Harvest Moon Reading SALE | Virgo Facts About This Moon 🌚 MBTI | Shadow Work ♣︎ Dark Academia Semiotics
If you are a Virgo then either the first or second full moon of your life was the Harvest Moon of September. Whilst the moon governs emotions (amongst many other things) WHAT moon it is and how full it was at the time of your birth also comes into play.
Tumblr media
I'm doing a sale THIS HARVEST MOON anyway but am hoping to offer a free reading to ANY VIRGOS reading this, just 👇🏻 reblog with the sign and house your moon placement is in your birth chart (and how full it was if you want) and I will DM you with a promo code. Otherwise here are some facts for ALL SIGNS about this moon.
🌚The Harvest Moon is so called as previous generations would have taken in crops around this time. Thus themes of reaping and sowing are important and any shadow work you do on this moon may be to do with karma or the idea of harvesting the consequences of your actions. This can be both good and bad or simply neutral, either way you may find decisions you made in the past to be the cause of blocks but that also now you can show the seeds for future positive energy.
🌚The signs that may find shadow work easiest on this moon are the earth and water signs as these are connected to the soil and harvest. This moon has an autumnal energy but is also about the transition from summer to autumn. Thus of the air signs gemini may find it most auspicious as your fkexible nature allows you to use transitions to your advantage.
Tumblr media
🌚Emotions you may uncover are to do with actions and the consequences of your actions. Do you feel guilt or responsibility? Sometimes this can be your conscience telling you that something wasn't right but sometimes, this bad energy may come from other people, and they may reap what they sowed instead.
🌚INFP and ENFP find this transitory period easiest due to their flexible Ne and ability to embrace new beginnings. This is followed by INTP and ENTP. Judging types may find it more difficulty but by focussing on healing the crown, third eye, and root chakras theyy can balace their intuition and flexibility with their need for plans and stability.
🌚No matter how full it is, for Virgos, the moon in their birth chart has a high change of being part of the Harvest Moon cycle. This idea of storing crops and planning fits with practical virgo. However themes of planning and storing can also be to do with the emotions. Do you bottle emotions up or let them out? VIRGO ONLY
(Harvest) moon in 1st or 4th houses - you may be bottling up emotions to do with your formative self, childhood, or family.
In 2nd, 3rd, 10th, or 11th, you may store or bottle up emotions in work or social contexts. Now is a good time to work through blogs and do tarot readings to figure out why. Alternatively you may be reaping or sowing new feelings and relationships around this time
In 5th or 7th - you may be rewarded with love or you may find yourself breaking up more frequently than you would suspect. You may hide feelings from your SO but you may also harvest the consequences of long relationships when this time of year comes around, such as getting proposed to or proposing to someone!
In 6th, 9th, or 12th houses, at this relstively liminal time of year you may experience 'curveball' life events as you may not directly be able to see the seeds you sowed for. Unexpected business or romantic trips but also paranormal experiences, health difficulties but also things healing, these can all connect to decisions made at other points in time that we may not realise we had planted
Tumblr media
For this HARVEST MOON I have a free promo code I would like to give out, I know there are a load of readers on here but I am genuinely interested in building long term connections, and the feedback people have given me so far on the dark academia theme and my readings in general has been amazing though I am always looking to see what I am not covering.
If you are one of the following I am happy to give a TOTAL DISCOUNT (100% off) on my Etsy store this Harvest Moon:
Virgo
An earth or water sign
INFP or ENFP
All you need to do is reblog this with your moon sign and moon house placement (plus how full the moon was if you know). You don't have to be born around a Harvest Moon but if you're Virgo or possibly Libra or Scorpio you probably will have been.

Top 5 High Availability Dedicated Server Solutions
What Is a High Availability Dedicated Server?
A typical dedicated server is a powerful computer which is connected to a high-speed Internet connection, and housed in a state-of-the-art remote data center or optimized data facility.
A High Availability dedicated server is an advanced system equipped with redundant power supplies, a fully redundant network, RAID disk towers and backups, ensuring the highest uptime and the full reliability with no single point of failure.
Configuration For High Availability Dedicated Servers
As its name implies, high availability dedicated solutions are scalable and customized hosting solutions, designed to meet the unique needs of any business.
These configurations are carefully designed to provide fail-proof architecture to run the critical applications in your business – those that demand the highest availability.
Possible high availability server configurations might include multiple hosts managed by redundant load balancers and replication hosts. As well as redundant firewalls for added security and reliability.
Why High Availability Server Is Important for Business
Nowadays businesses rely on the Internet. Let’s face it – even the smallest downtime can cause huge losses to business. And not just financial losses. Loss of reputation can be equally devastating.
According to StrategicCompanies more than half of Fortune 500 companies experience a minimum of 1.6 hours of downtime each and every week. That amounts to huge losses of time, profit, and consumer confidence. If your customer can’t reach you online, you might as well be on the moon, as far as they are concerned.
Consider: In the year 2013, 30 minutes of an outage to Amazon.com reportedly cost the company nearly $2 million. That’s $66,240 per minute. Take a moment to drink that in. Even if you’re not Amazon, any unplanned downtime is harmful to your business.
Your regular hosting provider may provide 99% service availability. That might sound good, in theory. But think about that missing 1%… That’s 87 hours (3.62 days) of downtime per year! If the downtime hits during peak periods, the loss to your business can be disastrous.
The best way to prevent downtime and eliminate these losses is to opt for high availability hosting solutions.
Built on a complex architecture of hardware and software, all parts of this system work completely independently of each other. In other words – failure of any single component won’t collapse the entire system.
It can handle very large volume of requests or a sudden surge in traffic. It grows and shrinks with the size and needs of your organization. Your business is flexible, shouldn’t your computer systems be, as well? Following are some of the best high availability solutions you can use to host your business applications.
1. Ultra High Performance Dedicated Servers
High performance servers are high-end dedicated solutions with larger computing capacity, especially designed to achieve the maximum performance. They are an ideal solution to cater enterprise workloads.
A typical high performance dedicated server will consist of the following:
Single/Dual latest Intel Xeon E3 or E5 series processors.
64 GB to 256 GB RAM
8 to 24 TB SATA II HDD with RAID 10
Energy efficient and redundant power supply & cooling units
Offsite Backups
Note that the list above is just a sample configuration which can be customized/upgraded as per your unique requirements. If you need more power, we can build a setup with 96 drives, 3 TB RAM, and 40+ physical CPU cores.
Real World Applications (Case Study)Customer’s Requirement
One of our existing customers was looking for a high-end game server to host flash games with encoded PHP and MySQL server as a backend.
To achieve the highest availability, they demanded 2 load balancers with failover. Each of them contains 2 web servers and a database server.
Website Statistics
8000-10000 simultaneous players
100% uptime requirement
10 GB+ database size
Solution Proposed by AccuWebHosting
Our capacity planning team designed a fully redundant infrastructure with dual load balancers sitting in front of web and database servers.
This setup consists of 2 VMs with load balancers connected to a group of web servers through a firewall. The database server was built on ultra-fast SSD drives for the fastest disk I/O operations.
For a failover, we set up an exact replica of this architecture with real-time mirroring. Should the primary system fail, the secondary setup will seamlessly take over the workload. That’s right. Zero downtime.

