Hello, Gallavich fandom!

I'm organizing the calendar of events for next year and I'd like to get some input from you all before finalizing it. Please check my questions at the end.

Here's a rough draft:

January - Guessing for the Masquerade taking place up to the 31st

Mid-February - Appreciation week / Lovefest (The idea is having an event to talk about everyone's favorite Gallavich related things, including fandom stuff. From favorite episode to favorite fanart, for example. So kind of a mix between the appreciation week and the Lovefest, two events we've had in the past.)

Late February - Sign-ups for the gift exchange start

Early March - Sign-ups close and prompts are chosen

Late April - gift exchange postings

Mid-May - Gallavich Week themes revealed

Mid-June - Gallavich week

July - Summer Camp event is coming back! (Not hosted by this blog though, just adding it to the calendar to avoid overlapping the events)

August - A.U.gust

September - Reverse Big Bang posting (again, not hosted here)

October - Kinktober

November (mid to last week) - Masquerade opens

End of December - Masquerade posting

Now, here are my questions:

1) I've seen some people posting secret Santa gifts recently. I moved the gift exchange in favor of the Masquerade and also so it wouldn't be yet another gift exchange for those of us who participate on several fandoms. So the gift exchange is (was?) scheduled for next year. But now I'm wondering if you even want another one? I don't know if the one that just happened was open to anyone in the fandom or if it was a closed community, I literally just found out about it when people started posting, but if it was for everyone, are there enough people who didn't participate or that would like to do another one so soon? Would you prefer to maybe cancel it or postpone it? Or have another event instead?

2) On a similar note, I know everyone's always excited about A.U.gust and Kinktober, but those events can also be moved around a bit if it would help. Would you prefer to have the Kinktober in March instead, for instance? (with another name, or course lol). Basically, the AUs event and the smut event can be moved to different dates, it's what I'm saying. I think it would be nice not only to have some variety, but also so that they're not alongside similar events for other fandoms (the Kinktober especially, not to mention there's also Inktober for fanartists and other stuff). Plus, it gives us more varied content throughout the year. We only have to be careful not to overlap with the events being done by other blogs.

3) Are there any other events you'd like to see that I haven't mentioned? Or any events you're tired of that you think could be swapped or maybe shortened? Feel free to send me suggestions. I promise to take everything into consideration.

Steddie Song Fics 2025 Schedule

Welcome to a new year of song fic challenges! We will still be doing monthly challenges, but instead of releasing them on the first day of every month, I wanted to give you the entire schedule up front in case you want to plan ahead. Some additional fun challenges may pop-up throughout the year, so keep an eye out!

JANUARY - This month will focus on any song that has new in the title or the song itself. Maybe it's about new love, maybe a new start in life, or maybe about feeling brand new. There is no word count limit for this month.

FEBRUARY - This month is all about love. Whether they are in love already, falling in love or out of it, or aren't sure if they know how to feel it at all, pick any song that talks about love. There is no word count limit for this month.

MARCH - This month is a free space. You can use any song you want! The catch is that the word count must be between 500-2000 words.

APRIL - This month's challenge is to pick a song by your favorite boyband or girlband. Think old school (Beach Boys or The Beatles) or newer school (One Direction or Little Mix). There is no word count limit for this month.

MAY - This month is an open space, BUT there are two rules: The fic must be an AU of some kind AND the word count must be between 500-5000 words.

JUNE - This month is all about summer: songs that remind you of the beach, vacation, being out of school, etc. The word count must be between 300-2500 words.

JULY - This month will focus on songs written AND sung by women. There will be no word count limit.

AUGUST - This month will be songs from the 80s in any genre. There will be no word count limit.

SEPTEMBER - This month will be songs from 90s in any genre. There will be no word count limit.

OCTOBER - This month will focus on haunting songs. You can take that literally (Halloween hits like Monster Mash) or go with something more subtle (songs with 'ghost' in them). The word count should be between 500-2500.

NOVEMBER - This month will be songs from 2010-present. There will be no word count limit.

DECEMBER - This month is for holiday songs, classic or new. The word count should be between 500-5000.

