Mark was given a gift by the heavens, which was you— a man who understood his flaws and insecurities, despite him being 'Invincible' and a wonder-boy in the publics eyes, he was vastly different In private, a boy who had personal issues of his own, and his thoughts battling with one another.
He was unstable, most of the time to say the least— but you loved him either way, because; that's what boyfriends are for! you love him with your whole heart, you didn't love him just because he was invincible, you didn't love him just for fame or his powers— No, you loved him as a whole. You loved the way he melted Into your touch, the way he felt around you, it just felt— right.
Now, going back— You had your arms wrapped around him, like you were afraid he'd disappear the moment you let him go, you truly loved him so much, you could burst with how much love you had for him.
“I love you, so so much. Fuck— I wanna die like this.” You said, nuzzling into his hair; the two of you were laying on the couch in the living room, both of you in your own little worlds, with mark lazily on top of you, face nuzzled into the crook of your neck— you could feel his heart beating softly, and god— this was romantic, no; this was love right here.
“love you alot too, reader.” Was all he replied, his voice filled with exhaustion, his arms around your neck, him wearing your hoodie, with the soft hum of the fan, it all felt comforting. And after all— It was a lazy and slow day, with him taking a break from being Invincible, and It was your rest day too, being a part time tutor and a student to support both of you.
You always took care of mark, and along with that— your attentive care of his injuries whenever he returned back home from a fight, usually with broken fingers, deep cuts and broken bones; yes, he can recover easily, but the process was pain filled, and that's where you come in, always helping him through it, pain killers, cold and warm baths, and cuddling, his form of medicine.
...Now talking about your public life, with you and mark as students, you were stereotyped as a 'jock'; though you mainly correct them by saying you only do sports during your free time, not all the time of course. Football? you're good at it, soccer? somewhat good but not that good to be considered as a professional, while mark? he simply exist, he has good grades, attentive in studying, but he'd get lazy most of the time, which you have to force him to do homework when the due date is tomorrow, basically— a lazy puppy and a productive puppy.
Talking about what he loves about you, he drools over your body— and you as a whole. But the part he loves you the most? Definitely your biceps, you weren't that jacked— but somewhat that could be considered as mascular, you somehow discovered mark loved being crushed by your biceps, maybe due to the experimenting you two do, or maybe something else? either way, he loves being close to you, and physical touch was one of them— holding hands? yeah, his shoulder touching yours? most definitely, he wasn't touch starved, but he does love physical touch, as it means so much to him.
Your relationship with marks mother, Debbie? oh oh, you absolutely loved her energy! how she cooks, the way she brought you embarrassing pictures of mark, and little gossips here and there, you're basically apart of the family now, she welcomed you with open arms, she was definitely supportive with your relationship with mark.
Talking about how you found out he was Invincible... It was relatively easy, Mark can be forgetful sometimes— which meant you always did everything around the apartment you two shared, and you did discover his suit thrown away at some corner of his room, poorly hidden; though, you didn't immediately freaked out, you were suspicious whenever mark disappeared and Invincible was out there saving the city. But either way, you didn't care— he was yours and nothing could change it, he was invincible? hell yeah but he's still your pretty boy.

i will say one thing community writers did right by s6 jeff is the episode where he tries to befriend elroy. the way he rolls his eyes at the study group, telling them it’s no big deal if elroy doesn’t like them, and they shouldn’t be so obsessive over it, only to do a complete 180 when he realizes elroy might not like HIM. that is a quintessential example of his character to me. he likes to be in the position of the cool guy who doesn’t care, but the reality is that he is insecure and wants very much for the people around him to like him, even if he pretends he doesn’t

Good day, do you have any ways to write someone being flustered or bashful? Please.
Hi. Here's something from my drafts for you. You can consider the following notes when writing characters that are bashful/shy:
Writing Notes: Shyness
Many accomplished people are shy, including singers Barbra Streisand and Bob Dylan, and writer J. D. Salinger (Stocker, 1997).
What shy persons have in common is that they desire friendships and social interactions but are held back by their insecurities and fears.
Consequently, they avoid the spotlight, avoid face-to-face interaction, and ruminate excessively after conversations, worrying about whether they said the right things, made a good impression, or sounded stupid.
The inner experience of a shy person in an interaction is quite different from that of someone else in the same interaction who is not shy.
Shy people are not necessarily introverts (Cheek, 1989).
Introverts prefer to be alone; they enjoy the peace and quiet of solitude. Shy people, on the other hand, want to have contact with others, to be socially involved, and to have friends and be part of the group.
But shy persons’ self-doubt and self-consciousness prompts them to pass up opportunities to socialize.
They handicap themselves; by not entering groups, not speaking to unfamiliar people, not approaching others, they deny themselves the opportunities to learn and practice the very social skills they need to overcome their shyness.
Psychologists studying shyness sometimes prefer the term social anxiety, which is defined as discomfort related to social interactions, or even to the anticipation of social interactions (Chavira, Stein, & Malcarne, 2002).
Adults with social anxiety report that they are nervous or that they feel awkward when talking to others, especially people with whom they are unfamiliar (Cheek & Buss, 1981).
Socially anxious persons appear to be overly concerned about what others will think.
After a conversation, they often conclude that they said something wrong, sounded foolish, or looked stupid (Ritts & Patterson, 1996).
Sometimes the social anxiety is so strong that it shows in various outward signs, such as a trembling voice or jittery movements.
Other people interacting with a socially anxious person often interpret their behavior as unfriendliness, rather than as shyness (Cheek & Buss, 1981).
Sometimes shy persons are so overcome with anxiety that it hinders their ability to carry on a conversation.
They may spend time staring at their shoes, rather than talking, because they cannot think of a thing to say.
Pauses in a conversation can be very discomforting to shy persons.
Shy people also tend to interpret social interactions negatively; they are more likely to interpret a comment as a criticism than as a helpful suggestion.
It seems that shy people are not only reluctant to enter into social interaction but also expect that others will dislike them.
These expectations may lead them to avoid interactions or cut conversations short, losing the very opportunities they need to overcome their shyness.
Psychologists studying the brain have suggested that shy persons have a more reactive amygdala, which is a section of the limbic or emotional system of the brain that is most responsible for fear.
Whatever its causes, shyness can have problematic social implications for the shy person:
Several studies have examined how shy persons use the Internet to avoid face-to-face social interaction (e.g., Caplan, 2002).
One study found that shy persons were more likely to use the Internet for recreation rather than interact with others in face-to-face recreational settings (Scealy, Phillips, & Stevenson, 2002).
7 concrete steps a shy person can take to overcome their difficulties
Adding this resource from Stocker (1997). Maybe it could be useful if your character's arc leads them to overcome their shyness.
Show up. Shy persons want to avoid the situations that make them anxious. However, if you really want to overcome shyness, you’ve got to enter those uncomfortable situations: go to a party or strike up a conversation with a stranger. Often, shy persons overestimate how uncomfortable they will feel; however, once they engage in an interaction, they find that it is not as bad as they had expected.
Give yourself credit. Stop being your own worst critic. In scorning or deriding their own social performance after the fact, shy persons are often very hard on themselves. If they make one little social faux pas, they often blow that misstep out of proportion, ignoring the fact that 99 percent of the interaction went well.
Take baby steps. It is useful to take big goals and break them into smaller steps. Instead of wanting to “become an engaging conversationalist,” maybe try to set some smaller goals, such as going to a meeting of a group you’ve been wanting to join. The first time, you don’t have to talk; just go and listen. The second time, maybe your goal will be to talk, not during the meeting but maybe to someone after the meeting is over. At the third meeting, try to ask a question during the actual meeting by speaking up. The point is to set small goals and experience some small successes along the way.
Give unto others. Shy people, because they are nervous, are focused on themselves during conversations. Shift your attention to others; look at them when they talk, listen carefully to what they say, try to find something interesting and connect to that, ask questions, and give a compliment or a word of support. Paying attention outwardly toward other people will also get your attention off yourself and your own nervousness.
Exude warmth. The nervousness that shy people feel is often interpreted by others as unfriendliness or tension. Try to create a more positive nonverbal impression by smiling, making eye contact, and staying relaxed.
Anticipate failure. Overcoming shyness is a learning process. It will take practice, and small failures are inevitable. If you say something wrong in a conversation, chalk it up to the learning process and get on with more practice.
Join the crowd. Nobody is perfect all the time. There are lots of people who are not perfect conversationalists. Also, you might think that making small talk is a big deal. However, when you really listen to other people’s small talk, you’ll realize that it really is just that—small talk, nothing more.

