Something about them bringing up Gerrard and him trying to friend buck on sm and Oliver talking about Buck ‘finding himself in uncomfortable situations and conversations and being forced to face himself in a way he didn’t expect to’ and talking about interactions with unexpected people in his interviews is making me wonder if we might see Gerrard again - and Gerrard says a few things to Buck that force him to look inwards and face himself and realise a few things.

I don’t know it was probably just a throw away line as a way to bring in the house conversation - but the fact that the house is a fixer upper and buck has to look inwards etc makes me think it’s not just about Eddie needing to fix himself but also buck and the connecting Gerrard to that conversation makes me think we will be seeing him again to help with Bucks arc!!

This is an excerpt from my piece for the TsukiYama BB that we've gotten the chance to post for Wip Wednesday! I'm really excited to get to share some of what I've been working on, it's the first event I've gotten to participate in for the HQ fandom! Without further adieu, have some pining volleyball nerds.

He glanced up from his own work when he'd heard Tsukishima's pencil stop. He wondered what question of their math homework managed to get Tsukishima to pull his eyebrows together ever so slightly. He watched— more than heard— Tsuki sigh, saw the way his lips parted around the small annoyed exhale. He rested his face against a loose fist, the way his cheek pooched out ever so slightly over the gentle curl of his knuckles was too adorable. Tadashi found himself mirroring the boy in front of him. "Something wrong, Tsuki?" He asked, tilting his head at him. "Problem 13, what did you get?" "I got 2 for 'a' and 'c', and 3 for 'b'." "That's not what I got." Tsukishima pressed his lips together, the distance between his eyebrows narrowing, creating a small furrow between them. Tadashi longed to reach over the table and smooth out the wrinkle forming between his best friends eyes. In lieu of that, he opted for the next best thing- trying to help him with his math instead. He propped his hands on the table and leaned forward. "Let me see," he said, craning his neck to make sense of the upside down formulas. Tsuki slid the paper forward so he didn't have to lean as far over the table, but he lingered, savoring the proximity of his face to Tsuki's. As expected, Tsuki didn't rotate the page around, and also as expected, Tadashi couldn't do math upside down. He at least pretended to try really hard to decipher it. "Sorry," he chuckled after a few moments of squinting and staring at the paper, "I don't know why I thought I could read it like this." He smiled apologetically. "It would have been pretty impressive if you could." Tsuki's features relaxed, a small smile finding its way onto his lips. Way too amused watching Tadashi struggle to help him, not that Tadashi minded. He didn't mind a lot, as long as he got to see Tsuki like this. Tsuki shifted, uncrossing his legs and stretching them out under the table, opening up just enough space for someone to squeeze in next to him. And just like that, he took the golden opportunity Tsuki unknowingly granted him. He found himself thanking math for the first time in ever. "Let me come around to your side." Without waiting for a response he shifted onto his knees and shuffled around to Tsuki's side of the table. It was a pretty small table—Tadashi remembered Tsuki getting it when they were in middle school— and they both had long legs. It was inevitable that their legs would brush against each other. Despite mentally preparing for the contact, when the outside of his thigh found Tsuki's as he readjusted himself to allow him to sit, he couldn't stop the heat that bloomed on his cheeks. The simple touch scrambled his thoughts, making it hard to keep his mind from wandering away, let alone force it to do math. "Right, uhm, so," he willed his vocal chords to say something, anything, before his silence stretched on for too long, probably several octaves too high from normal.

Hey, I was wondering if you create headcannons for the Blush Blush boys. If so, I was wondering 👀

Can you describe how any of the immortal characters (Stirling, Seth, Reece?, Aki, Haru, Fuyu) would react if their SO/MC/Love interest reincarnates after they die of old age for example?

