ANDI is like the sweetest ai protagonist ever, and his whole thing is that he cares about people in a way that transcends programing. Which makes me fucking cheer and scream and yell and clap when he gets legitimately defensive and hostile with someone. When he snaps it feels so earned, and everyone forgets he has teeth.

I gotta say, I think Marsfall is the first podcast to genuinely make me cry on both the first and second listen. And in four episodes no less! Genuinely one of my favorite podcasts out there. I'm so excited for the second part of season 3

I haven’t listened to TMA (way too big, I’m too intimidated) and only a little nightvale, BUT some of my favorites (in absolutely no order bc I can’t brain enough to do that rn) are: Hello From the Hallowoods, Tides, Second Star to the Left, Wooden Overcoats, The Last Show, Para.docx, The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality

Things I didn’t like: Old Gods of Appalachia (really wanted to like, but it was way too graphic), Hello From the Magic Tavern, Girl In Space (the isolation creeped me out), Marsfall (too depressing, not enough hope)

SCP find us alive - I believe you could really like this one, it's a very lovely listen weirdly hopeful and sometimes surprisingly funny

The Antique Shop - I deeply enjoyed this one and think you may as well

Midnight Burger - the length of the episodes may be a tad intimating but you definitely should try this one

If you liked Wooden Overcoats I got a feeling you'll enjoy The Vanishing Act just as much !!

Bonus Poll: AIs from Mod's List

I created a list of podcast AIs to add into the bracket if we didn't get enough submissions. We did get enough submissions for a full bracket, and some from my list were submitted by other people, but here are some that didn't make it!

The only propaganda you get from me is that I commissioned the Wolf 359 writers to write a (noncanon) scene between Enlil and Hera.

The problem with the 2005 DOOM movie (besides the fact that it is just a generally mediocre whatever action movie starring The Rock) is that they based it on DOOM 3 from 2004, now considered the worst DOOM game.

I like that game, mostly for nostalgic reasons. But it is totally a weak-ass survival-horror game, which is not remotely what DOOM has ever been or ever should be.

Like if they called it Marsfall or Bloodsand or DemonStorm or some other early 2000s video game thing , it would be fondly remembered as an okay horror shooter from 2004. But as a DOOM game, it isn't a DOOM game.

And they based the movie on that, so it didn't have a chance.

...It's not a BAD movie. It's a PG action movie starring a wrestler, that has a pointless FPS sequence that is technically impressive, and nothing else. And it has next to nothing to do with DOOM. It is okay for a movie that had no chance whatsoever to be anything.

A movie that was doomed from the start, if you will.

(Karl Urban is in this! Rosamund Pike! The Rock is the size of a normal man! No one wears the DOOMguy armor.

This movie is 20 years old.)
