Athena Analysis complete! I started by stating the essential defining aspects of her character, pulled out some of the language she uses, and finally listed more in-depth relevant traits. I couldn’t fit them all on the document, but every point has a quote to back it up, so if you’d like to know what evidence I have for a certain point, just ask! Hello! Mind if I send in a request? I'm not sure how familiar you are with Sanrio, but how about some headcanons for the Hotarubi boys + Alan, Luca, and Kaito with a reader that's like Wish Me Mell.

In case you don't know, Mell is a bit shy, a bit clumsy, but she's very kind, and her heart is always in the right place. She enjoys collecting stamps and writing letters. Mell is considered a bit disorganized and a scatterbrain, but despite that, she has a kind and loving heart for everyone

Hotarubi boys + Alan, Luca, and Kaito with a reader that's like Wish Me Mell.

(So sorry this took me a while, I wanted to make sure I got the character’s personality fully. So I did more research, because I wasn’t confident in myself 😅. I do hope you enjoy this💙)

Haku:

When Haku first met MC. He noticed a few things about them. They were a bit shy and clumsy. So clumsy that when they first met and got off the train. MC accidentally tripped over their own feet and slammed right into Haku. They apologized profusely, Haku chuckled. He found it cute and adoring. As he got to know MC. He found more of this cute personality of their’s

•MC once came to Hotarubi to give him a document that had a mistake. When they got there, they have completely forgot why they were there. When they admitted that, Haku reminded them that they have told him about the documents. “Oh! Right, sorry hehe.” MC pulled out the documents and hand it over

•After Haku looked it over and signed it. He handed it back to MC. When MC was leaving…they accidentally tripped over nothing and fell. They were okay, but it worried Haku a bit.

•Haku always told MC to be careful. But he would also teasingly say. “Falling for me again?” Which caused MC to blush madly

•When MC comes over to relax and have some tea with Haku. They have gotten on a subject about working too hard and all. MC complimented him and told him that if he ever needed help. He could count on MC. This warmed Haku’s heart. He placed a hand on their head and thanked them.

•One time MC misplaced their phone somewhere and looked everywhere. Haku was walking in the halls and saw them on the floor in a classroom. He decided to help them. Only to find out that their phone was in their bag this entire time. MC felt embarrassed.

•Haku chuckles every time he’s around them. It’s never a dull moment with them.

Subaru:

MC was walking down the empty hall. When they almost accidentally ran into someone. “Oh! I’m sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” MC stated while apologizing again. Subaru told them that it was okay. When they were going their separate ways. MC accidentally ran into a wall. While blushing madly, they laughed and speed down the hallway.

•Ever since that day, they have bumped into each frequently. Not actually run into each pre-say. Just seen each other on the opposite sides.

•They would smile and say hello to one another.

•Once MC started to work with Hotarubi. They felt relaxed that Haku and Subaru was in this dorm. Especially after what happened with the last dorm..

•Subaru would often invite MC for tea. Once MC held their cup and accidentally let it slipped. The tea was dumped all over their lap. They were embarrassed and apologized. Subaru didn’t mind the mess and asked them if they were okay.

•MC asked Subaru to meet them for lunch. They wanted to ask him something but completely forgot what to was. But Subaru sat next to her and enjoyed lunch with them anyways. After lunch MC then remembered and texted him. It was about tea.

•Subaru feels at easy when around MC. Didn’t have to force himself to be perfect. Though he’s still anxious, he feels that, he can make mistakes and that MC wouldn’t get mad or disappointed.

•Though let’s be honest, if MC freaks out during a case or missing something in their daily lives. This would make Subaru more anxious. So if MC’s calm, he’s calm. Haku has to help both of them

•Subaru also thinks that MC would be able to help his friend Lyca. Lyca has been through a lot and so maybe he’ll learn how to trust MC and maybe others.

•He uses this to learn more about MC. And MC uses them opportunity to know both of them

Zenji:

Zenji accidentally scared MC when they have first met. He wrote a note to warn them, but when they have woken up. He didn’t finish writing it. So it came off creepy and scary for them. But when MC was finally able to see and hear him. He was extremely excited. He would often speak to them with a lot of energy.

•”My sweet beautiful doll! I’m so glad you can see me!” The nickname he have given MC, made MC blushed. They smiled back and said, “it’s so nice to meet you” they spoke in a shy soft voice

•”Your voice is like a soft melody my dear.” This made have caused MC’s heart to race

•Zenji would often compliment them every time he sees them. They would smile and talked to him or listen to his music.

•MC actually likes the passion Zenji has when he composes his music or tells stories

•When MC accidentally hurt themselves, Zenji would freak out a little bit. A worrywart like him would rush to their side and ask them if they are okay

•After finding out what had happened to Zenji, MC wept for him. Such cruel fate for their dear friend. When Zenji saw tears swelled in their eyes. He soothes them. Telling them not to worry and that he is okay and still here. If MC ever needed to talk. They can come to him.

•Zenji adores MC even more after seeing MC cries for him. Not in a sadistic way, but as a, “they care about me” way. He deeply cherishes that. He cherishes them

Luca:

Luca, became more and more protective of MC when he started to spend more time with them. Noticing how clumsy and disorganized they were. Once they dropped their pencil on the floor. Bent down to pick it, came back up and hit their head.

•When walking to the cafeteria, MC tripped over their own footing and Luca caught them. MC thanked him

•MC accidentally forgot their notebook in class, they were freaking out when they couldn’t find it. Luckily Luca had it and gave it back to them. They were relieved. After they have dumped their entire bag on the table

•Luca would keep an eye on them when he’s around. Making sure they don’t accidentally hurt themselves or run into anything. He would grab their hand gentle to pull them aside, away from the wall, person, or any object they weren’t looking because they were daydreaming.

•He had continued to hold their hand until they have reached their destination. Kaito wasn’t happy

•Luca noticed how kind MC was. Especially when MC would calm Kaito down from his melt downs or panics.

•When Luca had gotten into a confrontation with Shu and Leo. It was MC that calmed him down a bit. MC had grabbed one of his hands and rubbed their thumb on the top of his hand. He looked over to MC and noticed a worry look. MC asked him if he was okay. He nodded and took a deep breathe. Though it didn’t last, it definitely helped

Kaito:

When Kaito first spoke to MC. He cried over how sweet they were. Calling them an angel that came to save him. This made MC blushed, shortly after they first time they’ve met. Kaito would fall for her more and more. How? This is how

•MC saw Kaito outside the cathedral. There were stairs and Mc almost fell down it. Kaito helped them by grabbing their hand to support them as the walked down.

•It scared Kaito at first, but he felt like a try gentleman or a knight!

•When in need of rescue, always count on Kaito! He definitely didn’t tell MC that out loud. He did

•There were times where MC showed their appreciation to Luca and Kaito. They would often by sweets or any snacks they knew where their favorites. Kaito would either cry or blush with excitement.

•He falls for them more and more until he hit the core of the earth.

•He would often try to impress MC. Which may or may not caused him to accidentally make a fool of himself. Even though that happens, MC would often encourage him to look on the bright side or encouraged him to keep trying.

•And so he does, so hopefully one day. They would be a couple.

Alan:

MC was extremely nervous about working with Vagastrom. Especially after the whole Sho vs Luca fight. It didn’t help how mean Leo was to them. Alan did however make things a little easier. Then Sho did, but never Leo. So when MC came over. They felt comfortable when Sho and/Alan was there.

•When on the case, Alan made sure to tell them not to enhance his stigma. He was terrified of hurting them. He would put enough space between them.

•While on top of the cliff, MC fell and Alan quickly saved them. He asked them if they were okay. They thanked him over and over again. He wasn’t used to being thanked.

•It warmed his heart, but went back to focus on the case.

•MC told him that they were clumsy and often accidentally hurt themselves so. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.

