What do u think Tony’s fashion sense would’ve been like in the 90’s? I’m envisioning crop tops galore
OOOH yes my favourite hc is tony in crop tops okay? I imagine him attending most classes in crop tops and he gets called out by the profs? Or maybe he works part time in a car shop and does his shifts wearing this?

Meanwhile winter Tony is always all bundled up and despises the cold and we barely see his eyes peeking from behind his clothes

I swear that man saying Riri was a stain on Stark's legacy was ridiculous no Tony's actions were a stain on his OWN legacy. Also how come that shady ass professor who stole Riri's work and gave to the government hasn't been mentioned. Riri should have gotten full compensation from the school afor that. I would have SUED HIM.

Tony’s behavior: Teenager/Young Adult (17-18 years old)
In the First part (Kid) and the Second part (16 years old), we learned that at least for his first 16 years, Tony did not have an Alter Ego. He was brave and smart, as we all know him, but also surprisingly calm and quiet. Despite the popular opinion about him, he was not a spoiled bragging brat. He was the opposite.
However, in this part we will see some changes. What caused these changes will be discussed later in another series of posts.
What sources we have on 17-18 year old Tony? Just a few: What If? S2, E2 and an MIT Alumni article.
Let's start with the article:
“I saw him a few times at the chess boards near Au Bon Pain in Harvard Square. There was this guy down there, a chess master, and you could give him five or ten bucks and he'd play you a game. A couple of times I remember [Tony] breezing in and throwing money on the table, and kind of wiping the floor with the guy.”
What can we get from this?
Tony is exceptional at chess. Well, no surprise. He is in every universe.
Despite his repeated victories against the chess master, he never participated in professional chess championships. As we know from the previous part, he was interested in robotics competitions, but it seems like he did everything else just for fun, not for recognition or a list of his achievements.
He never mentioned being good at chess or actually playing it in the MCU. I guess he was waiting for the right partner (Reed Richards).
He was the smartest, most skilled and capable guy on campus, but again, we can see how little we hear about him from that time.
“No one really knew him, he was just a rich kid. Everyone wanted him around, though, because he'd always bring something fun for the party.”
By this time he was already partying. Too bad we don't know what that "something fun" was.
"No one knew him". Still. He didn't really interact with other students and didn't have any relationships with them. He met Rhodey at that time though.
Despite that, they all wanted something from him. In this case - being around and bringing them fun. Nothing has changed decades later, has it?
“I remember him at after-parties on Thayer Street. He was up later than anyone else. But you could always get a ride home with him, because he always had a car.”
Wait. Did they just say he gave drunk students rides home from parties? He was SOBER?! What the heck was he doing there then?!
And did they just say that he helped everyone, even if they were all strangers to him? And like, always?!
"He was up later than anyone else". Tony is definitely not a morning person. We all knew that, this is just for official confirmation.
Next we have Henry Jenkins, the former co-director of MIT's Comparative Media Studies:
“Some students are larger than life—they leave a trace across the entire campus, and people talk about them well after they have left the building, so to speak. Stark was one of those people.”
“And don't get me started about the hacks that have been ascribed to Stark through the years. I have heard all kinds of claims about what Stark put on the Great Dome to the ways he rewired the elevators in the Green Building. They can't all be true, can they?”
That means:
This is the first time we hear about Tony's sense of humor. We know from AoU that he was already a great hacker. Maybe the best. But it seems he did it for fun, like chess. "Cracked the Pentagon firewall in high school on a dare", "put something on the Great Dome", "rewired the elevators". Did he do it to "bring fun to the parties"?
He was popular on campus. People were probably interested in a relationship or "friendship" with him. But we've already heard that "No one really knew him". If others tried to get closer to him, and still got this result, then it was he who tried not to get closer to them. Still, he was at the parties, providing them with entertainment and helping them get home afterwards. Strange.
What If? S2, E2 - 03:43
Tony is 18 years old, and this is the first (actual) time we see him (or, in fact, Howard) having father-son relationship issues.
We don't know why he was "a pain in the ass" to him. Maybe because of hacking, maybe because of pranks. Or parties where he didn't drink? Maybe because he wasn't a blond super soldier with a shield? Or because he was a kid? I don't know.
But Peggy seemed to see deeper and respect him, unlike his father. And she didn't really like Howard's attitude towards his son, judging by her expression in that scene.
Here she also confirms what was already said about him in the 1986 article (see previous part) - "has spunk", "has single-minded determination". Courage and determination were not part of his "character development." As I already said months ago, Iron Man was not born in the cave - Tony has always been like that.
Here we see 18-year-old Tony starts to put on a mask: the quiet nerd who is always ready to help anyone begins to pretend to be someone else.

