I’m so tempted to turn one of my url-hoarding sideblogs into a studyblr (specifically for tracking my language learning and holding myself accountable) but wow this might be the worst time to start a new tumblr blog lol

It's hard enough with bills, work and everything else adult life has to throw at you, but now you have a roommate that puts the most valiant himbos to shame... At least he gets his share of the bills done on time.

A three hundred dollar increase was not something you could handle alone, you'd either have to move out or find a roommate and finding this apartment was a battle in the beginning so you would have to simply gussy up and find a roommate to help cover the new rent difference. But that was a problem for later, right now you were exhausted and desperate for some relaxing laziness.

The following week was a mess of posting on most of the sites for finding a housemate or roommate, posting in groups on social media and even posting a flyer or two near your work. There had been a few calls and emails, but none had been promising until you got one very unprofessional email from someone looking to take up the room, they were incredibly laid back in their response to your posting and the only reason you hadn't pushed the offer back like so many other was one key thing they casually dropped in their email.

They were willing to pay three months' rent upfront.

And now here you are, living with the dumbest bull hybrid you have met to date, sure he's handsome and very lovely to be around but...

Nothing is going on behind his eyes, sure they were pretty big brown eyes that he batted at you most evenings after work in (very successful) attempts to get you to cook his protein for him, but he was just so dumb. ITS DONE!! It took forever but it was worth it :D I drew this for my half-baked poolverine au! It’s kind of a post-apocalyptic time skip, and it’s based on 616 Wade and Wolvie, so not from the Poolverine movie >•< I’m thinking of maybe doing a couple more pieces of them in this au :D

AU lore dump/intro (TL;DR at the end):

It’s been decades (maybe even centuries - who’s keeping track?) since civilisation collapsed, and there’s little left but ruins and bones. Shattered buildings, once tall and steady, litter the skyline.

By all accounts, it’s the end of the world.

And yet, Wade Wilson and Logan Howlett still live on. Their healing factors, although not as fast as they once were, still refuse to let them die. Everyone, and everything, they had once known though, is long gone. Taken by the collapse or just the quiet passing of time. But they’ve managed to find each other, and they’ve made it work.

Right after the collapse, Logan spent months alone, furious and hurting at the loss of the people he’d never been able to admit he cared for. He never stopped moving, tracking faint scent trails across near-empty countries, looking for someone, anyone, that he had known before. Looking for those that he didn’t yet know were alive or dead. ‘Ro, Kurt, Laura, Scott - anyone. Well- anyone but Wade Fucking Wilson.

Logan tries getting rid of Wade for a while after they meet. He yells at him, stabs him, threatens him - but Wade clings on like a damn limpet. A loud, overly affectionate limpet. And for the next few weeks, Logan does not know silence. Wade follows him everywhere.

Eventually, Logan just gives up and stops trying to abandon him in a cave somewhere. He even starts sharing his food and water when it becomes clear that Wade has the self-preservation skills of a newly born puppy. And now that he’s not actively trying to lose Wade, Logan starts noticing something weird’s going on with him. More so than usual, anyway. Sometimes he’ll just stop mid-sentence, confused, unsure of what he was talking about or what he was doing. Or he’ll miss a step while walking, and look around like he’s not sure when he’d gotten here. (Think Wade in the Deadpool and Cable comics prior to Nate using his funky telepathic powers to make it better). He asks Wade about it, and gets a messy answer about regenerative healing factors, cancer, and ‘people who keep fucking about with his brain cells’. Logan chalks it up to what happened in the collapse - no one got out of that unscathed.

Once it’s clear that it’s not something Logan can fix with his claws or his tools, he stops asking. Instead, he compensates. They make it work. Logan gets good at giving Wade the rundown of what’s happened that day when Wade forgets, and dragging him back when he wanders off. And Wade knows to pull Logan out of his thoughts when he notices his Wolvie being a bit too broody and standoffish. Wade understands what Logan’s lost, why he’s still looking so desperately for the ones he loved. Wade had lost his own people, though he has no reason to search like Logan. You can’t look for someone you’ve already buried.

