⚡ EAS80 AC Isolator Switch as a Changeover Switch: Two State Logic Differences
1️⃣ The EAS80 AC isolator switch operates with two state logics when used as a changeover switch:
2️⃣ Standard Type (I-0-II): The middle "O" position features normally open (NO) contacts, disconnecting both Circuits I and II for complete isolation.
3️⃣ Special Type (I-I+II-II): The middle position uses normally closed (NC) contacts to maintain main circuit continuity. When rotated to "I" or "II", it engages the corresponding contacts while cutting off other circuits. In the "I+II" position, it activates both circuits simultaneously.
➡️ Structural Comparison:
1️⃣ Three-position (I-0-II): Ensures safe isolation via a dedicated middle "O" position and mechanical interlock for single-circuit operation.
2️⃣ Two-position (I-I+II-II): Lacks an independent isolation position, ideal for seamless main/backup power switching in critical scenarios.
Both types comply with electrical isolation standards but prioritize different functions.