2. Load Balanced Dedicated Servers
Load Balancing
The process of distributing incoming web traffic across a group of servers efficiently and without intervention is called Load Balancing.
A hardware or software appliance which provides this load balancing functionality is known as a Load Balancer.
Tumblr media
The dedicated servers equipped with a hardware/software load balancer are called Load Balanced Dedicated Servers.
How Load Balancing Works?
A load balancer sits in front of your servers and routes the visitor requests across the servers. It ensures even distribution, i.e., all requests must be fulfilled in a way that it maximizes speed and capacity utilization of all servers and none of them is over or under-utilized.
When your customers visit your website, they are first connected to load balancer and the load balancer routes them to one of the web servers in your infrastructure. If any server goes down, the load balancer instantly redirects the traffic to the remaining online servers.
As web traffic increases, you can add new servers quickly and easily to the existing pool of load-balanced servers. When a new server is added, the load balancer will start sending requests to new server automatically. That’s right – there’s no user-intervention required.
Types Of Load Balancing
Load balancing can be performed with one of the following methods.
Load Balancing Through DNS
Load Balancing Through Hardware
Load Balancing Through Software
Load Balancing With DNS
The DNS service balances the web traffic across the multiple servers. Note that when you perform the traffic load balancing through this method you cannot choose which load balancing algorithm. It always uses the Round Robin algorithm to balance the load.
Load Balancing Through Hardware
This is the most expensive way of load balancing. It uses a dedicated hardware device that handles traffic load balancing.
Most of the hardware based load balancer systems run embedded Linux distribution with a load balancing management tool that allows ease of access and a configuration overview.
Load Balancing Through Software
Software-based load balancing is one of the most reliable methods for distributing the load across servers. In this method, the software balances the incoming requests through a variety of algorithms.
Load Balancing Algorithms
There are a number of algorithms that can be used to achieve load balance on the inbound requests. The choice of load balancing method depends on the service type, load balancing type, network status and your own business requirements.
Typically, for low load systems, simple load balancing methods (i.e., Round Robin) will suffice, whereas, for high load systems, more complex methods should be used. Check out this link for more information on some industry standard Load Balancing Algorithms used by the load balancers.
Setup Load Balancing On Linux
HAProxy (High Availability Proxy) is the best available tool to set up a load balancer on Linux machines (web server, database server, etc).
It is an open-source TCP and HTTP load balancer used by some of the largest websites including Github, StackOverflow, Reddit, Tumblr and Twitter.
It is also used as a fast and lightweight proxy server software with a small memory footprint and low CPU usage.
Following are some excellent tutorials to setup a load balancing on Apache, NGINX and MySQL server.

3. Scalable Private Cloud
A scalable private cloud is a cloud-based system that gives you self-service, scalability, and elasticity through a proprietary architecture.
Private clouds are highly scalable that means whenever you need more resources, you can upgrade them, be it memory, storage space, CPU or bandwidth.
Tumblr media
It gives the best level of security and control making it an ideal solution for a larger business. It enables you to customise computer, storage and networking components to best suit custom requirements.
Private Cloud Advantages
Tumblr media
Enhanced Security & Privacy
All your data is stored and managed on dedicated servers with dedicated access. If your Cloud is on-site, the server will be monitored by your internal IT team and if it is at a datacenter, their technicians will monitor it. Thus, physical security is not your concern.
Fully Redundant Platform
A private cloud platform provides a level of redundancy to compensate from multiple failures of the hard drive, processing power etc. When you have a private cloud, you do not have to purchase any physical infrastructure to handle fluctuation in traffic.
Efficiency & Control
Private cloud gives you more control on your data and infrastructure. It has dedicated resources and no one else has access of the server except the owner of the server.
Scalable Resources
Each company has a set of technical and business requirements which usually differ from other companies based on company size, industry and business objectives etc.
A private cloud allows you to customize the server resources as per your unique requirements. It also allows you to upgrade the resources of the server when necessary.
Private Cloud DisadvantagesCost
As compared to the public cloud and simple dedicated server setup, a private cloud is more expensive. Investments in hardware and resources are also required.
You can also rent a private cloud, however the costs will likely be the same or even higher, so this might not be an advantage.
Maintenance
Purchasing or renting a private cloud is only one part of the cost. Obviously, for a purchase, you’ll have a large outlay of cash at the onset. If you are renting you’ll have continuous monthly fees.
But even beyond these costs, you will need to consider maintenance and accessories. Your private cloud will need enough power, cooling facilities, a technician to manage the server and so on.
Under-utilization
Even if you are not utilizing the server resources, you still need to pay the full cost of your private cloud. Whether owning or renting, the cost of capacity under-utilization can be daunting, so scale appropriately at the beginning of the process.
Complex Implementation
If you are not tech savvy, you may face difficulties maintaining a private cloud. You will need to hire a cloud expert to manage your infrastructure, yet another cost.
Linux & Windows Private Cloud Providers
Cloud providers give you an option to select your choice of OS: either Windows or any Linux distribution. Following are some of the private cloud solution providers.
AccuWebHosting
Amazon Web Services
Microsoft Azure
Rackspace
Setting Up Your Own Private Cloud
There are many paid and open source tools available to setup your own private cloud.
OpenStack
VMware vSphere
VMmanager
OnApp
OpenNode Cloud Platform
OpenStack is an open source platform that provides IAAS (Infrastructure As A Service) for both public and private cloud.

4. Failover
Tumblr media
Failover means instantly switching to a standby server or a network upon the failure of the primary server/network.
When the primary host goes down or needs maintenance, the workload will be automatically switched to a secondary host. This should be seamless, with your users completely unaware that it happened.
Failover prevents a single point of failure (SPoF) and hence it is the most suitable option for mission critical applications where the system has to be online without even one second of downtime.
How Failover Works?
Surprisingly, automated failover system is quite easy to set up. A failover infrastructure consists of 2 identical servers, A primary server and a secondary. Both servers will serve the same data.
A third server will be used for monitoring. It continuously monitors the primary server and if it detects a problem, it will automatically update the DNS records for your website so that traffic will be diverted to the secondary server.
Once the primary server starts functioning again, traffic will be routed back to primary server. Most of the time your users won’t even notice a downtime or lag in server response.
Failover TypesCold Failover
A Cold Failover is a redundancy method that involves having one system as a backup for another identical primary system. The Cold Failover system is called upon only on failure of the primary system.
So, Cold Failover means that the second server is only started up after the first one has been shut down. Clearly this means you must be able to tolerate a small amount of downtime during the switch-over.
Hot Failover
Hot Failover is a redundant method in which one system runs simultaneously with an identical primary system.
Upon failure of the primary system, the Hot Failover system immediately takes over, replacing the primary system. However, data is still mirrored in real time ensuring both systems have identical data.
Setup Failover
Checkout the below tutorials to setup and deploy a failover cluster.

