Maul: and... This is supposed to help me.. how?
Obi-Wan: *remains cross-legged and quiet beside him*
Maul: Kenobi? *starting to open his eyes*
Obi-Wan: keep them shut and stop thinking so much. You're being quite loud, you know.
Maul: *growls before reattempting to quiet his mind* I told you this isn't my thing.
Obi: no, you just haven't given yourself enough grace. Try again.

Homicipher MC is very cool and groundbreaking for her trope subversion of "cute weak human mc thrust into a world of monster men" by being a serial killer and a vicious monsterous brute warped by a world she unknowingly made blood sacrifices to and I don't ever want to take away her autonomy BUT there is also something fascinating to me about the concept of her having No memory of killing people and No Idea why she even would in the first place

I’d love to be objective about Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, but unfortunately I listened to that album when I was a kid and it was the first time I knew music had magical properties, so. Can’t do it.

Note
do u ever get jealous when u see ur partners with other partners ?
unfortunately yes sometimes LMAO
That's why we reassure each other a lot <3 I feel like feelings of jealousy/missing out are unavoidable in relationships like these, so the best way to rectify it is a lot of communication

Thanks to @poomphuripan posting the celebrity gossip articles that My Stand-In releases, we know that Tong covered up Ming's outburst as Ming getting the filming dates out of order, which caused him to believe another scene was filming that day.
Tumblr media
However, now Tong is being aggressive with Joe and making him work harder, to the point of exhaustion.
Tumblr media
But he doesn't do that until Ming leaves.
Tumblr media
So Ming's behavior last week telling Tong to watch himself regarding Old Joe made an impact.
Tumblr media
However, I'm unsure if Old Joe's body is dead or in a hospital.
Tumblr media
But either way, I don't see Ming taking it lightly on Tong after this because regardless if it's Old Joe or New Joe (the way his face is not shown at the beginning of this post-sex scene is *chef's kiss*), I really hope Ming's possessive behavior hits its peak after this.
Tumblr media
And now I am really praying for Tong to fuck up and hurt Joe again.
Tumblr media
Just so Ming can end him!

psst pspspsps u should totally talk about grebbymints more ... i am enabling u......
AAAAAA bro….. my dude…. the thing is i always feel crazy talking about them together bc i think like they’ve only publicly interacted like 3 times? LOL (i have watched and documented every interview minty and grebby has appeared in for the leafs/marlies. it’s so bad. me being sick has actually helped me not be as weird about it since i had less screen time in general)
but even then me and @tufzy just constructed this whole separate reality in our heads for months about how like they prob got closer after getting called up and minty is the only familiar guy for grebby there due to being on the marlies together + no russian player on the leafs to fall back on for help so grebby is just sticking to minty’s side the whole time, and minty even tho he’s a lil popular with the leaf boys he still is looking out for his linemate. even when they get sent down they’re still drawn to each other out of habit. but i’m always like second guessing like wow this is pure delusion like maybe they don’t even fuck with each other like that it’s just coworker friendliness this rpf shit is truly a disease fr fr 🙏
and then the videos started dropping. they’re goofing off and pushing each other around during sewer ball. and then i see a single frame of minty next to grebs during the one rare tiktok that he shows up in. and the delusion starts anew
Tumblr media
#like… he was waiting for him… giggling at him…#like does minty help him parse the insane tiktok trends they make them do (jellybean challenge comes to mind)#and everytime grebs is just like eh whatever go marlies/leafs go they love that shit#and minty is laughing aa they both walk down the tunnel to the locker room being like thats not what they asked man#but yes i am enabled. thank you *bows low enough that my forehead hits the table*#see the thing is i haven’t even gotten into the crazier part. which is the family tree au#which is really the dysfunctional abo family au#and no one has like commented on the greek symbols on it despite it getting way more eyes than i thought it would#(me acting like i wasnt looking for attention when i tagged that post)#but yeah there is a section of grebby and mints there in my drafts for that whole *waves hand* thing#which is#completely separate from the grebbymints fic (also set abo bc i’m crazy) that i’ve been slowly working on#both things will come out in due time.. maybe…#but i fear it might actually be too insane for the public eye LOL#BUT THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW. THE DEMONS WHISPER TO ME EVERYDAY.#this would be really embarrassing if you didn’t mean this in a hrpf way LOL#but i can also just start yapping about them separately forever too#starting with minty reading fucking MEDITATIONS. BY MARCUS AURELIUS#LIKE OKAY … NERD…#gonna need him to sign my copy when i go to toronto#i wish i also knew some level of russian bc i wanna know what grebby was up to being a menace in the khl…#all i can do is read like sonata and minuet in cyrillic LOL#but i digress…… i wrote up a whole essay of nonsense in here….#fraser minten#nikita grebenkin#grebbymints#hrpf#asks#yapping#<- need to learn the meaning of the phrase ‘self control’