•This caused Alan to make sure to keep an eye on them. Incase they accidentally get hurt again. He doesn’t mind it though. MC however felt like they were hold everyone back.

•Alan in his own words reassures them that they are doing plenty to help.

•When MC waited outside with Sho. Alan couldn’t stop thinking about their safety. It made him incredibly uncomfortable. Anxious really. When MC screamed and then Sho. He rushed to saved them.

•After he saves them, MC was grateful and smiled gently as they take his hand.

•A sweet gentle smile, from a shy and kind person. Even though they went through a hellish situation. They were still able to smile. That is called strength. He liked that and told them that. In his own words

🍁🌺 KOUJAKU ESSAY 🌸❤

As I mentioned a while ago I started making a compilation of different symbolic elements in Koujaku’s design. I didn’t have planned to make it too long, simply pointing out the different elements, but to be honest it kind of got out of hand.

In summary, I also talk about some key points in his story, his personality, and his relationship with Aoba. I’ve tried to be as canon loyal as possible, but I also speculate when analyzing. I was also doubting if I should be including headcanons, but since I’m already doing speculation which is basically just headcanons, I thought why not.

One of the reasons I made this document was because I had a few KouAo comics I made for myself and wanted to have my references closeby and do some investigation, but after a little while compiling things I thought it would be exciting to share it with others, since I don’t talk to anyone due to shyness. I’d love to share this file slowly in my social media as well and know what you think about what I wrote here, you can let me know via DM, tumblr ask or my strawpage (although strawpage would be only for twitter and bluesky).

I have to add that I have no relation with Japanese culture or the religions referenced, so there can be wrong info. If you notice and you don’t mind telling me I’d love to correct it. Moreover, with this idea in mind my plan is to keep changing this file as needed, either adding or editing what’s being talked about here.

There are also quite several parts that I didn’t really had the intention to include because I thought they were too obvious and I honestly felt stupid explaining certain details, but the fact that I’ve seen more often than not people being dead serious about the most unhinged takes of his character I feel kind of obliged to over explain. There are probably other parts or ideas that I’ll repeat in several places, but it’s hard to avoid given the way that it’s organized. I also wasn’t sure if I should add some of the complaints and critiques I had about his character, or should I say NC (if I sound like I hate them, it’s because I do). I’m doing this out of love for this character and kind of felt wrong to do this, but every single thing that I have a complaint about is because it can be improved and talking about the possibilities and the implications is important in order to have a complete essay about him. I’ll defend Koujaku to death and to be honest most if not all the things that irk about him are NC’s fault anyway. We came here to play. *gets shot

#Couple Therapy

Their reaction ship is a cycle of “-I’m mad, I yell at you, we separate, I feel bad, I forgive you, we love each other again, something ticks me off so-” over and over again.

Arturo actually makes decent meals for them.

Don’t think they go easy on each other if they get intimate.

If either of them has a bad day, the other will hug and comfort them while they cry.

Arturo tries his best to help Ace care for himself.

Arturo also does makeup, Ace has tried it once and he looked kinda funny, which made Arturo laugh.

Every once in a while, Ace steals Arturo’s mask and hides it.

The way I squealed with joy for Aceturo cannot be explained with words. I fucking love Aceturo.

Ace definitly clings to Levi’s leg when he’s bored.

Levi usually makes Ace eat food

Ace and Levi make it a tradition to sleep in together every saturday no matter what.

They either don’t show affection or shower the other in it.

They both get very intimate with each other, especially when they’re both in a good mood.

Levi makes all the clothing they wear, since he refuses to let other people make what he and Ace wear.

This is one of my OPTs, I adore this ship to death.

Eden and Arei always bake cookies together. Arei would decorate them with swear words and Eden would draw faces on them.

Eden always kisses Arei goodnight.

Arei is very defensive of Eden and will do anything to make sure she’s safe.

Arei teases Eden often but the friendly type. Sometimes Eden drops a comeback which makes Arei proud.

When they kiss, Eden’s lips taste like sugar and Arei’s taste like lipstick.

They prefer to keep a romantic relationship, nothing too intimate.

The amount of hate these two get for being lesbian. Eden stays silent and Arei yells at them.

Charles and Teruko sleep in different rooms

The two of them order doordash because neither of them can cook.

Teruko is usually the one to start a conversation, Charles ends it

They keep their relationship purely romantic, with no sexual stuff.

They have a small bird named Kiki. She’s a Conure.

David is usually the one who takes the initiative when it comes to intimacy, of course, he never goes rough.

Nico usually makes meals for the two of them. David will sometimes have to drag Nico into the shower with him so they can get clean. Man, I’m all for rare-pairs and I think this ship is cute <3

Veronika and Arturo go on a lot of shipping sprees for fashionable clothing, with Ace having to carry everything.

Ace and Veronika agree to share Arturo, and Arturo watches in confusion.

Ace definitely loves it when Arturo hugs him. He sees it as a special occasion.

Veronika gives Arturo little pecks on the cheek and head pats Ace.

Ace is a rough kisser, Veronika goes a bit lighter, and Arturo gives light kisses.

They all have bracelets with each other’s names on them. FUCKING LOVE THIS POLYCULE.

They usually don’t talk with each other, instead, they write little notes for each other.

They have three cats, Tractor(a Canon Cat), Lily(A grey cat), and Soju(Brown with white splotches of fur).

Nap times are common.

Teruko usually drags Nico to baths and showers.

They take baths together and splash each other in the process.

If either one of them gets hurt, the other gets very defensive. They definitely enjoy their intimate time together. This is a ship I’ve never seen before, personally I headcanon Arei as a lesbian but I’m all up for rare-pairs!

Whit makes the meals for the two.

Xander actually confessed to Whit the day before Valentinesday, since he knew Whit disliked the holiday.

Whit showers Xander with affection and Xander does his best to do the same.

They definitely enjoy their intimate time together.

Whit calls Xander “Xanxan”, and Xander calls Whit “Muffin” just because it’s cute.

Veronika is very intrigued by Teruko’s luck, even if that means she’s getting into a lot of trouble due to it.

Even if she doesn’t show it, Teruko loves Veronika dearly.

The two of them are very intimate with each other, Veronika always starts it and they switch around. Both of them exploring each other.

Veronika works at a movie production studio and Teruko is the main actor.Teruko learned how to write just so she could write love letters to Veronika. Man, I love this ship sm. It’s honestly adorable to me.

Hello renowned writer, first let me express my appreciation for your writing. The characterization, the dialogue, the smut which is world-class and never ceases to amaze me. You made me smile and you made me cry, and my world is better for having your fics in it 💛 🤗

If you don't mind, could you please shed some light onto your writing and planning process? It is totally okey if not of course.