Ginger Quatuor - Banshees Barbara, Carol, Chrissy and Vickie - 28.04.2025

My inspiration for this was mainly a mix between Supernatural and Teen Wolf and other elements.

I wanted the girls to scream out of anguish, being Banshees and knowing when Death is coming.

They are influenced even more by the Blood Moon that is a sign of a massacre happening in this situation. I wanted them to look a bit eerie in the moonlight, wandering in forests, in white dresses, their screams being heard for miles upon miles being a bad omen. Their eyes and hands dripping with blood because they are announcing Death, so their hands are literally covered in blood :3

Done using watercolors, ink pens, alcohol markers, a metallic ink pen, metallic watercolors, an acrylic paint pen and Photoshop for the background trees, the lace, the light and glow effect, the fog and for Barbara's, Carol's and Vickie's freckles and the scream

What a year we've all had! For the first time ever I can post a fully digital, fully completed yearly art round up post. It's been so awesome to see my style change and develop around my interests this year. All of the pieces (and some commentary from me!) will be posted in full under the cut :)

January, Shampoo from Ranma 1/2 (Citrus Shampoo) The doodle that started it all! I was really busy with school starting back up so it's not the most polished piece in the world, but I really love the colors I used and I'm thinking about revisiting this piece in the new year.

February, Krystal from Star Fox (I can just draw anything isn't that amazing) Although this is only a doodle February is the shortest month so...

March, Faye and Falco from Star Fox, Miffy from Miffy (What are they looking at?) I was making a lot of 3D Miffy models and such for one of my classes this month, and I was still super into Star Fox, so I decided to just mix the two together! I really like doing art that puts random characters together like this in my sketchbook, maybe I'll do more crossover pieces next year :)

April, Falco, Peppy, Slippy, Fox, and Krystal's Arm (N64 collab over on Newgrounds) This was my first ever collab, and I'm really glad I pushed myself to join! This is a redraw of one of the covers for Earth Defense Girl Iko Chan, I reference a lot of Iko Chan pictures and media when I'm drawing lol.

May, Sonic the Hedgehog with the Beam Kirby Powerup (submission to the Sonic anniversary collab on Newgrounds) This was another collab, and I wish I had been able to put more detail into the background for the final piece, but the collab only required a clear background png of your assigned character so I really focused in on Sonic.

June, The prince and The King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy (LEAKED 2009 DS EXCLUSIVE DATAMINE aka Hold Out Your Hand Son) The beginning of an era. This 20 minute doodle gifted me a ton of creative ideas and passions this year! The Katamari I drew here and the background (a cropped free Katamari wallpaper) are used in almost every single Katamari piece I made this year as a way to tie them all together (and a way to save time!)

July, The Prince from Katamari Damacy [And technically The King but I did not draw him this time lol] (Katamari Kart!) My sister is a competitive Mario Kart player, and while watching her I thought the Prince would be a cool addition to the roster. This was made before I played the We Love Katamari level where The Prince has his little ducky car or else I would have incorporated it here!

⭐August, The Prince and The King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy (Katamari Creation) Side note this is my best performing piece, and I'm so glad I decided to make it!!! It is a redraw of a guy pretending to be a wizard by floating an apple between his hands. I was originally going to draw the prince hiding between the apple slices when you find him in We Love Katamari, but decided that the hands were impressive enough that I could reuse my own Katamari lol.

September, The Queen of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy (Selfie trend) There was a trend on twitter where a cosplayer put her phone over her face to show the character, and I thought that was so cute I just had to do it with The Queen. I made this to be my pfp on here, but just wasn't quite satisfied with it (it was literally my first digital drawing of the Queen ever lol) SO-

October, The Prince, The Queen, and The King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy (He likes to feel tall) This is my actual current profile picture! It was originally made for both here and discord, but discord's circular crop completely removes the King from the picture whoops. I'm really proud of the King's hand and the subtle glow around The Prince to draw the viewer's eye to him, took a lot of trial and error to get both of them just right lol.

