Been thinking about Sun's voice lines again, and the "Attention! This carousel is out of service and will require repairs before we open tomorrow. ... That is the end of my instruction! If I had been programmed with the knowledge to fix it, it would've already been done," lines strike me as so funny. 'Cause like. It implies to me that Fazbear cared enough to keep even the briefing material on-brand with animatronic voiceovers, so they had Sun record the carousel how-to because he was associated with it (or associated with Fall Fest which was the closest they could get), but then they didn't actually tell him what to say or how to instruct, just like,

"Hey Sunman come record the maintenance briefing for the carousel."

And Sun's like, "Sure thing!" thinking they're gonna give him a script or something. And then they just. Set him in front of a microphone and say "go." And Sun's irritated 'cause if they're gonna give him a job they should give him something to work with. But they don't. And those lines are what we get. Brief, unhelpful, and very passive-aggressive. It's so funny to me.

So, I know I'm a little (very) late to the AvA stuff, but I was rewatching AvM Season 3 for the seven hundredth time and, well, I noticed something and I'm curious to know if it's been discussed before.

AvM Episode 29, Purple's story, specifically, Pink's death.

Her color changes as she dies, or is represented to have died.

It fades to grey.

Now, the question is, can we, or rather should we, use this to infer anything lore-related? Was this just an artistic choice to depict the act of becoming unhealthy/dying, or could this be what actually happens to stick figures that die over a period of time? Are their colors linked to their health?

Let's have a bit of fun with it, and presume that the fading of one's color can happen to a stick figure for health-related reasons, as the scene could imply.

This fading seems to involve loosing the saturation of one's color into grey. Saturation is how vibrant a color is, and the complete lack of saturation is greyscale.

The World-of-Alan reason for Pink's death is that she 'got sick', which is where the health connection of this theory comes from. If she did loose her color as she was dying as the notes depict, that loss of color was likely a result of her failing health rather than any other factors, like age or outside variables. A whole bunch of human body stuff are indicators for good vs poor health, including skin color (jaundice and cyanasis are good examples) so why not a stick's color for them?

What if, when they fully die, they lose all of their original color?

Now, let me propose this…

Who else do we know of who has had their color loose vibrancy?

What if Victim's color has lightened because he's ill?

I kind of made him look like victor and Henry's lovechild LOL. Though basing it off Henry more. I think it's silly and gay but also if I go down the route of how when victor saw Clerval it brought with him memories of home and his family, and the fact that the creature destroys that one by one is very silly to me.

Here's something from the drafts that I also yapped with Cal about:

Something that I noticed a bit too late with Hunter's color palettes is that compared to his Golden Guard uniforms which were majority yellow and neutrals, his casual TTT outfit has not only yellow (his main color) but also blue added by his pants and red added from Flapjack, his shoes, and the patches/watermelons on his pants depending on the fit

Apart from his changes being clear from his outfit alone (like he's clearly in comfort clothes and not a uniform), the color palette speaks a lot to his evolution as well, because these are primary colors. The yellow goes from prestigious gold to just... a color. A color that, when paired with the red and blue he has gained in TTT, is considered a color palette that is often associated with children or childhood

Which makes me realize that yeah, this is representing him finally being able to just be a kid and not a solider who had limited control over his identity and self-expression. But more than that is the fact that you can make any other color with the three primary colors. His color palette shows that although he's just starting to heal and doesn't quite know who he is just yet, he now has the resources and support to mix things up and make new colors and figure himself out later on. He's not being restricted anymore

And since Flapjack was such a big part of his life, maybe he's actually meant to be orange. You never know

I was just thinking about the fact that in so many Merlin fics, Merlin keeps being an healer/doctor/medic, which makes sense, since that’s how he started his life, by helping people however he could, but now consider this:

Merlin, who has lived so long and more than probably witnessed the deaths of thousands, even of those he loved, cherished and respected. So what if a millennia of life completely flipped his view on what it means to heal and study medicine. What if after all Merlin saw, everything that happened had the opposite effect on him, which means that he stopped trying and left the job to someone else.

Merlin still helps, surely, in the end, it’s in his nature as human, but we can already see how he changed, even only after ten years of being in Camelot and witnessing death after death.

What if he despaired because disease spread and not even his magic could help it, what if his magic decided that humans had to live with their own course of actions and so his magic simply refused to help them, which got Merlin just angry at the prospect of doing this for so many years.

But now take into consideration when Arthur returns:

I believe Arthur would be the healer/doctor/medic this time around.

He would be eager to help everyone he can, because that’s also in his nature, but since he can’t do it anymore in the way he once did, he has to find another path for him, a path that would make him heal too, heal from all the times he killed, instead of helping someone in danger.

Arthur lived a life of death even before Merlin could start to think about killing someone.

Arthur had his hands smeared with blood since he was a child. Being Uther’s son was automatically, in both magical people and peasants’ perspective, who lived under Uther’s tyranny, a sin and a guilt, even before Arthur could pick up a sword.

He did not just kill sorcerers, but he was raised with a mind of a killer of justice. To defend his kingdom, his father, his counsellors, his court and his people no matter what he felt regarding it, was and had always been his main duty.

He was trapped in a murderous cycle, literally, where he couldn’t do anything but raise himself to believe that the only way to help people was to kill them.

On one side, we have a man who spent his life helping people and who got tired of death, and on the other side, we got another man who spent it killing people and still got tired of death.