How do you plot out your ideas and fics? Especially the long ones? Do you have everything planned out before sitting down to the first chapter? Do you have just general milestones? Or do you have detailed notes for all the scenes? 😅

Is there anything from the notes you would be willing to share? 🙏

Right now I struggle with the level of details I hit in my outlines. I tend to have a general idea about the big building blocks but the concrete shapes of it get to me when I'm close enough to writing them. This means I can't post as I go because everything needs so many revisions to be consistent and paced right.

i don't have one consistent answer across the board. it definitely depends on the kind of fic i’m writing, and how long i’ve been thinking about it. 

i’ve found that over planning fics really fucks me up. i get too caught up in trying to follow my plans to a T, that i stunt my own creativity and my scenes don’t have a natural flow. i ran into this problem a lot with my dando fic that was supposed to be 100k+ and only ended up being 30k lmfao. the plan and headcanons are fucking incredible (still even reading them back now im like wow this is the best thing i never actually wrote) but because they were so good and so thought out, it was impossible to write them. because i felt like i had already written them, but in discord conversations with bailee lmfao. in my head, that fic was already complete. even though there was only 30k actual words in a google doc. 

so i’ve found it much easier for me (personally) to just... sit down and write. 

sometimes when i don’t overthink things and just go into a fic blind, i come up with really amazing things on the fly. 

my fic Vapor, for instance, had a vague “ideas” document that was MUCH different than what i actually produced. it was going to be a slow burn enemies to lovers fic. but when i started writing it, and i got to the first club scene (which was only supposed to be them running into each other) i thought “lmfao what if i had them hook up here?” and suddenly the fic went a completely different route. and i’m glad i listened to myself and not my Ideas doc, or i don’t think it would have been as good as it ended up being. 

but that’s not always the case. 

for fics like Long Live that required a complex timeline, i had a separate doc that i put all my research and ideas in. it was a google doc with bullet points, pictures, and ages. sometimes the bullet points were simple, like “charles wins in monza, he gets drunk in a club and they fuck” (lmfao) and sometimes they were line after line after line of conversational dialogue that i would think about while walking my dog and the whole conversation ended up in the actual finished work, word for word. 

so, really, it depends on what i’m writing. 

i’ve found that when i write a long fic, i’ll usually have 1 or 2 scenes that i KNOW i want to write that happen later on in the fic, and everything else before that is like “okay how do i get to that scene????” and the fic kinda builds itself that way. 

when i write a short fic, it’s more like... “okay, what’s the plot? lets go.” and the story writes itself. 

i’m not sure how helpful this was, but i’d be glad to keep rambling about my writing process if you’d like!

Q & A: Birbs R' Scary

I should clarify that all Q and As are being answered specifically within the plane variant headcanon, unless the question specifies the humanized variant, or I add a [clarified] section of it’s headcanon to the end of the answer. Yes, the plane and human versions are vastly different, this is why they’re being separated as such. What is a distinct part of one headcanon may not even exist in the other (ie Dusty’s epilepsy).

*also, this doesn’t mean I won’t take humanized-variant questions here too, just like I said, clarify that the question is for that particular sub-universe.

[Anonymous] Bandit asks: Does Blade play fight with them, if he’s like a predator (even as evolved as he is) wouldn’t he have some fight instinct? So would he play fight?

Though I doubt the ol’ bird would now, given his age and more importantly his dignity, I will say he definitely did growing up - especially when you take into account that he was the oldest of four kids!

I also think he played/sparred a lot with Nick back in the days of CHoPs. I mean, they were both young hotshots who thought they were all that, not to mention Nick was also a very energetic one, even by helicopter’s standards. Now, given my headcanon, I think we all know where said play-fights might end up (smirkity smirk), but regardless I think they did still enjoy shoving matches in which Nick was vastly outweighed.

(...no like seriously, Nick is a ninth of Blade’s weight…)

And Dusty has probably attempted to play with him, but I fear that was to very limited success. By the time they’ve even bonded that well, they’d been through the hell that was the park fire and the events of Emergency, of which no one gets to leave unscathed.

[Anonymous] Bandit asks: Do they deal with wild predatory animals up there, and if so do they ever come on base? Do Cabbie and Blade have to chase them lol

Well not so much mammals since they aren’t around anymore, to the best of machinekind’s knowledge, but they have been needing to deal with snakes in the garage, birds building nests in the roof, and of course various insects. While it’s definitely better than bears and coyotes by our human standards, it’s admittedly pretty funny considering aircraft don’t know what to make of any organic beings, so something as simple-minded and harmless as a Robin is just…very perplexing to them, borderline frightening because they’re not sure what to expect from it. Even Blade and Cabbie have been known to flinch from the reemerging organics, simply out of distrust of their intentions.

Tanel asks:Would Skipper still interact with Dusty if he chose not to race anymore and to be full time firefighter? What would he do with him then?

Oh absolutely, they’d be in contact no matter where Dusty goes in his life. They’ve bonded like family, to the point he will come to Skip with problems he wouldn’t even come to his own family about (and Blade, but that’s about something very specific that I’ll remain vague on because it might just be a coming story for the [unposted, still] 2021 ‘Props to the Proppies’ series).

I do think that if Dusty went full-time firefighter (and, I presume out of the question, worked at Piston Peak full-time) that they’d have a lot less time to actually be together, but I don’t think that would stop them from getting to communicate. If he was a full-time firefighter in Propwash though, then that wouldn’t be much of an issue. :P

Ah, to that first one I’m only gonna hold off on any answer because that whooole thing will be gone over next Tidbit! As requested in mass, Skipper will be getting a chapter of his own coming next! ;P

As for the next one, weeell...Skipper’s a bit of a softie anyways (shh, nobody is supposed to know this) so I doubt that, even had he not taken Dusty under his wing as his instructor, he wouldn’t have shot him down. It’s not like he’d necessarily deserve the cold assault. XD

Ripslinger isn’t mean in his own eyes; he’s entitled. He’s grown up under the belief that he is right and cannot be wrong, so therefore he has the means of justifying anything he does as “not mean”, because he’s just making everyone else know his [right] opinions/decisions, and not bothering with everyone else’s wrong ones.

Example: Dusty tries to race. Ripslinger thinks a crop duster is not a racing plane and shouldn’t race. This is right, in his eyes. The fact that Dusty continues to race after he has told Dusty he can’t is wrong to him, which is his means of justifying everything he does afterwards! It also evolves overtime from “you don’t belong in the racing circuit” to “you’re threatening my ability to be the best” which is why he moves to such extremes towards the end of the film.

Yes. Ripslinger is fucked up. But there are reasons to explain why he is fucked up, and (if I get enough votes, nudge nudge) I may be willing to put time into a Tidbit for him to explain more of those means of ‘why’.

Tanel asks: Would Skipper actually murder Ripslinger if he saw him seriously hurting Dusty or would he be able to contain himself?

It would depend on the severity of the situation, me thinks. If it was Dusty and Rip cussing each other out (ie verbal assault, not physical) there’s no doubt he would get involved, but not to kill Rip. He would be more likely to just diffuse the situation. Now, if such a thing escalated into a real fight, with all the biting and wing-slapping and tussling (like you do) he’d definitely go in full-force to break it up.

Still though, I don’t think it would ever be in Skipper’s intentions to want to kill Ripslinger. Killing someone even in the act of self-defense is still killing someone. He feels he’s done too much of that already in his war days, and tries to be more of a pacifist when he is able. I think the only scenario where he’d actually have Ripslinger killed is if he posed an immediate threat to his and/or Dusty’s life, in an environment where there wasn’t outside forces helping (ie police, spectators, etc).

Even still, Skipper would probably only wish damage enough that he would no longer be a threat, or where another can remove him from the situation.

Tanel asks:Does Blade and his team actually exist or is he just part of Dusty's imagination since he never truly woke up from the crash into ocean and instead is still in coma to this day?

Okay this is honestly a really cool theory, and I totally support this theory as an AU to play around in! That said though, going off of my headcanon, it’s not actually a thing. XD

Nope, Blade and Dipper and Windlifter and Maru, and all the rest of the Piston Peak Air Attack team, are very real to Dusty. As was his gearbox malfunction in the Planes versions, as much as it is the epilepsy in his humanized one.

A/N: Hello! I have risen from the dead and my very first post in over a year will be dedicated to the newfound love of my life, Aki Hayakawa. I feel like headcanons are a good way for me to figure out characterization and how I want to write characters in future fics, so here we are. Also I edited this Aki screencap to make him :) instead of :(

Makes his bed every morning, even if you’re in it. So if you wake up and find that one half of the bed is a lot straighter and smoother than your half, you’ll know why.

That being said, he likes to make sure you’re nice and warm when he leaves your side every morning for work, so he makes sure to wrap the blanket around you extra snug.