I’m a huge fan of reincarnation x immortal stuff, cause it gives off a happy ending and hope that their love will never die even if they’re reborn in a different time💖

I wanna start at the top by saying I think all of them freak out at least a little bit when they see their long dead lover seemingly up and alive again

I'll get into each one individually but needless to say, it's a bit of a shock to the lot of them

also I did a thing about The Immortals dealing with your death (that I will but a link to here later but right now I can't be bothered to shift through my many bullshit posts to find it atm OOPS SORRY)

I think he's gone through this too many times and loves the drama of it all too much to ever have him claim that he will never love again after you (at least not forever)

but suffice it to say he doesn't think he'll ever have a love like you again in any of his life times worth of living he has left to get through

he also didn't become a vampire to kick the bucket quickly nor does he think he'll be headed in the same direction as you when he eventually does so he's in no particular hurry to 'follow you' as it were

so he has made his peace with forever longing for you and eternally mourning your passing a little bit all the time

I think he's the handsome yet mysterious man who is romancing you and he doesn't fully let anything slip until one night you stay over and you find a painting of what is definitely but also so not you on the wall

cue him finding you staring at it and accidentally scaring you

only to calm you down then explain the whole sorted mess

and how he believes you are the reincarnation of his lover

I think no matter what there's going to be some push and pull moving forward

he has to decide if he loves you or just the idea of you that acts as some theoretical replacement for his great dead love

will there be a happy ending??

will love prevail??

can love continue on even after death??

only time will tell...

but he does not intend to give up on you that easily...

Seth:

you being reincarnated is actually his doing

against his best laid plans, you didn't end up in hell with him when you died

I think he could only stand it for a few months before he called in a favor and got your soul entered into the reincarnation program

that DOES mean he'll have to wait 18+ years to even attempt to make a move

and also that you won't remember him

or much if anything of your previous life

which means there's a 50/50 toss up that you'll be happily taken when he can actually find you again

he doesn't watch over you as you grow cause that's too creepy

but he does put some lesser demons/spirits to keep an eye on you and keep you safe

he doesn't want to have to start this process all over again

nor does he know how many otherworldly favors he can rely on for this

I think he 'randomly' bumps into you one day when you're old enough and he starts flirting and asks you out

I think whether or not he tells you about the whole deal will depend on how things play out

he doesn't necessarily see the need to but on the other hand

maybe it's worth you knowing

also it's the biggest romantic move he ever pulled

also honesty is nice in a relationship

but all in all it's just nice to have you back again

where he can see and hold and kiss you

also he probably had to call in a favor just to get to the mortal realm in the first place

idk he's burning a lot of big favors for this meet cute to go down but it's worth it

Reece:

I think with Reece it's less of a reincarnation and more an alt time line version of you

one where you never met and you got to live your life without it being crash landed into by a space traveling cat boy

I think at first he meant to keep his distance

you're not HIS you after all

but he couldn't help but watch you just

exist

for a bit

he missed you

and I think one thing lead to another and he ended up bumping into you and you gave him that cute smile and he didn't mean to but he heard himself asking you for coffee before he could give it a second thought

and then before he could give it a second word you had said yes

and then he was just over come with joy cause you said yes to a date so excitedly and quickly

it all kinda just

I think you have a wonderful first date and he spends most of it working up the courage to tell you everything and also just enjoying the date

but towards the end of it he finally fesses up

well, a different version of you in another timeline/universe

he has already gone down this road

Fuyu bumps into you by chance and he's the most torn up about it of the lot of them

and visibly so too, he can't hide his feelings on this even a little bit

I think he is the quickest to tell you the whole thing

and also he calls you by the name of your past life (which may or may not be your name now)

he really does believe you are his heavenly gift sent back to him because your love is so fated

he takes some time getting used to

it's actually funny, this is the exact opposite of who you two were the first time

he's so unbelievably open to you from the word go

he bares his heart and feelings so much

you look so much like yourself before you left him, he can't help it

you were his safe place that he let all his walls down around

he can't put them back up now

his heart is beating open and bloody for you

It was the norm, really; a Rakyat ambush, guns waved around, a lot of yapping about bullshit that Beth, admittedly, didn't care about. Something about her killing their people and friends, something else about Citra — it all blurred into one homogeneous thing when you've been at it for as long as Beth has.

Did she JOKE? Of course! She relished in their reactions, their anger. They always got so upset when she laughed and joked instead of cowering, even when they killed a few pirates and threatened the other women. Really, how could she not? Their bravado was movie-esq, and she wondered if she'd ever sit down and write a screenplay with shit she's heard.

But, like all things pertaining to work, Beth grew bored. And when Beth grew bored, she wanted to finish their little ' dance ' . So, swiftly, she managed to single-handedly take down the four man group of Rakyat. Which, honestly, she wouldn't consider impressive nor brave.

