It was nearing midnight in Jervis Tetch’s dimly lit lair, scattered with teacups, top hats, and ornate Victorian decorations. You had grown used to his whimsical, sometimes chaotic sense of decor, finding comfort in its odd charm. Tonight, though, felt different. Jervis seemed more energized, his eyes sparkling with anticipation as he fidgeted with his bow tie, clearly eager for something he had planned.
Finally, he turned to you, his gaze warm yet intense, a glint of something deeper hidden behind his adoring smile. “Darling, I… I have a rather special request tonight,” he murmured, the edges of his voice tinged with excitement.
You tilted your head, intrigued. “Oh? And what might that be, Jervis?”
He held out his hand, gesturing toward a Victorian-style garment bag draped across a nearby chair. “Would you… do me the honor of becoming Alice? My Alice?” His tone was soft but filled with a yearning that you couldn’t ignore.
You walked over to the garment bag, unzipping it to reveal a dress—a classic, powder-blue gown with a white apron, much like the one Alice wore in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Your heart swelled at the thoughtfulness of the gesture. He was entrusting you with a piece of his cherished fantasy, inviting you into his world in a way he never had before.
Smiling softly, you looked back at him. “Of course, Jervis. I’d love to.”
You could see his face light up as you slipped into the other room to change. When you returned, you found Jervis staring, his eyes wide with awe and admiration. “My dear Alice,” he whispered, taking your hand in his. “You’re perfect… as if you stepped right out of Wonderland itself.”
You couldn’t help but blush, and as his fingers intertwined with yours, you felt the depth of his affection radiating from his touch. The way he looked at you—like you were a dream come true—made your heart race.
Jervis guided you to a small, elaborately set table, complete with a dainty tea set and fresh flowers he’d likely picked himself. “A tea party for two,” he announced, pulling out a chair for you. “In honor of my Alice.”
You giggled as you took your seat, your fingers delicately wrapped around the handle of the teacup he poured for you. He watched you sip, captivated by the smallest gesture, as though every movement you made was part of a scene he’d dreamt of a thousand times.
“Do you know,” he began, his voice softening as he gazed at you, “I sometimes wonder if Wonderland isn’t a place at all. Perhaps it’s a feeling… a feeling I only seem to find when I’m with you.”
You reached across the table, your hand resting over his. “Then let’s stay in Wonderland a little longer, Jervis. Just the two of us.”
His eyes filled with emotion as he rose from his seat, coming around the table to stand beside you. He extended a gloved hand, which you took as he helped you up, pulling you close. The warmth in his gaze made your pulse quicken, and you could feel the intensity of his affection—an adoration as deep as the stories he cherished.
With his arms around you, he leaned in, brushing his lips against yours in a gentle, lingering kiss, his gloved hand cradling your cheek as if you were something precious and fragile. The intimacy of the moment left you breathless, and you could feel his heart racing in time with yours.
When he pulled back, his voice was barely above a whisper. “My dearest Alice… I’ve waited for this moment for so long.”
Gazing into his eyes, you brushed a lock of hair from his face, smiling. “Then let’s make it unforgettable.”
As he led you deeper into his Wonderland, you felt as though you were floating in a dream—a place where only you and Jervis existed, wrapped up in each other’s arms, bound by a love that transcended the madness of the world around you.

Dragifying rogues Pt 2. My favourites <3
Scarecrow and Jervis were the hardest to design given DC's extreme lack of consistency... But I'm really happy with how they turned out! My Jervis design has dwarfism, so that's why she's so short compared to the others (I'd love to see more disabled people in drag...:p). Scarecrow was inspired by mugler and runway fashion (imagine: scarecrow strutting down the catwalk and blasting you with 8000 nightmares worth of fear gas). Ventriloquist was inspired by Marlene Dietrich/noir. As you can see, scarface is just a mini her.