Rhodey throws Tony his first real birthday in their dorm. It’s just the two of them, eating junk food, and watching Star Trek. Jarvis calls around noon and he’s the only other person to wish Tony a happy birthday.
It’s the best birthday Tony has ever had. All the others were about his parents or forgotten in favor of celebrating Steve for Memorial Day.
This is when Tony decides that Rhodey is going to be next to him forever. They are brothers now. And when Rhodey smears grocery store sheet cake on Tony’s face, kisses his cheek, and says “Happy Sweet Sixteen” Tony finally understands how people can cry from happiness.

like a Tony who is BARELY even a teenager at 15 compounded with the numerous daddy issues he is sooo easy to play like a fiddle. like oh you think I'm smart? my work and intelligence are good enough? well sure I'll climb into bed with you. sure I'll replace you're classrooms projector system-whats money to me anyway.
But also the threats of exulsions or failures or inablilities to enroll into classes. oh, Anthony, maybe we underestimated you. maybe 15 is just too young even for a supposed genius. maybe poor little howard stark's son isn't up to snuff :(
'look at me I'm so cool and Adult and cool, I WILL have that drink (and that drink and that drink and that drink) and do that dare and throw that punch and take that drug and fuck that girl who's ten years older than me, I DEFINITELY know how to handle this level of attention after living in a home where my mom never looked up from her lap at the dinner table and my dad only ever talked to me to critique me. Btw did I mention I'm Totally Cool?'
#Rhodey's first day at MIT and he realises he's been paired up in his dorm with a fucking kid and at first hes like. nah fuck this#and tries to move out#but then by the first night tony has already started doing some dumb shit and rhodey has this stunning moment of clarity where hes like.#'oh holy shit. someone needs to look after this literal child or he's going to get himself killed'#and then spends the next semester pulling tony out of various gutters and yelling at him

"hey kid," rhodey shows up all of a sudden. "you want to see something really funny?"
"oh, okay," peter smiles.
rhodey seems to have borrowed (he supposes) tony's starkpad and he shows peter videos of tony singing and dancing to himself in the lab. at like, 3 AM.
"rhodey, i swear to god," tony groans from somewhere. "stop embarrassing me."
"oh, please, you don't need me for that," rhodey rolls his eyes.

Irondad fic ideas #153
It's one of those "Peter gets outed as Tony's kid" fics. Except, you know how most of those end not too long after the public drama gets resolved? Peter and Tony talk out their feelings, maybe there's a press conference, and then it's over?
Not this one! This one contains a bonus plot!
A few years after the reveal, when the media frenzy has cooled down and Peter is now seen as just a normal celebrity kid, the internet explodes anew when Tony Stark's Secret Son We've Only Known About For Like 5 Years turns out to be Spider-Man.