The Complete Guide on Setting up Clustering In Linux
Available Solutions
There are four major providers of failover clusters listed as below.
Microsoft Failover Cluster
RHEL Failover Cluster
VMWare Failover Cluster
Citrix Failover Cluster
Failover Advantages
Failover Server clustering is completely a scalable solution. Resources can be added or removed from the cluster.
If a dedicated server from the cluster requires maintenance, it can be stopped while other servers handle its load. Thus, it makes maintenance easier.
Failover Disadvantages
Failover Server clustering usually requires more servers and hardware to manage and monitor, thus, increases the infrastructure.
Failover Server clustering is not flexible, as not all the server types can be clustered.
There are many applications which are not supported by the clustered design.
It is not a cost-effective solution, as it needs a good server design which can be expensive.
5. High Availability Clusters
Tumblr media
A high availability cluster is a group of servers that support server applications which can be utilized with a minimal amount of downtime when any server node fails or experiences overload.
You may require a high availability clusters for any of the reasons like load balancing, failover servers, and backup system. The most common types of Cluster configuration are active-active and active-passive.
Active-Active High Availability Cluster
Tumblr media
It consists of at least two nodes, both actively running same the service. An active-active cluster is most suitable for achieving true load balancing. The workload is distributed across the nodes. Generally, significant improvement in response time and read/write speed is experienced.
Active-Passive High Availability Cluster
Tumblr media
Active-passive also consists of at least two nodes. However, not all nodes remain active simultaneously. The secondary node remains in passive or standby mode. Generally, this cluster is more suitable for a failover cluster environment.
Setup A High Availability Cluster
Here are some excellent tutorials to setup a high availability cluster.
Configuring A High Availability Cluster On CentOS
Configure High-Availability Cluster on CentOS 7 / RHEL 7
Available Solutions
There are very well-known vendors out there, who are experts in high availability services. A few of them are listed below.
Dell Windows High Availability solutions
HP High Availability (HA) Solutions for Microsoft and Linux Clusters
VMware HA Cluster
High Availability Cluster Advantages
Tumblr media
Protection Against Downtime
With HA solutions, if any server of a cluster goes offline, all the services are migrated to an active host. The quicker you get your server back online, the quicker you can get back to business. This prevents your business from remaining non-productive.
Optimum Flexibility
High availability solutions offer greater flexibility if your business demands 24×7 availability and security.
Saves Downtime Cost
The quicker you get your server back up online, the quicker you can get back to business. This prevents your business from remaining non-productive.
Easy Customization
With HA solutions, it is a matter of seconds to switch over to the failover server and continue production. You can customize your HA cluster as per your requirement. You can either set data to be up-to-date in minutes or within seconds. Moreover, the data replication scheme, versions can be specified as per your needs.
High Availability Cluster Disadvantages
Continuous Grow in infrastructure
It demands many servers and loads of hardware to deliver a failover and load balancing. This increases your infrastructure.
Application Not Supported!
HA clustering offers much flexibility at the hardware level but not all software applications support clustered environment.
Expensive
HA clustering is not a cost-effective solution, the more sophistication you need, the more money you need to invest.
6. Complex Configuration Built By AccuWebHosting
Customer’s Requirement
An eCommerce website that can handle the peak load of 1000 HTTP requests per second, more than 15,000 visitors per day and 3 times the load in less than 10 seconds. During the peak hours and new product launches, visits count to the website will be multiplied by 2.
Website Statistics
40K products and product related articles
40 GB of static contents (images and videos and website elements)
6 GB of database
Solution We Delivered
We suggested a high availability Cloud Infrastructure, to handle the load and ensure the maximum availability as well. To distribute the load, we mounted 2 load balancer servers in front of the setup with load balanced IP address on top of them.
We deployed a total of 8 web servers, 3 physical dedicated servers, and 5 Cloud instances to absorb the expected traffic. The setup was configured to get synchronized between the various components through the rsync cluster.
The Cloud instances were used in a way that they can be added or removed as per load of the peak traffic without incurring the costs associated with additional physical servers.
Each Cloud instance contained the entire website (40GB of static content) to give the user a smooth website experience.
The 6 GB database was hosted on a master dedicated server, which was replicated on a secondary slave server to take over when the master server fails. Both of these DB servers have SSD disks for better read/write performance.
Tumblr media
A team of 15 developers and content writers update the content through backoffice servers hosted on a dedicated server. Any changes made by the team are propagated by rsync on the production environment and the database.
The entire infrastructure was monitored by Zabbix, which is installed on a high availability Cloud VPS. Zabbix will monitor the data provided by the infrastructure servers and then generate a series of graphs to depict the RAM usage, load average, disk consumption and network stats. Zabbix will also send an alert when any of the usage reaches its threshold or if any of the services goes down.