Is your personal chauffeur. The good thing about Aki is that he’s not only a good driver, but he loves driving as well. You can mention wanting to go to a certain place, then all of a sudden Aki’s dragging you out the door, keys in hand. In the words of T.I., “you can go wherever you like”

Has a thing for forehead kisses, especially if you’re shorter than him. 

Likes it when you guys have complimentary or matching jewelry. 

Aki isn’t one to talk much, but around you it’s almost like his mouth has a mind of its own. He feels like he can talk about anything and everything with you, and hopes that you feel the same way around him. 

Was very much an old man in his past life. Quite geriatric, to be honest. Goes to bed early, doesn’t upgrade his phone, reads physical newspapers in this day and age. You’ll have to live with the fact that you’re dating a grandpa </3

Aki is very, very responsible. Is always punctual, schedules appointments without needing a reminder, knows his way around legal documents and just navigating everyday life. (Though it probably has to do with the fact he’s an old man incarnate)

He doesn’t mind if he has to do things for you, either. He welcomes it, even. He likes feeling needed by you. 

Aside from cooking and driving, I imagine Aki being a somewhat proficient photographer. He has a bunch of cash to blow from being in public safety, and although he has very few vices to spend his salary on, he decided to indulge on a quality camera with the appropriate accessories

It started off small, driving to random spots on his days off and shooting pics. He was definitely more of a scenic photographer before he met you. 

Now that you’re together, you’re almost always the focus of his masterpieces. It’s almost endearing, actually, the way he asks if you’d allow him to take you out on a photoshoot date. Sometimes, he has a specific theme in mind, so he’ll buy the props he needs (including your outfits).

He’s literally starstruck every time he sees you in front of a camera. If you’re shy, he’ll encourage you until you feel more comfortable to pose the way he needs you to.

He especially likes the candid pictures he takes of you�� you laughing, looking out in the distance at the view, trying a new dish at a new date spot he took you to, etc. He has a separate folder on his laptop dedicated to pictures of you, and he looks back at them whenever he’s missing you a little extra.

I’m sure this has been established already, but Aki’s love language = acts of service. He’ll do anything and everything for you, you don’t even have to ask (most of the time).

Aki is a very observant lover, to the point where he knows you better than the back of his own hand. He seems to know what you want and when you need it. And he loves being the person to give you everything. 

Speaking of giving you everything, Aki is very much fine with you spending his paycheck. He’s never felt the need to spend much on himself aside from essentials, and he has a good amount of savings for you to shop your little heart out and then some. 

Not that he thinks you’re materialistic at all, but there’s just something about a pretty girl blowing his cash that gets him a bit worked up (in a good way).

Hey all, so I’m a fan of Made In Abyss and I recently downloaded and all that let me make AMVs, so I made one about Lyza and Ozen because I’m obsessed with them to an unhealthy agree lol. Here is that video.

There is actually a story to this based on my own headcanons about Ozen and their relationship. The first one is that Ozen does not have many friends, most people find her terrifying and while they respect her it’s more like appeasing a vengeful god than anything like companionship. The second is that Ozen had feelings for Lyza that may or may not have been reciprocated, but she assumed they weren’t because Torka, and that led to her distancing herself and ultimately not going with Lyza on her last dive, something she now regrets. With that said, here is the entire story. I don’t know how to do cuts so apologies for the long post.

So anyway the basic concept is something like an extended flashback showing Ozen and Lyza’s relationship, starting with their first meeting. I edited that a little to show Ozen turning away at first (actually a reversed clip of her turning around) because I feel like she doesn’t trust Lyza just yet, thinks she’s another person who worships her out of fear and who will never see her as a person, and then I showed her turning back around as Lyza continues talking with genuine praise and enthusiasm, as if she’s thinking “oh, this one is different.”

After that I cut to present day Ozen reminiscing as she looks at Lyza’s Whistle, followed by their two silhouettes to symbolize that they became mentor and apprentice after that meeting.

I put the scene of Lyza showing off her Black Whistle and running after Ozen next, to symbolize them moving past mentor and apprentice and becoming true partners, and then cut back to present day with Ozen walking down the stairs before the series of images showing them as cave raiding partners.

There’s a full two seconds of black after Torka appears because Ozen has all the issues with the guy and also because it symbolizes how things went to shit for Lyza when he died.

Cut to Riko’s birth, this is more or less just the clips put in chronological order, though I did shove in a brief clip of Ozen using her whistle as if making good on her words “you can relax child, I’m cursed with a strong sense of duty.”

Then we cut to the balcony scene which is also in chronological order, except I cut out the images of Torka and the dead cave raiders’ gear and left only a brief clip of Ozen carrying the Vessel and Lyza holding baby Riko because the video is about the two of them, not anyone else.

We cut back to Ozen standing in the mist directly after Lyza asks her to talk to Riko if she ever sets out to reach the bottom of the Abyss since I headcanon that this is the exact moment that Ozen realized Lyza didn’t expect her to go too, and assumed that meant she wasn’t welcome. The sudden transition is meant to be jarring and having the song’s climactic high note right there is meant to show how much of a gut punch that was for her.

Then we cut to the Best Scene which I just let play out in all its glory, but I did edit it so it only shows Ozen turning to walk away, as if accepting that she won’t be going with Lyza/leaving to process that fact, and then cutting back to Lyza as if she turned to get one last look.

After that, I cut to Blaze Reap in the flower field as a sort of final goodbye, Ozen knew Lyza wasn’t buried in that grave but she did know that the documents and the whistle were the last things she was ever going to see or hear from her, so it’s like a goodbye in a way, and it also shows that the whole thing ended with a symbolic death, two partners separated.

Finally, I cut to the present day one last time and ended the video with the mist hiding Ozen from view, and cut the video just a bit short because I felt having the last note of the music play over a black screen was more impactful.

Aannnd there the explanation for the ENTIRE THING that I’m certain no one actually cares about but I wrote anyway because I’m permanently in my feels about these two and I needed to scream about them.

Hey, do you have/do any platonic writing for Reader and Kaiba? I’m aro ace so I’m not into romance. (And frankly, Kaiba seems aggressively aro ace to me, but I understand that there are tons of girls with crushes who desperately want that to not be true, so obviously there’s a much larger market for romantic stuff.) But SOMEHOW, over the last year, I’ve developed such a squish (platonic crush) on this disaster of a man.

I just want to be friends. I want to help him make virtual reality games, and slowly grow to be friends because we have shared interests, mutually feel protective of Mokuba, and are both needlessly theatrical. Kaiba would show me the cool stuff he’s working on, and I would be suitably impressed and give good feedback like a sensible person, but also, when Kaiba tells me things like he wants to launch Duel Monsters cards into space so if there are aliens they’ll learn how to play his favorite game, I’m like, “That is ridiculous, but I love ridiculous things because I too am ridiculous. Also, that is a dope idea and you should do it immediately.”

I don’t want to fix him, I just want to largely ignore his past and have adventures and become someone he trusts. And we’ll have a great time helping each other out and problem solving for twenty years or so—at which point the Ener-D Reactor will blow up and ruin everything. I don’t know what you headcanon as happening to Kaiba at that point. Personally, I imagine he ends up being the public scapegoat for all the destruction, is bared from using his technological know-how to help the newly formed Satellite, and is found guilty in a kangaroo court. I can’t bring myself to accept that he would probably be executed, so I say he’s sentenced to live in Satellite for the rest of his days, separated from Mokuba and having lost most of his worldly possessions. (Maybe he owns a house in the area that became Satellite, and he gets to keep it and his cards?) And uh, realistically, that event will be my own downfall as well, because everyone knows I’m his friend, and heck, my name is probably in the documentation for the first Ener-D Reactor somewhere. But let’s be real, I knew from the beginning it was dangerous to befriend Seto Kaiba, and I did it anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Possible Continuations from INFODUMP. I headcanon that exchange taking place about a year before episode II and episode IV

A) Anakin Force Shenanigans

Anakin walks up: “master- who’s this guy?

