Here's my art challenges for the year! My overarching goal is just to crochet a different Pokemon every day, but these monthly challenges will help narrow down my choices.

I planned ahead of time, yay. Today's prompt was "Forest Guardian", so first thing that came to mind was a troll. Not sure if a troll really qualifies as a Kaiju, but it's big and eats people, so it's close enough.

I didn't draw the traditional troll-tail, because it'd just look like a long schlong.

Based on a photo I took on my phone in 2023. Didn't spend as much time on this one as the others - just a little over an hour. I've been asked to illustrate a children's book, and I've been neglecting doing that for a while because of burnout, so I should probably get back to the book now.

Juniper loves picnic season.

Jeri and Bill took Junebug to the WNC Nature Center to introduce her to her fellow wildlife.

She doesn't need to leave the house to see her favorite animals.

The unholy hours between dinner and bedtime can be challenging. Sometimes it's best to distract her with live music.

Art gallery openings are another good solution, especially when they offer free wine and charcuterie boards.

Somebody asked us if it was legal for a baby to be this cute, but the police refuse to do anything.

First post of Junebug, and it’s a classic: Centiskorch!

For the Junebug art challenge this year, I decided to pivot and draw bug-type Pokémon for the month. As a bug-lover in real life, this typing has many of my faves, and I figured it’d be fun to pay tribute to some of them! It’s also a nice way to introduce y’all to a simpler, more cutesy art style that I enjoy drawing in, hehe ^^