HIHI thank you for giving me an opportunity to rant holy moly do I have thoughts on vbs wl2..... most of them negative uhhhhh I think what I liked about it was Touya's chapters. they were probably the strongest (actually if I have to rank them on best to worst it bed touya--->an--->kohane--akito). I did enjoy an's whole "it was selfish of me to have dragged Kohane into this" spiel because its something that means a lot to her character and I cried from joy when she was talking about it!! The only think I liked in Kohane's chapter was the whole "it felt nice to BE an's partner" because that mentality stems from insecurity, which again, I wish her chapters dove into more.
Pretty much: I feel like this event wasn't individually character driven enough??? obviously these stories ARE angstbait written by a corporation to get money but we KNOW that PRSK is capable of making stories that are so impactful and beautiful so when they churn out slop like this its kinda insulting yk????? akito would hate the PRSK writers please stop half assing this!!!
most criticism I've seen for this even were "it only focused on the aibous!!!!!" and while that is a valid complaint that's not what made the event so ass. To me, the whole aibous braking up schtick wasn't a lame idea, it's actually really compelling! The main issue is that we didn't LEARN anything new about these characters from how they were acting (except maybe touya. Touya's chapter felt like a genuine character study of him and the fact that it focused more on his relationship with MUSIC primarily is what made it so strong for me!!!
i don't wanna be a whole "why is the author acting like he know so much" but genuinely the way an and akito's chapters were handled.... didn't feel right to me. Akito especially because WHY did he go to America (to get a fresh start???? bro IDK at least touya had a REASON to go to Austria) where he has no connections and cant speak a lick of English?? What was the point of sending him to America if all it did was give us the whole "hey Akito wanna team up" "no" thing??? Personally, I think it would have been stronger if it focused on the original fallout between akitoya (also. WHY THE HELL ARE THEY IN THEIR THIRD ANNI OUTFITS LIKE HAS THAT MUCH TIME PASSED???? I think that amount of time passing hinders the emotional impact also it poses a lot of logistic issues for the whole "it was all a dream" thing but I will get into that later BYE) if they really wanted to go down the America route, I think it did have a LOT going for it.... the writers kinda just did nothing with it? I want to see Akito transitioning from a community-driven-place to NEW YORK FUCKING CITY.... I want him to think this change will be so good for him only for him to totally realize he screwed up. He is a sixteen year old boy!!! Give him an actual REASON to go home because I don't think he'd give a fuck if some random guy from Kamiyama hit him up like what????? (Same goes for touya, in my rewrite I make TSUKASA call him and ask for him to visit! why would he go back for a random guy from school????). Also, we SAW how badly Akito overworked himself in sbd when he isolated himself from touya and vbs. He should NOT be okay in a touya-less world this early game!!!! He's all alone in America goddammit!!!! Touya told him that his dream is bulshit this kid is about to dedicate his life to proving him wrong!!!!!! Anyways. Sorry Akitos chapters pissed me off BAD and Akito is the character I care least about in vbs that's how you know its bad.

moving on to AN's chapters and.... Let's be real, the moment I saw that An's chapters were both five minutes long I knew this event was gonna be bad. First off, I thought an accepting Kohane's break up was pretty interesting (because she has the ingrained idea in her head that Kohane will inevitably leave her, so an is honestly thriving off of the skill gap. can we pls talk about how this kid manages to have both a superiority complex and an inferiority complex at the same time???) but then I thought. Hey. this is AN SHIRAISHI girl you need to fight for your partner!!! Obviously an is emotionally mature enough to know "hey, if singing is gonna make Kohane wanna die I probably shouldn't push her to do it right????" But I would like to see An, who wants to be so so cool in front of Kohane, become completely desperate!! I need to see her go through the five stages of grief within 10 minutes over this girl she's formed a codependent relationship with and known for like two weeks!!! Again, this is where the time skips hinder the emotional impact a lot. ALSO. WHAT WAS THAT SHIT ASS ADVICE THAT KEN GAVE HER??? HELLO??? KEN????????? I believe that after kiuan they replaced ken with his evil twin because this guy is bulshitting parenting (which again. I would like to explore how ken has slowly morphed more into a mentor figure than a father figure but that's a 20k word fic for another time) An: "Hey dad I feel like I cant sing right ever since Kohane left" Ken: "Move forward" An: "Type shit" bro. that literally did not progress the plot at all I'm fucking crying. Anyways, An shiraishi in an aibou breakup scenario probably has the most going for her . can she please realize that her self worth is tethered to everyone she's been attached to??? That she's been chasing shadows her entire life???? Can we take a look on her relationship with music and how its shaped her into who she is??? CAN WE PLEASE DIVE INTO THE CONCEPT OF BEING NATURALLY GIFTED VS HAVING TO WORK TO EARN SKILL????? BECAUSE SHES BEEN TOLD HER ENTIRE LIFE THAT SHE'S A NEPO BABY SO---

