Ritsu being like sure I have friends. And proceeds to not bring up shou bc he doesn't consider him to be that low of his definition of 'friend' it's a win in my book
My thoughts on the Ritsu&Shou related parts in the Fanbook
because I am kinda going insane.
The way ONE was able to melt all the gays down in one go should be studied, analysed and locked deep in the black void of Shou’s black shirt in the Cultural Festival scene in the manga, because there’s no way.
As a warning, while I’ll be mostly talking about their relationship in terms of friendship anyway, I ship them, so this is kinda biased on this side of things. Enjoy what I have to say under the cut.

thank you so much. yeah I have a yaoi type. while I think it's not exactly narrative foils to lovers I seriously love reading the adventurer's bible and every other sentence kui's pointing them out in juxtaposition to each other. it actually catches me off guard how much they keep referring back to laios in kabru's section of the book like what. whatttt. hi guys this is kabru. btw laios did something it would be soo interesting if they hung out. what then
its also a strong way to point out how much laios' deep intrinsic understanding of how monsters think and feel helps him navigate in a way kabru never could. Laios and Kabru's bedrooms even being foils

there is a funny juxtaposition to this scene because someone just died, most of the students dont know about it, junpei is depressed, ryoji is there, and the highest stake in this scene is that kenji overslept for the 3 day internship and is asking makoto for a uniform. who by way looked him up and down and was like "you really look good in that uniform"! and literally right after ryoji says the exact same thing. guys. he does not look good in that uniform