And so Logan and Wade keep travelling. Weeks turn into months, months turn into years, and years turn into decades. The little outposts of survivors that they come across get sparser and sparser, until they disappear completely. Green starts taking over shattered concrete and brick, and the rubble of cities gets covered by a layer of moss and brush. Animals begin settling in on top of the remains of what was once human, and it becomes easier to think that maybe people had never walked the earth at all.

And soon, it becomes clear. They’re the only ones left.

TL;DR: A ‘would you love me if I was the only man left on earth’ situation but it’s not hypothetical.

Not so fun fact, his back is messed up because of his tail being chopped. The tail is connected to the spinal cord after all.

He was a BIG gifted child when he was little, he always wanted praise for his accomplishments. Which made alot of the kids around him hate him, and lead to the whole critter scouts thing.

And after awhile he became the exact opposite, he acted up in school for justified reasons but because his teachers wouldn't care to understand and just punished him. They saw him as a trouble child and the kids thought he was a bad kid, so with the change in perspective Petey started to believe it.

Luckily he had Big Jim growing up, he may have been mean to him at the time but nowadays Petey truly appreciates him and wants to apologize for behavior towards him.

Petey HATES getting sick for many reasons but the main one is that it makes him feel weak. So if Dogman or Lil Petey got sick he'll probably be in a hazmat suit before giving them a box of tissues.

Petey believe it or not, has a fixation on robots. AND I MEAN ALL ROBOTS, he would watch robot movies, have robot pjs, robot posters, robots toys on his shelf, robots anything and everything. I was able to show abit of it in my human Petey design with two of his tattoos (one of them being the robot from the day the earth stood still) and him in a transformer shirt. Why else would he make the most mundane things into robots? Cuz they're COOL!

Speaking of which, Petey fucking cried when he heard Opportunity's last words.

Petey gave up on getting an outside job and went freelance, It's not like the job market was that great anyway.

I imagine Petey, to the surprise to everyone but Dogman, is pretty strong. He may look twiggy, but he is an engineer! You NEED upper body strength to do work. Heres a post I made about it

Petey has a depression shaped pit in is bed. He didn't buy that pit, it's something he earned with hard work and so can you. Lil Petey likes loafing in it.

Petey can easily keep working in his workshop for the whole day without eating or using the bathroom if you don't make him take a break. When he's in the zone he forgets he got a body that has needs and can drop dead if he doesn't fulfill those needs.

Petey knew how to cook from his mom but didn't really start cooking till he got Lil Petey. He just ate takeout EVERYDAY cause he was too busy and depressed to cook, and his butler didn't give af to cook for him if he's just gonna to complain. But of course after getting Lil Petey he wasn't going to fed him takeout! So it went from frozen chicken nuggets and apple sauce to homemade pork stirfry and curry rice.

That care in cooking for others also goes to Dogman as well, neither of them had healthy eating habits so they made a deal to help each other in their journey. Dogman would eventually get told by the doctor that he needs to cut the dogfood cause his human body can digest all of that, so Petey is now cook pack lunches for him as well. And personally meals that taste good for his dog tongue, and Dogman gives him the biggest kisses for that.

I'm currently working on a comic for this next one but Petey feels like has no friends. He never just hanged out with any of the gang just to hangout by themselves. He feels like everyone is close friends with each other but not him, they all hang out around him because they're friends with Dogman. And the only reason they knows so much about him is because he trauma dumps on them. But he'll later learn that they do care about him outside of being close to Dogman and they'll hangout and get to know each other more.

Petey has sensitive beans, particularly to the cold. He's gonna be wearing socks and mittens if there's no heating which is funny cause cats usually hate them.

Petey is actually fluffy but just licks his fur down.

He's tail always is bent and not in a normal way but if you crushed paper and tried to lay it back, it still is bent and slowly goes back to that bent form. The only way to make Petey's tail go completely straight is if you surprise him or made him relax to the ninth degree.

Petey still has cat behavior just like how Dogman has dog behavior but unlike him, Petey controls his behavior. He basically masks everyday because of a whole social class stuff I can't explain rn. Cuz he wants to be taken seriously and not just seen as some house pet.

