Kazim looks like a typical goon at first, but then reveals to be something more - a guy with a mission, who's not afraid to die.

"Ask yourself why do you seek the Cup of Christ? Is it for His glory or for yours?"

Donovan and co. look for the Grail because if its power that brings eternal youth and life, but for Kazim the Cup is something more.

And you know, you can argue that the healing powers of the Grail that were attached to it were just a bastardized idea of what the Blood of Christ means to Christians. Putting aside the disputes about how Holy Communion is understood in various denominations, the bottom line is that the Blood of Christ was spilled for our sake. The Christ died for our sins and with us being aware of that we are to seek salvation in Him, which means renouncing our sins and bettering themselves. The eternal life will come to us at the End of Days.

But people who look for the Grail to obtain its powers, want a shortcut. They want an easy way for eternal life, while still being attached to their sins. They want salvation without the life of sacrifice, self-reflecation and the care of fellow man.

Even in Arthurian legends most of the Knights of Round Table weren't able to see the Holy Grail, because of attachments to their sins.

So Kazim and the brotherhood he serves want to prevent unworthy people, who look for shortcuts, from finding the Holy Grail. And he helps Indy only because doctor Jones isn't interested in Grail; he just wants to find his father.

Black Sails has been described as Game of Thrones with pirates

If Black Sails kicked off in 2020 instead of 2014, it certainly would have thrown fuel on the raging fire that was TikTok’s sea shanty obsession. The reality is that this TV series aired on Starz from 2014 for four seasons, coming to a close in 2017. So why is everyone talking about it now, a decade after it began?

Black Sails is coming to Netflix very soon, triggering its fans to emerge from the woodwork and promote the show online. ‘I am SO excited for people who’ll be watching this show for the first time,’ one user wrote, with many others recommending the series to fans of Game of Thrones. With House of the Dragon still a few months away, here’s why you should tune into Black Sails this month.

What Is Black Sails About?

Black Sails transports us back to 1715 – aka the Golden Age of Piracy. Set in New Providence, an island in the Bahamas, we meet the feared Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) who brings a new younger crew member into the fold (‘Long’ John Silver, played by Luke Arnold) as his crew continues to fight for survival and negotiate their space on the island.

Is Black Sails Based On A Book?

Black Sails was written as a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel, Treasure Island (1883).

Is It Based On A True Story?

While Black Sails isn’t based on a true story, it does trace real events. The first season focuses on the hunt for the Spanish treasure galleon Urca de Lima, a real ship that sank in 1715 near Fort Pierce in Florida (where it still lies). Season two traces the fallout of Urca de Lima’s treasure being stranded in Florida, strictly guarded by Spanish soldiers while pirates prowl the shores. The subsequent third and fourth seasons then look at the war for the control of New Providence between the pirates and the British Empire – a la Pirates of the Caribbean.

Likewise, some of the characters are based on real people. Real pirates fictionalised in the show include:

Anne Bonny (Clara Paget)

Benjamin Hornigold (Hakeem Kae-Kazim)

Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz)

Meanwhile, Captain Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) – who represents the British Empire in seasons three and four – is based on a real English sea captain and slave trader, and subsequently the first Royal Governor of the Bahamas.

Was Captain Flint A Real Pirate?

Captain Flint is a fictional character who was first created by Robert Louis Stevenson in Treasure Island. He has since appeared in multiple works of fiction, including A. D. Howden Smith’s Porto Bello Gold (1924), John Drake’s Flint and Silver (2008), Pieces of Eight (2009) and Skull and Bones (2010), and J. M. Barrie’s Peter and Wendy (1904).

Where Was Black Sails Filmed?

Black Sails was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, mainly inside at Cape Town Film Studio. Because the real city is so different today than it was in the 1700s, Nassau – the capital of the Bahamas, located on New Providence island – was built from scratch in a studio over a period of four months, as were two large water tanks to house the series’ two ships. Some scenes were filmed outside in and around Cape Town when new terrain was required, but most of the series was filmed on set.

So basically I was gonna answer this one, but I accidentally private answers to @kokoronbain

So here's my answer:

Okay, uhh chill gurl

That's a lot of questions u got there-

But I can answer that in possible way.

So first of all-

They all unfortunately not in the same universe (Except Goldy, Grosvenor and Gonzalo). According to my thoughts where I put them...

So yeah, Maddox was used to be in Wondergøtten, but it's unknown why he jump to another universe.

Second, relationships to each others

Goldy and Gronvor are known each other ever since they were young, especially Gonzalo. All of 'em equally acts like families to each other, but sometimes Goldy and Gronvor fights each other for a bet while Gonzalo tries to stop them and made a decision. They haven't seen each other after they grown up.

Between Goldy and Kazimer is likely similar to the past, but not sure if Kazimer by any chance to get into Goldy's universe since he's being forgotten by me (hehe..). But practically, he's just the same when seeing Paloma for the first time. Oh boy, better be careful right in front of Goldy himself.

Kazimer and Maddox doesn't met each other, not even a single interaction.

And lastly, I may not have a lot lore to say about it. But I can tell much what I have-

- Grosvenor's grandfather was used to be an orphan ever since he was born with no parents, only a coal flame when sun goes rise up. Soon he was adopted by humans that treat him with kindness. Which is possibly that his father come from his grandfather's genetic, but I'm gonna thinking about develop a strange species about Gronvor as his family genetics.

- Maddox was once a member of the House of Fortune. He was the first before the twins, having a deal with Orson. But in 10 years, the incident of the fallen Intemporelle Theatre happened. He was held captive to be meeting the Judgement. But one day, he escaped and steals one of the Great Sorcerer's inventions. He is nowhere to be seen..

- Goldy's parents are a famous dancer, but since they stopped as they wanted to retired. His triplets sisters, based on the lm3 universe, they are the magicians. But equally, they may or may not go to school because needing to their educations.

I do thinking that Maddox doesn't realize that Carmeni is in kirby universe. But uhh, someone better tell him before he gone coocoo crazy-
