The irritation I feel every single time I see someone, or in our world or in theirs, minimize and ignore the huge amount of trauma Kevin Day went through is all time consuming.

Like how can you baby the other characters and fight for their happiness and then metaphorically spit in his face. As if he went through nothing. As if he wasn't in the same place Jean was for even more time.

Like what do you think he did? Played monopoly while getting a wonderful tan? He was abused, humiliated and manipulated too. Canonically, he went through a huge amount of direct psychological and emotional abuse. Canonically, he was beaten and went through physical abuse too. And, seeing as we don't have anything in his pov, we will never truly know what that place did or did not do to him.

You can't acknowledge only the pain of the ones you hold dear (in the real or fictional world btw).

Prompting: 02/26 to 03/11 - Anyone will be able to send prompts to our archive. So long as they are related to Kevin Day, any and all prompts will be accepted, including but not limited to NSFW, non-paired ideas, character studies, alternative universes, canon divergences and platonic pairings.

Prompts may be anonymous or signed. We leave it up to our prompters to pick whether they would like to be mentioned in the finished work or not.

NSFW prompts are limited to writers above the age of eighteen.

Your prompts, by default, must include Kevin Day as the main character or one of the main characters. Prompts unrelated to the fest's purpose will not be accepted. Have you ever played chess without a queen piece?

Claiming: 03/11 to 03/22 - Writers will be able to peruse our prompt archive and claim one for themselves through a form starting March 11th. Those who would rather write a prompt of their own must also fill in this form, and specify that their prompt has not been taken from the archive. A writer may claim a second prompt so long as they have already finished and drafted their first one. Not all of us can be a worldwide famous athlete while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and running an Exy team like the navy.

Writing period: 03/29 - 05/29 - Works must be above 1.500 (fifteen hundred) words to be submitted. The content of them is up for the writer to decide — we will not peform any kind of moderation on what topics can be breached or explored. Or if Kevin Day himself is breached or explored.

Posting period: 05/29 - 06/07 - Your work must be fully submitted by June 7th. Chaptered works must have, at least, the first part up. That means chaptered fics must have their entire chapter count up by then. We understand guidelines are hard to follow, so don't hesitate to ask for an extension if you truly believe you cannot make it, but try to pace yourself so that you are finished before one is needed. If, even then, you still need an extension, here's some words of advice: a queen is never late, everyone else simply is too early.
