Victor’s dreams that came true

After the Living Legend falls in love with Japan’s ace, of course he has a list of dreams involving the love of his life. He hauled up his ass (and Makkachin’s), hightailed out of Russia and pretty much flew all the way to a little seaside town in Japan to pursue his love. Victor didn’t have his wishes granted by a magical fairy godmother. He achieved all of these through patience, perseverance and determination. 

- Sleep with Yuuri Katsuki

After getting flat out rejected on his wish to sleep with Yuuri during his first night in Hasetsu, of course Victor would not give up in pursuit of his love. Poor guy must have had his broken during that night. Though to be fair to Yuuri, he was in a state of mixed up emotions during that time. 

At least Yuuri got past treating Victor like an untouchable god to let these happen: 

Yuuri’s more bothered with the fact if Victor remembered to set the alarm instead of the fact that Victor’s sleeping on top of him.

And then we have this come episode 10. 

THEY’RE SLEEPING BESIDE EACH OTHER AT LEAST. 

- Hug and get hugged by Yuuri Katsuki

For someone who’s offering himself to be his coach, Victor sure is a bit too touchy with Yuuri during his first day in Hasetsu. (It was this point in episode 2 that I started to ship Victuuri)

At least Yuuri learned quickly to return the hugs. 

And this point in episode 9 is both heart-wrenching and heart-warming. simply because the message of “I miss you” is as clear as day.

The advantage of having the love of your life live in a hot spring inn is that you get to see him in his naked glory. And you have a legitimate excuse to seduce him with your own glorious body. And this happens probably everyday.

We all know that the trigger for Victor falling in love with Yuuri is that our tasty katsudon seduced his idol while stone cold drunk. Victor (and everyone else who watched) knows damn well the extent of Yuuri’s Eros during the banquet. As a coach, Victor has to maximize that potential to Yuuri’s advantage. Suffice to say, it worked in his and Yuuri’s favor. 

He never did Yuuri. In fact, VIctor has a suspicious look in his eyes. 

Then it got to this: 

- Get to know Yuuri Katsuki on a more intimate level

I’m no athlete and I never had a coach so take my words with a grain of salt. I don’t think coaches who want to keep the relationship strictly professional would want or need to know their student on a deep, personal level. Yes, your coach could be your friend but they still have a job to do at the end of the day. Things like a student’s medical history is something they need to know since it’s part of the job. However, one of the things they don’t need to know are their student’s romantic history unless it affects their performance. Victor here is certainly curious about Yuuri’s romantic history (or probably lack thereof since Yuuri seems quite touchy with the subject). 

I live in a country where asking these kind of personal questions are the norm but I don’t think it’s the same in Japan and Russia. Personally, I think asking for these kinds of questions is akin to invading someone’s personal space. 

At least Yuuri opens up to Victor in episode 4. Enough to confide in his insecurities and fears. And Victor patiently listens and gives Yuuri the reassurance he needs.

No need for me to explain anything. The picture tells more words than I could ever hope to write. 

- Be Yuuri Katsuki's lover

Let me reiterate that Victor flew all the way from Russia to pursue Yuuri in Hasetsu. This act alone takes a considerable amount of money and effort to pull off. If he simply intended to be Yuuri’s coach, he would have sent Yuuri first an email formally offering himself to be Yuuri’s coach. Then he would have made arrangements to either go to Japan once the deal is finalized or to have Yuuri come to him in Russia. Either way, he would have done them all formally, He would not have made a decision as hasty as suddenly leaving his life in Russia in order to be the coach of a Japanese skater. Plus, he has zero experience in coaching, as Yakov pointed out. Episode 4 implies that Victor has a grasp of what Yuuri is like at that point so he directly asks Yuuri what kind of person he should be in order to make him comfortable. 

Yuuri then gave Victor the best answer: to be just Victor.

As episode 10 reveals, the offer to become Yuuri’s lover is actually no joke since it’s revealed he’s in love with Yuuri the whole time. And Victor eventually got the best option: to be both himself and be Yuuri’s lover. This, I believe, is a serious milestone in any relationship. (Please do not ask me for any relationship advise. I have zero experience in that field. All I’m writing are just opinions backed by logic and reasoning)

I also don’t think a coach would go as far as to tie their student’s skates for them. Yuuri’s a friggin adult. The man can tie his skates by himself. It’s likely that Victor tied his skates voluntarily and Yuuri lets him do it. If this isn’t love, then I don’t what it is. 

Episode 10 shows us Victor and Yuuri basically having a date in Barcelona. Yuuri was the one who suggested it after all. 

Speaking of Barcelona....

- Get engaged to Yuuri Katsuki 

And Victor has to let everyone know that they are, in fact, engaged. 

- Skate with Yuuri Katsuki 

This has been actually Yuuri’s dream initially. But I think that at some point after meeting Yuuri, Victor has shared the same dream. Now, I don’t know whatYuuri means by “skating on the same as Victor”. Does he mean competing with Victor as an equal? Does he mean to skate together with Victor? I think it’s both. 

The only dream that's waiting to come true is getting married to Yuuri Katsuki.