November, Ulala from Space Channel 5 (She's Stardust Chic,,,) November I actually had 2 pieces made, but this is the one I intended to be my big monthly piece. I got back into Space Chanel 5 something fierce over the course of the month, and I made so many of my friends play it with me lol.

December, The Queen and The King of All Cosmos (and the Prince really tiny!) from Katamari Damacy (Katamari Christmas) And now we're done! My most recent piece, inspired by family photos turned into Christmas Cards. I also really liked drawing the King and the Queen being cozy. The King's longer hair and more scruffy beard was really fun to play around with too. That's all from me this year! I grew a lot as an artist, but also a friend, mentor, student, and researcher too! I achieved a ton this year, and I can't wait to hit the ground running next year Now it is time for my once yearly "I'm putting one million tags to boost my views and engagement" giant tags section lol

A married Nassau County health care executive allegedly preyed on nearly a dozen teen girls to produce child porn over a four-year period — including two minors he ordered to call him “Daddy” and paid in exchange for the sickening content.

Jacob Walden, 38, was arraigned Wednesday morning in Central Islip Federal Court on a six-count indictment charging him with the sexual exploitation of two teens — ages 16 and 17 — whom he pressured to create sexually explicit videos and photos, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Feds recovered the disturbing images from Walden’s cellphone last April and identified at least 11 girls, as young as 14 years old, whom he contacted, coerced to send inappropriate content and paid, according to court documents.

The 16- and 17-year-old victims were located and interviewed during an investigation that feds launched in September 2023.

“As alleged, the defendant enticed minors to produce sexually explicit photographs and videos of themselves and send them to him via the internet in exchange for payment,” United States Attorney John J. Durham said in a statement.

“Protecting children from predators who sexually exploit them will always be a priority of my Office.”

Investigators further found Walden, a father of five, repeatedly purchased at least 500 images and 5,000 videos depicting rape, bestiality and the abuse of toddler-age children from a large-scale production and distribution ring that advertised to adult male buyers in the US and abroad, according to court docs.

Law enforcement also recovered an encrypted conversation on Walden’s phone arranging the purchase of two child porn packages — one of which was advertised to include “4-19, FAMILY, SOLO, RAPE, MIXED” content, the documents state.

Prosecutors said at least 20,500 files of child porn were found in Walden’s cloud storage, court docs revealed.

Walden, the co-owner and managing partner of Emerald Healthcare, a company that manages nursing and assisted living facilities nationwide, remained in contact with his child victims between 2020 and 2024.

In his conversations with the two teens referenced in the indictment — referred to as Jane Doe # 1 and Jane Doe # 2 — Walden reportedly insisted he be addressed as “Daddy” and provided directions on the sexual acts he wanted the victims to perform.

He then paid them electronically after he received the alarming content, according to court documents.

Walden was arrested on July 31, 2024, and was ordered to home confinement at his $2 million Valley Stream residence, with restrictions placed on his electronic devices and his contact with minors.

The accused sicko violated his conditions within a month of his arrest after investigators discovered he made an unauthorized stop at a Verizon store and offered a woman money for sex on WhatsApp, prosecutors said.

Walden is being held without bail until his trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, according to law enforcement sources, after prosecutors argued he is a flight risk and a danger to society.

He joins high-profile perps Sean “Diddy” Combs and Luigi Mangione, who are also imprisoned at the Brooklyn facility.

“For years the defendant has enticed individuals, typically minor females in exchange for payment to produce child pornography for him,” US Trial Attorney Leonid Sandlar said.

“The totality of the defendant’s voluminous submissions does not rebut the defendant’s motivation of flight. Or dangerousness.”

Meet me in the Hallway

His debut's opening track - first taste the world had of solo Harry Styles. MMIH drew a line under 1D, telling the listener to not expect a teen popstar. It's slow and is still one of his more vulnerable songs.

Inspiration

You can hear the influence of Pink Floyd's Breathe in MMIH. Harry has long listed Pink Floyd as an influence, and he has a tattoo for the Dark side of the Moon Album cover, of which Breathe is the opening track. On 29 September 2016, while finalising his first album, Harry gave a 10 song mix tape to Another Man, Breathe was the first song.