Everyone at MIT thinks Tony and Rhodey are dating. Rhodey wishes it was true. Tiberius doesn’t like it. Tony is lost.
⚠️‼️English is not my first language I’m sorry for the mistakes I made 🙏
I also never went to MIT so it’s not really accurate.
It was a lazy Saturday on campus, the kind that felt too quiet to be real. Rhodey and Tony had claimed their favorite bench near the courtyard fountain, half-eaten sandwiches beside them, Tony’s head resting in Rhodey’s lap while he scrolled on his tablet.
Rhodey absently ran his fingers through Tony’s hair, gently untangling knots. Tony let out a pleased hum, eyes fluttering shut.
« You know this is peak rich-boy behavior. » Rhodey teased. « Using your best friend as a personal lap pillow. »
Tony smirked without opening his eyes.
« You love it. »
« Yeah, maybe. » Rhodey said too quietly, then cleared his throat. « You got crumbs in your hair again, by the way. »
Two other MIT students passed by, slowing down when they spotted the pair. One of them leaned closer to whisper.
« That’s definitely Stark, right? Damn, I didn’t know he was dating his roommate. »
Rhodey didn’t catch it but Tony cracked an eye open and snorted.
« Hey. » he muttered, poking Rhodey’s thigh, « some people think we’re dating. »
Rhodey tensed just a little.
« What, seriously? »
« Yeah. » Tony’s grin widened. « You’re very convincing boyfriend material, apparently. »
Rhodey rolled his eyes, trying to play it cool.
« Well, can you blame them? You practically purr when I pet your hair. »
« Do not. » Tony mumbled, nuzzling closer into Rhodey’s lap with an entirely unnecessary amount of smugness.
And Rhodey, helpless as ever, just let him stay like that.
That night, the dorm room was bathed in warm lamplight and the low buzz of music leaking in from down the hall. Rhodey sat on his bed, pretending to read through some class notes but his eyes kept drifting.
Tony stood in front of the mirror, half-dressed and humming to himself as he adjusted the collar of a too-expensive shirt. His curls were still a little damp from the shower, clinging to the curve of his neck. Rhodey watched the way his fingers moved, gracefully, and infuriatingly unaware of how effortlessly beautiful he was.
He wasn’t trying to look good. He just was.
Tony turned slightly, checking the mirror from another angle.
« Does this make me look like I’m trying too hard? »
Rhodey blinked, quickly sitting up straighter.
« Nah. You look- » Perfect. He cleared his throat. « You look fine. »
Tony smirked at the hesitation.
« You’re a terrible liar, baby. »
There it was again, baby. Casual, harmless, theirs.
Rhodey smiled, but his chest ached just a little.
« You going with anyone? »
Tony shrugged, turning back to the mirror.
« Nope. Probably just going to annoy some rich kids and drink something hard. »
Rhodey didn’t respond right away. He just watched. Watched the boy he lived with, laughed with, protected and loved. And tried not to want too much.
God, he thought, he’s beautiful.
And when Tony looked over his shoulder, catching his gaze with those big, mischievous eyes, Rhodey looked down, heart hammering.
The party was loud, louder than Rhodey liked, but he'd gotten used to following Tony into noise.
He stepped into the packed house, eyes scanning automatically. Laughter echoed down the hallway, red cups in every hand, and somewhere upstairs someone had started singing off-key to Bowie.
Then he spotted him, Tony, tucked into the corner of the living room with a group of older students, legs crossed on the couch, cheeks flushed from alcohol and attention. He was smiling wide, tipsy, eyes sparkling. He looked happy. Safe, even.
But Rhodey’s stomach twisted all the same.
Because beside Tony, draped too close, sat Tiberius Stone.
The guy had that look Rhodey never liked, casual, confident, just too smooth. He was laughing at something Tony said, leaning in like he had every right to be that close. And Tony, drunk and affectionate, didn’t notice. He didn’t see the way Tiberius’s fingers brushed his arm too often, didn’t catch the look in his eyes.
Rhodey moved before he could stop himself.
« Hey, baby. » he said as he slipped into the space beside Tony. He dropped a gentle hand to Tony’s back, grounding him, claiming him without claiming him.
Tony lit up.
« Rhodey! » He practically melted into him, head falling briefly to Rhodey’s shoulder. « I thought you weren’t coming. »