“You can SEE him/me?”

Obi-Wan urgently cry/yelling at Anakin to either wear a condom with Padme or at least take her to a healer if you’re worried about her pregnancy (seriously healer BEFORE evil sith wtf)

(its been a number of years for Ben so he’s pretty much puzzled out the ‘doing this for padme’ bit)

just before obi-wan fades out anakin panics because ben hasn’t told him how he gets together with padme

yanks him into this timeline and now Old Ben has to deal with Obi-Wan and Anakin freaking out over all the info he just vomited at them AND everything else

B) Brush Off

Obi-Wan practices some good old fashioned repression to mostly convince himself it was all a weird dream

yoda always says in motion, the future is anyway

he mostly puts it out of his head until a year later when Anakin VERY obliquely references having dreams of his mother

“...what kind of dreams, exactly?”

end-up rescuing Shmi shortly after her capture, Obi-Wan’s there to make sure Anakin doesn’t go off the deep end

Nala Se is very reluctant, “I was ensured by certain high level parties that the chips were intended to be an important safeguard...”

*Obi-Wan sweating, but all-in at this point* “Well, uh, Master Dooku and Chancellor Palpatine themselves told me they were concerned about the chips being abused by the wrong parties, and sent me to supervise, so,”

“Oh, I didn’t realize you were read-in on the project architecture to that extent, well here are our options-”

Obi-Wan still chases to Jango to Genosis because he’s got a mission and ‘this might as well happen’

Still gets captured in that stupid rotating energy field by Dooku 

“What if I told you the senate was now controlled by a dark lord of the sith?”

“...I would say that I would be very interested in any holo-recordings or legal documents you might have to that effect”

The rescue attempt actually goes well this time! Anakin is well rested and practically glowing after his week-long all-expense paid vacation at Varykino

They all manage to escape and intercept reinforcement mid-flight

The council is pleased Obi-Wan is safe and not surprised to find Anakin there, but it doesn’t really change their mission as the senate has ordered them to take out the federation army before they can attack...

“The Senate ordered it?”

“Yes, much has happened, while gone you were. Were given to the chancellor, emergency powers. Drafted a military, he has. Generals, the Jedi have been made. Uneasy we are, but serve the senate, we do.”

“Oh kark, the Chancellor ordered it? We DEFINITELY can not invade.” Obi-Wan's starting to have another panic attack, not sure how to get out of the sith trap

Anakin’s a little offended. “Obi-Wan! The Chancellor is a good man; the Jedi must do this, for the good of -”

tries to find some proof about Palpatine but he is a sneaky bastard

tries to separate palpatine from anakin but he’s like I’M AN ADULT NOW YOU CAN’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO

tentatively brings up Dooku falling ‘in a vision’ to the council because that is something they can check up on- Yoda gets really offended

‘garbage planet on the outer rim’ is not a lot to go on

when he tries to get help searching because he knows that the sith who killed Qui-Gon is still alive and planning to kill his ex-girlfriend even Anakin is like... ‘ok buddy, i think you might be under too much stress, maybe we should visit the healers...”

best he can do for Shmi is leaving her an emergency beacon

A+ success in relationship repair with Anakin tho! through the application of a very awkward hug and a mumbled “you know I love you, right?”

Anakin drags him to the healers immediately, and after a drug test and an overnight stay finally responds by bursting into tears and ugly crying on Obi-Wan’s robes because “YOU’RE A FATHER TO ME BUT I THOUGHT YOU HAATED ME”

Obi-Wan is uncomfortably patting him on the back “Of course I don’t hate you! You’re my padawan! Why would you think that?”

Then when Shmi activates her emergency comm the same night Anakin has his first nightmare about his Mom and they fly to her rescue he’s even more OBI-WAN 5EVER  than canon or scenario B because

“You...checked in on my mom?? Why wouldn’t you tell me?”

“I’m sorry Anakin, I knew the council wouldn’t approve...”

hugs Anakin again since that is the only piece of advice he can follow from his future self and he just thinks ‘well its a long shot but hopefully this is enough to prevent any lava planet incidents’

- Steve n Bucky going to the bodega down the street from their apartment. it’s open till like 4am and they go at all hours. sometimes they’ll go separately but they always go together when they go in between 12-4 am and no one who works there questions why

- they get a cat that they treat her like their child. it’s Alpine ofc😌 steve loves her so much but he knows it’s Bucky’s Cat and he’s fine with it

- you know how some siblings or partners or friends can communicate with their eyes and basically have telepathy? they totally have that and it annoys the shit out of every single person they meetjdksndks. someone will be talking to them and they will just make eye contact with each other bc it reminded them of an earlier convo they had or they both got annoyed by the other person or it reminds them of an inside joke or something and it just irritates EVERYONE. no one is able to intercept it and it’s just a thing that no matter what - even though they don’t mean to - you’ll feel a little left out when you’re with steveandbucky. it just comes with the gig. i like to imagine that depending on if it’s an au or not, its either really obvious or not. like in an au then yes it’s obvious they can have non verbal conversations, but if it’s not an au then it’s not entirely obvious bc they’re enhanced humans and they know how to hide their secret conversations. but everyone they talk to is essentially an enhanced human or has special abilities so it’s obvious to them and they catch them in the act LOL. if they’re interacting with regular people then it’s not very obvious though

- DATE NIGHT!!! yes they’re old yes they have date night. when they go out it’s usually to places in their neighborhood, but a lot of the time they like to stay in bc. they’re old men <3 steve is better at cooking and bucky is better at baking bc you can get creative with cooking and steve likes that more. he enjoys baking a lot too but he thinks bucky’s stuff tastes better. whenever they stay home though there’s ALWAYS a movie. always. they alternate choosing but there is always a movie to watch. bucky usually falls asleep nearing the end and steve plays with his hair😌 he rolls his eyes cause it happens every time but he actually likes when it happens bc he can braid strands of hair together

- steve knows his body is what is considered “perfect” but he still is insecure about it around most people and bucky knows this so when steve lounges at home in bucky’s boxer briefs and his own tee shirt or he kicks off his pants when he’s too hot at night in bed bucky is reminded of just how much steve loves him and feels comfortable around him which is something he always strives for - to make steve comfortable. not baby him because steve bitches at anyone that does that to him but to make him feel comfortable

- and on the subject of feeling comfortable i imagine that they always check in with one another but it’s very subconscious they hardly realize they do it. like steve will bitch at bucky to pick up his shoes from their doorway or to clean his hair from the shower drain but the next second he will ask him if his back still hurts from being kicked by sam and from where steve AND alpine scratched him (in very different ways)

- steve is the sweater husband and bucky is the sweatshirt husband. they trade off a lot but that’s just how their closets look

- steve takes a liking to crop tops 😌 but ONLY around the house bc again he’s really truly only comfortable around bucky. he wears em with boxer briefs or sweatpants but you can guarantee that the briefs and sweats usually just end up on the floor 9 out of 10 times

- hair ties everywhere. they can be found on the floor in the laundry in their bed in the couch on top of the fridge on their fire escape. they are literally everywhere. steve just picks them up and puts them in the bathroom but they always make their way back. he doesn’t say anything to bucky until he finds alpine chewing one and she ends up smacking herself in the face with the hairtie

- their fridge is always full with leftovers and food from sam or clint’s or whoever’s house or takeout. they always eat it all but they get and make a lot of food so the fridge is always full

Dice Arisugawa

He is, unfortunately, very oblivious to romantic approaches – especially from close friends such as his division members, for he’s been with them for so long that he can never imagine them falling in love with him.

He is very good at adapting to a new environment.