It likens love to addiction, and includes not communicating with his partner, similar to Fine Line and Clean. It also has similarities to Only Angel. It was later referenced by both Harry and Taylor's songs about each other.

When was it written

MMIH, Kiwi and Sweet Creature were the first songs written for the album, in LA between February and May 2016. MMIH and Kiwi are in this photo of the album taking shape from before Harry cut his hair for Dunkirk.

Harry hasn't played it live since July 2018, it has emotional range:

Taylor was in London, in Hampstead Health start of 2018. Harry writes Fine Line (Jan 2018) & Taylor - Cruel Summer (mid-2018).

9 March - Joe and Taylor look miserable in the US Joe hikes in dark jeans and nikes, and again in London April 8.

11 March - Harry's tour starts again and MMIH was particularly hard to perform. In Copenhagen 19 March 2018, he turned away and left:

23-30 June - Taylor 1 week break in the US, now both in the US.

1 July - He smirks in the same song and sings "Running with you" rather than thieves:

The next week, Taylor and Joe were uncharacteristically papped in Turks and Caicos. That night, Harry talked to a fan who fell in love to MMIH. He then broke up with Camille shortly after and wrote Cherry and Falling.

In Only Angel Harry sings about breaking a knuckle on her bedroom door, driven by hunger, here he is overwhelmed with sadness mixed with desire.

Hallways are mentioned in many Haylor songs

Harry and Taylor have stayed in the same hotel many times, when they dated they did in NY and have both attended many international awards, like the 2013 NRG awards in Cannes.

Harry likens his attraction to his muse as a heroin addition. Taylor later sang in Death by a thousand cuts Taylor refers to this "Gave up on me like I was a bad drug".

Taylor had previously likened getting over Harry to recovering from a drug addiction in the closing track of 1989, Clean. "Ten months sober, I must admit / Just because you're clean, don't mean you don't miss it / Ten months older, I won't give in / Now that I'm clean, I'm never gonna risk it"

"Maybe we'll work it out" is almost a precursor to the chorus and end of Fine Line's uncertain "We'll be alright"

He's aware the person does not feel the same about him but is hoping that will change. Also similar to Fine Line, here is willing to be on the floor for her, whereas in the later Fine Line with great vulnerability he sings "I don't want to fight you / And I don't want to sleep in the dirt"

Harry is lost and searching for a way to take his mind off his muse or find answers.

Taylor refers to this line in "Ready for it..?" "Knew I was a robber first time that he saw me / Stealing hearts and running off and never saying sorry"

In Saint Paul he changed this line to running with you and did the pointing up motion he has in medicine.

He sang this verse at the start of the tour 2017 - but not in 2018.

After pleading his love to take the pain away and be with him.

SHABBY ROAD - 2000

"and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make." - The Critters

The Critters last-recorded album was a triumph. Coming after the difficult Let It End sessions, the group pulled together for Shabby Road, a final collection of songs that rank among their best.

It is commonly thought that The Critters knew that Shabby Road would be their final album, and wanted to present a fitting farewell to the world. However, the group members denied that they intended to split after its completion, despite a realization that their time together was drawing to a close.

It was mostly recorded in April, July, and August 2000, and topped the record charts in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Critland. A double A-side single from the album, "Something" / "Come Together", was released in October, which also topped the charts across the globe.

Shabby Road was completed on August 25th, 2000 almost a month before Bryan "Bubba" Bubbaphant told the other Critters that he wished to leave the group. His decision was made on September 12th, just before the Plastic Yolo Band performed at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival festival, and he told the rest of the group at a meeting a week later.