« You know I always come for you. » Rhodey murmured.
His eyes flicked to Tiberius, who was watching him now with mild interest and something that looked suspiciously like challenge.
Tiberius raised his drink.
« Didn’t think this was your kind of crowd, Rhodes. »
« I go where I’m needed. » He smiled, polite, calm. But his arm stayed firm around Tony’s waist.
Tony laughed again, blissfully unaware of the subtle tension.
« Tiberius was just telling me about the robotics lab internship. He said I should apply. »
« I’m sure he did. » Rhodey replied, not taking the bait. « You okay? Need water? »
Tony leaned into him again, nodding, lips brushing Rhodey’s shoulder.
« Better now. »
And Rhodey knew he shouldn’t read into it. But maybe, just maybe, Tony meant that more than he realized.
It took five minutes in the bathroom for Tony and Tiberius to be gone. Rhodey sighed, of course.
Tony leaned against the doorframe of an upstairs bedroom, slightly swaying, the drink in his hand long forgotten. Tiberius stood in front of him, closer now that they were away from the crowd.
« Everyone downstairs thinks you’re with him. » Tiberius said casually, sipping from his glass, eyes flicking down to Tony’s mouth and back up again.
Tony blinked, his buzz making the edges of his thoughts soft and slow.
« With who? »
« Rhodes. » Tiberius’s smile was sharp, lopsided. « The way he looks at you, calls you baby… You really don’t notice? »
Tony laughed a little, self-conscious.
« That’s just how he is. We’ve been tight since the start. »
« Sure. » Tiberius stepped closer. « But you're not his, are you? »
Tony opened his mouth but no sound came out. The room suddenly felt warmer. His back pressed more firmly against the doorframe, nowhere to retreat, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to, not until Tiberius’s fingers ghosted near his hip, just shy of touching.
« You know. » Tiberius murmured, « if you ever want to be seen differently... I could help with that. »
The words curled like smoke around him and Tony's breath caught, part flattered, part uncertain, the kind of uncertainty that came when alcohol blurred the edges of instinct.
Then:
« Tony. »
Rhodey’s voice, calm and firm, cut clean through the haze. He was standing at the top of the stairs, shoulders tense, jaw tight. Tony looked at him, eyes wide with something like relief.
« There you are. » Rhodey said, walking over. « Didn’t know we were playing hide and seek. »
Tiberius stepped back a little, his grin unshaken.
« Just talking. »
« Sure. » Rhodey turned his gaze to Tony, ignoring the older boy. « You okay? »
Tony nodded, maybe a little too quickly.
« Come on. » Rhodey said gently. « You need air. »
Tony hesitated only a second before pushing off the doorframe and following. Tiberius watched him go but didn’t say a word.
Downstairs, Rhodey didn’t speak until they were outside on the porch, cool air brushing their skin.
Tony finally broke the silence.
« Thanks. »
Rhodey looked at him, soft now.
« You alright? »
Tony shrugged, cradling the plastic cup between his hands like it might keep him grounded.
« I wasn’t gonna let him do anything. »
« I know. » Rhodey said. « Still didn’t like how he was looking at you. »
Tony gave a short laugh, almost self-deprecating.
« Yeah, well. I kinda liked it. At first. »
Rhodey’s jaw tightened.
« He doesn’t really see you, Tony. Not the way- »
Tony cut in, frowning.
« You don’t know that. He talks to me. Actually talks to me. He listens. He’s… he’s nice. »
There was a beat of silence. Rhodey didn’t move, but something in his expression shifted, like he’d just stepped on glass barefoot and was trying not to wince.
« I’m not saying he’s not nice. » Rhodey said carefully. « I’m saying… maybe you don’t need to get seen by someone who only looks when you’re lit up like a spotlight. »
Tony looked away, the hurt flickering for just a second across his features.
« At least he looks. »
Rhodey exhaled, steady and quiet.
« Yeah. I know. »
The silence stretched again, softer this time. Charged but tired. Then Tony broke it, his voice low and uncertain.
« You think I’m making it up in my head, don’t you? »
Rhodey hesitated, then said,
« I think you deserve someone who sees you without needing a party to remind them you exist. »
Tony didn’t answer that. Just stood there, staring into the dark.