Gentaro spends a lot of time away when writing and likely forgets he’s even alive during those periods, so his division members make sure he’s still taking care of himself when he gets like that.

Jakurai Jingui

Oh, my poor man’s so tired. He just needs a long break and a spa day; speaking of this, he likely doesn’t ask for help often – it’s the messiah complex he undoubtedly has.

His hair is too long for him to be taking care of it himself, and it definitely looks in fantastic condition, so he definitely takes good care of it – I just don’t think he takes care of it himself; I think he enlists the help of his division members (as I headcanon that Matenrou is in a poly relationship).

Jakurai’s matureness can sometimes get in the way of other things, such as emotional moments, and he can come off as cold or distant when he doesn’t mean to come off that way.

Unlike the other divisions, Jakurai wanted to really separate from his past, and that’s why he named his division Matenrou instead of reusing something from the past. He also probably doesn’t like talking about the past.

His hair is naturally silver, but the lighter shades that are nearly white underneath was caused by stress.

He gets cold quickly, which is why he always keeps the lab coat on, and it’s also why he wears a turtleneck.

Jakurai does live in the same apartment as Doppo and Hifumi, but he’s always so busy that he often can’t get there, so he ends up sleeping at the hospital; he also has a separate apartment of his own that’s closer to the hospital if he has free time, but he’s not off work/off work but still on call.

Rio Mason Busujima

Rio’s very stoic and that often doesn’t break, so it’s very rare to see a smile on his face. He can come up with strategies on the spot and is a very quick-thinker when it comes to combat.

Despite how ruthless he is when it comes to rap battles and being an ex-navy, he’s actually a very gentle soul.

MARIMASHITA! IRUMA-KUN

Kirio Amy/Suzuki Iruma

There are many good ships with Iruma, but this one just has a lot things I like. I love enemy ships with both sides being way too emotionally invested into each other so this was inevitable. I love how this relationship starts as this really wholesome friendship and school festival preparation, except Kirio turns out to be a bit messed up and wants to blow up everyone. But then they both accept the outcome and go on with their lives still thinking about each other. Iruma goes through a lot of trouble to keep the club operating even though Kirio has been pretty much expelled. And then Kirio is now obsessed with Iruma as his anthitesis and perfect enemy.

I’m okay with the potential story happening at any point in the canon. I would love both a story set before the festival while Kirio is still hiding his true colors or a story set after it. Maybe Iruma runs into Kirio somewhere after he escapes prison and instead of calling an adult, he tries to stop Kirio from causing trouble on his own. As for pre-festival story. Maybe some upperclassmen steal important parts from the club and Iruma and Kirio set out to get them back.

Naberius Callego & Suzuki Iruma

I love Callego for being a much better take on Snape than original Snape ever was. The second the series made Callego Iruma’s familiar I knew this was about to get good. And it was. I love how Callego slowly warms up to Iruma, even if he is still allergic to his and Sullivan’s antics. I love that Callego is actually a competent teacher who cares about his students, but at the same time he would rather eat a whole lemon than admit it out loud.

For prompts, maybe Sullivan ends up having an important business and Opera isn’t available so he dumps looking after Iruma on Callego for a few days. Or Iruma is struggling with studying since so many things are new for him, so Callego ends up forced to help him catch up with the material (if you are following manga inclusion of Balam is always welcome). Or maybe Iruma gets into usual trouble ends up stranded somewhere and the only one he can call for help is his familiar.

Crocell Kerori | Kuromu/Gyari

One of the last thing I expected to get this year was a canonical yuri romance in this manga, but here it is and it’s perfect. I love how it is pretty much built on mutual pining. I love how Kuromu loves Gyari, but refuses to reciprocate her feelings, because she knows that she needs to remain unattainable to keep their relationship alive, and I love how Gyari is never ever going to give up.

I would love to see more of the time when they worked together. We know it was love at the first sight for Gyari, but I would love to see how Kuromu’s feelings grew. Those hours they spent together practicing, maybe a not-date where they sneak together to scout a venue where they will be having their first big concert, or maybe a small contest that would sow the seeds for their future rivalry. I would love any and all of it. Also, Gyari doesn’t seem to be aware of Kuromu’s civilian identity, so I would love a story where Gyari meets Crocell Kerori rather than Kuromu. Does she recognize her? Or does Kerori manage to successfully trick her? Maybe Gyari makes a full investigation after hearing rumors that Kuromu is attending Babylys. I would also love any sort of future fic for those two.

AUs and ships

I love the worldbuilding around the demon world, so I would ask that if you decided to write an AU that it still incorporates demons. I would definitely love an AU where rather than getting summoned to demon world, Iruma accidentally summons either Kirio or Callego into the human world. Maybe Iruma’s parents try to use him as an offering, but instead he ends up bound to a demon. I would love to see Kirio excited to unleash suffering (even if his weak powers severely limit him in that regard) onto human world just to discover that he made contract with the biggest pacifist possible. Or Callego being torn between wanting to return home as soon as possible (he has classes to teach!) and wanting to somehow help the weird human child that just keeps getting into trouble. Any other demon-focused AU is also welcome. For Gyari and Kurmou, maybe one of them is a human who ends up summoning the other as a demon. How different would their relationship be then? I’m also fine with any sort of AU divergences scenario. Maybe Iruma keeps accidentally sabbotaging Kirio’s terrorist plans without realizing it. Or Iruma ends up summoning Callego more often as his familiar when he gets into trouble. What if Gyari also attended Babylys.

As for ships, I’d rather avoid any love triangle scenarios for this canon, so please focus on just one pairing per character (competing for Iruma’s attention is normal for this canon, I’d just rather not see outright romantic competition). It’s self-explainatory for Kirio request, but if you want to include some shipping elements into the other requests I also ship Iruma/Amelie and Callego/Balam.

VIVY: FLUORITE EYE’S SONG

I would love a look into some alternate timelines or missing scenes. Feel free to go as tragic as you like for alternate timelines, or make a happy end, or anything in between. I just think the core concept of the show has a lot of potential in that regard. For a more specific prompts I would love an AU where Diva doesn't disappear, but maybe she and Vivy end up spliting in some way (I'm sure Matsumoto could find a spare body or something). Or maybe a story where one of the Sisters ends up dragged into Singularity project (I really loved what they did with Elizabeth in the show).

For more worldbuilding prompts I would love a more in-depth look of how Matsumoto as more advanced AI differs from the past eye and how that gap is slowly being closed with each case he and Vivy resolves. Or outsider POV on how Vivy’s and Matsumoto’s actions shape the world. Them turning off the plant producing new androids and the subsequent suicide would definitely get coverage. I would love to know how the whole thing was officially explained. Are there conspiracy theories on the Internet? Sisters are involved in every major incident, would people suspect something?

I would prefer no setting changes for this story. Any other AUs are fine. As mentioned I would love any look for alternate timeline. I would also love an AU where Diva doesn’t recover her memories and keeps helping Matsumoto while trying to regain them.

Frieren/Himmel

I love how this manga is a slow-paced fantasy dealing with loss and inevitable passage of time. And I love Frieren for being one of the best depictions of an elf whose long life actually affects their outlook on life and actions.

I would equally love the insight into Frieren’s present with her charges and the past with hero party. What other shenanigans they get into on their journey? What kind of weird magic Frieren pursued? I would love to see more of her mentoring Fern and Stark. I also love to see her interactions with the hero party. Maybe some more insight into how they fought with demons, since Frieren seemed to have picked up a number of enemies during that time. For some more specific prompts: maybe Frieren accidentally stumbles ona cursed item that erases her memories (or just her memories of Himmel). How would it affect her? What would the party do to help her? Or maybe a demon kidnaps someone from Frieren’s party?

Feel free to include any other characters, they are a colorful bunch.