He once made a throne out of boxes and sat in it till Lil Petey or Dogman came back home. No reason for it, he just wanted to feel like a king.

Petey loves midday naps but the sun cuz he's a cat and old. It's true that you'll need more midday naps when you're older.

If I had to give a inuniverse reason for how he understands sign language it's because Petey learned from his mom. When Petey was younger and had a moment where he mad and overwhelmed he would have a hard time explaining his thoughts. Grace taught him sign language so he can explain his thoughts even if all he can verbally do is scream.

When Grace died, Petey was put into adoption and stayed there for a while because of his age and his behavioral problems. But he eventually got adopted by Dr Dilbert Dinkles, he was perfect for his needs, not a child so he won't cry, a cat can take care of themselves and behaving poorly is exactly what villains in training need to be bad. So Petey got adopted by the worst person possible and we know how the rest of the story goes.

Despite that fact that Dilbert is a doctor, Petey had the upper hand on him. He has street smarts, and when you know to build robots and know to use the robots to their full evil potential then you become a true villain to fear.

Petey and Flippy could very well be friends but Petey is literally just holding a grudge against him for some reason? Seriously idk why they're not friends, I think Flippy wants to be friends with him too but it just Petey that's in the way of that in canon. Like- please stop being an ahole for a second and just talk!

Petey also try his hand at gardening... Dogman keeps rolling on his flowers.

I promised lore about Pugsley's kids forever ago but kept forgetting, sorry. Or more like, I kept putting it off because I wanted some sketches to accompany the lore dump, but I don't think I have the time to do that. So, just... Here.

Dante Addams

- Outcast type: Demon

- Mother: was a demon that Pugsley fell in love with but only saw his father as a quick fling. Months after she broke things off with him, Pugsley finds baby Dante left behind on the Addams family doorstep with the note 'Keep him if you want him'

- he's smart and precocious. Vega likes talking to him because they're both intellectuals.

- Pugsley never had the heart to tell him that his mother abandoned him, but he's smart enough to put the pieces together

- just like any Addams, he has a penchant for mischief. His favorite prank is to steal and hide Jasper's legs

- Mother: She never married Pugsley. Because she's a free spirit who loves to travel, they agreed that Jasper is better off in Pugsley's custody(yes she could have just settled down to help properly raise him. No she didn't do that)

- he loves salty food. Salt is typically deadly to a manananggal, but because he's an Addams, the worst it does is give him rashes

- he's a bit of a klutz. He often loses his legs. He sometimes puts them back on backwards.

- he isn't very confident in himself because he thinks his siblings are a lot more impressive than him.

- he's very popular among his peers in school because of his friendly nature

Briar Addams

- Outcast type: The Faceless

- Power: controls fire

- Mother: she was the only one Pugsley married. She died before Briar was old enough to remember her, but Dante and Jasper have very fond memories of her

- she adores her Tia Wednesday and has a petty one-sided rivalry with Vega. She carries around a doll that looks like her cousin so she can stick needles into it.

- Vega, Dante, and Jasper think she's scary. Very cute, but also scary

- she knows sign language, but mostly just gesticulates like Thing when she communicates. She's a girl of few words anyways.

- she's also very smart but hates school

- she just creeps people out. As a kid, it's initially just because of her appearance. As she gets older, she does things on purpose to make people uneasy around her.

I'll make another post for lore about Sora's parents and Regine's mom later. Maybe tomorrow.

TAILS GIJINKA BREAKDOWN!