ok okay and then kohane's chapter was suchhhh a nothingburger it was kind of sad I genuinely don't remember a single thing that happened in that chapter because it was a whole lot of the same sentiment repeated like 10 times. Anyways the route that I would have taken with her chapter was her feeling totally hopeless/?? In my rewrite at least I'm making her jump fully into academics to study and get a "safe" job to counteract her time w/ an. or even better Kohane still yearns for that connection she had with an, she still WANTS to feel special. like hear me out what if anhane were friends, but not singing partners. what if kohane's dreams are literally at arm's length and she refuses to take the leap and try again?? how would an feel about this?? but no lets make her talk to ichika and then make her think about an without diving too deep into her underlying insecurities of course!! /sar.
Also I wonder what the heck was going on in the street sekai when all of this was going down????? like is it falling apart?? are rin and len arguing all the time now???? When An and Akito talk they are all "I'm gonna surpass rad weekend" AKITO HASNT FESSED UP TO COVERING FOR KOTARO'S SABOTOGE YET BTW. LIKE AN SHOULD BE KICKING HIM IN THE BALLS BECAUSE IN HER HEAD *HE* IS THE REASON KOHANE BROKE UP W HER oh my gof
okay and then we get to the part of the event that truly made this event abysmal. I can accept lazy writing but the "it was all a dream" thing was just straight up BAD WRITING???? If their clothes are telling me anything, these characters have been in this "dream" FOR OVER A YEAR. MONTHS HAVE PASSED. you're telling me that when they find out they've been living a dream that felt so real their reaction is "hm.... I wonder if kens coffee will taste in this dream?" EXCUSE ME????? THIS IS MAKING ME SO MAD I MIGHT BREAK MY KEYBOARD. BUDDY YOU HAVE BEEN DREAMING FOR OVER A YEAR WHERE THE FUCK IS YOUR EXISTENTIAL CRISIS??????? and then when they get out of the dream they are like "wow I'm so glad that isn't real" ??????? HELLO???? I did enjoy what an said "well that was sad but doesn't it make you happy knowing that we all come together no matter what happens????" WHY IS NOBODY CRYING> BOY. and then everything that happens in this event has ZERO implications for the plot. it will never be mentioned again. hello. genuinely what.

"Rubber Duckies"

You are stuck with your studies and your research and you decide to use your crew members as rubber duckies to explain to them what you are doing in the hope of overcoming your writer's block. 
Words: 1023
Comment: This is something I wrote while I am really stuck. I hope his helps other people who experience the same right now or need a little motivational booster for their papers/exams. The whole fic is fluff with a hint at smut (Law and Kid just always leave me feral).
Let me know in the comments if I should add any characters.
Luffy
He would listen patiently the whole time, lowering his head, his eyes covered by his straw hat. After several minutes, you realize he has fallen asleep. When you ask him a follow-up question, he jolts awake and gives you his brightest, most infectious smile. Despite your frustration, you can't stay mad at him.
"It all sounds very complicated, Y/N," Luffy says. "But I believe in you, and I'm sure you'll excel at this. Now come here, we can cuddle and snack on some of the crisps I swiped from the kitchen!"
His boundless enthusiasm and unwavering faith in you, even when he doesn't fully understand the details, leaves you feeling a little less stuck. 
Robin 
As you explain your research question and methodology, Robin listens with rapt attention, her eyes never leaving yours. When you finish, she pauses thoughtfully before speaking.
"I think the only thing this study lacks is your confidence, dear Y/N," Robin says, chuckling lightly. Her words strike a chord within you - she has a way of cutting straight to the heart of the matter.
"Can I give you a hug?" you ask, feeling deeply grateful for her patience and wisdom. You know her insights have been invaluable, not just for this project, but for the whole crew.
Robin opens her arms widely and smiles at you. "Of course," she says, enveloping you in a warm embrace. At that moment, you feel the weight of your doubts and insecurities start to lift. Robin's faith in you is a precious gift, and it's exactly the encouragement you need to find the courage to complete your work and submit it.
Law 
You decide to explain your work to Law, hoping his keen analytical mind will provide valuable feedback. As you begin speaking, however, you can see his face growing increasingly impatient. He clenches his jaw, clearly struggling to hold back interrupting you.
When you finally finish, Law wastes no time in his critique. "I think the structure is off, Y/N. I don't understand why you chose this theoretical framework, and I'm lost - did you even have a research question?"
You gulp, suddenly realizing you may have forgotten to explicitly state your core research question. Law's piercing gray eyes have a way of making it difficult to maintain focus.
Seeing your flustered expression, Law sighs. "How about you give me the paper to read, and I'll go over it with a red pen?" he offers.
You nod enthusiastically, immediately moving to retrieve the document. "Not now!" Law interjects, grabbing your arm before you can turn away. A mischievous smile plays on his lips beneath his white hat.
"It may not be the best study," he admits. "But the way you've explained it, showcasing your intelligence, has left me wanting more."
Zoro
Falls asleep immediately. Despite your best efforts to engage him, Zoro remains unresponsive, his gentle snoring the only indication that he's still present. You continue talking, but it's clear you're essentially just speaking to yourself at this point.
In a way, Zoro has become the most authentic "rubber duckie" of all - the perfect listener, oblivious to the intricacies of your work, but providing a soothing presence nonetheless.
Sanji 
As you dive into the details of your research, you can't help but notice the adoring way his eyes are fixed on you. It's clear that Sanji is enamored, and would likely listen with rapt attention no matter what you chose to talk about.
You continue your explanation, confident that Sanji is absorbing every word, even if he may not fully grasp the intricacies of your work. When you finally conclude, Sanji erupts into enthusiastic applause.
"That was amazing, Y/N!" he exclaims, his face alight with genuine admiration. "You've done such an incredible job with this research. I'm in awe of your brilliance!"
You can't help but sigh, knowing that Sanji's feedback, while well-intentioned, isn't exactly the critical analysis you were hoping for. But as you look into his sincere, shining eyes, you also feel a sense of pride and relief.
Even if you haven't quite overcome your writer's block yet, having someone so genuinely praise your hard work feels like a reward in itself.
Eustass Kid
As you begin explaining the details of your research to Eustass Kid, it's immediately clear that he has little patience or interest in the topic. His brows are furrowed in what can only be described as an annoyed scowl, and he fidgets restlessly in his seat.
Despite his clear disinterest, however, Kid sits through your entire presentation, never once interrupting or trying to leave. You can't help but appreciate the fact that he's making the effort to listen, even if he doesn't seem to understand or care about the intricacies of your work.
When you finally conclude, Kid simply yawns and cocks his head to the side.
"So what's the problem with all this?" he asks, his tone bordering on disinterested. "Sounds like a solid piece of work to me."
You sigh, explaining to him once again that you feel stuck and unsure if you've done a good job. You're hoping for constructive feedback, but it's clear Kid isn't the right person to provide that.
Suddenly, Kid reaches out and grabs your hand, pulling you forcefully towards his chest. You can feel the warmth radiating from his skin as his low voice speaks calmly.
"You're asking the wrong guy about this, Y/N," he says. "I can't tell you if any of the things you did for this research make sense. But if you're struggling right now, I know a way to make you feel better..."
You blush as you realize the implication behind his words, and without further thought, you give in. Perhaps a brief break from your studies, spent in the comforting embrace of someone who cares for you, is exactly what you need to recharge and tackle the problem with a fresh perspective.

