i've never been in love and i don't know if i ever will (i'm arospec) but the height difference stories remind me of some of my friends. i'm 5"1' on a good day and most of my friends are taller than me. during the later part of the pandemic, one of my friends from middle school came over to bring my family some cupcakes and see our new cat. he's at least six foot and a good hundred pounds heavier than me. i remember running out onto the lawn and hugging him so hard i almost knocked him over and he lifted me off my feet. we don't talk much anymore but i remember this fondly.

i did hear about this. i wish i could stop hearing about this. the tl;dr of my thoughts on this pitch: it fucking sucked.

ive written out more in-depth thoughts here, a little here, plus got a cap of her saying some egregious bullshit (in my opinion) on twitter here. overall though my thoughts are "jesus fucking CHRIST this pitch was written by a white woman with christian religious trauma who doesn't know how to write about anyone other than herself". the red hair streak was literally just how she had her own hair.

it's also really unfortunate because people now act like she invented the idea of kon being transfem and that any transfem kon ideas must have been inspired by her. christianizing the superfam, pulling weird dna-makes-family shit with a random new "luthor-dominant" "brother" for kon, and nuking his relationship with the superfam to make him """"the jason todd of the superfamily"""" are all just. sorry. this is all just a steaming crock of horseshit. i'd rather not have a canon trans character if it comes at the cost of literally everything else about that character.

also for the record i think going "binary trans kon goes by connie" is stupid as hell. she should obviously have picked the name "wendy".

Identity

I've struggled for a long time to feel legitimate claiming space in the queer-o-sphere; I pass as cis-het, and there's not a flag yet that accurately represents my particular patterns of gender expression and attraction. But I finally figured something out, and I wanted to share it here, because I think it's the closest I've come in a long time to stating something unequivocally true about myself: More than I am queer-coded, I am Kermit-coded. I identify with that calm, loving, wry, frank, kind center of the Muppetverse, the eye of a particularly fuzzy hurricane of zany chaos: Kermit the Frog.

hey i've been reading through your fics and i just love them! i especially love your max and ash fics bc i am a sucker for parental relationships. i know you primarily write fix its but would you ever think about writing a like canon compliant one from max's pov about his like reaction to ash's death?

Thank you for the ask! I wouldn't be opposed to one day writing something like that, but honestly I have a lot of trouble writing fics where Ash dies or is dead. I think I've only really written one drabble like that in response to a request for Eiji visiting Ash's grave. (Here's the link!) I've also recently been struggling to write much at all, so I don't want to promise something that's so difficult for me to write quite yet. I'm sorry!

If you haven't yet, I really recommend reading this canon side content, which is a letter that Max wrote to Ash post-canon after Ash's death. Since I'm not able to write what you want for you at the moment, I wanted to offer you an alternative, and I really love this piece. I think it might help fill what you're looking for!

most memorable for me has gotta be the scene where Nancy goes to pick Mike up from a sleepover in your fic about them.

omg this is massive i thought that was going to be people's least favorite part because it was pre-canon but it was actually the first concept i came up with for that fic!! i was like okay we GOTTA have a baby's first sleepover meltdown moment. they mean so much to me <3 i love siblings, i love genfic, i love when my sibling fics are memorable to people.