Dr. Crane yelling at the Arkham Asylum staff for removing the images from his presentation slides due to "triggering content," as though that was not The Entire God Damn Point.
I was wondering what Dr. Crane would do with the results of his fear gas research then I remembered that Arkham Asylum contains 90% of Gotham's scientific community.
Follow-up to my last Batman comic doodle.
#Jervis stans his fellow classic literature otaku#Harvey is just there for the participation grade#Dr. Crane was the only one who got anything out of their fun crime adventure before Batman threw them back into gay baby jail#Maybe the real treasure was the data we collected by nonconsensually drugging everyone along the way#Later a imageless slide appears titled “Test Subjects with DID". Down the Rabbit Hole

Characters:
Jervis Tetch (The Mad Hatter): The eccentric, slightly unhinged villain from the Arkham series. Jervis is obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, driven by his twisted interpretation of the story and haunted by his delusions. Despite his darkness, he holds an undeniable fascination and affection for the reader, seeing her as his "Alice."
Reader: Jervis’s "Alice" in his eyes, a woman who’s strong yet gentle enough to navigate his chaotic world. She cares for Jervis, understanding his inner turmoil, and is willing to indulge his fantasy, hoping to bring him a sense of calm in his madness.

The eerie glow of the dimly lit room cast shadows across the walls, the warped Wonderland paraphernalia twisting into strange shapes that almost seemed to move in the darkness. You took a deep breath, bracing yourself as you stepped further into Jervis’s lair, where clocks and hats adorned nearly every inch of the walls. It was unsettling to most, but you had come to know the man behind the madness—the Jervis who lived in the shadows and felt most at home in his own peculiar Wonderland.
Jervis was waiting, his eyes lighting up with delight the moment he spotted you. His grin stretched wide, but there was a gentleness in his expression reserved only for you. “My dear, my Alice,” he cooed, his voice taking on a honeyed tone. “Oh, how you brighten this dismal place.” His eyes roamed over you with an intensity that sent a shiver down your spine.
You managed a small smile, approaching him carefully. “You wanted to see me, Jervis?”
“Yes, yes,” he said quickly, nodding with excitement. He turned, gesturing toward a chair with an elaborate Victorian-style garment bag draped over it. “I… I have something for you. I thought—no, I hoped—you’d wear it… just for me.” He swallowed, his eyes darting back to you with an anxious, almost pleading look.
Walking over to the bag, you reached out, revealing a powder-blue dress with a white apron, a perfect replica of Alice’s dress. A part of you was startled by how much effort he’d put into finding something so accurate, yet it touched you that he cared enough to bring his vision to life with you in mind.
Taking a breath, you nodded. “All right, Jervis. I’ll be your Alice.”
The joy in his eyes was unmistakable as he waited for you to slip away and change. When you returned, the look of adoration on his face was undeniable. “Oh… Alice,” he whispered, reaching out to take your hand. “You… you look even more perfect than I imagined.”
You gave his hand a gentle squeeze, offering him a smile that made his heart race. “I’m here, Jervis. Just like you wanted.”
“Indeed, indeed,” he murmured, almost to himself as he led you further into his Wonderland-inspired room, his touch lingering on your arm. He reached into his coat, pulling out a tiny bottle marked Drink Me. “A toast!” he exclaimed, pouring a small amount into two delicate cups. He offered one to you, his gaze intense, like you were the only thing anchoring him in his fantasy.
You raised your cup, sharing a soft chuckle as you took a sip, allowing yourself to be swept up in the odd magic of his world. The drink tasted sweet and slightly floral, the faintest tinge of bitterness lingering on your tongue.
He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. “You’ve finally come down the rabbit hole, my dear. No more looking back.” He brushed his fingers along your cheek, his touch surprisingly tender, and you felt your heart skip a beat.
“Then let’s stay in Wonderland,” you murmured, placing your hand over his.
Jervis’s eyes sparkled with both awe and reverence, and before you could say another word, he leaned in, pressing his lips to yours in a kiss that was both hesitant and eager. It was as though he feared breaking the spell that bound you together but longed for the closeness he’d been yearning for.
Pulling back, he studied you with a wonder that was almost heartbreaking. “Alice… my Alice,” he murmured, his hand tracing your jawline gently. “Promise me you won’t disappear. That this isn’t just… a dream.”
Looking up at him, you placed a hand on his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath your palm. “I’m here, Jervis. I’m not going anywhere.”
That seemed to be all he needed to hear. He pulled you close, his lips brushing over yours with a tenderness that seemed at odds with the chaos surrounding him, and in that moment, you were his anchor—the only thing keeping his world from crumbling.
In his Wonderland, surrounded by darkness and dreams, he found solace in you. And as he held you, you found yourself willing to stay, to be his Alice, his tether to reality, and perhaps, his one chance at peace.