“You’re going to hurt your back if you keep hunching over like that.” Zoro told you as he looked over his shoulder to fix you with a meaningful look, amused to see you snap out of your trance to look up in surprise. It didn’t matter how many times he reminded you to sit up properly, you still ended up in this kind of position when you were intensely set on drawing in the sketchbook that was rarely far from your reach. He didn’t miss how your hand instinctively curled over the pages currently being worked on, protecting them from view but also using practiced care to avoid smudging the drawings. 
Zoro couldn’t help but note you were more protective of your sketchbook around him than you would be with the rest of the crew. Yes, you still would shield it initially from view but if asked you would reveal what you were currently working on. With him? You never showed it unless it was finished products on a canvas. Silently he wondered why he was different. Though he supposed he wasn’t one to ask outright compared to the likes of Luffy who was impulsive and excitable, Sanji, who gushed over the slightest thing, and even Robin who was naturally curious about art and anything intellectual. Compared to them, Zoro never felt the need to ask even when he did want to see your talent. “Can I see?” he asked.
You tensed in surprise and quickly let your gaze flicker to the sketchbook and back to his face. It wasn’t that you didn’t want him to see, it was just you weren’t sure how he would react. Hesitantly you pulled your hand away and let the pages be revealed to him. Zoro stepped closer and lifted the book into his hands, he’d seen how you held it enough times to know the proper way to treat it without ruining any of your hard work. Slowly he started at the beginning, taking in scenes you’d drawn from previous adventures on different islands. 
Some pages held detailed studies of plants and landscapes, each bringing out a memory for him, whether it of a vague feeling of relaxation or a stronger emotion as he recalled the hard won fights they’d engaged on. Most of the pages however he knew had been taken from some place on the Sunny, the focus being some, if not all of the crew. It didn’t take him long to notice that he seemed to feature more heavily than the others. He would be lying if he didn’t feel some sort of satisfaction at that. 
For the first time since you’d let him look at the very thing you were most precious about he lifted his gaze to see you were purposely looking away from him. “It’s not like you to be insecure, you’re talented. Why are you so nervous?” He asked, pretending to be oblivious. Part of him hoped you’d give him an answer he’d been hoping on. Zoro watched you lightly chew on your bottom lip as you tried to form an answer. Finally you cleared your throat.
“I’m not insecure about my skill…” You began simply, slowly building the nerve to look at the swordsman while also trying to stop the growing blush on your face. “It’s just I don’t want you to think I’m stalking you or anything, I know I’ve drawn you a lot.”
“You have?” Zoro couldn’t help the teasing tone creeping into his voice as he looked down at one page in particular that was a study of him training with his swords. “Hadn’t noticed.”
”Oh shut up!” You grumbled lightly, taking the sketchbook back into your hold. “It’s not my fault I can only draw things that interest me. It’s just how I am.” Quickly you clamped your mouth shut, the blush burning on your skin stronger now as Zoro grinned down at you, looking even more pleased with himself. He only wished he’d asked to see your sketchbook sooner had he known this was what he was going to get.

yeah, the issue isn't wanting the show to have a moral spelled out at the end or even that stol1tz is problematic.
the issue is that the show outright romanticizes its problematic ship - it isn't trying to be some character study of two messed up people without wanting the audience to come to any conclusions. It's blatantly obvious that the show is designed to make the audience think two things:
one: Stolas is only a tiny bit not really flawed and is basically the innocent wronged party in the relationship breakdown and 99% of the problems were caused by Blitzo and his insecurities and selfishness
and two: they actually want us to root for Stol1tz to work out.
and anyone who points out that they have no chemistry or that how Stolas started and continued the whole affair is textbook sexual extortion (something which the show has completely swept under the rug and refused to address) somehow gets accused of being a puritan or having low media literacy? even though critics are ones actually paying attention to the details that suggest stol1tz is a car crash waiting to happen and Stolas has been nothing but babied through the entirety of s2?? make it make sense
absolutely nothing about their duet in mastermind reads ironic, it's all terribly trite and sincere in expecting the audience to think their romance is tragic and moving. there's no reason to think the show is all that interested in exploring the dynamics of a messy relationship because the show outright refuses to meaningfully discuss the worst and messiest part of it except in passing i.e. the transactional deal. ffs, they spent all of apology tour calling Blitzo and Stolas "exes" when they never even dated. the show is outright rewriting its own history solely to avoid talking about the messy stuff because it would make Stolas look bad
also it's incredibly rich that people keep pulling out the "you just want a morality tale where you're told what to think, and that's bad writing!" card when this is literally what apology tour was. the show was outright screaming at the viewer to think that Stolas is the victim, that Blitzo is way worse than s1 had built him up to be and that Blitzo needed to apologize. the whole thing is structured around the moral of Blitzo needing to apologize and Verosika outright saying the point of the episode: "if you wanna change, say good for him (when he runs off to make out with someone else first chance he gets after claiming he loved you)"
I mean Blitzo basically says to the camera "the only reason I rejected Stolas was because the class difference made me insecure and I push away everyone who could care about me". it's incredibly blunt, garbage obvious storytelling
the writing isn't subtle at any other time (cough cough, Stella, cough) but suddenly when it comes fans asking why the writers aren't calling Stolas out for basically any of his shit suddenly the show is treated like some nuanced high art character drama where no one is allowed to openly discuss the sexual extortion shaped elephant in the room.
and it's blatantly not that. the closest helluva ever got to well done storytelling was in s1 and Viv flushed all that down the toilet the minute s2e1 happened
I still find it amazing how my post critisizing the fandom for not knowing what the actual critiques of the show are still holds up today. These are the kinds of fans that pretend that the highest amount of hard-hitting critique for Helluva and Hazbin comes from randos on tumblr when the critisicm these shows get extends far more than just tumblr. If anything, tumblr is less than a FRACTION of the people voicing their issues with the show.
And, if you actually payed attention to discourse surrounding the series on other platforms, mainly youtube....you would find people have far more nuanced critiques than "PROBLAMATIC = BAD!!!".
HELL, Sarcastic Chorus, one of the most popular Youtuers discussing the series, initially liked Stolitz BECAUSE of the problamatic elements, but he stopped carring for it because the show WASN'T ACTUALLY ADDRESSING THEM!!!!
But these fans focus more on trying to strawman critics rather than actually trying to meaningfully engauge with disscussion on the issues with the shows.
Because they can't handle people critisizing their favourite demon show.