Secrets chapter 3
Tumblr media
Summary: ellies birthday and mothers day is coming up as emotions and pent up anger are spiraling between you, negan, and jack while more and more secrets begin to unfold.
18+
Warming: nsfw, fluff, kink, depression, abuse
Sorry for the late update on this chapter its kind of a short one ive just have been going through some personal things and havent found the motivation to finish this one yet.❤ i hope you all like it!❤
--------------------------------
--------------------
You and negan haven't spoke in a few days ellies birthday is today and you have been busy decorating. Negan is suppose to be picking up the cake at the store. jack has returned back from his "business trip" withq an odd hickey on his neck that keeps gawking at you everytime you speak to him. You want to avoid conflict because you arent so innocent yourself after what happen with negan last time you saw him but thats just not who you are....you have to confront him but you also dont want to ruin ellies day infront of everyone.
"Hey jack, do you mind helping me with this streamer" you called out to him from the ladder
"Sure hun" he took the streamer from your hand taping it up to the wall
"Thank you.....uh negan should be here soon with her cake" you said folding up the step ladder
"I could of went and grabbed it" he scoffs
"I uh..well sorry i didnt know it was a big deal" you try to laugh it off politely
"Dont even worry about it...." He walks past you ramming his ahoulder into you heading outside
Negan had arrive with the cake and so did a few of ellies friends and your mother. You and your mothers relationship really has never been that great but you try to make peace with it for ellies sake. Negan came in with a huge gift box all wrapped in pink with a bow.
" i thought we agreed nothing crazy" you whispered to him
"Whaat...can i not spoil my girl" negan grins at you
Ellie runs out of her room her eyes light up at the size of the gift her dad got her.
"Mommy look at this...its humongo!" She says messing with the bow
"I see honey..dont mess with it yet" you giggle
"Where is your boy toy.." His tongue slides across his bottom lip
You kept silent while negan stared you down waiting for a response but nothing came out his eyes were burning a hole through you he always knew when shit was up.
"Ah i see....the silent treatment" folding his arms
Negan walks off to go play with ellie and say hello to a few people when your mother walks up to you.
"Hey mom..." You say emotionless
"What is negan doing here.." She asks
"Mom...please dont. Thats ellies dad. I told you we are trying to work on things for ellies sake" you say annoyed.
"Well...once a cheater always a cheater. Im just saying" as she sips on her cup of wine walking away
A few hours have passed and ellie got to blow out her candles and eat cake. Jack still hasnt said much to you throughout the whole party and its more than obvious that negan is starting to catch on im just hoping he doesn't notice the hicky on his neck. Ellie has been bugging you about negans gift so you were going to let her open it.
"Ellie open it up over here sweetie so everyone can see" you say smiling
Ellie quikly rips the hot pink rapping paper off and squeals in excitement as she realizes its a electric scooter that she has been wanting. Negan was standing by your side with his hand sneakily rested on your lower back with a huge smile on his face.
"Oh my god you got me that scooter!!" Ellie begins jumping up and down
"Negan....those cost alot" you whispered in his ear
"dont worry about it....i got it taken car of" he says sternly
"Lets take it outside!!" Negans runs over and picks it up in excitment with all of the kids following him outside to ride on the scooter. You were throwing away dirty plates when jack came up to you
"So you want to explain why you and negan have been so close" he quietly says to you
You instantly start to burn with rage as he asks you that knowing he has been keeping things from you too and the fact his assistant melissa has been speaking to him inappropriately. You were holing the knife in your hand for cutting the cake reminding you of the incident that happened between you and negan once you found out he was cheating. you froze and gripped tightly on the knife thinking of how to approach this.
"You're a fucking whore..." He spat at you
"Jack.....get the fuck away from me" you quietly say
"Yeah i bet thats what you want.....so he can fuck you" he says through gritted teeth
"Its. Ellies. Birthday.....fucking knock it off we can settle this later" you slowly set the knife down unclenching your fist
Jack stands there glaring at you with his jaw clecnhed before giving up and walking away. You let out a sigh of relief and pour yourself a glass of wine. You take a sip closing your eyes feeling like everything is going in slomotion in that moment when you here yelling outside and notice its negan and jack. You drop your glass spilling your wine everywhere running outside.
"Back the fuck off man!" Jack yells with his fist balled up
"Ohh...you really want to go there dude..." Negan laughs
"You are fucking (y/n) and i know it!" Jack lunges towards him throwing a punch hitting negan in the face making him stumble
Negan catches his balace reaching up to his face touching where jack punched him in the mouth realizing he is bleeding negan licks the blood off his lips and lets out a sinister almost scary deep chuckle.
"Oh...you fucked up." Negan lunges towards jack football tackling him to the ground he starts punching jack over and over again blood all over his fists
"Negan!!!...no! Stop!" You rush over trying to pry negan off of jack
"Negan stop for ellie please!" You begin to cry struggling to finally get him off causing you to fall backwards with negan on you
"You are a dead fucking man!....now get the fuck off my property..." Negan threats
You push negan off to go check on jack you try to get jack to respond to you and see if he is okay but he just spits in your face shoving you away causing you to fall before you know it negan charges back over and starts beating the shit out of him all you can do is scream at them and cry. Through tear filled eyes you notice the cops rushing up the street pulling into the drive way the last thing you remember is the cops pulling negan off and everything went black.
---------------------------------------------
Jack and negan were both arrested but were soon let go apparently i had fainted due to stress and dehydration they kept me in the hospital until i was better. You kicked jack out of the house and you haven't spoke to negan since ellies birthday. Things have been rough being alone for ahwile and ellie was getting upset about not seeing her dad.
Text from negan:
Hey....im coming by
You looked at your phone to see a text from negan but you just ignored it and continued to cook some food for ellie. There was a knock at the door you sighed annoyingly before unlocking the deadbolt and opening the door to negans innocent brown eyes staring back at you. before you could give him a chance to speak you shut the door in his face but he quickly caught it in time with his foot in the doorway before it closed.
"Negan...ellie should be home. She is still upset" you sigh
"Thats okay i want to make it up to you two" he says pushing the door open coming inside
You just stand there silent with your arms crossed untill you hear ellies bus coming down the road and before you know it she busts through the door yelling.
"Mommmyyyy! Happy mothers dayzz!" Ellies runs up to you handing you a picture she made at school
"Awe...thank you sweet heart its gorgeous" you took the pink paper from her smiling and when to hang it on the fridge
"Look i want to take you two out to dinner...its mothers day and you deserve it..look i know i fucked up but that asshole had it coming" negan says
"Negan dont.....go ask Ellie she is the real one you need to be apologizing to not me" you stare at the ground avoiding eye contact.
"Ohh ellie daddy wants to talk to you!" He walks off to her room
-----------------------------------------------
You, negan, and ellie were all out at dinner at your favorite steakhouse enjoying your meal when the waiter brought a bottle of wine
"Negan....i cant afford that" you quietly say
"Ah ah....you deserve it i mean you are the best mom ever" he winks at you popping the lid off pouring wine into your glass
"Thanks..." You shyly say before taking a sip
"So.....the school fired me" negan cleared his throat
You choked on your drink hearing the words that had just came out of negans mouth
"What?..how come" you say wipping wine off your chin
"Well....they dont want me as a coach anymore since what happened at ellies birthday. They say its wildly inappropriate and against policy to still have me there" he bites in his steak
"What are you going to do..." You ask worried
"Ohhh no biggie i always have things taken care of" he smiles at you
"If you need anything im here..." You look up at him
" i know....thank you" he reaches across the table holding your hand
The three of you finish up dinner afterwards you all go for a late walk through the park. It felt nice to get out and have some fresh air after what happended at the party. Your phone kept buzzing off the hook of texts from jack you kept trying to hide it from negan to not let him worry. You felt bad hiding it from negan but you knew it would start a fight but you also didnt want to let jack go without some talking. Negan took you and ellie back home ellie ran inside and got ready for bed.
"I know he is talking to you..." Negan says sternly while placing one hand against the wall beside your head
"Negan....can we not talk about this right now" you say turning your head away from him
"No!...you will look at me when im speaking to you" negan grabs ahold of your chin forcing you to look at him
"Yes....yes im still talking to him.." You say embarassed
"Why....he is such a load of whoreshit....im standing right infront of you (y/n)...im here now! Take me back please. Im an honest man now!" Negan growls
" get...off of me!" You scream and shove him away from you and begin to walk angrily down the road
"(Y/n) get back here now!...where the fuck do you think you are going!" Negan trys to catch up with you when it suddenly starts raining
"Negan stop trying so hard!...this is going nowhere!" You say crying
"Why do you keep saying that!...i want this to work!" Negan finally catches up to you grabbing you by the arm spinning you around
"......well i dont..." You choked on those words as they slipped out of your mouth it felt like your heart had just stopped for a split second it killed you to say that to negan but it had to be done
"You....dont want this." He said quietly and upset with rain drops running down his perfect face
"Negan....i.... I cant. You have to let me go" you say caressing his face" you said giving him a half smile with a single tear rolling down your cheek
"W....what about ellie.....thats my babygirl" Negan begans to tear up pulling you into a hug
"You can still be in ellies life.....i start therapy next tuesday" you say ending the hug
"You can talk to me (y/n)" negan sniffles
"There are just things that just feel easier letting out to a stranger sometimes..."
"I love you....." Negan says bresthlessly
"....i love you too but from a distance.....i have boundaries set now negan"
You and negan began to walk back to the house getting inside you hand him a towel to dry himself off. Negan follows you to the bedroom.
"There are still some of your clothes in the closet...." You say facing away from him
"You still have some of my old clothes here...." Negan opens the door seeing his shirts still hanging in the same spot before he moved out
"I didnt know if you still wanted them or not..." You say nervously
"Its okay. Thank you" negan takes off his soaking wet shirt switching it out with an old faded band shirt
"You can sleep on the couch if you would like..." You offer him
"You sure you are going to be okay with that?" He raises an eyebrow at you
"Yeah....plus its been lonely here just me and ellie" you chuckle handing him a blanket
Negan takes the blanket from you before turing around to open the bedroom door to leave. As soon as the door shut you quietly sobbed making sure it wasnt loud enough for negan to hear. You wiped your tears away before getting yourself ready for bed. You tossed and turned for most of the night your head filled with unnecessary thoughts and cenarios. You just wanted all of this pain to go away you dont know what you are doing with yourself anymore the only thing that keeps you holding on is ellie and negan.