ADHD really does put everything at equal levels of importance, huh? Like I'll have an email I need to write that'll take maybe 10 minutes, and getting that done will alleviate 6 months of stress. Then I'll notice a sock on the floor I need to put away. Then I'll get the strong conviction that it's up to me to cure cancer. And my brain will tell me that I need to do all of them at once, start and finish them all in the time span of 0 seconds, and my executive dysfunction will throw up its hands and do none of the above.

The Philosophy of Zen
The philosophy of Zen is a branch of Mahayana Buddhism that emphasizes direct experience, mindfulness, and the attainment of enlightenment through meditation and intuitive insight rather than through doctrinal study or ritualistic practices. Originating in China as Chan Buddhism and later flourishing in Japan as Zen, this philosophy seeks to transcend the dualities of ordinary thought and to awaken to the true nature of reality, which is seen as beyond conceptual understanding.
Key Concepts in the Philosophy of Zen:
Direct Experience and Enlightenment (Satori):
Immediate Awareness: Zen emphasizes direct, immediate experience as the path to enlightenment (satori). This means engaging with reality without the interference of conceptual thought or the ego, often through practices such as meditation (zazen) and mindful awareness.
Satori: Enlightenment in Zen, known as satori, is often described as a sudden, profound realization of the interconnectedness of all things and the emptiness (śūnyatā) that underlies reality. This insight transcends ordinary understanding and reveals the true nature of existence.
Meditation (Zazen):
Seated Meditation: Zazen, or seated meditation, is the core practice of Zen. It involves sitting in a specific posture, focusing on the breath, and observing thoughts without attachment. The aim is to quiet the mind, develop concentration, and eventually experience deep states of awareness and insight.
Beyond Techniques: While zazen is a formal practice, Zen teaches that meditation can extend into all aspects of life, encouraging practitioners to bring the same mindfulness and presence into everyday activities.
Koans and Paradoxes:
Koans: Koans are paradoxical statements or questions used in Zen practice to transcend logical thinking and provoke direct insight. A well-known example is, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" The purpose of a koan is not to find a logical answer but to break down the barriers of conventional thought and open the mind to a more profound reality.
Beyond Rationality: Zen often challenges the limits of rationality, using paradox and contradiction to point out that true understanding is beyond intellectual comprehension.
Non-Dualism and Emptiness (Śūnyatā):
Transcending Duality: Zen philosophy rejects the dualistic thinking that separates the self from the world, subject from object, and good from bad. Instead, it teaches that all distinctions are illusory and that true reality is non-dual.
Emptiness: The concept of emptiness (śūnyatā) is central to Zen. It refers to the idea that all things are interconnected and lack an independent, permanent essence. Understanding this emptiness is key to realizing the impermanent and interdependent nature of reality.
Mindfulness and Present-Moment Awareness:
Living in the Present: Zen encourages practitioners to live fully in the present moment, without attachment to the past or anxiety about the future. This mindfulness is cultivated in both formal meditation and daily activities.
Mindful Action: Zen teaches that any action, no matter how mundane, can be an opportunity for mindfulness and awareness. The concept of "being one with the task" is emphasized, where the distinction between the doer and the deed dissolves.
Simplicity and Naturalness:
Simplicity: Zen values simplicity in both thought and lifestyle. This is reflected in Zen art, architecture, and daily practices, which emphasize naturalness, austerity, and the beauty of the unadorned.
Natural Flow: Zen encourages a natural way of being, in harmony with the flow of life. This idea is often illustrated by metaphors of nature, such as the effortless way a tree grows or a river flows.