so i've been wondering if you have any tips on writing characters in general. i feel like everytime i write, they're all the same (their internal dialogue are hardly different from each other) and rather boring and bland. do you have any advice for this issue? thanks <33
Hi, thanks for asking! It's a common challenge for writers, myself included, to create characters who feel vivid and distinct on the page—especially when there's a particular type of character that I enjoy writing more. This induces reluctance to explore and can make characters too similar in their mannerisms, quirks, and speech. Here are some tips to help you develop more dynamic characters:
Create detailed character profiles. Before you start writing, take some time to flesh out your characters. Think about their backgrounds, personalities, motivations, fears, desires, and quirks. The more you know about your characters, the easier it will be to make them unique.
Give each character a distinct voice. Pay attention to the way each character speaks and thinks. Consider their education, background, and personality when crafting their dialogue and internal monologue. Each character should have their own vocabulary, speech patterns, and mannerisms (see my post on character voices for more!).
Focus on contradictions. People are complex, and characters should be too. Think about the contradictions within each character. Maybe they're confident in public but insecure in private, or they're fiercely independent but secretly crave companionship. These contradictions add depth and realism to your characters.
Use character flaws. Flaws are incredibly important. They make characters more relatable and multidimensional, causing internal conflict and affecting their decisions, actions, and relationships. Give your characters weaknesses, insecurities, and vices that they struggle with throughout the story. These flaws can drive the plot and create opportunities for growth and development.
Explore character relationships. Characters are shaped by their interactions with others. Pay attention to the dynamics between your characters and how they influence each other. Conflict, friendship, love, and rivalry can all reveal different facets of your characters' personalities.
Give your characters goals. What does each character want, and what are they willing to do to achieve it? Their goals can drive the plot forward and provide insight into their motivations and priorities.
Consider the environment. Characters are influenced by their surroundings. Think about how factors like culture, society, family, and upbringing shape your characters' identities and behavior.
Allow for character growth. Characters should change and evolve over the course of the story. Give them opportunities to learn from their experiences, overcome challenges, and develop as individuals.
Read widely and observe people. Pay attention to how people behave in real life and in literature. Study how different authors create memorable characters, and consider what techniques you can apply to your own writing.

Hi Cal! I’m back, not with more emojis, because 120 pending requests? Damn that’s a lot! (Although I guess that’s what happens when you’re a super talented writer. So it’s kinda on you :p) I am here to wish you a huge congratulations on 100 fics on AO3!!!!! So many stories and they’re all bangers! It’s truly mind boggling so major props to you! I’ve been following your work since Batting a Buck and Change and have genuinely loved every story. I don’t know how you manage to write such creative and deep and funny and moving fics, time after time, without ever missing. But I’m very grateful that you do and that you share your work!

this is a character study(?) of Claudia from iwtv and Sally Bowles from cabaret because i love both of their characters and they over lap like alot. so this will contain a shit ton of spoilers for both, and i would just like to preface i’m not a writer by any means. anyway have fun reading!!
Starting I want to get into Sally Bowles's character first because I feel that her character is a bit misconstrued when people talk about her. Sally Bowles is an incredibly deep character that isn’t black and white like people want to make her out to be( which goes along with the claudianess). At the beginning of the play, we meet Sally as this confident woman who is a sex worker who moves from man to man. She’s able to talk her way out of any situation and carries this air around her. As we get deeper into the play we see the inner workings of her character and start realizing she is a deeply insecure character. She wears so many masks that she even has a fake accent. We see this all accumulate to the climax of the play where Sally and Cliff get into their argument and Sally leaves to get her abortion.
Now I did bring all of these up for a reason because Claudia and Sally Bowles are both women who spend their entire existence pandering to men. This isn’t me hating on Louis, Lestat, or Armand btw I love all of the characters in both IWTV and Cabaret. We do need to realize as readers though that while they were ALL wronged they were also ALL doing wrong in some way. So back to my point, Claudia spends her entire turning helping men, trying to fix men, and placating men.
Switching gears I'd like to mention Sally Bowles's sex work arc about Claudia. While Claudia is never necessarily a sex worker there is a parallel in the argument between Claudia and Louis and Sally Cliff. Claudia decided to join the coven after Louis thought she shouldn’t and armand found out about Lestat. Claudia goes back to their apartment and yells “What about you and me huh? Me and you?” and Louis says back “Well you picked the coven over me” In the cabaret right after Sally decides to go back to sex work to help make money for them after finding out she was pregnant they get into an argument, she aborts the baby, comes back, she’s talking to cliff, “ it always ends this way. even when i do finally love someone terribly. it’s still not quite enough…” and cliff responses to her with ”the only reason i’d leave you if there were not a baby.”
I’m going to move a little bit back in the play to talk about the songs “I Don’t Care Much” and “Cabaret”. Both of these songs are sung back to back right after Sally’s and Cliff's first fight, after which Sally decides to have an abortion. “I don’t care much” is a stunning song (mimifonseca did a cover on TikTok omg it’s so good) with such a heartbreaking message because this is the first time we see Sally vulnerable. This reminded me of Claudia's post seeing the first woman vampire burn when she was vulnerable and wasn’t speaking( this is also when Louis says if you were the last vampire on earth it would be enough).
This brings us to “Cabaret” which is sung by Sally Bowles. We the audience see Sally go through the stages of grief in this song ultimately ending with the phrase “I love a cabaret” which she yells into the mic and goes silent. This whole scene from the introduction via emcee and this being the only time we see Sally on stage by herself the entire play and it’s the only time she’s fully clothed. I can’t help but make the parallel between this and Claudia’s baby Lulu performances which led to her demise. To elaborate during Claudia’s Baby Lulus performance we see her start excited even though we as the audience know this comes from a place of mixed feelings because she doesn’t necessarily want to be in this position of playing a forever child, aka her life, for mortal entertainment. We see Claudia become more and more fed up throughout the different plays running until her confrontation with Armand. Where Claudia states “I am a fierce vampire stuck in a child's body. Made to relive it every night while the mortals laugh at me” This directly parels Sally’s first break in the song Cabaret when she says “I made my mind up back in Chelsea” and when she references her old friend passing and all the trauma she expired during that time. Claudia and Sally are both going through huge life changes are emotional straits yet it seems no one seems to care or downplays the importance of it directly to their face leading to these outcroves of pain. The entire end of the song and end of the play reminded me a lot of how the theater tortured Claudia emotionally at the end.
In all Claudia and Sally Bowles literally are the same person(I’m joking lol) but fr I love these characters and both of these shows/plays. This is just something silly because a couple of people wanted me to talk about it and I’m always done to yap. I wish I could have gone deeper into this but it would be never ending. I could talk forever about how their inner relationship dynamics are also really similar but that’s another rant.

Need a y/n x reader atp🫩 I’m studying to become a psychiatrist (did you know it takes 12-15 years of college to become one? Mira HAS to be in her 30s at least) anyway. Appreciate you for not changing y/ns personality throughout the story because for some reason a lot of x reader fanfics make reader some pathetic, naive, insecure little girl or make it so she’s cool at first, but then gets submissive and dumb. If you read wattpad stories I totally recommend reading “Sudden Interest” it’s a Chishiya x reader fanfic and reader is a BADDIE (she’s also a psychiatrist,but acts a lot like Chishiya) 
I’m actually speechless watching y’all love y/n so much. I’m trying my best, thank you and good luck<3
On the submissive and dumb characters, for some people I think it might be some form of emotional escapism. Writing the reader like that is a good way to satisfy the fantasy of being loved unconditionally despite your flaws, being protected, receiving validation from someone powerful. People are also lazy, and a character like that doesn’t have to do shit, they get handled both in the relationship and in bed if the fanfic gets to that. Also most writers are young and inexperienced.
Anyways, I know you probably don’t, but this goes out to everyone—don’t hurt writers. Being problematic on purpose—without some obvious mental problem to be the cause—that’s a reason, but gently warning them that it’s not okay is just enough, no need to be mean. Being dumb, young, inexperienced, untalented is NOT a reason to be an asshole.

