Oh my god could you elaborate on the vampire au thing id LOVE to know

Thanks for asking!! I‘m notorious for not knowing how to actually write anything story wise so this will be more about how vampires/ghosts fit into their character dynamic! :‘D

For everything vampire my inspiration is always Shiki (horror anime about vampires). I am so intruiged with the questions of morality Shiki raises in an exposition that is so alike novels like The Plague; simple characters with fixed moral alignments that are all neither right or wrong in the face of survival.

The way I see Morro‘s and Cole‘s relationship is VERY roughly based on that of Seishin and Sunako (the Monk and the daughter of the vampire family). So Morro being a vampire in the AU is more of a symbol than anything else. In Cole‘s resignation to let himself be bitten; consumed is his inability to lock away the empathy he feels towards someone he can‘t help but understand.

Vampires in Shiki cannot live without feeding; it is a matter of survival, a precondition to their being. Cole thinks something similar of Morro as he struggles to belong as a ghost around his friends.

Blood, or the color red, symbolises the self, the person he believes he has lost. Morro sees humanity in Cole‘s innate struggle to find himself. That‘s where I find it interesting to connect him to Komiko from Noriko‘s Dinner Table (my favorite movie everrrrr).

Cole is bound to Morro, he thinks of him as Morro thinks of himself: A person reduced down to their will. Morro is frustrated about serving as something to anyone.

And yet as Kumiko does, he settles on a very absolute world view. Like rabbits and lions; Morro‘s belonging was in being a rabbit, defaced.I bring this quote up every single time, but here it is again.

„A rabbit, a suicide, a killer, evil, water overflowing from a glass. I‘ll be what no one else wants to be.“

He is a tragedy, a killer, evil, scheming, cruel, yearning. Anyone he needs to be at the moment.

But to Cole he is a will trashing around at the realisation he has nothing at all. He feels the way he struggles with himself will lead him down the same path.

In desperation he lends himself to Morro, thinking: I‘ll be whatever you like me to be.

Oh and maybe about ghosts in general: I like the thought of them just merging. One of my fav movies is Tetsuo the Ironman I am like SO into all things merging especially if it’s like a figurative funger abominable marriage type thing. I am a huge horror fan.

Maybe Morro is also hungry as shit because he can only drink ghost blood and now that he‘s out of the Merged realm he‘s hungryyy. Like imagine he’s just like overjoyed about possessing Lloyd bcs he has so much human blood to drink. Plus I like the concept of Morro literally sucking the humanity out of Cole. And then instead of killing him instantly as it would normally he gets his forehead rift and boom Wotd happens??

That would be silly wacky fun.

BTW why would anyone need this🫗?? So random?? If you ask me, the hug 🫂 emoji is truly so underrated- it’s wholesome, it’s simple and looks kinda neat. Gets the point across. 10/10 in my books.

I'm only productive today because I have a four day weekend lol so I'm writing on here instead of doing the assignments that I have due in next week.

I'm all caught up with requests now, which is a bit boring. I'm honestly classing you as my best friend on here, I have better conversations with you than I do with some of my friends in real life.