Compassion and Ethical Living:
Bodhisattva Ideal: Although Zen emphasizes direct personal experience, it also upholds the Mahayana Buddhist ideal of the bodhisattva—someone who seeks enlightenment not just for themselves but for the benefit of all beings. Compassion and ethical conduct are integral to this path.
Engaged Buddhism: In modern times, Zen has also inspired forms of engaged Buddhism, where mindfulness and ethical living are applied to social, environmental, and political issues.
Art, Aesthetics, and Expression:
Zen Arts: Zen has profoundly influenced Japanese arts, including tea ceremony, calligraphy, poetry (such as haiku), and gardening. These arts embody the principles of simplicity, mindfulness, and the transient nature of existence.
Expression of Enlightenment: In Zen, artistic expression is often seen as an extension of the meditative mind. The spontaneity and directness found in Zen arts reflect the same qualities valued in Zen practice.
Non-Attachment and Letting Go:
Letting Go of Ego: Zen teaches the importance of letting go of the ego, desires, and attachments that create suffering. By relinquishing these attachments, one can experience a deeper, more peaceful state of being.
Non-Striving: Paradoxically, Zen teaches that enlightenment cannot be attained through effort alone; it requires a state of non-striving, where one lets go of the desire for enlightenment and simply allows it to arise naturally.
Silence and the Ineffable:
Beyond Words: Zen often emphasizes the limitations of language in capturing the essence of reality. Many Zen teachings are conveyed through silence or direct, non-verbal actions, highlighting that the deepest truths cannot be fully expressed in words.
Ineffability of Truth: Zen suggests that true understanding comes from direct experience, not from intellectual discussion or analysis. This is reflected in the Zen saying, "The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon," indicating that teachings are merely pointers to the truth, not the truth itself.
The philosophy of Zen offers a unique approach to understanding the nature of reality and the self, emphasizing direct experience, mindfulness, and the transcendence of dualistic thinking. By cultivating a deep awareness of the present moment and embracing the simplicity and natural flow of life, Zen practitioners seek to realize the interconnectedness of all things and attain enlightenment. This philosophy has had a profound influence on both Eastern and Western thought, inspiring not only spiritual practice but also art, literature, and approaches to everyday living.

Rune Meditation - Ansuz
Tumblr media
Odin was my guide for this meditation. We began by walking through the visuals of my previous rune meditations. He told me that these meditations embody the energy of ansuz and that ansuz is about taping into our highest knowing. Becoming scholars throughout our lives, always educating ourselves. And not just through books and school, but through lived experience - seeing every opportunity as a chance to learn about ourselves and the world in which we live. Sharing that knowledge is of the utmost importance. It helps no one, yourself included, to hoard knowledge. By sharing what we know, he said, we're able to synthesize ideas into new knowledge and ideas that then become wisdom. Shared wisdom. Wisdom is the ultimate forming of knowledge and understanding. Bringing everything we know together with other people really stood out to me. We learn from each other and we learn by teaching others. It's how we connect as a species. The ultimate form of knowledge and wisdom comes from connection with each other and with the higher energies of ourselves and the life around us. Wisdom is knowledge in action. It is deep understanding of and connection with what exists around us.

it's so funny to me how people play video games so differently but I do find it so bizarre that there are people who miss out on things in outer wilds simply bc they don't exhaust all the dialogue options. what do you mean you never learned to meditate??