Momentum by children_of_the_shadows (ao3) 259k
If you have to ready any canon compliant (mostly) marauders through the years fic, this is the one, Children_of_the_shadows is one of the best writers ever, Top 3 fic authors.
2. Text Talk by merlywhirls (ao3) 141k
Everyone knows text talk, it's basically wolfstar bible, Non Magic AU where the boys meet by accidently texting the wrong number.
3. Time is a Fine Invention by bluepeony (ao3) 105k
Brilliant university non magic au, with the most imperfect and human characterization of both Remus and Sirius, read it if only to humanize the both of them and their relationship. Insecurity in a relationship and Coming of age and all the thoughts accompanying it are perfectly described in this. so much foreshadowing if you read it carefully enough.
It'll make you hate and simultaneously empathize with both characters.
4. Slughorn's Sanitarium for Troubled Boys by MelloPie 65k
TW: discussion of mental health, SA, institutionalization, ab*use, s*icide, self h*rm.
Non-Magic AU, set in a mental institution, where both noys have to share a room. Its one of the first long fics i ever read, so maybe i have a soft spot for this one, and every other fic on this list.
5. The Lad That Loved You. by MollyMaryMarie (ao3) 81k
I've said this once and I'll say it again, mollymarymarie is one of the best writers out there, another top 3 author for me, all of her fics are amazing, obviously including dear you holiness, we can pretend, the only living boy in new york, i might have to do a separate recs list for that.
But, if you had to read just one, i would say The lad that loved you is the perfect one, set in their 6th or 7th year? of hogwarts, they hide their new relationship by acting like they hate each other, and let me tell you, they are exactly, perfectly themselves in this fic, and by that i mean exactly how i imagine them.
There is not one single thing about this fic that i would change. Perfection.
6. Discards by picascribit (ao3) 76k words
I can't make a fic rec without picascribit. Cure for nightmares changed my life. Non-magic AU, Remus meets Sirius in the library he goes to study at, real love isn't always perfect and doesn't involve perfect people, is what i've take away from this fic.
7. ten reasons (to go to michigan) by greyeyedmonster18 (ao3) 59k
Top 3 Fics. If you had to read any wolfstar fic, it would be this one. I've read 100's spanning from 2016 - till date, and this is the best one ive ever read.
Remus is newly divorced, and he meets Sirius Black.
If you've ever lost someone one and had to re-learn how to live without someone you never thought you would have to live without, this fic will encapsulate the gist of it in words.
In one of their notes the authors says something close to 'the hardest thing about losing someone is finding out that the earth keeps spinning and you have to keep living'
8. Dating Remus Lupin by Children_of_the_Shadows (ao3) 83k
Top 3 fics. I can't explain this fic in any words, the writing style is brilliant, the characterizations are unique and wonderful and perfect. Everything about this fic is brilliant.
Set in Year 5, Sirius Black wants a boyfriend and James tells him about the only other openly gay boy in in their year, it just happens to be Remus Lupin. Much to his disdain.
9. Remus Lupin's Guide to Successful Courting by Children_of_the_Shadows (ao3) 87k
Non Magic AU, Remus Lupin finds harry in his yard having escaped from school and return him back to Dr. Sirius Black, who's new to town and coincidently doesn't have an inkling about Remus's past, his eyes clear of any judgement are what make Remus fall for him and pursue him, court if you will.
I again cannot explain this fic. Children_of_the_shadows is the most talented writer, i will make a separate fic list for their other brilliant work.
10. Sex Pistol by ArtificialAorta (ffnet) 86k
Musicians AU, Remus is punk rock, Sirius is akin to the prince of pop, how can they not fall in love?

I’ve just finished episode 8 and man I could say a lot about it but I’m sure plenty of other people put it into better words. Safe to say it had be shaking. As someone who studies history and actively participates in doing their best to be educated about things happening around the world I saw it coming and it was just as devastating and horrid as I expected it to be. But what I loved most was Syrils reaction
I always love/hated this guy. He was so pathetic and a loser but I found it charming. Andor writes their characters so complexly and finds a way to get you interested in even the worst people.
I like that they make the terrible people human, because it’s a reality. These horrible people aren’t super villains, they’re not mustache twilling individuals. They’re people who are actively making these decisions of hate and harm. By humanizing them we hold them accountable.
But I love how all of this started because Syril was this guy obsessed with Justice, believing that is what the empire delivers. He gets caught up on a murder case no one really cares to look into and he becomes so obsessed and eventually Andor becomes apart of something bigger, dragging Syril into it. Following him, joining Dedra, his insecurities and obsession of Justice is used against him, prayed upon. For years he believes he’s working to protect the Ghorman from outside aggressors, but in reality, he brought in the aggressors. And made a narrative for the empire to take advantage of.
And when he finds out OOO. When he finds out OOOO. The genuine disbelief, the anger, and when he sees Cassian my goodness. He’s lost it, he sees cassian as the single thing that brought him into this mess, that led him to being manipulated in such a way. And then cassian pulls a
“Who are you??”
I gasped at that scene realizing that yeah, Cassian has no idea who this guy is. This guy who is the main reason the empire even knows about him. The guys who’s been tracking him all his life. And the way he trembled when he realizes as well. Oh my gosh his face. And then boom. He’s dead
Man. Were you a pathetic loser but you were such an interesting and complex character. I hate and love you so much. Even seeing his mom cry brought me some emotion like his mom’s an ass hole but goodness andor. I love you writers. Kissing you on the mouth (with consent of course.)

CHARACTER STUDY: Darkwing Duck, Representation of the superhero or the insecure man?

INTRODUCTION
Good morning / good afternoon / good evening, whatever time you are receiving this, I hope you have been keeping up with your sleep schedule, and we are back with some loose ideas for characters in an animated comedy show. I apologize for the delay, it is difficult to have good plans to express the ideas that are lingering in my poor memory. I will probably mention some of my own ideas to explain some information. So be prepared for me to hide parts of the story or make jokes with double meanings among readers and acquaintances of mine who mentioned the entire plot. Without further ado about this post for the holidays, let's face the night duck!
IMPORTANT WARNINGS ABOUT SENSITIVE CONTENT: MENTIONS OF LIKELY COPING BEHAVIORS AGAINST BULLYING OR RECURRENCES SUCH AS GRIEF AND LOW CONFIDENCE.
DARKWING DUCK SERIES - Taking everything the show SAYS for itself
Darkwing Duck, aka, Drake Mallard, is the central protagonist of the series' story along with his social circle, both family and local criminals. The series will not have a direct say as it did with the rest of the characters, no, no, that would be too much luck. A conclusion, out of curiosity, of an art project by Tad Stones and Bob Kline called “Double O Duck”. Moving on to the story before, he became a considerably clumsy crime fighter. A visual sample is given in the episode entitled.
“The Secret Origins of Darkwing Duck” was nothing more than a parody of the great Superman, but to summarize the content. The young Drake was sent to Earth by the destruction of his planet along with Negaduck where the young duck spent his time training to face the opposing duck (it's a very short summary, sorry). The parody sequence was cut, in relation to the episode “Paraducks” where Darkwing made a paradox that made his younger self need help from his older self to face a group of troublemakers and shoplifters.
Ironically, this version reunites with the continuation of his childhood to adolescence, following the episode “Crash Reunion” where they confirm that Drake Mallard himself studied and was bullied for a considerable time by the former Megavolt entity, Elmo Sputterspark. In many parts that are searched separately will complicate to a difficult level and to put together independent material is worse Going, but hold on there because I will do you a favour with the notebooks (be careful, I had to cut the technical part so as not to give away spoilers that will be used in the Purple Union AU universe).
DARKWING DUCK FANDOM - Building everything that was formed for the fans together with the most indirect interpretations perceived in my participation when writing or drawing with lore
Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard is a character as popular as the other characters in his cast. Of course, some more and others a little less, however, both the protagonist brings enough mystery and characteristics to attract all types of writers and fans, from the series to the comics from 2010 to 2024. I also love the dynamics and stories involving Darkwing, it has the essence of 80s-90s comedy, the animation is one of the few in Disney's transition period. The story behind the character, however, is what gets me because there is nothing to deepen his life before the series and the comics. All the events that readers get are after his entire life, even more so with some rumours that make you stop and think about what exactly happened to make everything go wrong for DW.
At this point, just like Megavolt, I have some points regarding the development and carelessness of the narrative in addressing some themes. For the character Darkwing Duck, it goes much further than what is done with any other character. The character suffered from what I call the “clean formula.” Why this name? The answer is simple: it is exactly every piece that leads to a direct influence on the character’s mind, and in the next episode it is partially or totally undone to continue with the script of a single episode, which is somewhat exaggerated? Yes, my explanation makes it seem that way, but going deeper, I might be able to convince you of this point.

