I guess its been long enough for me to say this.......

IM WORKING ON ANOTHER INCREDIBOX MOD!!!!

This mod is called lab-box! It's about this building thats a mix of a lab and a hospital, aka a labital. Each doctor and their patients are inspired off of a different aesthetic (frutiger aero, cutecore, blue hour, steampunk, etc)

But, here's a twist about the mod: it's not music based, but rather a series of episodes! This means its not gonna be like the other incredibox mods, but instead is gonna have multiple episodes like a show.

I did this because I've been itching to work on a mod ever since i canceled sparklebox, but i didnt have the ability to make music (i have bandlab but im still dogshit at using it). I figured: this has the potential of making characters for a show, so why not?

A Bigb and Ren oneshot

Word count: 700

Trigger warnings: Ren being puppy-brained, that's about it

His vision cleared before the ringing in head did. The florescent lights above him cut into his eyes, making him groan and recoil from the brightness.

Distantly, he was aware of someone tugging at his collar. The inside of the collar pricked him each time it was pulled on. He still hadn’t gotten use to the feeling of it clamped around his neck, and he doubted he ever would.

Bigb is a wild creature.

He has never taken kindly to ceilings or walls. There is a feral tug inside him to be outside, to run, to lay in the grass in some warm blue sweater.

But years of being pent inside have acclimated him to the still air and smooth sterile surfaces. He only catches brief glimpses of the sky and shallow gasps of fresh air as he is transported between rentals.

And for now?

For now that is enough.

Gradually, Bigb’s hearing clears, and the sound of other subjects panicking can be heard. He groans again and pushes himself upright, looking around.

It is a tangle of metal and limbs. Knots and taut chains tie the group of subjects together. Most of the group is panicking, pushing and pulling to get away from the tangle they are attached to by the neck. A few of he subjects are still asleep. Somewhere next to him, Martyn is directing people on how to untangle themselves from the rest of the group.

Ironically, Martyn’s length of chain is still mixed in with the rest of the group’s

Weird, Bigb thinks, why would the Watchers tie us up like this?

Bigb looks to Grian, waiting for him to make his usual announcement. For a few years now, Grian had been the one to introduce the group to any new labs they went to. They were the only few words anyone would hear from him.

But Grian is staring at the tangle of chains with the most emotion Bigb has seen on him in a long time. Almost horrified, watching and tracing the chain at his neck to see where it’s attached to.

Bigb turns to look at his own chain, and follow the length around until his found the other end.

His stomach drops.

Nearby is Ren, his collar decorated with a little golden bell that jingles when he turns his head. He is breathing heavy and pulling in a panic, clearly upset by the chains he is nearly buried under.

And unmistakably, the chain attached to Ren’s collar is the same chain as Bigb’s

There is no logic in Ren’s thrashing, and that’s the worst part. The panic is his eyes is animalistic. He bites at anything that gets close enough to his teeth, and his claws scratch dully at the surrounding metal.

Bigb looks away quickly, sick.

He remembers a time when he had admired Ren. He had followed him, the self-declared “Red King,” in the Dogwarts rebellion. Ren had been so powerful, so confident, and most of all he had hope.

Bigb hadn’t had hope in a long time.

Eventually the whole group manages to get untangled. Grian announces the new laboratory, the Double Life Scientific Mastery Project, and Bigb is left alone with his new “soulmate.”

Now that Ren is free from the tangle of chains, he has calmed down. He follows Bigb around the lab, directly at his heels with his tail wagging happily.

Bigb’s stomach turns at the thought that Ren most likely thought he was going for a walk. That this chain was a leash.

When they go to bed that night, Bigb has to forced himself to ignore how his room is different from everyone elses. There is not double bed for him and his soulmate. He has the same bed he always has, and there is a dog kennel right next to it.

Ren is quick to get in his bed. He trots around in a a few tight circles before laying down with his tail over his nose. There is a small sign at the top of the kennel: lock while sleeping

So as much as it made him sick to do it, Bigb knelt and locked the kennel.

see on the other hand, it is EXTREMELY funny that these super heroes and super villains all go to the same school and like. do english homework together when last week they were trying to murder each other, and the principle of the school is fully aware and encourages it. and none of them have secret identities. its a very mario tennis vibe that i am VERY into.

Does Labkoto fall ill often due to his body being mutated?

Yes, Labkoto has an extremely fragile immune system — worse than classic Yuma and classic Makoto. He gets sick easily and becomes emotionally regressed, acting like a clingy child around Shuichi. Symptoms include fever, headache, runny nose, sweating, noise/touch sensitivity, and trouble breathing. He dislikes being cared for by Shuichi's boss (a cold, distant Yuma variant) and gets jealous if Shuichi gives him more attention. Ironically, that Yuma also gets sick from overwork, so Shuichi ends up caring for both. 🎭🧪

Shuichi keeps the place clean, offers simple food and natural remedies (Labkoto doesn’t trust medicine), and tries to keep the cold out during winter. Stress or using his weak Coalescence can worsen his condition. If Shuichi gets sick, Labkoto tries to help—even if he messes up, like making terrible soup (he and his original can’t cook). Shuichi wasn’t meant to be the focus, but since he's my favorite, and you're used to seeing him suffer... you could replace him with an OC or new Rain Code character. Still, I think Mentor Yuma deserves exploration—it’s an interesting concept.

Boss Yuma is so badness. ☔

I should draw him more. You can still imagine cute scenes between two short kings who clearly hate/dislike each other here. And also, Number One's coldness and irritation is just a mask.
