It's so painful seeing people say DR has the best animation in the show's history... girl this show has some CLUNKY animation I know VISUALLY the 11-minute era was by no means perfect but the actual movements were so fluid and didn't throw the camera to all angles of the screen every single second this show is too focused on camera movements for fluidity as opposed to character movements 😭😭😭 IDC what you say about 11-min era, that was OBJECTIVELY the peak of the show's animation.

i personally do like broadway epic iii but the london (2018. not west end. take that thang away from me) one is my favourite by far. like- ''the sun rose and fell in his chest when he held her / he felt the earth moving without and within'' is such a great moment. and it also keeps the garden imagery??? i'm in love. it's so beautiful agdhjzfhs

#i think the one thing i miss about the old epics is exactly that. the imagery (long ass tags so be warned)#and not just of the garden thing #in general #it paints such a beautiful picture #like if hearing words in a song was watching each brush stroke in an art piece #idk how to explain #also in that boot reeve's voice sounds incredibly powerful in the lalalas #i like the london epics in general #and london hadestown in general #when i watched the edmonton boot i was looking forward to hearing reeve sing nytw epic iii #and it was eh ngl but this version does feel appropiate for him #i love it #also bonus point because it has the best animatic ever go watch it right now. it gave me feelings #hadestown #esparrago post