DARKWING DUCK/DRAKE MALLARD - Story adapted without extreme spoilers, just adding the changes, ideas on his biological identity and influence:

With the introduction of the character in the Ducktales universe in 2017, there were many doubts. Not only him, however the other characters in his show suffered with the drastic change, involving all the participants and some actors such as Jim Starling, the former Negaduck. Drake Mallard is also an actor, replacing the original Darkwing Duck, who was Mr. Starling. And as we know, the character tried to get revenge and regain his great role of glory. The aspects related to his family are left open regarding the relationships before Launchpad, Fenton and Gosalyn. The changes were not that many, to a certain extent the changes make the character follow the line of his development as in the original series.
Focusing on his future, while the aspects that need to evolve arrive, positively or negatively, as the character has his moments as a hero. Or, in some cases, a not very responsible personality as a night watchman and experience will seek his responsibility as the criminals appear. In the description most often used in some of my or shared ideas, it is Drake Mallard working as a member of the acting team. Either directly as a protagonist or as an employee for effects and preparation for filming, involving everything from makeup, improvisation to editing after filming. When he is no longer active in the studios, since the events of Ducktales “The Last Adventure”, Drake Mallard came into contact with SHUSH due to some missions involving local superheroes and criminals. For now, he tends to work alone to face the big personalities of Saint Canard, he was just a vigilante until the arrival of new characters that can directly affect his way of thinking or acting (for now this part will be cut, but it is related to some future AUs with my help in the main art).
One point that was added is that Drake's childhood significantly influenced many things in his life. His family, especially, and being a little more specific about HIS ABSENCE in his life story, the character here carries many mysteries about how this happened. In the past, together with Elmo, Drake was tormenting so much that he continued in the current storyline. People hardly expect anything good from him. Although, he managed to have good influences. Such as his mention of the old show, it is an idea that I add that the series was originally presented by his father before the events that gave rise to his last events. It is a case of almost hyperfocus / a fascinating on the character, even with the near-death incident for Jim Starling, who previously became an idol. The meaning behind it did not disappear, as it was the memory that gave him his true motivation, even with everyone who does not trust him or sees him as useless (remembering that he had his ups and downs and is not confirming anything). There was a difference in Drake's portrayal of the character, who carries enough for his life and dealing with situations that put him down, very different from Elmo, who carried repressed anger until he exploded in full fury. The point is that the show would have meant much more family than directly the actors involved, not disregarding the event of nostalgia. Of course, Drake is an old guy, although the notes make him about 5 years younger than the original.