If you ever got to watch Beth in action, it was a MARVELOUS thing, really. As if she had been bred for this, as if she was made for it. Impressive, if not TERRIFYING with the implications.

She ordered the other pirates up with heaving breaths as she retrieved her cigarette box from her cargo pants pocket. She placed one between her lips and lit it before crouching down and wiping bloodied hands into the blue fabric of the Rakyat's vests.

The other speaking had her ears pricking up in attention, but did very little to deter her from beginning to search the body of the ' warrior ' who served as her prior cloth. She was silent for a moment, as if ignoring the other, before humming around her lit cigarette.

"Most would call it fucking dumb, mate," She began, taking a second to admire the small carving of a tiger she had found in his pockets. "Or, er," What was the English? A pause as she gathered her thoughts. "Having a death wish. Which, I'd argue, y'know, is the whole point of being a fucking pirate."

She finished looting and half turned to the other, still crouching. Removing the cigarette from her lips and exhaling a thick, grey spiral of smoke, her brown eyes considered the other in what could be most compared to a predator sizing up prey.

"What would you call it, huh? BRAVERY? Is that what we're going with?" Beth laughed softly, an airy thing, light and delightful to the ears. "I like that, actually. Is that what qualifies as bravery to to you?"

Ironic, really, considering who Beth was; she had called rejects brave and far more generous titles for less ( admittedly to taunt them ) . She'd regard others as brave, or dumb, or both for doing what she had just done. But she quite liked picking into people, especially those she had an inherentl distrust for.

Chapter 1: Pathetic

“Mr. Tsukishima!” A few girls call down from the stands to Tsukki, waving and blushing.

“Wow, Tsukki,” Tadashi chuckles as Tsukishima wipes his face with a towel, sweaty after a match. “Must be nice to have your own fan club,” he shakes his head, looking up at the giggling girls.

“It’s annoying,” Tsukki sighs, ignoring them and walking off the court to the locker rooms, leaving Tadashi to wait for him.

It’s only been a year since Tsukishima has been with the Frogs and Tadashi has noticed a steady uptick in his popularity, gaining the attention of cute fan girls and boys. It almost made him reconsider getting back into the sport, almost.

It definitely helped that he was known as Number 17’s best friend throughout the court, though, because that meant that Tsukishima’s fan club would come up to him ask him about Tsukki when they were too nervous to talk to the player himself.

That’s where Tadashi shined. All of the years knowing and being at Tsukki’s side gave him inside access to the middle blocker and all of the pretty girls and cute boys would ask him all sorts of questions.

A Maasverse note because I think sometimes characters get poorly judged both by other characters, plot lines, & fandom reception (of course this is all fictional… so this post is also purely fiction… and probably has some “fictional world differences” or “rules” to apply… but still😂)

This started with the *sarcastic* “lovely” talk with Darrow about the “people of Terrasen” because the idea of blaming Aelin — who, btw, let the record show was ONLY an EIGHT-YEAR-OLD CHILD!!! — for “abandoning them” when she WAS A CHILD really got on my nerves. Especially as even this conversation is taking place with a 19-year-old… while not 8, and “old enough” in her own right; SHE IS STILL NINETEEN… and if you ask me IF ANYONE did any “abandoning” it was the people of Terrasen who simply went “hmm… we can’t find our queen… oh no! She must have drowned! No need to think further!!! MOVING ON!” meanwhile she was KIDNAPPED, after having her ENTIRE family assassinated IN FRONT OF HER (at EIGHT) and nearly drowning to outrun the assassin trying to KILL HER, & Arobynn was NOT much better; she couldn’t escape (cause SHE WAS EIGHT and with an ACTUAL ASSASSIN) and by the time she had “learned” (been forced into & through traumatic, abusive, horrifying, painful experiences for YEARS) enough to be “allowed” to leave the keep and at all able to even possibly run far enough to somehow get to Terrasen it was already GONE there was nothing left for her to go back to or save, and (even then) she was STILL A CHILD. She came back in under 10 years, barely an adult, she SURVIVED, give the girl some CREDIT PLEASE!!! And yeah, she was an assassin, no it’s not the most moral of jobs (but this is fiction) it was that or death, she went to hell & back (this was NOT some pampered upbringing) and YOUR queen endured it FOR you (and YOU damned her to it, or is it not fair to blame you? Oh, so it isn’t fair to blame y'all… yet the EIGHT-YEAR-OLD is fine?!) and to be honest, from her lineage (which kind of doomed her already) to the state of their world, they may actually NEED/want to have an Assassin as a Queen. Like yeah, she did that, she SURVIVED that, she is capable and smart and can actually lead a war. Can any of you old men gawking at her say the same??? Hmm??? No, you can’t because even though you all saw horrors, we all know the CHILDREN of Terrassen endured the worst; Aedion fought your wars, Elide was also kidnapped (not that any of you care; but it did keep her alive—I guess?), so can we just be glad you all are alive?!? AND LEAVE AELIN BE FOR ONCE, PLEASE! (I’m sure Darrow “has his reasons” and a backstory, but as a general point & issue I really can’t stand it).

