There's a lot of fanfic I'd like to see people write for this series, but the one I really absolutely yearn for is a Doctor Nova/Spellbinder gothic/horror romance set after Starhammer kills him.

He wakes up safely, in a bed surrounded by medical equipment, with a worried Mell hovering over him. He can't remember much, everything feels scattered and confusing. She tells him that's fine, expected even- he's had a terrible accident and she's caring for him while he recovers, taken him somewhere safe and hidden they can just be together while he gets his strength back.

The days stretch on and they're happy together, he's happy, and she's so kind to him- but there's this quiet nagging thought that something is wrong. And the more he tries to think about things, the less they add up...

Sooner or later, he inevitably figures out the truth: Spellbinder did not escape that room alive, just the same as that timeline went in canon. But when the galaxy's greatest expert in androids is grieving and inclined to make bad decisions, she can accomplish remarkable things.

Remarkable, if not entirely healthy.

A mad scientist playing house in a top-secret hidden bunker in some desolate asteroid with her robot copy of the man she loved and outlived, while outside at the hands of her first creation the galaxy burns...

You can't tell me there's not some deliciously tragic potential in that.

My kiddos cosplaying as the Backyardigans! 💙🩷🧡💛💜

I heard the unfortunate news that Janice Burgess, the creator of Backyardigans passed away recently, which is pretty saddening. I think doing this little cosplay thing was a bit of a tribute to her.

Thank you Janice for creating such an amazingly iconic show loved by many, and you will truly be missed 🩷 🌹

Random TLH thoughts, theorys, and headcanons too short to make their own posts:

Sola should farm Omega for points/exp for her armor. She gains points when she kills enemies, so theoretically she should gain points from killing Omega. She probably has enough left over from the Iron King, but i propose she does this for funsies.

Re. Sola and Omega, maybe this is a long shot but I would like to see an eventual Sola Omega friendship. Omega makes Sola a gun.

Re. Omega friendship, I want to see a Mell and Omega friendship. I think they would be very interesting together, Mell is seemingly completely unaffected by Omega's personality/shape. Geniunely hilarious how every time Omega tries to intimidate her she is completely unaffacted. Let Mell experiment on Omega! I feel like her android gift should have compatibilty w/ Omega's aethertech body, given that he is a humanoid robot albiet more cyborg than andriod.

Re. Omega and Mell, maybe its just me but these two got parallels. Firm believer in that Mell is similar to how Omega was before. Fighting against an organization deemed good that they know are corrupt. Mell is the Omega before he shot the President. (<- this is an older thought and one I'm not sure I agree with 100% now, but I'm curious to see how it plays out in The Pilot)

I find it it interesting to note that Dr. Cryce is Lichborn but worked in the Alliance despite the Lichborn & Karoshan war. Honestly the whole Dr. Cryce & Kyri background was pretty interesting and I wish we saw more of it.

So a few days ago I made a blank scripts OC named Mell, and ever since I made her I’ve been just thinking more little tidbits of more for her, so here’s a silly little doodle page I made ^^

Lore:

- Mell is a NPC who often lurks in the shadows of the dungeon watching and observing everything and everyone

- She is incredibly shy and introverted towards others, often avoiding the ‘janitors’ and any unlikely visitors

- She has a boyfriend :0 his name is Zephyr, and he is another NPC! He’s just a silly farm boy who gets into trouble a bunch and hurts himself on accident a lot. He’s very affectionate and clingy, which Mell doesn’t mind at all ^^

- ^ she’s pan!!

- Mell likes the guard dogs of the dungeon, often getting sorta bitter when others find them ‘disgusting’ (she thinks they’re pretty cool)

- Fun Fact: her apron is WAY too big for her, which is why the ribbon is tied around her waist two times

- She’s has a restrictive eating disorder! She can only eat meat (meal-wise; desserts and candies are fine for her)

- If she actually existed IRL, she probably would be rlly into fundamental paper education (which I kinda based off the background on!)

- She absolutely HATES when there’s too much light in one room. It just gives her so many sensory issues to where she will cry if she can’t get out of a bright room

- Autism rep? Autism rep.

- Mell likes to infodump to her small group of friends, and will absolutely try to impress someone with her knowledge if she finds them rlly cool

- Another fun fact: she likes playing with her bones and feeling the texture on them, and even sometimes lets Zephyr to touch them if they’re just walking around doing nothing

Just thought of this just now, but the reason why Mell was/is so obsessed with finding the Zenith Devices could be because this reason. Maybe its an innate thing if she really was cloned by people who worked on the Zenith Devices, but I think its more likely that Mell was fed stories of the Zenith Devices and then she wanted to "reunite" with them. My now headcanon is that she spent a good portion of her childhood dreaming of having a special bond with the Zenith Devices and rediscovering them. Of course she's has to find the Zenith Devices, she's going to be the greatest Aether Technician and its in her DNA! Its the kind of childhood fantasy that leads into a more realistic adulthood interest, except it actually came true for Mell.

My other new headcanon is that if Mell really was cloned by actual Technicians that worked on the Zenith Devices, is that Horizon recognizes her. Not exactly in a "I know who you are" way but in the way that Horizon finds her familiar or in the way you would recognize a child of an old friend. Its one of the reasons why Horizon pushed so hard for Varic to hire her.