DEVELOPMENT:
One fact that I note as responsible for the brief evaluation of most DWD viewers goes far beyond opinion. Even though it influenced a good part of the critics of the time and even today, with how they deal with the program as a whole and even in the approaches given to recent writers (there were some situations of writers coming and going, I recommend doing more research if you are interested in the behind the scenes). The main fact is that I reached a conclusion after reviewing the episodes in English three times, the fact is the script style of the episodes, no, no, calm down! I'm not saying that the episodes made are bad. I love every questionnaire for the writers who didn't drink too much caffeine- I love the style, the fact that I enter is considered the atmosphere of the first pilot of the show.
“Darkly Dawns the Duck” was the first episode I looked for when I still didn't know the program. I initially came from the beginning of the release of Ducktales 2017. A fact that makes me only look for the episodes to review, it is directly about the atmosphere. The first episode mixes the tone of comedy and the tone of seriousness with balance. The scenes in which Taurus Bulba appears have always had an air of villainy worthy of a film by the studio, and without a doubt one of the few in the series that challenge Darkwing Duck's inner concern. Once again, this mood returns in a tone similar to the episode “Steerminator”. My sense of production is affected due to ADHD (and in the current situation I feel like I'm going to leave with another diagnosis, so get ready to deal with an imperative or “inattentive” young woman). Without losing the point, I say that Darkwing Duck could have followed the line of these episodes. Not just the constant continuity made from the comics and double episodes, in general, it would have been a big difference if it were remade in modern times. There is a fan universe that Beatriz (@zelda-cooper) and I made called “Classic” where we redid some changes in the 1990 Darkwing Duck series. One of the main ones was the mood of the episodes, of course, there are still great moments and development thanks to the tone of the comedy and some silly moments of family banter. However, one of the main differences is in the atmosphere and some changes in the events involving the character's life against crime. In the same way that he got some moments right, there were times when he was irresponsible due to his behaviour, an example? We have directly the degradation of his relationship with the main team of the Fearsome Five, there were ugly fights, there were threats. There were also events related to the appearances of these criminals and the main point that I will mention as a bonus is his origin story, yay! So will we have a mini Drake? Yes, my child, feel free to give an excerpt of the ideas that I wrote down in the notebooks for both the shared universes and the LYG AU.
Eliane and Musson Mallard are the names I chose for the characters that represent Drake's parents. The essential information is that Eliane had a job outside the home, and it was thanks to it that she met Musson. And, let's say, this job was not the most conventional for someone looking for a quiet family. Well, here is the first step towards a stubborn personality like Drake's could have been influenced thanks to a rebellious woman after World War II. She had a job, personal items, access to difficult equipment and had such a strong personality and was committed to bringing security to people. Hm? Was it golden with a young protagonist who would confidently lead her story? Yes, Eliane was a mix of a friendly, caring personality for a person who had high confidence and a desire to find solutions. Musson, he was created taking as reference the silliest traits of Drake, the real Darkwing Duck, besides the mask, he was a goofy, clumsy, not very mature or with a sense of being a common person. I hope the small excerpt I removed is understandable. One point I tried to make is that Drake directly had or could have had the influence of a person as eccentric as his future self, but without the “Paraducks” part. In this version, it was his own parents who inspired traits of his older personality. So, where were they both in the end? Unfortunately, as a good writer and artist, we must have the courage to put the blade to the fate of OCs, like Bruce Wayne. The Mallards' deaths are unknown. Drake still doesn't remember them completely, it was right when they left. In this space, so, created the participation of another character called Dap, Daphine Mallard, who was her little brother's legal guardian during his elementary years until the end of high school, and where is she? Unfortunately, the two don't talk to each other for a small reason linked to the X of all the character's relationship conflicts, LACK of communication.
CONSEQUENCES
The only point that raises doubts and raises some questions in the minds of fans is directly related to Drake Mallard's self-destructive personality. Individuals with events marked by high stress or lack of freedom to deal with things go through many things in their lives, and this goes from reality to fiction. Mourning, bullying, low self-esteem and anxiety are the main points that I found when reviewing the character's ups and downs. Maybe it's not so obvious, I thought at first that it was just an idea in my head until I became aware of some thoughts from Darkwing's own artists and writers. Officially or from fan activities, it is an essential fact to relate to the beginning and end of a journey. The problem that marked it was exactly this jump back to the passage of the character's development, the difficulties, and traumas were not completely resolved, they still remain in the imagination and vision of the purple duck.
What makes me believe this is reviewing episodes related to the character's mind. “Dead Duck” is the most famous and once again made characters free to work on these points for the vigilante, but let’s leave my opinions aside and get to the questions. Why exactly did Drake never have the courage to properly fix his past relationships? Who did this directly affect? We see this among everyone with Morgana, their relationship is often cut short due to the recurrence of the lack of communication. Darkwing does not respect his partner’s wishes, interests, and even requests at times, and we regularly see that situations lead both her and him to embarrassment. They think that Gosalyn could escape, in reality it is the complete opposite. Gosalyn clearly carries the hero’s motivational point, his reason for being rises and returns to the fight regardless of his original state. However, “Darkwarrior Duck” is not far removed from the imagination of some and possibly of the child who had to see his father as a worse criminal than the main cast. And it is hardly said between the hero and his insane counterpart. How do they deal with this? The answer is that we rarely have direct answers in the show, and this does not fail to bring thoughts for the fans to make.
RELATIONSHIPS
In the end, Darkwing Duck is a show chosen for children, as every company does with its cartoonish characters. However, here are some things from the point of view of a slightly older fan. The main characteristic of posts like this is to bring something original from a different line. According to the observations they left, whether serious or not. Between the lines of the show, those involved in writing Darkwing Duck still brought great things that can be used in the imagination for the present day. Feel free to disagree or correct some points, just like any artist. I am open to having opinions to develop and have better results. The character's relationships vary mainly according to the author's objective. One pattern, by chance, is the perception of how much could be deepened how much Darkwing Duck relates to his family and friends. How close he is and his strengths and weaknesses, even with all the duck's appreciation for them. Also, the parallel of his personality with the fearsome ones, there are some characteristics that have a sequence of being too specific with the opposing choice, some ideas below.
CREATIVE WRITING: What ideas can be worked and how can each one fit in?
RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE SUPER VILLAINS:
The best place to start is with the lowest expectations, when there is a group against the character's difficulties. Do you remember when I said that you could explore the superhero's similarities and differences with his villains? I'll give you a less visible example: Quackerjack. The character can be a counterpoint directly related to his stubbornness and inability to change, as he gets into his mind and is seen in episodes that require dealing with new information or new relationships. The same reasoning goes for Liquidator, and his greed. The mutant's character is directly related to greed for objects, but Darkwing could very well be related to indirect greed, the accumulation of things, his interests versus the needs of others. Did the examples help? In this regard, just take the opportunity to play around with how well his dynamics can work to maintain his stability and sense of duty. At the same time that he needs to face figures that remind him how close he is to being someone as crazy as evil, he has the strength and skills to his advantage in the fight. As far as it can serve for other points, such as the degradation or approximation of their dynamics, feel free to here.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS:
Gosalyn is her daughter, despite being adopted, she is everything to her character, she is her motivation, her responsibility, and the fact mainly of some episodes. Her concern for her safety, from the smallest to the biggest troubles that she follows looking for help, her only relative, Drake Mallard under the mantle of Darkwing Duck. Their dynamic has many moments of comfort and affection, as well as learning over the course of some episodes. Sometimes, will she ever grow up, and how long will it take until she wants her independence? Will Darkwing/Drake be okay knowing that she can follow in their footsteps after so many arguments? There are many approaches to be made, from the adoption process, the trust being established, to the moments when both get into arguments due to lack of communication and. Speaking directly about this, Morgana Macawber was said to be the character's final romantic partner. Having only one problem that leads to many others, does Drake trust her? Does Drake really care about trying to bring her the comfort and trust that she deserves? Of all the episodes, inconsistency, and fights more than support and support, but how would it be working on its point? Did the two resolve it? Will Drake and Morgana be sincere enough to be reciprocally boyfriends, or a step further, as married? And what is the mother-daughter relationship between the witch and the hockey troublemaker like? Dig deeper! This is the best idea to play with, and there are no answers other than those I agree with when discussing with others. The dynamic also applies to friends, they can either have access or none of your identity.
NON-INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH STRANGERS:
The point that begins another similarity with some Fearsome, this time to the beloved Bushroot, Darkwing Duck is not great at keeping things private or completely safe unless necessary. One point that marks the attention sensor is his need for approval to a significant degree. However, what would it be like for the character when there are still no people who care about him beyond the closest ones, who are his friends and family? The development of a prepared hero is when he recognizes his ability as a guardian for people, but still knows what is important to keep everyone safe. Well, those he can reach, remember the brief end of Bud Flud, right? Of course, there wouldn't be all the responsibility of the character, however… if Darkwing Duck was responsible for some problem or mistake to someone innocent? How much would the common people not pull his feet? If all the attention and admiration he wanted to get were enough to make him worried and even panic about having his head on the news posts, “Is Darkwing Duck truly an ally or a threat to propagating these lunatics with powers?” Don't be afraid to be creative or a little dramatic, it is a point that allows for many points to be explored regarding the common personality and how one or the other influences the fate of Drake Mallard.

As far as everyone who is anyone is concerned: Steve Harrington doesn't know anything at all about monsters or other worlds. He doesn't care about the girl who died in his pool (doesn't know that that's where she died, or when she died, and certainly doesn't know how she died). He doesn't know the Byers family, outside of that one confrontation that left him eating shit on the pavement, and he certainly doesn't know the intricacies of how Will Byers died and then didn't die at all actually. The mysterious stray dog who saved Will Byers and helped recover Barb's body, on the other hand? Well, that guy is In The Know and a local hero to boot, at least among those who are also In The Know. Steve tells himself that it's stupid to be jealous of his own alter ego. That it's better everyone not know, that they wouldn't believe him even if he tried to explain. But fuck if it doesn't make things complicated.