Update...
Tumblr media
I honestly need to apologize for my absenence and how long i’m taking with certain projects...But this is an update that will explain what i’ve got planned
First being that requests,Chibi and Pen requests are on hold.Just for now, hopefully not for long,i’m so sorry, but i just need to get certain things out of the way,and balacing school along with it,i just come back exhausted and don’t know what to do...I hope you all understand, again i apologize for how long this is all taking...
Second being with my ocs and characters, what i plan on trying doing...I want to show characters i’ve been working on...right now,my main focus our characters of mine and what to do...I want to put Tod’s plan back into motion, but i’m unsure when exactly...I wanted to ask certain people if they still wanna help/join but... I’m scared too,to be fair with you.So it’s just something i’m thinking about that needs to be done soon...I’ve been focusing on a few things that i’m honestly excited to show and explain, see what you lot think <3 i need to get reference done along with all the adopted ocs of mine i need to sketch and show .w. there is still alot and i just need to get this done...
I thank you all so so much for your patience, and i just hope you all have a amazing day! <3
[Warning] Below here is just a silly old vent, take my advice and just ignore it, if you don’t want your day flat out ruined by my stupid worry,i suggest you skip this and pay it no mind...
Tumblr media
Okay...If you honestly want to know, then i just apologize for this, but if i don’t just say this soon,it’s going to get worse...Again,i can’t apologize enough for this, if you get mad at me bout this,i won’t blame you,i’m just being utterly stupid and idiotic, again though...I just can’t keep this in anymore...
For awhile now,and i mean awhile...I’ve been worrying...Worrying about what..? how bout we start off with something i refused to show at the time, but now,i just want to get this out,it hurts to think about...
I worry about loads of things, especially inturrpting when it comes to servers...and what's been happenin recently i just fear one little slip up is gonna get me kicked out of everythin along with chattin to folk,i want to,but i feel like i'd be annoyin em or wastin time, along with inturrpting them on the server so i just don't...these are honestly people i wanna talk with, look up to but i just can't.I have so many damn fears about it and it's scared me to death to even speak to people i see as idols.i'm just not ready to go back to the way i used to be with talking to folks,by just getting so worried sick and scared i'd break down into tears after writing a message for em... but then i just feel silly or stupid bout not havin courage, but still can't do it it's somethin that's been here for awhile and i dunno,i'm just tryin to go with it and not think bout it,but it just..Hurts even more hell...My own Insterests i'm terrified bout now cause of seein a certain post,i'm worried people will just hate the things i use for story and say stuff...bout stayin away from somethin like me,the way i think i just hate, cause i think my mindset is horrible in so many ways, how it works and how it takes certain things, good things that folks like sayin then just spinning it to somethin that hurts like hell... When I see friends makin friends and socializing,i’m happy but then i start to think.”Oh i should try too-” But then just immedaitely tell myself “No,You’re being stupid and horribly selfish, the moment you do,they won’t forgive you for being like this..” I feel like i can’t speak to folks i want, folks i look up to,cause then it’ll immediately be spung around to me bein selfish and just bad, a bad person,it’s how my mind fuctions and takes these situations,so i just shut up and not speak, then beat myself up horribly for not even trying and how stupid i’m being.
I’m honestly just flat out terrified now...I was worried bout getting into a certain mindset again, this one being awhile back but with alot of other stuff...I’m just worrying, worrying over everything and every single thing i do,and the worse thing is...I just don’t know what to do anymore...I don’t know...I just don’t know what to do to fix this anymore,i thought just swallowing it all down and saying “i’m fine” would work,i didn’t care about myself,i cared about those close to me... i thought,if i was to even dare bring this up,it just ruin everything...I’m scared, scared to speak to those close to me,scared to discuss certain plans with certain people cause i just worry i’ll annoy or wast their time...i’m worried i’ll go back into even worse mindsets, one being that “Improvement” mindset...Setting such an unrealistic goal and then just rip myself apart cause i believed if i didn’t improve,i’d lose my worth to others...
I’m worried.I’m terrified.And I’m just lost...
this doesn’t even scratch the surface bout all my freakin worry.....I won’t blame you if you’re mad at me,hate me for this,i honestly won’t blame you...All i can say i’m sorry, sorry bout wasting your time with this, sorry for bothering you, i’m so sorry...It’s just somethin i couldn’t keep in anymore, and i’m sorry bout that, sorry bout being weak and just not dealing with it,i’m honestly so so sorry...

Install haproxy Ubuntu.

Rds Tracing For Windows Remote Desktop Services
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Server Manager, click Remote Desktop Services Collections Tasks Create Session Collection. Enter a collection Name (for example, ContosoDesktop). Select an RD Session Host Server (Contoso-Sh1), accept the default user groups (ContosoDomain Users), and enter the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) Path to the user profile disks created above (Contoso-Cb1UserDisks). Nov 19, 2015 Microsoft Remote Desktop Services RDS allows users to access centralized applications and workstations in the data center remotely. Microsoft RDS is the new expanded and renamed Microsoft Terminal Services. In this post I will document the implementation of RDS in my home lab using an ‘all-in-one’ configuration. VBoring Blog Series.
Applies to: Windows Server (Semi-Annual Channel), Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016
This article describes the roles within a Remote Desktop Services environment.
Remote Desktop Session Host
The Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) holds the session-based apps and desktops you share with users. Users get to these desktops and apps through one of the Remote Desktop clients that run on Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android. Users can also connect through a supported browser by using the web client.
You can organize desktops and apps into one or more RD Session Host servers, called 'collections.' You can customize these collections for specific groups of users within each tenant. For example, you can create a collection where a specific user group can access specific apps, but anyone outside of the group you designated won't be able to access those apps.
For small deployments, you can install applications directly onto the RD Session Host servers. For larger deployments, we recommend building a base image and provisioning virtual machines from that image.
You can expand collections by adding RD Session Host server virtual machines to a collection farm with each RDSH virtual machine within a collection assigned to same availability set. This provides higher collection availability and increases scale to support more users or resource-heavy applications.
Rds Microsoft Remote Desktop Services User Cals
In most cases, multiple users share the same RD Session Host server, which most efficiently utilizes Azure resources for a desktop hosting solution. In this configuration, users must sign in to collections with non-administrative accounts. You can also give some users full administrative access to their remote desktop by creating personal session desktop collections.
You can customize desktops even more by creating and uploading a virtual hard disk with the Windows Server OS that you can use as a template for creating new RD Session Host virtual machines.
For more information, see the following articles:
Remote Desktop Connection Broker
Remote Desktop Connection Broker (RD Connection Broker) manages incoming remote desktop connections to RD Session Host server farms. RD Connection Broker handles connections to both collections of full desktops and collections of remote apps. RD Connection Broker can balance the load across the collection's servers when making new connections. If RD Connection Broker is enabled, using DNS round robin to RD Session Hosts for balacing servers is not supported. If a session disconnects, RD Connection Broker will reconnect the user to the correct RD Session Host server and their interrupted session, which still exists in the RD Session Host farm.
You'll need to install matching digital certificates on both the RD Connection Broker server and the client to support single sign-on and application publishing. When developing or testing a network, you can use a self-generated and self-signed certificate. However, released services require a digital certificate from a trusted certification authority. The name you give the certificate must be the same as the internal Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the RD Connection Broker virtual machine.
Free Remote Desktop Services
You can install the Windows Server 2016 RD Connection Broker on the same virtual machine as AD DS to reduce cost. If you need to scale out to more users, you can also add additional RD Connection Broker virtual machines in the same availability set to create an RD Connection Broker cluster.
Before you can create an RD Connection Broker cluster, you must either deploy an Azure SQL Database in the tenant's environment or create an SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Group.
For more information, see the following articles:
SQL database in Desktop hosting service.
Remote Desktop Gateway
Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) grants users on public networks access to Windows desktops and applications hosted in Microsoft Azure's cloud services.
The RD Gateway component uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt the communications channel between clients and the server. The RD Gateway virtual machine must be accessible through a public IP address that allows inbound TCP connections to port 443 and inbound UDP connections to port 3391. This lets users connect through the internet using the HTTPS communications transport protocol and the UDP protocol, respectively.
The digital certificates installed on the server and client have to match for this to work. When you're developing or testing a network, you can use a self-generated and self-signed certificate. However, a released service requires a certificate from a trusted certification authority. The name of the certificate must match the FQDN used to access RD Gateway, whether the FQDN is the public IP address' externally facing DNS name or the CNAME DNS record pointing to the public IP address.
For tenants with fewer users, the RD Web Access and RD Gateway roles can be combined on a single virtual machine to reduce cost. You can also add more RD Gateway virtual machines to an RD Gateway farm to increase service availability and scale out to more users. Virtual machines in larger RD Gateway farms should be configured in a load-balanced set. IP affinity isn't required when you're using RD Gateway on a Windows Server 2016 virtual machine, but it is when you're running it on a Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual machine.
For more information, see the following articles:
Remote Desktop Web Access
Remote Desktop Web Access (RD Web Access) lets users access desktops and applications through a web portal and launches them through the device's native Microsoft Remote Desktop client application. You can use the web portal to publish Windows desktops and applications to Windows and non-Windows client devices, and you can also selectively publish desktops or apps to specific users or groups.
RD Web Access needs Internet Information Services (IIS) to work properly. A Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) connection provides an encrypted communications channel between the clients and the RD Web server. The RD Web Access virtual machine must be accessible through a public IP address that allows inbound TCP connections to port 443 to allow the tenant's users to connect from the internet using the HTTPS communications transport protocol.
Matching digital certificates must be installed on the server and clients. For development and testing purposes, this can be a self-generated and self-signed certificate. For a released service, the digital certificate must be obtained from a trusted certification authority. The name of the certificate must match the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) used to access RD Web Access. Possible FQDNs include the externally facing DNS name for the public IP address and the CNAME DNS record pointing to the public IP address.
For tenants with fewer users, you can reduce costs by combining the RD Web Access and Remote Desktop Gateway workloads into a single virtual machine. You can also add additional RD Web virtual machines to an RD Web Access farm to increase service availability and scale out to more users. In an RD Web Access farm with multiple virtual machines, you'll have to configure the virtual machines in a load-balanced set.
For more information about how to configure RD Web Access, see the following articles:
Remote Desktop Licensing
Activated Remote Desktop Licensing (RD Licensing) servers let users connect to the RD Session Host servers hosting the tenant's desktops and apps. Tenant environments usually come with the RD Licensing server already installed, but for hosted environments you'll have to configure the server in per-user mode.
The service provider needs enough RDS Subscriber Access Licenses (SALs) to cover all authorized unique (not concurrent) users that sign in to the service each month. Service providers can purchase Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Services directly, and can purchase SALs through the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) program. Customers looking for a hosted desktop solution must purchase the complete hosted solution (Azure and RDS) from the service provider.
Small tenants can reduce costs by combining the file server and RD Licensing components onto a single virtual machine. To provide higher service availability, tenants can deploy two RD License server virtual machines in the same availability set. All RD servers in the tenant's environment are associated with both RD License servers to keep users able to connect to new sessions even if one of the servers goes down.

