Tutorial: How I edit my pics (Photoshop)

A not so helpful guide by me~
(orig. post)
For the beginning: I use my own Reshade and use only Photoshop to edit. (for videos I use Premiere Pro/After Effects)
Ingame: I use SRWE with the profile 3840x2400 to get it already in a better qualitity. For this pic I also used ReLight.
In Photoshop:
I start with using Topaz Clean with these Settings:
Next I make a Vignette ("Filter"-> "Lens Correction") with these Settings:
After that, I start making a bloom you can use this tutorial for that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMxnXfN7ZDg
Before and After
Now I put a filmic grain on it . For that I go on "Edit" and click on "Fill"
you want it to look like that
The pic will turn gray but thats normal!:)
Now I convert it into a smart object by right clicking on the layer.
Next I change the layer to "Overlay"
I continue with going to "Filter" and click on "Noise" -> "Add Noise"
The window will look like that. I like to put the Amount to 8 but that's all preference:)
That's it for the filmic grain. (I made it into an Action so it's faster)
My next step is to put a Curve to make the pic a bit more moody.
I don't put too much though lol, it also changes depening on the pic.
After that, I put a Color Lookup to change the color a bit.
For that I click on the little half moon bottom right.
I like to use on of the first 2 Kodak LUTs (Kodak 5205 or Kodak 5218)
I put the Fill of that layer around 40% to make it less strong.
Next I draw hair! (still a noob at it...) I use this Brush "Kyle's Real Oil Round Flex Wet" that comes with Photoshop:
Before and After
For the next step I use 2 Hue/Saturation Layers also on the little halfmoon bottom right.
With that I draw Shadows and Highlights!
For Highlights For Shadows
After that, I click Ctrl+I to invert the Layers and start drawing on the mask layer.
Before and After
The pic is in an area with lots of colored lights, it would naturally reflect on the Sims, so I put some pinkish and blueish colors on highlights like this:
Now to the effects to make it look more fun!
3 of the Sims are using water guns and they splash with it ofc! So I added some water splashes with a brush and put a slight motion blur on it.
and since it's a lot of people, water splashes everywhere. Because of that, in some areas I added some water splashing effects (Photoshop Brush) that are making it look like there is movement.

looks way more alive now right?
It still felt a bit "empty" though, so I decided to put a picture of a moon in the sky and added some bubbles (Photoshop Brush) around.

fun fun
Now I put a light leak overlay I found on the internet over the pic.
I put the Fill of that Layer on really low though, so it has a “soft“ effect.
At the end, I made a chromatic aberration (color distortion)
For that I make a Layer copy of the pic and double click the new copy layer and a menu should open.
Under channels uncheck G and B. After that close the window and just resize the Layer a bit.

And that's it! Hope it was helpful somehow:)

When I was 14 (or 15?) I was thrown into a school-wide film competition. The production went fucking awful. I had never wrangled so many people together before. Since we were all freshman, we were a rowdy bunch, and most of what I recorded made little sense and was impossible to work with.
So when I sat down to edit (at my church’s computer, because I had no machine to edit with at home), I decided to turn the whole thing into a youtube poop. Funny cuts, random xD jokes, and goofy editing. I had very rudimentary knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7 and photoshop so that made things exponentially harder. I did the best I could in a trial by fire.
I keep thinking about the day I was waiting for my parents to pick me up to take me home after working on it. I thought I was going to die. The footage sucked. The editing was embarrassing. It was an extremely low point in my life. The entire school was going to see this. There were tears.
The day of the premiere, I was prepared for the worst. Why did I do this? Why did I think I could compete against the school? There were seniors who had help from their teachers. I was all alone.
But when my film played, I was no longer alone. It was a hit. Every joke landed, every goof made the student body roar with laughter, and my classmates kept looking at me as if I was a hero. Seniors asked me what software I used to make the video. The “random xD” humor was perfect. It ended up possibly being one of the happiest days of my life.
I had a recording on my iPod touch of everyone’s reactions. I watched it on repeat for a long, long time. It was the first time I was recognized for an achievement with film. I always made videos before, but never had this kind of audience, and certainly not this nice of a reception.
I didn’t win the competition, but second place isn’t bad for a freshman. Everyone laughed the hardest at mine and talked about mine the most.
The iPod recording of the student reactions is long gone now, and I would give anything to see it again. I guess I have to go forward and make new memories.