1920s Edward Nygma, A.K.A -- The Riddler! ( I will try to make this one slightly more brief lmao ) ☆ ETSY // COMMISSIONS
So when it comes to the Riddler, ordinarily, I always struggle with him aesthetically, because he doesn't have as much obvious themeing as "southern halloween" or "the entirety of alice in wonderland", and so I knew I wanted to take advantage of how severely I am rearranging all the rogue's aesthetics to give the Riddler something specific and time period appropriate to visually do, yknow?
In my mind, when I think of the Riddler I think of... technically winnable but highly tilted competitions of wit. Almost like a rigged game. That, combined with a very cocky "wise ass" personality. So! I knew pretty early on I wanted him to be a carnival barker! ( Puzzles and riddles and things of that nature were more common as a pass-time back then ) I considered giving him a straw boater instead of his usual bowler hat... but the bowler hat is so iconic to him and time period appropriate, so I left it. I think it still gives carnival owner, tbh, just a little more greasy than cute. Which fits, frankly. Yes, so although carnival imagery is associated with the Joker, the Joker is, of course, a silent film comedian ( in loving homage to his origin ), thus freeing up the funhouse for Edward. Although, he's no clown, he's more the one making a fool out of you.
Edward Nygma, as an orphan immigrant of Irish descent, came to America with nothing but the clothes on his back and his eyes on that shining city on the hill, the beacon of opportunity, and above all-- the land of meritocracy. Of course, however, reality set in after he stepped foot off the boat. It also didn't help the city he set foot in was Gotham. Despite being an engineering prodigy befit the rapidly industrializing city of the future, he ran into bad luck after bad luck, constantly seeming to stumble on his way up the ladder as opportunities slipped away and seemed to be given to-- in his mind-- less deserving men. With his frustration mounting, and a compulsive mind that never seems to let him let any insults to his pride go, it all comes to a breaking point when one of Gotham's biggest corporations scams him out of the patent for one of his innovations. Its only then does he finally realize what the "land of opportunity" really means.
Giving up on the "honest man" approach, Edward resorts to cheap cons, eventually building enough success to open a carnival of games, mysteries, snake oil, and of course, riddles-- Taking on the performer name "The Riddler" as a face for the event. A big, shiny bauble to lure in the dumb masses to willingly fork up their money to him. After all, if they were stupid enough to fall for it, they deserve whatever happens to them. However, this was all a front for the far grander scheme he constructs to take down the company who wronged him all that time ago. Because who would ever suspect a two-bit carnie could be capable of such a thing?
But, careful as he was, stirring trouble that big was enough to bring the attention of the Bat, eventually-- of course-- leading to the reveal that the Riddler anticipated their arrival and turned his carnival into a puzzle laden death trap. Even though Batman wins, because of course, he does incidentally ( or perhaps on purpose ) reveal to the public that the Ed is the real genius behind his stolen tech, thus leaving Mr. Nygma laughing all the way to the mad house. Even if he still doesn't get to own the patent.
Edward has a more... modern and subtle mental illness, being his OCD and other symptoms, and I feel a corrupt 1920s mad house that only vaguely cares to cure its patients would struggle to even understand exactly what the source of his more erratic behavior is coming from. He's constantly tense, speaks a mile a minute and for long periods, and is prone to sudden and aggressive outbursts of anger. They will likely acknowledge he seems obsessive, hyperactive, and prone to grandiose thinking but consider him a less hopeless case compared to say, Jervis Tetch.
However, his alignment lands him squarely in the anti-society section, thus aligning him with his soon to be sometimes-partners in crime, Jonathan and Jervis.
#( I struggle with the color green.... its my least favorite color.... so you have to#tell me if his color palette is looking good because i physically just can't tell lmao )#fanart#batman#gotham rogues#batman villains#Edward Nygma#The Riddler#Batman Scarecrow#batman Mad Hatter#Jervis Tetch#Jonathan Crane