FINALLY!! i put together some tails gijinka/humanized stuff LOL!! see below for some goodies and an in depth (kind of indulgent) breakdown!!

thisss gijinka is packed with headcanons LOL.. beware!! for starters...hes just a little guy!! i took visual inspo from markl (howls moving castle) and simon (gurrenn lagann)!! mostly simon bc i find a lot of similarities between him and tails.. short and unassuming shy boys who are also compassionate and brave!! (isn't it also awesome how simon and tails both have an older brother figure who encourages them to be brave.. 💥💥🤯 and they both have some sort of space opera and id go on but thats spoilers!!) i also went with a prosthetic leg to kind of represent his tail!! i think it could parallel to how tails' tails can act like a mobility aid, and he'd get the opportunity to tinker and repair them too!! it could also possibly correlate to how tails makes something he was picked on and bullied for, his tails, and uses it to his advantage! and again tying in his interest for mechanics and being able to customize and repair it is a concept that i find neat!! (maybe some inspo from fullmetal alchemist.. bahahaha..)

speaking of customization. i also love the idea of him covering them with stickers!! i've already added tails' own emblem on there but this has prompted me to look into adding some more!

(sorry that im singling you out again @tornado1992 LMAO i just loved your input!!) but i also love the hc that tails gets hand me downs from sonic!! for instance his gloves.. ik theyre not directly from sonic but it is such a sweet detail that tails has a rubber band around those oversized gloves to mimic sonic! and tails definitely has the means to make his own fitted gloves yet he still has those bands on in his modern models!! auhgh!! so yes.. lets say the hoodie is so oversized and oozing with swag cause it originally belonged to sonic! :-) maybe tails likes it so much that he designs the cyclone after it!! just some ideas... more depth into his clothes: i drew a lot of inspo from already existing tails-related designs!! the main outfit i draw him in is a large short-sleeve hoodie with some elements pulled from the cyclone and tails' racesuit design from sonic speed simulator! he also has his goggles and shoes from sonic riders, with some slight details added on!! see below for a better look at the outfit LOL

(the pins on his crossbody bag are a fly-type emblem, a mint, and a red star ring! theres also a sonic keychain that i keep forgetting to add/switch out with the fly type emblem LOL)

yes i did make a classic design for him!! his younger hair is more of that nice vintage orange-yellow but as he gets older itll turn amber then maybe gold? i was also thinking he dons some red clothing to reflect his admiration for sonic but later starts implementing his own style with some grays and blues!!

i'll also point out that i lean into more of a space-pilot design instead of the usual aviator pilot!! tbf i was raised on sonic x season 3 which is just a huge space opera.. 😅😅 but i still do love the aviator pilot concept!!

They were eventually seen leaving together. They were apparently very close to each other, and Y/n even held Pedro's arm as they left. That's cute.. but not enough, come oooooooooon

Gladiator is premiering and, well obviously Pedro is here because he literally is in the movie. But, wait- who is that on the carpet just a few meters behind Pedro? Is that Y/n? Oh yes that's her! Wearing a very tight red dress with some gold lines, matching the topic of the movie. But what is she doing here? During one interview she said that the cast invited her. We do think it was one particular person who did.. Luckily enough we got a picture of them together. They do look good together.

Pedro published a photo dump when he was on the set of Gladiator, and we couldn't help but notice a certain woman in the background of one of his picture. It might seem like a simple landscape picture, but further in the front, there is.. Y/N??? Yes that's her! To connect this, a while ago, might have been when they were actually on set, Y/n posted the same landscape on her story. We did not forget. She apparently visited him on set! What a coincidence

The pictures shows a wedding of one of her friends, a beautiful landscape in New-York at night, a picture of an arena with people dressed as gladiators, a picture of dogs- wait, did you say a pic with gladiators? Love in the Big City: A Proposal to Extend the Discourse

Many of us have been anticipating this full length drama adaptation of the beloved novel by Sang Young Park for months, and when you watch the trailer above, you can see why: this is a queer story through and through, written semi-autobiographically by a queer man in South Korea about his own experiences, and then lovingly and determinedly made into a live action drama to bring his story to more people. It's a landmark show in the Korean media landscape; nothing of its kind has been made before. And that is exactly why the show is drawing harsh backlash before it even airs. It's too honest, too heartfelt, too steeped in empathy and understanding for the nuances of the queer experience in a suppressive society, and that scares people who want to continue shoving queer folks back in the closet.