Written for my personal fic writing challenge for 2024, Sophie's Year of Fic! Featuring a new fic being posted every Friday, all year long :)
Fandom: Marvel
Summary: Harley's SO shows up earlier than expected to his apartment and discovers he leads a slightly more interesting life than the average MIT student
Word Count: 1,781
Category: Fluff, Humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"Harley! You'll never believe the email I got from my professor! I mean, I'm not complaining, since it meant I could get out of class early and grab some food for us before coming here, but-"
I stopped short, frowning from the kitchen of my boyfriend's apartment. Normally, by now, he would've come out here to join me, or at least acknowledged me from somewhere else in the apartment. But I hadn't heard anything since I'd walked in the door.
Granted, I'd shown up much earlier than he'd been expecting me. My professor had canceled class about five minutes after I'd sat down in the lecture hall because he couldn't find parking, had been trying for twenty minutes, and was fed up with the whole ordeal. Still, there was no reason Harley shouldn't have been here. His lack of response was odd.
"Harley?" I called, tentatively heading towards his bedroom. I heard a hushed commotion and some shuffling from inside, then a muffled bang before total silence. I reached the knob, starting to feel a little concerned for the wellbeing of my boyfriend, when he flung the door open a moment before I could.
"Hey," he said, fixing me with a delayed version of his usual grin. "Sorry, I was just... cleaning something up."
"That's okay..." I said, narrowing my eyes a little and trying to look past Harley into his room. He shifted in the doorway to block me, and I raised an eyebrow at him. He grinned at me, trying to look suave, but I wasn't buying it. I ducked under his arm and moved into the room, looking around with my hands on my hips.
"You, uh... you said you had a story about an email from your professor?" asked Harley from behind me. I just hummed without turning around. He was acting weird, and I was determined to figure out why.
I scanned the room, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Other than my boyfriend, that is, who hovered behind me radiating a nervous energy I never felt from him every time I took a step. I started moving around the room, and Harley looked so nervous I thought he might fidget so hard he hit his head on the ceiling. I walked past the window and his bed with no real effect, but the moment I started heading for the closet with purpose, he sprang across the room to jump in front of me.
I put one hand on my hip and fixed him with a look.
"What's in the closet, Har?"
"Nothing."
I snorted. "According to my sources, that's a load of bullshit."
"What sources?"
"My common sense. Come on, you're never this jumpy, especially not around me! So what's in the closet. I know you're not hiding a secret lover in there, so just tell me. What is it?"
"It's... a surprise," he managed, not even half as convincing as he would need to be. I just rolled my eyes and took another step towards him.
"Harley Keener, you aren't fooling anybody. You are, however, starting to worry me. So come on. What's in the closet?"
Harley's eyes darted around the room, scanning me and our surroundings, and I could see his brain working a mile a minute. Finally though, he sighed, the restlessness draining away from him as he settled his stare on me. He looked like the normal, slightly tired, sarcastic and blunt guy that I'd fallen for so fast in one of our physics classes again, and relief washed over me.
"You want to know what's in the closet? Fine. I was working up to telling you all this shit anyway, so why not now?"
I raised an eyebrow, but Harley just turned around to open the closet door a crack. He had a harsh, whispered conversation with someone apparently hiding inside, and my mind started racing, trying to come up with possibilities that would tie into this whole situation and actually make sense. Before I could come up with anything, Harley stepped back, and someone stepped out of the closet.
Never in a million years would I have been able to come up with the guess "Spider-Man is hiding in my boyfriend's closet".
My mouth dropped open as the beloved hero of New York stepped further into the room, Harley at his side. I just stared, trying to get my brain working again. I wasn't having much success.
"What... how... why-?"
"Remember I told you I met Tony Stark once, in Tennessee? When I was a little kid?"
I nodded, shifting my attention to Harley again. He had his hands in his pockets, and the usual casualness in his posture seemed a little more forced than usual.
"Well, I didn't mention that I saw him again. Regularly. He's kind of... adopted me, I guess, as a science kid who helped him fight off some bad guys one time. I actually go visit somewhat regularly, and Spider-Man's Tony's other science kid."
I blinked a few times, looking between the two people before me, my brain still trying and failing to play catchup. Spider-Man gave me a little wave, which didn't really help.
"That's... Harley, that's insane! Why didn't you... why didn't you tell me?"
He sighed, his shoulders slumping a little as his gaze fell towards the floor.
"I didn't want to tell you before we got serious. It just felt weird, like I was bragging or trying to get you to like me based on who I know. And I didn't want you to go out with me because of it, either. And then when we did get serious, it had been long enough that I wasn't sure how to bring it up. I was trying to figure it out, but I guess that's not a problem anymore."
He shot a look at Spider-Man that only a sibling could, with all the annoyance and irritation possible communicated in a single second. I couldn't help smiling.