Then into one that keeps popping up and bothering me: the argument & anger towards Nesta & Elain. Now while it does have its place (and I have been there too during points of my first read), I also am taking it all into account, and while I’m sorry that they let her go into the woods they were children. Nesta was a CHILD. Elain was a CHILD. (Maybe I don’t know exact ages, but they can’t have been in their 20s & 30s😂). THEY WERE ALL CHILDREN TOO. While Feyre was the youngest, while Feyre deserved safety & protection, while Feyre truly did go through a lot (and the fact she didn’t feel loved is absolutely gut-wrenching and wrong) some of which she may have been able to be spared from… she also wasn’t the only child, freezing, starving, losing parents, and terrified. Even Nesta as the oldest was still a kid. Elain is not that much older than Feyre, and she was a kid too. And yes, Feyre was a child, she was FOURTEEN, she was their little sister, and she was a child too even more. But honestly the truest guilt relies on not the sisters (THREE CHILDREN) but on the ACTUAL ADULTS; their father; who did have his issues & eventually redemption (and yes parents aren’t always capable that does happen; disability, pain, grief, depression, they are beasts), but also he still remains FAR more responsible than Nesta or Elain or even Feyre EVER should have been in the first place. It lies on THE ENTIRE VILLAGE that abandoned them; CHILDREN, whose mother had DIED, whose father was CLEARLY UNWELL, who were freezing & starving (& while the village may have been struggling they COULD have struggled TOGETHER and NOT LEFT CHILDREN to their own); THEY should have been the ones to step up. Not Nesta. Not Elain. Not Feyre. The three sisters were all children. And while any oldest sibling knows we are capable of filling roles, that doesn’t make it right; nor does it make anyone’s brains fully formed… so… like… they literally couldn’t think beyond more sometimes. And yes, while I can’t imagine sending one of my siblings (older or younger) off into the woods alone for any reason (I also could understand going off before they could stop you; I can understand why & how Feyre might’ve without them even knowing; because if it were my family it wouldn’t matter I’d do it, even if someone older was there), but I also can’t pretend it would be oh so easy to keep all four people alive by yourself (to a certain extent Nesta needs to be alive because she is the only “semi-adult” in the first place) and still as a child abandoned by the world (she had her issues too) she was a daughter so sure her father would save them begging for it in agony over it and lost in the world. While I in Nesta’s shoes would NEVER have let Feyre be near anyone during a break in, we don’t know the full story, Nesta may not have had options; she may have just run, grabbed Elain who was close by, and hid because at least she could keep them alive; and she was also a terrified child. And while Elain “went along” in Nesta’s shelter without protest; WHY WOULD’NT SHE? All children crave & deserve protection, safety, kindness, love, she has that in Nesta; why would she run from the only stability she has; especially as the child that lost something else (where Nesta was the favorite & simultaneously resented their mother, and Feyre was the “forgotten” child who never got to be a child or know such a kind of safe love, Elain did which means she knew the loss of it she had a mother to grieve) she was young and terrified and holding on to the only thing she could? And what happened to Feyre was terrible, she was forced to shoulder a burden alone, she also took it on (not blaming her, just saying she also didn’t say anything; because it was survival) and yes, it was wrong. But what happened to Nesta and Elain was also wrong. The three of them were children, and they could have done better, but they did their best and survived. As adults, they have begun healing those wounds. What else can we expect other than accountability from the ACTUAL adults at fault?! *and by actual I mean fictional😂*

The past is past. (To some extent in this context side at least)