As a result of this backlash, the story, which mirrors the novel by being structured in four parts with a different director and focus story in each set of two episodes, is being released in one giant episode dump to ensure that it all makes it onto air. Sang Young Park himself confirmed that conservative groups in South Korea are trying to prevent this show from being seen, and he is fighting to keep promoting it and will ensure its release on October 21st. It will air on TVING in South Korea and on Viki for the international audience.

The best thing we can do to fight back against this kind of censorship is to watch the show loudly, to write and make art about it and celebrate it, and to do that for more than just a couple days. Earlier this year, @bengiyo and I started the Love in the Big City book club to read the novel with friends in anticipation of this drama's release. For four weeks we coordinated weekly discussion posts to correspond to each part of the story, and we intend to do the same with the show. Given what's going on with attempts to suppress this story, I want to open up that invitation beyond those of us who are participating in the book club to include anyone who wants to watch and talk about this show, regardless of whether you've read the novel.

So here's the proposal:

Beginning Monday, October 21st when the show drops, we'll each watch the show on whatever cadence we like (personally, I will be watching two episodes at a time with breaks in between, because that is how it was made and intended to be seen)

Regardless of when we each actually watch it, we will post weekly starting on Mondays about each part of the story in turn. So the week of October 21st we will post art and meta and reactions to Part 1 (episodes 1 and 2), and each subsequent week we'll post about the next part (or each set of two episodes).

Ben and I will also write up and post book club discussion questions each Tuesday that will be more about the adaptation to live action and comparisons to the novel. Anyone who has read the book is very welcome to respond to those even if you haven't been in book club with us previously.

My hope with this proposed schedule is that we can keep discussion of the drama alive for a solid month and give it its full due. Tumblr is a crucial part of the fandom ecosystem and I want to do our part to ensure this show isn't buried. This is a complex story with so much nuance, and if we binge and forget about it in a few days, we cannot do it justice. I want to support Sang Young Park and so many others whose stories have been forced under wraps by this kind of oppression, and I would love it if you all would join me.

Alright the one shot as promised! I hope you all enjoy it!

For the past two years, Paige and I had been quietly building a life together while keeping it low-key on social media. It wasn’t that we were hiding; we just preferred to let people wonder. The occasional soft launch—her hoodie on me in an Instagram story, my hand visible in her post-game meal pic—had fueled plenty of speculation, but we never confirmed anything.

But this past week changed things.

Paige had sprained her knee during the January 5th game. It wasn’t serious, thank God, but her coach had benched her and banned her from practices to ensure she healed fully. That left her with more free time than either of us were used to, and she spent most of it at my apartment, lazing on the couch with her leg propped up.

“Coach is going to regret this,” she joked one evening as we watched a movie. “I’m getting too used to being pampered by you.”

“Pampered?” I snorted, handing her a cup of tea. “You’ve been milking this injury for all it’s worth.”

“And you love it,” she said smugly, taking the mug and flashing me a grin.

I rolled my eyes but didn’t argue. Having her around more often was nice, even if it meant dealing with her teasing 24/7.

By the time January 15th rolled around, Paige was cleared to play in the UConn vs. St. John’s game. She was practically bouncing with excitement, even as I made her promise to take it easy.

“I’m not going to push it,” she assured me, pulling me into a quick hug before heading to campus. “But I’m not sitting out any longer than I have to.”

“Just don’t forget who made your recovery bearable,” I teased, poking her side.

“How could I forget? You’re my favorite nurse,” she said with a wink before disappearing out the door.

That evening, I watched from the stands as Paige played like she’d never been injured. She wasn’t at 100%, but her movements were sharp, her energy infectious. UConn won, of course, 71-45 to be exact and I cheered louder than anyone else as she jogged off the court with her teammates.

After the game, I was scrolling through my photo gallery, deciding what to post. It had been a while since I’d done a photo dump, and I had plenty of new material: blurry candids of Paige from the past week, a shot of my coffee from earlier, and a cute mirror selfie I’d taken that morning.

As I uploaded the photos to Instagram, I included one of Paige and me kissing—something I’d meant to keep private. I was too distracted tagging locations and adding captions to notice until it was too late.