➳ lucifer wears makeup. after someone (mammon, most likely) not-so-kindly pointed out the bags and dark circles under his eyes, lucifer went to asmo for help and learned the basics of concealing, which eventually grew into a whole bag of products he applies most mornings, unbeknownst to everyone but asmo. he does a light coverage foundation, concealer, pencils in and shapes his eyebrows, some light contour on his nose and jawline, and some hardly-noticeable eyeliner. his whole goal is for it to look as natural as possible and he’s gotten really, really skilled over the years.
➳ mammon not only knows how to sew, but makes many of his own clothes himself. nothing on the market was eclectic or unique enough for him so he took matters into his own hands and not has a closet full of custom-made and designed pieces. he doesn’t tend to show off his talent (for once) preferring to let others think they’re obscure designer clothes or made by difficult-to-book designers. every once in a while he can be convinced to make his brothers something, but not unless they agree to an exorbitant price.
➳ levi is an adobe girly. not only does he use almost all of their services, but he’s really really good at them too. mammon and asmo will have him photoshop pictures for him, lucifer will go to him for help with document creation, and even belphie had him teach him the basics of premiere pro. the reason he has such high-powered computers and machinery isn’t for gaming, as most assume, but so they can handle adobe optimally without lagging or overloading. additionally, upon hearing adobe flash was being retired, levi scalped the mechanics of it and created a knockoff that functions just as well, something he shares liberally at rad.
➳ satan has a prodigal-like talent for instruments, able to pick them up and teach himself how to play decently in very little time. he also has perfect pitch, can sightread excellently, and composes music in his free time. his favorite instruments to play are the violin, the piano, and the harp. though his not in any music-based classes (as those are all too basic for him of course) he offers help to students in the classes that are struggling with theory, composition, or playing. he’s also the reason the music wing is rumored to be haunted, as he often plays at weird hours.
➳ asmo is the most independently wealthy of all of his brothers, thanks to all of his economic ventures. not only does he model and act, but he also has shares in many major companies in all three realms that show large profits even if they aren’t super successful when he first invests. he works with barbatos to manage his money and has several bank accounts, and though he lives lavishly, is careful not to show the extent of his wealth, leading people to believe it’s family money he’s spending. although this was done, in part, intuitively, he’s also taken several finance and business classes over the years to help him learn and improve.
➳ beel really really enjoys all of the booktok books, and even discusses them at length with solomon and thirteen, when the two can be civil enough to speak to one another. his favorite genres is dark fantasy and belphie makes fun of beel to no end when he catches him reading. beel keeps his kindle on him at all times, and for his personal favorites, buys a hard copy and annotates it with sticky notes–the whole nine yards. for his birthday, satan gives him a book cover so that he doesn’t keep walking around with those embarrassing overs on display. beel doesn’t use it.
➳ belphie is notorious for stealing his brothers’ clothing. for some reason, he finds them more comfortable than his own and every few weeks the others force him to empty out his drawers and give them everything back. his personal favorites to steal are beel’s shirts and asmo’s sweats, but he’s not picky. he wears them to sleep, around the house, while running errands, and would wear them to rad were there not a uniform. at the beginning, it was out of laziness; him grabbing whatever was close. but over time he developed favorites, and, well, there was no going back from that.

⚠️Content Warning: Some fanart may be a bit suggestive than others⚠️
Hello, Good Omens fandom! This is my first personal contribution to the community :3 It's way simpler that my usual work due to how lengthy the edit is. At first, I was like "Go, girl! Give us nothing." but that would mean me being too harsh on myself… So I kept it mainly grayscaled with little to no theme for the reason that I can get it done quick and not procrastinate lol.
I simply made this as a self-indulgent way to refresh my mind. I could yap about them for hours here but I feel like it would make the description too long.

Deep dived my phone gallery a little too hard and found a sleep aid video I made with 47 ages ago. Gosh, it's so bad since I made it and rendered it in Photoshop 😭
(I have a newer version in Premiere Pro (thank the stars for student access) I might post sometime if I ever finish it...)

Vaggie the Undying
I really wanted to do this crossover because Vaggie is one of the many characters that reminds me of Undyne from Undertale. Vaggie only has one eye, holds a spear, and identifies as lesbian.
I am not open for animation commissions yet, but I can give you a still picture of your OCs or parody ideas!
Vaggie is owned by Vivienne Medrano and Amazon Prime
Undyne is owned by Toby Fox

