2. so far only ravage and megatron know! ravage clocked what they were trying to do IMMEDIATELY and she’s the one who carried the news to megatron. in this AU ravage is soundwave’s mentor figure and she’s extremely in tune to his mentality, and while she and megatron both have faith in soundwave to steer off this path he’s going down, they’re very worried.
as for shockwave, it has definitely occurred to soundwave to ask him for guidance with all the scientific lunacy going down, but in the end the two of them are too bitterly at odds to ever see eye to eye. shockwave doesn’t see the logic behind what they’re trying to do, and soundwave refuses to let anyone else have a hand in his work when he and frenzy have hinged so much on it. it is simply too personal, you see, and he will never trust his boys around someone who has no concept of love.