When I refreshed the post, my heart dropped. There it was: a clear shot of Paige holding my face as she kissed me, her other hand resting on my waist. And the kicker? I’d tagged her.

“Crap,” I muttered, staring at my phone in horror.

The comments were already rolling in:

@yourusername: Oh, because I’m the one who’s been hinting for two years? Sure, Paige.

@paigebueckers: Don’t deflect! This is a hard launch! A HARD LAUNCH!!

The back-and-forth continued, drawing more attention to the post. Fans and friends chimed in, most of them thrilled by the revelation.

“Are you serious?” she asked, her voice somewhere between exasperated and amused.

“Dead serious,” I said, trying not to laugh. “Look, I didn’t mean to post it, but...is it really that bad?”

She sighed dramatically. “No, it’s not bad. It’s just...sudden. We’ve been low-key for so long.”

“Too long,” I pointed out. “And the reaction’s been good so far.”

“I guess,” she said, the smile in her voice now evident. “But if anyone asks, I’m telling them you planned this.”

“Deal,” I said, laughing.

By the next morning, the post had gone viral, with news outlets and fan accounts picking it up. Paige leaned into it, sharing the post to her story with the caption:

"Well, the cat’s out of the bag. @yourusername, you’re lucky I love you."

I reshared her story with my own caption:

"Love you too, drama queen 💕."

From that moment on, there were no more soft launches—just the two of us, unapologetically in love and finally out in the open. And honestly? It felt perfect.

Batman (and Oracle) finding out Nightwing is dating Starfire again

I was going to take this another route leaning more towards comedy, but then thought how would Batman truly react to it. He would have his misgivings, but not be mad since Starfire isn't a villain. Barbara and Dick did date in my stories, but that love soon showed it was more platonic and the two went back to being friends finding that was the best option especially once the physically attraction Barbara had fizzled away lol. This is for my ao3 fanfic. It won't get much traction cause it's so long and written like a script, but when I do post it on ao3 it'll be written in a chapter format.

Batman: Put your phone away.

Nightwing (apathetic, texting): No.

Batman: Did you forget who I am?

Nightwing: How could I? You use it as both a defense and an excuse when you’re not announcing yourself.

Nightwing: No one is here except us and Oracle listening in. When we have to deal with the latest villain of the week, I’ll put my phone away.

Batman: I’m letting that snide comment go. Since you remembered I am Batman and your father again will ask you to put your phone away.

Nightwing resumed silently texting, occasionally letting out a soft laugh. Batman crossed his arms, running through the possible people the hero could be texting that left him distracted from focusing on working.

Batman: Who is she?

Nightwing: What?

Batman: Don’t “what” me. You’re dating someone, and this new fling is making you distracted enough to text while working.

Nightwing: Being a superhero can have breaks in between.

Batman: That doesn't answer my question. Who are you dating?

Nightwing paused texting, turning away slightly and not responding.

Batman: Are you back together with Oracle? If so, I beg you to not make it as annoying like you two did the last time.

Oracle (on the comms, teasing): He wishes he could handle me a third time!

Nightwing (smirking): No, don't worry. I wanted her, but that fizzled out like soda left out in the hot sun for two days.

Batman sighed, crossing his arms.

Batman: Stop it and tell me who it is. Your behavior suggests it’s someone you’ve been with in the past. I’ve noticed it all this week, but I assumed it was some other kind of good news. No one is around, so just tell me who the lucky girl is.

Nightwing: I’d rather keep this secret for a—

Nightwing's phone pinged three times. He checked the messages and nodded.

Nightwing (reading aloud as he sent replies): Those are perfect for you. And send... Um, they sent me pictures of the outfits they purchased. Nothing dirty.

Batman: That’s good to know. Nightwing, this conversation is clearly important enough that you can’t focus on patrolling Gotham. I’m asking nicely, who are you dating? I won’t be mad.

Nightwing groaned, keeping his back to Batman.

Nightwing (whispering): Starfire.

Batman: What?

Nightwing (coughing): Starfire.

Batman (mishearing): Lars Friar?

Oracle (shouting through the comms): HE'S DATING STARFIRE AGAIN!