Making showreel
10/06/2025
Hi everyone! Today I will be working on the show reel that our lecturer assigned us to do.
For this showreel, our lecturer Dinendri recommended that we included our best work. So, I decided to add my 2D animation 'A tribute to Ayane Nakamura' and the 3D animation 'The Hunt'.
Before making my showreel, I watched through a demo showreel made my one of my favorite animators on YouTube. In this video 'Dong Chang' expresses how his demo reel landed him a job in the animation industry and explains how animators need to create a demo reel. (His demo reel is shown in the outro of the video)
youtube
I also watched through a few animation showreels uploaded on 'Vimeo' for inspiration.
Video Editing in Premiere Pro :-
I decided to follow a similar style of editing done by Dong Chang for his first showreel. His video contained video blurs and black fade in's and outs.
I had to play around with the video opacity for the black fade ins and outs. For the video blur effect, I followed the tutorial linked down below.
youtube
Sound design:-
I used 'pixabay' to find an emotional and empowering soundtrack that fit both the animations I included in the showreel.
Text templates for the Showreel :-
I used the 'Futura' font in Canva and adjusted the spacing of the letters accordingly. I used photoshop to remove the unwanted background so only the letters will be displayed on screen.
My first demo Animation Showreel :-

how did you make your latest wonwoo set, it’s sooo pretty. I want to learn how to make stuff like that but I don’t know how
thank youuuu 🤍🤍🤍 hmm are you interested in anything particular? it’s just a whole mix of many different things! I think for me, the main 'ingredients' for an edit are texture overlays (I recommend e.g. texturelabs or texturefabrik), and knowing how to use blending modes and layer masks in photoshop but also key framing for video editing in ps/after effects/premier pro. I did purchase many different presets, textures and plugins in the past that I keep using though, also for after effects that I’ve been using for edits for maybe two years as well now! that programme is still insanely overwhelming and it took me a long time to actually wrap my head around only a fraction of what you can do in it. I made the two smaller panels in the wonwoo edit in ae, but other ae-heavy projects of mine are e.g. this one and this one. it’s just very good for anything regarding motion graphics and more intricate moving elements or transitions. BUT key framing is also possible in photoshop to some extend so check that out first if you’re interested in that! I’m sure there‘re great tutorials around. it’s all about exploring, following tutorials and just clicking around for hours on end ajshdha, at least that‘s how it was for me!! and don’t forget to have fun 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

In recent years, ultrawide monitors have surged in popularity, becoming the display of choice for gamers, creatives, and professionals alike. With screen aspect ratios typically ranging from 21:9 to 32:9, these monitors provide a panoramic viewing experience that simply can’t be matched by standard 16:9 displays. Whether you're working with complex timelines in video editing software or navigating immersive game environments, ultrawide monitors offer a more expansive, efficient, and engaging experience.
What Makes Ultrawide Monitors Unique? Unlike traditional dual-monitor setups, ultrawide displays offer a seamless, bezel-free workspace. This eliminates the visual interruption of monitor borders and makes multitasking much more intuitive. For example, you can keep multiple applications open side-by-side without ever having to alt-tab or switch between virtual desktops.
Key benefits include:
More screen real estate: Perfect for productivity tasks like coding, trading, video editing, and spreadsheet management.
Enhanced immersion: Gamers enjoy a broader field of view in supported titles, making the experience more cinematic.
Simplified desk setup: One cable, one stand, and no alignment issues compared to dual monitors.
Ideal Use Cases for Ultrawide Monitors
Creative Work Designers, video editors, and music producers benefit from wide timelines and extended tool palettes. With an ultrawide, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or FL Studio becomes more manageable and less cluttered.
Business & Productivity Professionals juggling multiple windows—like documents, emails, and browser tabs—can arrange everything on one screen, boosting productivity and reducing eye strain from constant switching.
Gaming Modern games like Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Flight Simulator look incredible on an ultrawide. The extended horizontal view enhances immersion, especially in first-person and racing games.
Programming & IT Developers can place code, documentation, and debugging tools side-by-side without sacrificing visibility or readability.
Things to Consider Before Buying Resolution: Most ultrawide monitors are 3440x1440 (WQHD) or higher. Choose based on your graphics card’s capabilities and your needs.
Size: Screen sizes usually range from 29 to 49 inches. A curved design is common and helps with viewing angles on wider panels.
Software support: Some games and apps may not natively support ultrawide resolutions. Check compatibility if that's critical to you.
Price: Ultrawides tend to be more expensive, but the productivity and experience gains often justify the investment.
Conclusion Ultrawide monitors aren’t just a luxury—they’re a powerful tool for anyone who demands more from their screen. Whether you’re editing a film, writing code, or just want a more immersive gaming session, upgrading to an ultrawide could be the best screen decision you’ve ever made.

It's absolutely not the time for Halloween, but here's a little loop animation i made on that theme for school ! The family ghosts are celebrating 👻🥂💙
(Software used : Maya (+Vray), Substance Painter, Photoshop, Nuke for the compositing and Premiere Pro for the sound+video editing ! Lots of firsts to discover over the months, as i never did 3d before, but overall it was a cool experience)
