Thinking about how humans and kryptis are pretty similar.

Both beings from a different world who invaded Tyria for its resources with the aid of a powerful leader(s). (Eparch/Six Gods)

Plenty of in-fighting. (The Guild Wars/Peitha's Rebellion)

Magical sacrificing of their own people for power or defeat of an enemy (Eparch/White Mantle, Khilbron, Adelbern, Joko)

Humans got the upper hand with the colonising, Kryptis didn't get that far.
