't tell me you became attached to them
Yuma : … Those guys really don't know anything. You're wasting your time
Kino : Hmm... Well, whatever. I'm losing interest so I'll leave it to you
I'm going ahead. So be careful about the key to the cell. Okay ?
*Kino leaves
Tumblr media
Yui : (Thank godness... They're saved)
Yuma-kun, thank you--
Yuma : Uh... Guh...
Yui : Yuma-kun !?
(He's crouching...!?)
*Yui gets close to Yuma
Tumblr media
Yui : Is there something wrong ? You look pale... !
Yuma : … I can see it, now
Yui : You can see it ? What can you see ?
Yuma : I dunno... But some guys told me it'll be troublesome if we have nothing to eat...
So I was taught how to grow vegetables. That's why I began farming as a hobby--
Ugh... Shit... !
Yui : (Are these perhaps his memories with the Mukami family... ? No, rather before that ?)
Did you remember Kou-kun and Azusa-kun... !?
Yuma : … Guh... I dunno. What the bloody hell is that... !?
Tumblr media
Yui : (It seems not... But he recovered a little part of his memories)
(His original memories haven't disappeared... They're still sleeping inside him...!!)
(He may remember. If there's a chance, then surely--)
Yuma : Haa... Haa... It finally cools down...
Yui : Yuma-kun, it would be best to lie down today... Okay ?
Yuma : Y-Yeah...
Yui : (Kou-kun, Azusa-kun... I would like to save them immediately, but even if they escape now, they'll surelly get caught again)
Tumblr media
Azusa : Eve... Go. You have to make... Yuma-san rest
Yui : Azusa-kun... Okay... Thank you
(Even with his memories rewritten, Azusa-kun's kind...)
(I will definitely save them. And Yuma-kun, of course--)
Scene change : Scarlet mansion – Living room and Dining room
Tumblr media
Reiji : So no one was able to get any information from these two, in the end
Kino : They're unexpectedly tenacious. Right, Yuma ?
Yuma : Y-Yeah...
Yui : (Yuma-kun still doesn't feel well. I would like him to take a rest quick...)
(I wonder if Reiji-san will give up on getting Kou-kun and Azusa-kun to talk...)
Reiji : I see... This isn't much helpful
Kino : Say, we don't need those guys anymore, right ?
Yui : Eh... !?
Tumblr media
Reiji : Indeed. Shu, please kill them both
Yuma : … !
Shu : Me ? Too lazy...
Yui : P-Please, wait ! Reiji-san, why... !?
Reiji : We can't leave those who are a treat to our family alone no matter what. If we do, we will be at risk
If we can't get any informations from them, there's no need to keep them alive
Yuma : Wait !
Yui : (Yuma-kun...!)
Yuma : There's no reason to kill them. They're stuck in jail so there should be no danger !
Tumblr media
Reiji : It's better to completely uproot sprouts that can become disturbing elements. Am I wrong ?
Yuma : No, but...
Yui : (If we can't counter them right here, Kou-kun and Azusa-kun will... I-If they can be useful for anything--)
… Hostages
We should use them as hostages. We can also use them as shields to fight Carla-san
Yuma : You...
Yui : We should take time to ascertain whether they're necessary or not
If we really don't need them... Then at that time, we should discard them
Kino : Heeh...
Tumblr media
Yui : (That's right, any method is fine. If they live, I'll surely have a chance to save them !)
(There must be something that will shaken Yuma-kun's memories. I won't give up)
(I will absolutely restore Yuma-kun's... No, everyone's memories)
Reiji : Hostages... I see
You have a valid point. It wouldn't be bad to check the situation a little more and think about their use
Yuma : Then... !
Reiji : We'll keep them alive for a moment. Let's think about how we use them and determine an appropriate time
Yui : … !
(Thank godness...!)
Tumblr media
Reiji : Well then, our policies have been decided. Let us dissolve for tonight. Please take a good rest
Kino : Okay okay, I'll take a rest
Shu : …
*Shu and Kino leave
Tumblr media
Yuma : Phew...
Reiji : … Yuma
Yuma : What ?
Reiji : You must be glad to have a good excuse this time. However... There won't be a second time
Yuma : … !
*Reiji leaves
Yuma : Tch... That Reiji guy... He knows and gave me a warning
Shit... Why... ? Why I'm defending these two... ?
Tumblr media
Yui : Yuma-kun... It would be best to rest now. Let's go to your room ?
Yuma : Shaddup ! Don't talk to me now !
Yui : … ! Yes...
Yuma : No... Sorry... It's a mess in my head and I shouted
… You're smart. I didn't think about that hostage stuff
But I dunno if that will save those guys... Why am I helping them... ?
Yui : Well...
… For now, you should go to sleep all night without thinking about it, so you'll feel better
Yuma : Yeah... You're right
*Yuma leaves
Tumblr media
Yui : (Even if I say they’re his brothers, it surely won't reach Yuma-kun)
(But there must be something. I'll absolutely find a way to restore his memories--)