The English Lake District
Granville Harris/LOOP IMAGES/Getty Images
England's newest UNESCO World Heritage Site covers more than 885 square miles of Cumbria in the northwest corner of England, just below the Scottish Border. The region includes more than 50 lakes and mountain tarns as well as England's highest mountain, Scaffell Pike, and three others of more than 3,000 feet.
When the railroads arrived in the area in 1840, the Victorians followed and this became the first part of Britain that saw organized touring and vacation travel.
Unsuited for most kinds of farming, the Lake District became one of England's primary areas for raising sheep. The needs of sheep and sheep farmers, in turn, shaped the landscape. Among those who sought to retain the Lake District's harmonious way of life was children's author Beatrix Potter, who lived, farmed and wrote here. During her lifetime, she bought up thousands of acres of farms and pastures. When she died, she left them, along with a considerable fortune, to the National Trust.
The Lakes and the Lakeland Fells have, over the years, inspired many more authors, from one of the earliest female travel writers and diarists, the intrepid Celia Fiennes in 1698, through a host of Romantic poets—Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Robert Southey along with their visitors, Shelley, Sir Walter Scott, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Keats, Tennyson and Matthew Arnold.

The City of Bath
Juan Jimenez / EyeEm/Getty Images
From its 2,000 year old Roman Baths to its Georgian terraces and Pump Room, the entire city of Bath was listed by UNESCO in 1987, one of the earliest world cities to be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
The Roman baths and the temple complex together with the remains of the Roman city, Aquae Sulis, are the most famous and important Roman ruins north of the Alps. They are one of only a small number of Roman bath complexes worldwide actually heated by natural hot springs (the only hot springs in Britain).
The Palladian architecture of the 18th century spa town, developed during the reign of George III, incorporates and preserves the Roman site in their layout and design.
Jane Austen enjoyed the health giving waters of Bath though she didn't think as much of the accompanying social scene and marriage market as did many of her characters. Besides its feast of historic architecture, Bath has great restaurants, top shopping, quirky museums, a lively cultural scene and brand new in the 21st century, a multi-million pound, thermal spa and a new luxury hotel with the hot spring waters actually pumped into guest rooms.

Blaenavon Industrial Landscape
Matt Cardy / Getty Images
In the 18th and early 19th century, Blaenavon in South Wales was one of the world's largest suppliers of coal and iron manufacture. The iron foundries and the coal mines that originally put Blaenavon on the map still remain.
Blaenavon was inscribed on the list in 2000 in recognition of its demonstration of the dynamic forces that shaped the early industrial revolution. Today, visitors can descend deep into the ground at The Big Pit, Wales National Coal Museum,. This was the last deep working coal mine in the area and when it closed in 1980 it ended and era that began with the Blaenavon Iron Works around 1789. The ironworks are considered the best preserved 18th century example in the world. The existing site includes remains of the late 18th and 19th century furnaces, original casting houses and kilns, workers’ housing, a massive chimney,cast-iron pillars and brackets and a water balace tower that demonstrates early life technology using water to counter-balance loads.
The nearly 13-square-mile site is laced with self-guided walks across a valley loaded with evidence of early settlement and industry.

Blenheim Palace
Andreas von Einsiedel/Getty Images
The only palace not in Royal hands in England, Blenheim Palace was a gift from Queen Anne to John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough and ancestor of Winston Churchill—who was born there. The grant was in recognition of his military victory at the Battle of Blenheim. The 18th century house, built between 1705 and 1722 by John Vanbrugh and Nicholas Hawksmoor, is set in a 2,100 acre park, designed by Capability Brown. Among Brown's achievements are lakes and a fabulous cascade that looks like a natural waterfall but it totally down to Brown's skill and artiface. Wander around the park and you might just spot the current Duke, who still occupies part of the house.

Canterbury Cathedral, St Augustine’s Abbey, and St Martin’s Church
Angel Villalba / Getty Images
Considered the “Mother Church” of the Anglican Communion, Canterbury Cathedral dates it's origins to St. Augustine, sent to convert the Britons more than 1400 years ago. The ruins of St. Augustine's Abbey, just outside the city walls, (which you can explore with VR goggles) date from AD 597. The Cathedral is also where St. Thomas à Becket was martyred after a possibly offhand remark by King Henry II. The King and Becket (who was then Archbishop of Canterbury and had been the King's boyhood friend) argued over whether the King's law took precedence over church law.  Henry was heard to remark, “Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest” and soon armed knights attacked Becket with swords while he knelt in prayer in the Cathedral. The spot is marked by a candle to this day. Chaucer's pilgrims were headed here in The Canterbury Tales.
St Martin's Church, a parish church founded sometime before 597AD,  also included in this World Heritage Site, is the oldest church in continuous use in the English speaking world.
In addition to the Cathedral and Cathedral Precincts, Canterbury is well located in Kent for visitors to coastal locations such as Whitstable, Chatham and Rochester.