"Well, I'm glad I know now," I said, crossing the room to take Harley's hand and give him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I love you, Har. I'm always happy to hear about you and your life, even when it's... unexpected."
He smiled at me, then leaned in and gave me a real kiss. I didn't let it go on for more than a few quick seconds, since we still had a guest in the room, but it was still nice. A little reassurance for us both.
"So..." I started, finally turning to the masked superhero in the room. "It's nice to meet you, Spider-Man."
I held out my hand for a handshake, which he returned.
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you too! Harley talks about you all the time."
I grinned, and I could see Harley shaking his head out of the corner of my eye. Spider-Man's voice made him sound way younger than I'd thought he was, but I decided not to comment on it. At least, not right now.
"So... what brings you to my boyfriend's dorm, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh! Well, I'm working on this case, and there's this technology that I think can help me track down the bad guys I'm looking for, but I can't figure out how to hack into it, and Mr. Stark's super busy-"
"Yeah, just gimme the drive," Harley interrupted, holding out his hand. Spidey obliged, then Harley glanced back at me. "Are you okay with this? I know we planned to just hang out together and do some studying..."
"Har, you're involved in superhero business. I'm not going to tell you to drop it, especially when it doesn't really have an impact on us." I turned to Spider-Man. "Luckily for you, I even brought extra helpings of food from Harley and I's favorite place. Although, it might be kind of hard to eat it through the mask."
Spider-Man turned to look at Harley, who completely missed it because he was staring at me.
"I never agreed to share my food with him. How could you offer that?"
I just smiled and shook my head, nodding in Spidey's direction. Harley turned to him with narrowed eyes, but his expression quickly changed when he saw something in Spider-Man's body language or otherwise that had his eyebrows furrowing in concentration. Maybe Spider-Man was secretly telepathic or something.
After a few long moments where Harley and Spidey were apparently managing to have a silent conversation despite the mask, the superhero turned back to me. Harley took my hand in his, a small smile on his face, and then a moment later, Spider-Man whipped off his mask.
A baby-faced teenager stared back at me with a beaming smile, and I instantly got hit with the most irrational surge of protectiveness I'd ever felt.
"Hi! I'm Peter," he said, giving me another little wave. "Peter Parker. Harley trusts you, and I trust him, so I figured... I could probably share this with you."
I smiled, reaching out to lightly squeeze Peter's arm.
"Thanks, Peter. I'm glad you did. And not to be dramatic, but I'll take your secret to the grave."
Peter's eyebrows shot up, and I heard Harley snort from next to me. I grinned at them both and headed for the kitchen.
"Now c'mon, you've got a case to work on or whatever and I have a ton of upper div calculus homework. None of us has time to waste."
Both boys followed after me, and within a few minutes we were settled at the table in Harley's apartment. Harley and I sat shoulder to shoulder, legs pressed against each other. Even though we were working on separate things, we were completely together, which made everything so much easier.
Every once in a while, I'd look up at Harley and Peter working over the same laptop. Whenever one of them noticed me, we shared smiles before returning to our tasks. We'd moved past the whole Stark-superhero thing pretty quickly, and I was okay with that. It didn't really change my impression of Harley or who he was, it was just another interesting aspect of his life. But I didn't miss the significance in Peter sharing his identity with me.
He wouldn't have done that, and Harley wouldn't have given him the silent yes, if Harley wasn't incredibly serious about this relationship. I'd become more and more convinced over the past few months that Harley was the one, and this told me he was most likely on the same page.
Of course, we'd have to have some conversations about that at some point in the future. But for right now, I was just happy to be working next to him, perfectly comfortable together, even in this new aspect of his life. Shoulder to shoulder through shitty classes and superhero drop-ins alike.

please help me find this fic where its teenage Tony and Peter is young and lives with ben and may. I think it started with Peter maybe getting bullied in a park and Tony sees so he takes care of him and buys him ice cream, then takes him home on the bus. the 2 really bonded and so Tony became his babysitter
Hello! Could this be your fic?

something very STUPID about Captain America: Civil War is that while Steve sees Wanda as a 'child', at the beginning of the movie he was quite obviously TRAINING HER for operations, he also fights Peter although he does take it easy on him.
meanwhile Tony claims to want to protect Wanda but he's treating not only her but Peter too as collaterals/pawns, because that's what they are for him when he's so laser focused on redeeming himself that he's just making more and more mistakes, creating more and more issues.
the only thing this movie does is show us that while it COULD BE much more interesting in the sense of debating how much control over superpowers nations should have(as the superheros are still human beings), none of that matters as much as Steve and Tony being two self-serving hypocrites in the movie.
and yeah, obvious thing is obvious but i felt like putting it in my own words.
