I like the look and the feel of this method a lot.#In case anyone out there was wondering what the original doodle the Cowboy Wizard Jousting comic was - it was this!#I had indended it to stay a sketchbook doodle but I kept thinking about it - and figured 'why not also use it to do an art experiment?'#The funny thing about using existing characters for this is that this isn't even that far off from what they actually are.#The original pitch for the setting of FFS was 'Cowboy Exorcists'. Which sort of just makes them Cowboy Wizards in a way.#Design wise all I really did here was give them sillier hats.#Fitch isn't boy enough for the boy to be more than a carry over from 'cowboy'#But our Nameless Nobody? Yeah. They earned that Coward Badge good and true.#I have a few more doodles from this (AU? I guess?) That I may post if I'm low energy this week.#I missed drawing these little fellas. i feel like dream in human aus is usually characterized as being more stoic and stern while hob is more easygoing, but i think it would be funny to have a university au where hob is the professor who's like "no work is deserving of 100%. find 27 more sources and do it again" while dream is just like "they put their dreams into it, hob 🥺 A+! A+! A+! A+!"

#hob: you got this date wrong in the paper. c-#dream: i like all the misspelled words. really adds personality to the story. So I'm seeing a lot of fanarts involving Kai having insect traits.

A little, barely formed antennae, pincers on his mouth or some other insect-related thing somewhere on his body.

Basically, during his stay in this freakish, bug infested realm, he starts developing those insect traits. He starts to literally become one. We all know that - that's what the fanarts are depicting after all, but...

Might I suggest something kinda... disturbing?

He wakes up one day and feels something on his mouth, or well, more specifically near the corner of his lip. He reaches his hand to feel and is horrified to feel something thin and quite frankly long protruding from his face

He retracts his hand in momentary fear. He's barely thinking as he reaches for the blade he has to see his reflection.

He positions the blade and is once again horrified to see a pincer that had most likely grown whilst he was asleep in the reflection.

So Kai is absolutely terrified, realising that the longer he stays here, then more of these mutations will grow.

The realm is not only forcing him to battle these bugs and fight for another day. It's changing him both mentally and now physically.

Kai panics. He has to endure so much. He's slowly losing his sanity, and now his body!? He couldn't let this happen. He can't allow himself to succumb to the realms workings. He has to somehow stop this or at least postpone the transformation.

An idea strucks him, though he immediately shudders. It's not going to be pretty. He's going to have to build up some confidence and psych himself up.

He places the blade down. He has to get everything out. He reaches for the pincer with one hand, takes a deep breath, and pulls the pincer as hard as he could, ripping it out.

Sorry @luc1dw0rld tumblr ate ur ask 💔 I remember it was essentially “what if reader opened the basement door whats dust gonna do then.” Well. Uh.

To answer that question- honestly all I could think of dust doing is…. pulling a hard bluff of threatening your life to keep sans from getting your attention. Then finding a way to destroy any means of you ever entering the basement again.

That raises several questions tho! Like, why would Sans trust him? He doesn’t. But if a guy thats held you captive in a basement threatens ur partners life you wouldn’t be stupid and take the risk lmao.

And also, What would Dust have to gain from killing you? Nothing but more exp honestly. He isn’t ready to admit to himself that he loves you, But the only thing that matters is making sure that Sans thinks he would go thru with it. Sure, any trust Sans may have had in him would be gone, sure. But he can work with that.

If he actually had to go through with it though? He would definitely hesitate for a second. Maybe even panic and freeze up as you try to reason with him or question his motives. The thought of that happening at all is what really has him shaken. But in that moment where everything he’s worked for could come crashing down in an instant… he has to take a risk, and hope that sans would trust him just enough to believe he isn’t bluffing, and hope that you would trust him just enough to not take another step down those stairs. So he wouldn’t have to do something… regrettable.
