Tankies are untrustworthy, childish reactionaries, and that's my bottom line. We can have a community as soon as the authleft learns how to view other people with humanity.

I think a great one-two punch of why I hate tankie politics, is that my neighbor - whom I generally do like as a person - had two particularly nasty half-joking takes recently which reveal a lot about how his idea of communism is rooted in a selfish desire to control the power of the machine rather than to dismantle it and build something new.

One is, "I'd rather be a misogynist than an antisemite," and when I asked him why not just try to be a good person to all peoples, I only received drunken shrugs and a topic change. I truly don't understand what was going through his head, but I know that I think Jewish women deserve to line up and carve bits of his flesh away until the bone is revealed.

And the next is, starting a conversation about how in spite of being a former fast food worker himself, he has no sympathy or compassion for fast food workers these days, due to the ways their ill-training and lack of care for their own jobs personally inconveniences him. My entire polycule ragged on him for this and he didn't even back down, just went wishy-washy and changed the topic again.

So yeah, generally I think tankies political beliefs are deeply in line with that of the western imperial core and that they have no interest in dismantling those preconceptions because they don't want to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced, just like every other Westerner. And because of this, their support for workers rights is often deeply shallow posturing out of a desire to personally be in a better financial/social, so while they'll talk all this grand talk about theory and hypothetical futures and a revolution, at the end of the day, they're not gonna do jackshit except for sit in their apartments drinking pisswasher beer and bemoaning how hard life and how they deserve to be king of the hill, actually. authleft and libright are shaking hands.

Well, that's off topic, just so y'all know that she's a very emotional person. When I met her originally, she said she was a tboy and had a whole bunch of flags in her announcement template (An imgflip thing, we can't just post text by itself), but she also said some things about her mother mistreating her for being trans, like telling her the family was falling apart because of her. Over time, I saw her getting more and more... how to say... eager to fit in. First, she was libright, which is like... just a political stance. Like yeah, liberalism is generally based off of wishful thinking, but she's 14, ofc she's gonna be a wishful thinker. Then, she complained about a friend of hers having "very white opinions", like a parent hitting their child being bad and how saying that "disrespected asian culture" (absolutely r-slurred take) She then proceeded to take all the flags off of her profile to "get bullied less" and today she just said she isn't a boy anymore. To be clear, I have nothing against desistors and detransitioners, but genuinely, this doesn't seem like that. It seems like a weak willed boy stopping himself from being a boy to fit in with his genocidal, zionist, irony-poisoned and transphobic surroundings.

I'm in no position to judge how women balance these terrible options. I don't know how it feels to have to choose between people who think your rights don't matter and people who think you don't exist.

But I'll say this: I don't blame a single woman who looked at the options and decided, “I'll take my chances with the side that still knows what a woman is. Even if it's just so they can grab me by the pussy.”

That last line genuinely made tear up.

So, to anyone who struggles to understand this, or worse, who doesn't care, to anybody who believes it's "hysterical" to want a female-only space, please feel free to stop using them. The men’s is right over there.