AUs and ships

I’m fine with AUs as long as Frieren’s long lifespan is preserved. Her perspective is very much shaped by how long she has lived, so I wouldn’t want that aspect to change. One exception would be, a roleswap where Himmel is an elf, while Frieren is a human, and exploration of how both of them would be affected by having a different lifespan. An AU with mythological creatures or similar could be interesting.

I would very much love Himmel/Frieren, though I also enjoy how the manga softly builds on their connection. I also enjoy the budding romance between Fern and Stark.

ONMYOJI

I like all the characters so feel free to include any of them in the story. Bonus points for Ennmusubi doing some subtle matchmaking.

Hakuro/Kusa

I love both of them and how much Kusa looks up to Hakuro. I would love to see them have some adventures together. Maybe they help some other youkai? Or one of the onmyoji? I would also love a deeper insight into how Kusa became stronger after getting inspired by Hakuro. How did she try to improve herself? There definitely was some trial and error and I would love to see that.  

Shiranui/Kinnara

That pairing came out of the left field for me, but I absolutely love the interactions the two of them had so far. I would love to see them meeting more, their feelings growing each time they see each other. I also feel like a story where they keep meeting each other in a dream would really fit them, as they would long to finally meet each other in reality.

AUs and ships

I’m fine with any AU. A modern AU with archer Hakuro and gardener Kusa would be cute. Or a dancer Shiranui and a musican Kinnara. Alternatively an AU where one of the two is onmyoji could be very interesting.

I’m fine with Hakuro’s admiration for Hiromasa being present as long as it doesn’t overshadow her relationship with Kusa. 

DRESDEN FILES

Harry Dresden/Lara Raith

I was sceptical of this pairing all the way through Peace Talks, but then Harry and Lara had this intense falling out, Murphy had died, and suddenly this is a supernatural arranged political marriage and I love everything about this situation. I mean everything. Harry still being in mourning and absolutely not wanting to be forced into this arrangement, Lara still being distrustful of Harry, suspecting that Dresden is using their brother as a bargaining chip, Mab expecting both of them to present themselve as a couple for political reasons. It’s just terrible time for both of them, but so much fun for me.

I would love to see them forced to attend various supernatural events to present themselves per Mab’s wishes. How badly would Dresden handle it? Also it was confirmed that he was marked with true love which means he and Lara probably can’t even touch directly. How well do they hide that fact from everyone? How much guilt would Harry have once he realized that the mark has weakened or disappeared now that he started to develop feelings for Lara? How much chaos will ensue when the wedding does happen?

AUs and ships

I don’t want any setting AU for this fandom, because the existing setup is just too perfect. I’m fine with a divergence AU as long as Lara and Harry are still forced into arranged marriage.

I would want for Harry’s past relationships be acknowledged mostly because him being in mourning is part of what I find appealing about his situation. I don’t expect any scenes actually showing him with his past lovers, but I would be very okay with them appearing.

TALES OF CRESTORIA

Feel free to include other Tales characters. My faves are the cast of Xillia, Symphonia and Graces, but I’m also fine with including other characters (I would appreciate proper introductions in that case, I still haven’t played some of the games, so I might not recognize everyone just by their name).

Solo: Lloyd Irving

I would love more insight into small, but murdeous Lloyd. Seriously I loved the idea of Lloyd originally being manipulated into killing Colette and would love to see Lloyd remembering his lost memories at some point (bonus points for also exploring the idea of Colette as an artificial construct). Also I'm always a sucker for Kratos and Lloyd awkwardly trying to rebuild their familial bonds. What if Lloyd went with Kratos after all? What would happen if they ran into each other again. 

Stahn Aileron & Leon Magnus

I would love more of Leon's utter suffering as he searches for a way to turn his best friend back into human, so people stop thinking he's crazy whenever he tells his sword to shut up. I would love to see him reunite with Crestoria’s main cast and getting annoyed at how chaotic they are. Or running into Sorey again. Honestly, I would love seeing him interact with pretty much anyone, and grumpily helping them kill monsters/do charity/etc. Or exploring Stahn’s and Leon’s past. I would love to see their childhood and how they grew to be such a good friends.

I haven’t played Destiny, so please give me context if you want to include any elements that aren’t in Crestoria.

Velvet Crowe/Milla Maxwell

I thrive on the twisted codependency those two have in Crestoria. I will take both good, tragic and/or ambiguous ends for this relationship. Whether Velvet decides to forgive Milla or kill her it will be great. Give me all those twisted emotions, the hesitation, and pain both of them are carrying.

For straightforward approach, maybe the two of them stop in a town while chasing the last Incarnation and Milla decides to throw a party (because it’s some sort of festival, or maybe she found out it’s Velvet’s or Laphicet’s birthday and wants to make some amends however small). Or maybe one of them gets hurt during the fight with an Incarnation and the other ends up nursing them to health.

For some more levity, maybe Velvet and Milla ran out of money and pick up some side-job to have enough money for an inn. Maybe they work as waitresses and are both great and terrible at it at the same time. Or they have to take care of kids. Any other amusing job is also good.

AUs and ships

I’m fine with any AUs, though for Stahn&Leon request I still want Stahn to be the sword. I’m okay with Stahn turning human (or from human to sword) in the course of the story or being human when showing his past with Leon.

I don’t want Velvet or Milla paired with anyone else or Asbel/Cheria. Other than that there’s too much ships. Please inquire through the mods about specific ones.

FATE/GRAND ORDER

I would love to explore any part of the setting really. I especially love the various interesting connections Servant have with each other that might not be obvious at first glance (like the fact that Iskander is also a pharaoh). I’m just fascinated by all the intricate historical connections. I would also love to see how some Servants would react if they were taken to Singularity/Lostbelt/Event they weren’t a part of. 

Alternatively I would love to see exploration on how different the protagonists upbringing is from other mages especially given how bad they are at magic. We get some of it with Crypters (I loved how frustrated Kadoc was at the fact that the protagonist is even worse at magic than him), but I would love to see more of it. Maybe some Servants try to teach protagonist magic or prepare them for interactions with Clock Tower mages.

I'm fine with both male and female protagonist. Feel free to do anything from a serious character exploration to zany antics. I love both moods FGO jumps between, you can't go wrong with that. Historical context always welcome. I'm fine for any usual suspects when it comes to plot ideas: be it training simulator shenanigans, "oh no we lost comms and are stuck in Singularity", Moriarty scheming, to someone wanting to make Master happy in their own special, dysfunstional and/or possibly destructive ways

Some of the characters I enjoy: Gilgamesh (any), Mordred, Karna, Medea, Saint Martha, Ereshikigal, Danzo, Jeanne D'Arc Alter, Mysterious Heroine XX, Sitonai, Moriarty, Goredolf, any character from pairings section solo. Though honestly I love pretty much everyone in Chaldea except Columbus.

AkuRoku Defense pt 2

Axel and Roxas’s ship has had one of the most bizarre fandom journey’s i have ever come to witness. It has gone from being one of the most popular ships maybe ever, to being dead cancelled over a supposed age gap and I find that completely unfair, especially when it speaks to so many innocent people who emotionally depend on the ship, (yes innocent includes the spicy people because art literally is not a crime). So its time to defend it.

Brief Review on Nobodies vs Aging

First of all, l already explained in part 1 what the Nobodies Don’t Age thing means but I’ll go over it again briefly, since it can be confusing, though also many people seem to demand their hands be held rather than use their imaginations to understand. Even so, here’s the short version just for a review:

-A person in KH is made of a heart, body, and soul.

-The body reflects the heart in KH. (See: replica bodies taking on the appearance of the heart that’s inside them). 

-A nobody lacks a heart, making them just a body and soul. They’re advanced zombies of sorts.

