Everything here is personal opinion, more based on vibes than anything, like, loud and weird effects and fast feel over lyrics

I feel like vocaloid is a great genre for this, bc there is some crazy things you can do with effects if you do not need a human singer who need to breathe and basically has infinite range, and generally a lot of producers go pretty hard on effects anyway.

Warning that a lot of these are loud, uses weird sound effects such as screaming and cover dark topics.

1. HITO Mania - Haraguchi Sasuke feat. Kasane Teto

Warning: there are some very loud sound effects here including things banging, screaming and people saying “fuck” loudly. The first one is literally 3 seconds in, I won’t make a full timestamp but don’t blast it full volume with both earphones in bc it’ll feel like a hammer to the head.

Yeah the main reason I chose this one is bc the screaming and loudness and general weirdness, but the lyric also fits:

This producer’s style does feature a lot of the very noisy sound effects, so I think a lot of his other songs also fit, but this one particularly, I feel like it’s loud enough to drown out The Voices tm

2.Rabbit Hole - DECO*27 feat. Hatsune Miku

Warning: Suggestive themes, both in the song and MV

It’s pink, it’s catchy, it’s got a bunny girl and it’s very slaanesh

3. •utlaws - Masarada feat. Kasane Teto

Warning: Starts with a loud, blaring horn noise, and is just overall quite loud. There are also flashing lights in the MV

This song has loud and busy accompaniment with very rhythmic vocals with repetitive and sometimes nonsensical lyrics, so I think it’s more about the vibes than anything.

The amount of emotion they got out of a Vocaloid in the long passages is also quite impressive

4. MACARON - ATOLS feat. Hatsune Miku

Warning: flashing lights, suggestive content, the start is quite abrupt

This is an old song from the period where they could not make Vocaloid sound as human-like, which, and the whole song plays into sounding synthetic, which is something the producer does stylistically.

There is a very strong bass, and the whole song is made to sound synthetic on purpose, which coupled with the speaking from the pov of a macaron thing makes it quite creepy.

4. Twenty-three- JUSF Zhou Cun feat. Luo Tianyi

This is the first of a series of five works the producer wrote about Julius Caesar, and uses a fusion of classical and EDM style. The title refers to the twenty three times which Caesar was stabbed. The whole thing feels like a fast-paced dance.

There is a lot of metaphor comparing stabbing and love, and alludes to the assassination itself as a dance. Some of the lyrics is also a bit of a double entendre. And the whole Rome thing fits the theme do WH pretty well I mean

5. Monstrous Flower - Nakiso feat. Hatsune Miku

Warning: suicide/suicidal ideation

This song was written for Project Sekai, and this version is the official Vocaloid cover. I picked this over the other version bc a) Kaito sounded really bad in that one, per PJSK tradition and b) I really like the contrast between the harsh banging sound effects and with Miku’s very delicate voice

This song is less loud more so uncanny, with the very cute voice and art contrasted with the strong bass and sound effects.

Favourite band: NIИ, definitely popular and fairly well known, most popular in the industrial music scene I'd say, people usually know closer and maybe head like a hole

Favourite producer: JUSF周存, chinese vocaloid producer, definitely one of the most popular ones on the scene but the problem is that the scene is very small. Literally never met anyone irl who knows the vocaloids let alone the producer. Banger music tho, electric, snth-y stuff with some classical elements, the five song album/ep about julius caesar is amazing

Actually those pictures I posted before were from my drawing video Lol BGM :大小姐和大少爷的反派生涯 A career as a villain for Miss big and the young master I'm very lazy so I didn't add English subtitles. 😂 The story is set by JUSF周存（The original composer）, I use her song for drawing rochu yao and Ivan are partners in a Mafia. Their Codename are“大小姐” （Miss big）and “大少爷”（the young Master ）. One day the boss sent them a same message ——"one of you is a traitor." They didn't know that the other one had reciven that news, so the seed of doubt had planed. The boss gave them a deadline, if no one admit that he was the traitor , both of them would be killed by the organization. In the end of the story, Yao（Miss big）told to Iván (young master ): "if you are the traitor, I am the traitor's best friend. "

Half and Half - ToriSama (a song about familial love! the melody is so pretty, and the pv is simple, but still very cute)

In the Centre of the Peculiar Storm - 和田野 (the pv is what first drew me in, and while it is a gorgeous pv, the song itself is gorgeous as well)
