she missed her old lightsaber. green as the grass from her home world, familiar and comfortable. no longer usable. what it represented gone. it had long since broken, and cecile just didn't feel like this new one she had been fully bonded with yet. silly, absolutely. but somewhere in the back of her mind, even now, there was a nagging reminder that maybe her current problem would have turned out different if she had practiced with her new one more.

one where she was not seriously wondering whether her life was in danger or not. why had they not attempted to kill her yet? just to leave her locked in a room adjacent to where she had broken in, searching for the best way to blow up or disable the base. blowing it up would be the best her preferred choice. cecile felt like she had been close;; right up until before the imperials had opened the door across the way and caught her by surprise. It wasn't a large base, but it was the third one she had attacked in a year. one completely had been demolished, one simply had been defective for a few months. not nearly as affective, but she couldn't hit it a second one. this, she had heard about last minute, even with a flight arranged off planet cecile knew she had to try. it was the only way for her to make a difference. no one else wanted her help.

she had fought back of course, realizing too late that it was a trap. and now she was here, locked in a room with her lightsaber removed and no back up to come to her aid. “ idiot. ” she started to look around the room, searching for any chances of a hidden button, praying to the Force for a way out.

How were Cécile and Lázaro like as children?

✦ Lázaro is the fourth of six siblings, so being right in the middle, they were often overlooked by their parents. Not on purpose, but their childhood was pretty solitary besides getting along pretty well with two of their sisters.

They were deemed weird, too feminine, too shy, and so on by their classmates, so they didn't have many friends as a kid.

Their gender non-conformity, as well as other stuff that's spoiler, made them leave home pretty early, at 16 years old. The rest you'll find out during their route :^)

✦ Cécile is an only child. He had a pretty standard childhood—was popular in the neighborhood, came from a loving and well-positioned family, and had a tightly-knit group of friends. He was brilliant in school. The magisters often said he had a great future ahead, and he received one of the greatest honors a Limbanian can receive: he was accepted as a candidate to become a Secutor.

I want Cecil and Charles to be best friends. I think it would be absolutely hilarious.

I want Charles to text Cecil about Night Vale religious stuff out of curiosity, but then they spend hours talking because Cecil knows a lot of random stuff about the different deities and who likes what type of sacrifice and stuff like that.

And then it just spirals from there. They're both dating the other's double, so in a weird way, they already know each other and feel close to each other, and it just makes it worse.

Do they want to fuck? No, not at all. They just get weirdly close. They talk about their husbands, their kids, their lives. If they meet up, they share food and drinks without a thought, get changed in the same room, etc etc.

Meanwhile, Kevin and Carlos are slowly losing their minds. What they had for those ten years in the DoW was NOT platonic even if it never went as far as either of them wanted, and so they keep thinking that Charles and Cecil can't be either.

Charles absolutely knows it bothers them and is enjoying the jealous sex so he definitely plays it up a bit. Compliments Cecil's ass, braids his air, gets physically affectionate, etc.

Cecil just has a shiny new best friend that comes with a new best friend for Esteban, too, and he's excited about it. He doesn't even realize there is tension.

When I watched Frasier clips for that one ask with Bob and Cecil, I fell on a specific one that felt fitting for Cecil's relationship with Claryce!

Honestly? He couldn't care any less. To him she's just one of Bob's future exes (even if she keeps claiming they aren't dating).

Bonus with Bob joining them at the table! It doesn't get any better. :')