Nobodies do not age because they have no heart for the body to reflect. This is why they won’t change until they form one. Change includes age

-Ergo, you can imagine any age you like for Axel to be nobodied, cuz he was frozen at that age and did not change for 10 years. Not until he met Roxas. 

We’ll come back to this again later.

Axel Loves Roxas Canonically

Second of all, Axel loves Roxas and you are allowed to interpret that as platonic, familial, or romantic, I don’t care as long as you’re not forcing that idea on others like the ship police. That said, people are allowed to explore how romantic this love potentially is. 

And what you might like to know is that the canon is even open to this. Axel’s love for Roxas is canonically expressed, and if you would like, you can even interpret that love as romantic. See below:

We are going to look at the japanese translation because AS ALWAYS good old SENA is here for the straights and erases the gay, like clockwork. 

In English, Axel says this:

Axel: I wanted to see Roxas. He...was the only one I liked... He made me feel...like I had a heart. It's kind of...funny... You make me feel...the same...

Axel’s line here in Japanese:

Axel: I wanted to see Roxas... I loved him. Being with him... it made me feel like I had a heart. I feel it from you, too... the same kind of....

You may notice that as romantic as the line “he made me feel like I had a heart” sounds, the original can be read as wAY gooier, specifically cuz of this word:

好き: "suki"

Now here’s the thing. Japanese is a pretty vague language which is why context is so important for these things, as well as what you say, and what you don’t say. 

“Suki” is a very key word here because it is often used in romantic confession scenes.

(I have no idea what this panel is from, I apologize lol) 

It CAN mean something casual, like “I love video games”, but considering Axel is saying this with his dying breath, I don’t think we should be treating it as some hyperbole. He is referring to a person and it is meaningful. However. It is still a word with plausible deniability. Japanese has several words for love, “ai” for example being one of the most inarguable means of referring to romantic love. So choosing “suki” still leaves room for the homophobes to disregard it as something not romantic. Which makes it objectively inconclusive. Here is the thing though… they specifically chose that word, suki, a word which IS so often used in a romantic context in many anime and manga. 

They also chose to use that word rather than something objectively platonic. Which means you also cannot conclude Axel did NOT mean it romantically. Given his devotion to Roxas, and the fact that they chose this word of all words for him to say… I’m personally going to assume it’s romantic. You are free not to interpret it that way. But I am because I am considering the fact that they did not choose something strictly platonic. 

(My translator friend actually freaked out when I showed her this, she’s translated and seen enough confession scenes to know what connotations that particular word comes with lol). 

If you’ve read my queer coding doc, you may recall I also go over how this is one of the most important tricks with queer coding. You write something that CAN be viewed as queer but with plausible deniability for straight people to ignore it. It’s a means of protecting oneself and the text from homophobic oppression. It is a legitimate practice. So even though it can be denied as a queer text, it can also very very well be viewed as a definite queer text. We are choosing to queer it here. It is not as explicit as it could be, but it is still very bold, suggestive coding considering the homophobic world we live in, and especially with KH2 being released in 2004. 

“But Age Gap!” (ughhhhh)

We’re back to this cuz I also finally have the Japanese version of that infamous page in the Day’s novel to look at.  

I hope you’ll forgive me if I get a little bit salty but I don’t like to repeat myself lol so I’m gonna try to keep this section short and to the point.

In this interview with Nomura, he expresses that nobodies do not age, and they exist as they were at the time of becoming a nobody. He then suggests Xemnas seems 30 ish.

Now I truly do not care to hold your hand through the process of thinking creatively because you should be using your own imagination, if you have one, to think critically and creatively about what this idea means.

Kingdom Hearts is a FANTASY game. Nobodies are a FANTASY concept. They can break ALL the rules about real life that you want them to. But I will go ahead and explain this for you even though I’ve already done it many times, in this very document even and in other meta posts.

The body reflects the heart. Nobodies are frozen as they are from the moment they are “born”, which is to say the moment they are created. Glorified zombies. They aren’t going to age unless they form a heart. Why does Xemnas look 30? He has a heart! Or he was formed 10 years after TerraNort defected. You tell me. Why did Ienzo age? I dunno, you tell me! Either he formed a heart and didn’t know it, (he’s passionate about his work, he loves Ansem the Wise, any number of things could’ve made him form a new heart), or he was nobodied later in life. Axel is frozen at whatever age he was when he was nobodied, all the while Ienzo could’ve been nobodied 10 years later. It’s a fantasy, and these are fantasy rules. That scenario can happen. YOU decide. Until the canon tells us for sure, your imaginations can run wild with explanations. Even if the canon does tell us, you can still imagine whatever you want for your own headcanons. Freedom is amazing, it’s salty and sweet. 

Now let’s talk about that annoying page in the Days novel people keep shoving in my face.

This one right here. The official english translation is this:

That’s not the worst translation I’ve seen them put out there. But let’s look closer at the Japanese:

 Here, Axel says he thinks Roxas is about 10 years separate from himself, but things like age don't exist for nobodies.

Already that’s making a lot more sense to me for nobodies since we are told nobodies do not age. As such Axel speaking like he is 10 years older would feels almost contradictory when he has no heart and cannot change. 

This wording is important. Recall me saying that Japanese is very vague so all of the context matters. No one is denying that 10 years passed between Birth By Sleep and Axel meeting Roxas. However. Nobodies don’t age.

(please dont make me explain that a third time in this essay alone)

The Japanese and English both express that age does not apply to nobodies, (as discussed above^^^^) and the Japanese furthers this with its wording. They have 10 years of separation between Axel being nobodied, and Roxas existing.  

Axel saying in English that Roxas is simply 10 years younger than himself is rather misleading considering the ambiguity of the original. I can’t fault the translators too much for not understanding this nobody concept so well because it is obviously confusing. However, I do not think Axel was saying Roxas is literally, in real life human somebody terms, 10 literal physical years younger than him. He is expressing that he became a nobody 10 years ago whereas this guy became a nobody very recently, and it shows with how little he can even function right now. A zombie who has been wandering around with no heart for 10 years meets a fresh zombie wandering around with no heart for 1 day. 

I know antis are gonna use it against us no matter what, but at least know that akuroku is not inherently pedophilia nor is it inherently an adult/minor ship.

In many of our headcanons, Axel was frozen at age 18 or 19, with Roxas being 16. Absolutely no one is required to view them with a big age gap because imagination is free and you literally have no right to police it, but also because the canon expresses these nobodies as beings outside of the realm of age. They do not operate under real life rules or somebody rules. Think of Steven Universe where Rose was thousands of years old but only “grew up” as a person when she fell in love with Greg, a human in his 20s-30s who asked her to consider other people’s feelings. Consider the mind of a nobody as a state of Neverland. You aren’t gonna age unless you step out of it and change. Mature. Isn’t it sad that Axel did not feel like he had a heart until Roxas? No wonder people ship it!

Coding is Obvious

Finally I wanna conclude on a simple thought. This interview right here? I’d be curious what the original Japanese actually says lol but the english translation of it says that romantic akuroku was not Nomura’s intent. 

Here’s the thing though. If you know anything about queer coding, you know that using romantic coding between 2 male characters is signaling something. It is not something you should ignore. It would not be there if the characters were meant to be viewed as objectively straight. And for something “unintentional”... there sure is a lot of coding at work here.

From Axel pinning Roxas down and asking him to come home in a very sexually suggestive pose,

to watching the sunset in sheer bliss together just enjoying the peace of reunion,

to watching the sunset together while talking about what LOVE is, specifICALLY romantic love,

To this. And I already told you what this was in Japanese.

I’m not saying Nomura lied…

But I am saying that a whole staff worked together to create these games, and it is very difficult for me to believe that no one thought to say “these characters appear to be romantic, let us change the scene to be more platonic” if the characters were not meant to be romantically suggestive. 

Tl;Dr I wanna live in the timeline where people let you ship akuroku lol