The Castle and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd
PayPal / Getty Images
If you're a history buff, you'll need to travel around North Wales to see King Edward I's ambitious building program designed to cow the Welsh into recognizing him as their king.
Edward I of England led two military campaigns against the Welsh in the late 13th century. Eventually, he surrounded the North Wales province of Gwynedd with castles. These castles and fortified complexes—Beaumaris, Harlech, Caernarvon and Conwy—designed by his architect James of St. George, are considered the finest examples of 13th and 14th century military architecture in Europe.

Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape
If you've been following the BBC series Poldark, you'll recognize the characteristic engine house of Poldark's ever struggling tin and copper mine, Wheal Leisure. What you may not know is that in the 18th and 19th century, Cornwall and West Devon dominated the world supply of copper and tin. Copper was in demand to clad the hulls of the British Empire's wooden ships; from Napoleonic times onward, tin demand grew for the canning of food. The technology used in this part of southwest Britain led the world.
Today, this World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2006, is divided among ten different locations within close proximity of each other, protecting engine houses, beam engines, technology, transportation and communities important to this industry between 1700 and 1914.
Several of the mines used as locations in Poldark are within the World Heritage Site and can be visited. They include:
Botallack in St Just
Paths at Wheal Charlotte, Wheal Coates or Trevellas, in the National Trust site at Chapel Porth.
Levant Mine and Beam Engine, St Just.
You can also take an underground guided tour at Poldark Mine, the only complete tin mine in Cornwall open to visitors.

Derwent Valley Mills
Glen Woodccl
For good or ill, the factory system was born here when entrepreneur Richard Arkwright adapted and enlarged an earlier invention, the spinning jenny, into the water powered “spinning frame” and created an industry. His invention enabled mass production of strong cotton yarn and Britain's cotton textile production on a world conquering scale was born. Arkwright's 18th century model factories created a template that spread around the world. The mill buildings of New England, especially those beside the river in Lowell, Massachusetts, were influenced and inspired by Arkwright's Derwent Valley factories.
Because later development of the factory system moved on to urban settings, several the mills and mill communities here remained relatively unchanged for centuries.
The valley of the River Derwent lies near the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. Among several historic buildings that can be visited at this World Heritage site, Richard Arkwright's original 1783 cotton mill, Masson Mills, is a highlight. The earlier Cromford Mills nearby, built by Arkwright in 1771, was the world's first successfully water powered cotton mill.

Dorset and East Devon Coast
You've heard of Jurassic Park no doubt, but did you know that England has a real Jurassic Coast? It's 95 miles of the East Devon and Dorset Coast, in Southwest England. About a third of it is owned and protected by the National Trust. It's composed of wild beaches, sheer white cliffs and stunning rock formations. Important (and easily seen) evidence of the history of life on earth—185 million years of it—is included at this site.

Durham Castle and Cathedral
Julian Elliott Photography/Getty Images
A BBC poll choose Durham Cathedral as Britain's best-loved building. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries to house the relics of St. Cuthbert, evangelizer of Northumbria, and historian The Venerable Bede, it has been in continual use and occupation for 1,000 years.
The castle, behind it on a peninsula, is an ancient Norman fortress that housed the prince-bishops of Durham. Today it is part of Durham University and, amazingly, you can book a room to stay there. But visits to the Castle are by guided tour only, so check their website to book.

Frontiers of the Roman Empire
Roger Coulam/Getty Images
This is a multi-national site that reflects the northernmost extent of the Roman Empire in the 2nd century AD. Part of this UNESCO World Heritage inscription stretches across nothern Germany.
In the UK, there are two important areas:
Hadrian's Wall : As the Roman Empire began to crumble, the Romans built a defensive wall, across the North of Britain, from Carlisle to Newcastle-on-Tyne, with further fortresses on the west stretching south along the Solway Firth. Today, remnants of the wall can be found for about 73 miles. Excavations at Vindolanda, a fort and village on Hadrian's Wall, provide a glimpse into the life of a Roman legion at the edge of the empire. Exhibitions include rare letters home and are among the only examples of Roman handwriting in the world. Hadrian's Wall has been inscribed in the world list since 1987.
The Antonine Wall: Twenty years after Hadrian built his wall, in 142 AD, the Emperor Antonius Pius attempted to extend the empire 60 miles further north and built what is now known as the Antonine Wall. Traces of it – some the stone foundations of mile-castles and some little more than ditches or embankments, reach across Scotland from the Firth of Clyde to the Firth of Forth. This evidence of the Roman Frontier was added in 2008.

Giant’s Causeway and Causeway Coast
Marco Bottigelli/Getty Images
The Giant's Causeway, near Bushmills on the North coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, isn't man made. Northern Ireland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site may look like a roadway into the North Atlantic but it is one of Ireland's natural phenomena, made of about 40,000 interlocking, hexagonal basalt columns. They are the remnants of an ancient volcanic lava glow, frozen in time—some more than 12 meters high. The tops of the columns form stepping stones, mostly hexagonal (six-sided) but also with four, five, seven and eight sides, leading from the foot of a cliff into the sea.
The Causeway is just part of the Causeway Coast that also includes the terrifying Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge; Northern Ireland's tallest cliff face; Dunseverick Castle, where a waterfall drops straight into the sea; and the haunted ruins of Bonamargy Friary.
The visitor's center, opened by the National Trust, brings the science, the history and the great Irish legends and stories associated with the causeway and coast to life.

The Heart of Neolithic Orkney
Andreas Strauss / LOOK-foto /Getty Images
Visitors to Orkney are immediately struck by the enormous concentration of mysterious prehistoric structures that dot the islands. Some are more than 5,000 years old, predating Stonehenge and the Pyramids by several thousand years. The site includes two very different stone circles, The Standing Stones of Stenness and The Ring of Brodgar. There's also a chambered burial mound called Maeshowe, full of Viking runes from a later period, and a 5,000 year old village, Skara Brae, with a number of un-excavated mounds and sites.

Maritime Greenwich

If you've heard the phrase “Greenwich Mean Time” then you know one of the reasons this ensemble of buildings enclosed in a 17th century park is important. The Royal Observatory engaged in the early astronomical work that made modern navigation possible. Observations by Robert Hooke, and John Flamsteed, the first Astronomer Royal, assured the first accurate measurement of the earth’s movement contributing to accurate global navigation. Today, when you visit the observatory you can straddle 0º longitude and learn about the base-line for the world’s time zone system.
Other buildings on the site include the first Palladian building in Britain, the Queen's House, designed by Inigo Jones; the Royal Hospital (now part of the University of Greenwich), a collection of Baroque buildings designed by Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor, and parts of Greenwich town center. The Royal Park, popular with visitors and locals and the site of equestrian events in the 2012 Olympics, was designed by André Le Nôtre in 1660.

The Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St Margaret’s Church
Julian Elliott Photography / Getty Images
Westminster Abbey is where English monarchs have been hatched, matched and dispatched for nearly 1,000 years. In other words, it has been the location of coronations, royal weddings and royal funerals (though not often burials) for centuries. King Edward the Confessor spent so much time establishing the Abbey that he neglected to have an heir, opening the door to the Norman Conquest. He's buried in the Abbey and his successor, William the Conqueror was crowned here.
Next to the Abbey, The Palace of Westminster—called the Mother of Parliaments—is a 19th century gothic revival on the footprint of Edward's original palace—some of which remains deep within the building. And nestled between the two and dwarfed by them, St Margaret's Church was created in the Middle Ages to serve the people of Westminster so they wouldn't disturb the Benedictine monks, who then controlled the Abbey, at their prayers.
Together, these three buildings represent nearly about eight centuries of architectural development and the relationship of the monarchy, civil power and the church in forming modern Britain.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal
Joanne Hedger/Getty Images
The virtually unpronounceable (unless you speak Welsh) Pontcysyllte Aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee at a height of 126 feet. At only 11 feet wide—just about the width of an English narrow boat with inches to spare on either side—this can be a hair-raising 1,007 foot long journey for anyone worried about heights.
The canal, used by thousands of narrow boat enthusiasts every year is 204 years old and recognized by UNESCO in June 2009 as the masterpiece of pioneering 17th and 18th century civil engineer Thomas Telford, one of the modern world's earliest and greatest bridge, road and canal builders.
In 2012, the Olympic Torch was carried across the canal in a narrow boat on its journey around Britain. Volunteers in Victorian dress towed the boat across. But don't worry. If you decide to do a narrow boat tour on the Llangollen Canal, you can hire a motored boat that crosses at a walking pace. Or join a public cruise across, try a horse-drawn narrow boat or even canoe across. But don't look down.