Batman hid his surprise hearing Nightwing moan nervously and cover his face. Batman took a deep breath to maintain his usual stoic attitude.

Batman: Oh, Star—Star—Starfire? The alien princess who fights with Red Hood? The one who used to wear basically fig leaves as a hero suit? The one you dumped years ago?

Nightwing (turning to face Batman): Yes, she doesn’t dress like that anymore, and if she did, that’s her choice. She looks amazing regardless. And yes, we reconnected, fought together, and fell back in love.

Oracle (cooing): The lovebirds are back together.

Oracle’s laughter made Nightwing and Batman exchange the same annoyed expression.

Oracle: During my younger, blindly infatuated years, I would have been jealous and sobbing my eyes out, but I’m happy for you two. Congrats, Don Juan.

Nightwing: That don wishes he was me. Batman, how are you handling this?

Batman (mentally reasoning if this was good or bad): Currently processing… For now, I’m happy for you both. If she hurts you, I will help you get revenge, but I’ll reserve judgment until I get to know her more.

Nightwing: You already got to know her.

Batman: Yeah, I didn’t like her. But if she’s making you smile, I can… put aside that concern. It’s physically hurting me.

Nightwing: I can tell. Hell must've frozen over; I’ll take it. Want to know how we got back together?

Batman: It’s a slow night. Tell me while we walk.

Nightwing agreed, walking with his father down the street as he recounted the story. Oracle sat back in her seat, eagerly eating popcorn.

Nightwing: Awesome. Remember that evil musician I told you about who was popular in Bludhaven? They're a big part of this story.

yong came relatively easy to me, if it wasn't obvious i did rip gaming from g*nshin's hoodie. i thought the lion hood was Adorable and freaking perfect for what i had in mind for hos character. since the og notes said the fire kingdom is loosely Chinese inspired i basically just kept that. i mashed tgt a buncha diff dynasties though sorry for how inconsistent i was... i think he looks Okay. anyways i changed yongs role a bit, ill explain why im adjusting some of their roles later but i kept yong as the Jinx Type character. hes the eldest in his family and has a buncha younger siblings, hes a lion dancer and does performances w his family/siblings. he rly like special effects n keeps tryna incorporate his fireworks into their performances (it flops and he has to sew up the dmg) ill explain more of yongs role in another post maybe shrugs... miss nuru was a bit of a struggle for me i might share my full design process with her coz i did a Bunch of mockups for her😭😭😭... i didnt have a specific country of reference for her but i chose to make her vaguely south asian inspired. i also really wanted to keep the sheer fabric w the star / constellation map. i love that idea its so cute so shes still technically the navigator. but she also wields a sword too, fencing or whatever. (her and varian r Huge Cass fangirls which is probably why she started tryna use a sword (snuck out to watch cass compete) Okay ill talk abt this later) in my head, okay ill Probably make a whole nother post talking abt how im interpreting/writing each chara, but in my head i think nuru is the youngest and her kingdom's archivist. shes mostly in charge of like Her kingdoms history / artifacts / etc. ok im getting too side tracked ill save the lore dump for later but thats Nurus role in the party. uhm below i made their character stats mostly to help me with planning / role developing. the yellow is their base stats the color behind is their end stats i guess. i was gonna explain my reasoning for their stats but ermm this post is kinda Really long so sorry😭... varian max int for obvious reasons, also max charisma just coz i feel like u kinda learn a thing or two being around a couple manipulators and spending time in jail idk shrugs... (also lets not forget the "ud b surprised what ppl would do for a cookie!") Hugo slippery guy, if a brick is thrown at him as hes running hes gonna try n run faster to shatter it, his mindset is Run Run Run! i think hes relatively agile too but yeah mostly a Speedster. i think he n varian got no Physical strength varian maybe just like A little coz Farm boy but I rly doubt quirin is making him do a Lotta heavy lifting. yong has incredible stamina and agility because hed a performer. nuru is the strongest coz this team would literally Flop without a proper Offense😭... i think varian n hugo r able to outwit plenty of their opponents but i think nuru is pretty good in a fight, same w yong.