But to Arthur and Merlin it happened in different ways.

Where Merlin left the responsibility to someone else, Arthur decided to take that responsibility himself, in the hope that maybe, one day, he could bring back to life all those he had condemned for the simple act of living as themselves.

ok, so someone probably pointed this out already but maybe not

idk, maybe it's too obvious but

i wanted to point out these parallel scenes

in season 1 it looked like cecil is being hard on new guardians, but after season 3 (and in general, from how he acts) it's very clear that it stems from him being hard on himself. he deeply cares about people's lives and often blames himself for any lost ones. he's obviously a very pragmatic person, but i think it comes from the time he spent working in the GDA and him observing the reality of the job, being "the guy that saves the world".

still, i believe he's atfected by every live lost, there's just no time and space for any mourning and in general focusing on the individuals. so he tries to at least minimaze the amount of damage caused.

it is also directly stated in the show that he doesn't like how he has to act, but he knows it's the most "logical" given the circumstances.

the decision he's making in the scene above is also parallel to him later deciding to implant the earpiece in mark's head - not ethical, but necessary in his opinion.

and i agree - mark has all the right to be mad at cecil for this in season 3, maybe he could be more understanding, maybe not, don't wanna get into that rn - but i can't help to understand cecil's perspective - he was training mark himself, he knows how he's power has increased and the damage he poses to the world.

still, i believe he cares about mark and debbie.

and since i'm already making a post about cecil - yeah, the decision to keep conquest alive behind mark's back was stupid, but he doesn't know nolan's alive to tell them about viltrum etc, so i also get the decision in a way.

i drew this last night to play around with new ways of coloring/rendering with gradient maps and overlay layers :33 i really like it actually!! it was a lot of fun :DDD and also a small bit of lore and diving more into slasher’s memory issues and depersonalization 🤭🤭 oh how i love using him as my therapy LMAOO

Dorian has always been super specific about his love for Orym.

In the threat scene Dorian says "I care about you more than this" which, I thought before I rewatched the scene, I was misremembering. I thought he really said "I care about you all more than this", making it about the collective, not wanting to leave the group. But no. He said he cared about Orym more than he cared about the crown.

Another thing I thought I misremembered was "no debts between us". For whatever reason I thought Dorian said "no debts between friends" but no. He was very specific with his words and inflections. "There are no debts between us"

"my heart aches that I cannot be there to help you" "sending you fairer winds" "I just like to see you happy" "you're the reason I'm here" "let me comfort you for once."

It has always been about Orym. It has been. It always will be.

what if why we didn’t see the doctor’s primary black-cloaked vessel ingame is because it’s his last resort? what if it’s where his heart is stored? or even where all the last copies of all his vital organs are kept safe?

an active consciousness can still stem from a backup of his brain, which his primary vessel holds. so, after his physical brain goes belly up (literally😭) the network of transmitting consciousness to each of his bots is still active. just transferred to a weaker method.

following the “murder” of dr harley sawyer in chapter 4, perhaps he scrambles back to this old vessel whereever it is. maybe it’s been neglected, a plan B dangerously collecting dust, or it’s sitting pristine in a sterile room on life support. nevertheless, harley finds himself in it after croaking his “last words” mid-transfer, and struggles to breathe. he forgot about this vessel. he’d cast it aside because it held the scars of his initial transfer into machine and the containment that followed. it was his first body. and it was so weak. but now it is his last chance.

however, he’s not properly adjusted to the whole having organs thing, and this vessel needs to be properly taken care of. so with bated breath and the struggle of calming his mind, he summons one of his metal corpses from his brain’s tomb. it takes a few agonizing minutes as it arrives to wherever he is, but eventually it’s close enough that he can actively switch bodies with it. consciousness transferral relies on proximity (this is why we only see the bots around his brain ingame).

revived and disoriented, the doctor must now look after himself. the fact of being reduced to this husk eats away at every atom of his being, but he’s simply too weak. he failed. he failed and he’ll be killed for it. but he’s not afraid.

when the splitting headaches cease and he gets used to being alive he can kill something again.

au idea, ayo?? early titles are ‘mechanized-mind’ or ‘inside-the-mind-of-harley’ or even ‘dry-bones’ but i’m still brainstorming X]. i love putting my characters through emotional agony <33 but this time it’s an au of an existing character i have to analyze to get right so that’ll be fun. now for the drawing, i really like both medical concepts and making stuff up so maybe only some of the function would actually work, but i do not care. the idea was that harley’s primary vessel had a more meshy, detachable plate in his chest to give room for his heart and probably-disproportionately-sized lungs. here that plate is removed in order to help his heart beat. tons of other tubes are wired into his ventilation vents to keep him running to. my running idea for why the sarley hawyer (clone bot, aka secondary vessel) here doesn’t have a cloak is because maybe he had to take it off due to contamination. or it got snagged on the way here. but honestly i didn’t want to cover up the cool anatomy of my neat design i’ve been playing with, so he is naked once again 😔

this was the big flipaclip harley piece i mentioned in this post while trying to animate something. this idea arose instead, and slowly came to fruition as i found an elaborate way to color while listening to some lethal company and ppt 3 & 4 vids. pen pressure is really new to me and i’m on my knees thanking it for this neat coloring texture and technique i will probably never use again 🛐😌🫶 thank you apple pencil ilysm