This 300 acre garden on the western edge of London in Kew ( a village of the Royal Borough of Richmond), claims the “largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections in the world”. Started as a Royal garden in 1759 on the site of an earlier exotic garden, it became a national institution in 1840.
The site includes 44 listed buildings including several historic, iron framed glasshouses. The gardens hold more than 30,000 living plants as well as at least seven million preserved specimens. In addition to being a worldwide research center for the study of plants, conservation and ecology, Kew also demonstrates garden artistry and design over more than 250 years. Easy to reach by London Underground or bus from Central London, Kew is wonderful to visit at any time of year.

Saltaire

Textile mill owner and philanthropist Sir Titus Salt created Saltaire as a complete community for his workers in the 1850s. The village is named for Salt and for the River Aire, in West Yorkshire near Bradford, on which it is located.
Mills, the employees' housing, the dining room, Congregational Church, almshouses, hospital, school, institute, and a park all still remain and many are still in use. The World Heritage site demonstrates the emerging paternalistic concern of Victorian employers for social welfare, health and education of their workers. It served as a model for the “garden city” movement in Britain, the USA and elsewhere.

The Tower of London

William the Conqueror followed his conquest of Britain with a frenzy of castle building. The White Tower, at the center of the fortress now known as the Tower of London, was started almost immediately, in 1066. With it, William the Conqueror baldly demonstrated Norman power and created a fortress and gateway to London at a strategic bend in the River Thames.
Today the tower remains a military establishment. It also houses the British Crown Jewels, the Royal Armoury and the world's oldest continuous public exhibitions; The Line of Kings, the world's longest running visitor attraction, opened in 1652. Its display of English Kings in full suits of armor besides full-sized wooden horses was originally created for King Charles II after the Restoration of the Monarchy. It has been on continuous exhibition and popular ever since.

Since IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Version 6.0, the WebSphere proxy server has been available to provide intelligent routing of HTTP requests based on configured routing rules and performance metrics. Although not as smart as the on-demand router component of IBM WebSphere Virtual Enterprise, the proxy server can provide services above-and-beyond the traditional WebSphere HTTP plug-in implementation seen in practically all IHS-fronted WebSphere Application Server clusters. This article compares these solutions so you can make determine the best choice for your requirements

Shared Nothing Architecture Explained
Introduction
Why are companies such as Google and Facebook using the Shared Nothing Architecture, and how does it differ from other models?
Read on to learn what Shared Nothing is, how it compares to other architectures, and its advantages and disadvantages.
Tumblr media
What Is Shared Nothing Architecture?
Shared Nothing Architecture (SNA) is a distributed computing architecture that consists of multiple separated nodes that don’t share resources. The nodes are independent and self-sufficient as they have their own disk space and memory.
In such a system, the data set/workload is split into smaller sets (nodes) distributed into different parts of the system. Each node has its own memory, storage, and independent input/output interfaces. It communicates and synchronizes with other nodes through a high-speed interconnect network. Such a connection ensures low latency, high bandwidth, as well as high availability (with a backup interconnect available in case the primary fails).
Since data is horizontally partitioned, the system supports incremental growth. You can add new nodes to scale the distributed system horizontally and increase the transmission capacity.
Shared Nothing Architecture Diagram
The best way to understand the architecture of the shared-nothing model is to see it side by side with other types of architectures.
Below you see the difference in shared vs. non-shared components in different models - Shared Everything, Shared Storage, and Shared Nothing.
Unlike the others, SNA has no shared resources. The only thing connecting the nodes is the network layer, which manages the system and communication among nodes.
Tumblr media
Other Shared Architecture Types Explained
The concept of “shared nothing” was first introduced by Michael Stonebraker in his 1986 research paper, in which he contrasted shared disk and shared memory architecture. While comparing these two options, Stonebraker included the possibility of creating a system in which neither memory nor storage is shared.
When deciding whether SNA is the solution for your use case, it is best to compare it with other cluster types. Alternative options include:
Shared Disk Architecture
Shared Memory Architecture
Shared Everything Architecture
Shared-Disk Architecture
Shared disk is a distributed computing architecture in which all the nodes in the system are linked to the same disk device but have their own private memory. The shared data is accessible from all cluster nodes and usually represents a shared disk (such as a database) or a shared filesystem (like a storage area network or network-attached storage). The shared disk architecture is best for use cases in which data partitioning isn’t an option. Compared to SNA, it is far less scalable.
Tumblr media
Shared-Memory Architecture
Shared memory is an architectural model in which nodes within the system use one shared memory resource. This setup offers simplicity and load balancing as it includes point-to-point connections between devices and the main memory. Fast and efficient communication among processors is key to ensure efficient transmission of data and to avoid redundancy. Such communication is carried out through an interconnection network and managed by a single operating system.
Shared-Everything Architecture
On the opposite side of the spectrum, there is the shared everything architecture. This architectural model consists of nodes that share all resources within the system. Each node has access to the same computing resources and shared storage. The main idea behind such a system is maximizing resource utilization. The disadvantage is that shared resources also lead to reduced performance due to contention.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Shared Nothing Architecture
When compared to different shared architectures mentioned above, it is clear the Shared Nothing Architecture comes with many benefits. Take a look at some of the advantages, as well as disadvantages of such a model.
Advantages
There are many advantages of SNA, the main ones being scalability, fault tolerance, and less downtime.
Easier to Scale
There is no limit when it comes to scaling in the shared-nothing model. Unlimited scalability is one of the best features of this type of architecture. Since nodes are independent and don’t share resources, scaling up your application won’t disrupt the entire system or lead to resource contention.
Eliminates Single Points of Failure
If one of the nodes in the application fails, it doesn’t affect the functionality of others as each node is self-reliant. Although node failure can impact performance, it doesn’t disrupt the overall behavior of the app as a whole.
Simplifies Upgrades and Prevents Downtime
There is no need to shut down the system while working on or upgrading individual nodes. Thanks to redundancy, upgrading one node at a time doesn’t impact the effectiveness of others. What’s more, having redundant copies of data on different nodes prevents unexpected downtime caused by disk failure or data loss.
Disadvantages
Once you considered the benefits of SNA, take a look at a couple of disadvantages that can help you decide whether it is the best option for you.
Cost
A node consists of its individual processor, memory, and disk. Having dedicated resources essentially means higher costs when it comes to setting up the system. Additionally, transmitting data that requires software interaction is more expensive compared to architectures with shared disk space and/or memory.
Decreased Performance
Scaling up your system can eventually affect the overall performance if the cross-communication layer isn’t set up correctly.
Conclusion
After reading this article, you should have a better understanding of Shared Nothing Architecture and how it works. Take into account all the advantages and disadvantages of the model before deciding on the architecture for your application.