Background

After the recording sessions for the proposed Get Back album, Kickin McChicken suggested to producer Yuki Galactic that the group get together and make an album "the way we used to do it", free of the conflict that had begun during sessions for The Critters (also known as the "Shite Album"). Galactic agreed, but on the strict condition that all the group—particularly Bryan Bubbaphant—allow him to produce the record in the same manner as earlier albums and that discipline would be adhered to. No one was sure that the work would be the group's last, though Crafty O'Corn later recalled that "it felt as if we were reaching the end of the line

In The Studio

Although The Critters business problems needed attention daily, and tempers within the group could be fractious, when they came together in the studio the bond between them was as strong as ever. A year after Shabby Road’s release, at a time when the former Critters were bitterly divided, Bubba Bubbaphant acknowledged how they understood one another as musicians.

In spite of all the things… the Critters really could play music together when they weren’t uptight. And if I get a thing going, Catnap knows where to go. Like that. We’ve played together so long that it fits. That’s the only thing I sometimes miss is, is being able to just sort of blink or make a certain noise and I know they’ll all know where we’re going on an ad lib thing. - Bryan Bubbaphant, 2001

The album was recorded in a more collegial atmosphere than the Get Back / Let It End sessions earlier in the year, but there were still significant confrontations within the band, particularly over Kickin McChicken's song "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", and Bryan Bubbaphant did not perform on several tracks. By the time the album was released, Bubbaphant had left the group, though this was not publicly announced until McChicken also quit the following month.

Legacy

Although Shabby Road was an instant commercial success, it received mixed reviews upon release. Some critics found its music inauthentic and criticised the production's artificial effects. By contrast, critics today view the album as one of the Critters' best and one of the greatest albums of all time. Crafty O'Corn's two songs on the album, "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun", are considered among the best she wrote for the group. The album's cover, featuring the Critters walking across the zebra crossing outside of Shabby Road Studios (then officially named CMI Studios), is one of the most famous and imitated of all time.

One thing that a lot of people have been arguing with or spreading misinformation is the timeline of Total Drama. So yeah, I'll analyze the timeline of the main series + Ridonculous Race. I will also explain the ages through the timeline set.

For Island, everything we needed to know is given in episode 1. The first 26 episodes take place in 8 weeks (aka 2 months) and ep27 takes place the day after episode 26. In episode 27, Chris states that Action takes place 2 days after ep27.

Therefore, between ep27 and ep28 (1 of Action), there is a gap of 2 days. In episode 28, Chris states that the contestants will stay for a good 6 weeks. Hence, Island and Action combined together take place in an entire Summer and half September.

World Tour is certainly tricky, but first, we must find the gap between ep27 of Action and ep1 of WT. In episode 27, there's several stuff that revealed the season takes place after the New Year's. Specifically:

- Lindsay and Beth were said to have been imprisoned for months.

- Izzy's director was counseled for months.

- The Drama Brother's best single from LAST YEAR was mentioned.

Therefore, it makes sense to say that between mid-September and early January there was a gap. So yeah, WT starts in early January. But when does it end? It's simple! Cody's birthday is April 1st, since it is celebrated in episode 23 of WT, and eps 24 - 26 take place the day after, it's obvious that World Tour ends on April 2nd. On April 2nd, Geoff also said that he didn't see Bridgette since February 18 (he had said 44 days). So episodes 18 to 26 take place in a month. TL;DR World Tour starts around January and ends April 2nd.

Revenge of the Island is even more confusing. It's not outright said that it's been a year since WT's finale, only implied. So yeah, a year has passed and it ends in an unknown date or month.

All-Stars is said to take place a year after ROTI's finale, since Chris wasn't visited by Chef in prison for a year. It again, ends in an unknown date or month. However, since both take place in summer, we may say that ROTI takes place in the first half of the Summer (June with mid-July) whereas AS starts mid-Summer and ends early late August/September? It honestly makes sense.

Pahkitew Island becomes, again, hard to say. But I have figured that I can only explain it using RR, so they'll be mixed here. Since all contestants are 16, and Leonard's age is given in Ridiculous Race as 16, we can say that he is 16 in this series as well and presumably starts before, after or is a parallel story to Ridonculous Race. It additionally makes sense that the series also takes place 3 years after Island, which sounds crazy, but makes sense: Owen, Noah and Geoff are 19 in RR while Leonard is 16.

Oh well and what's left is TDI23, which we obviously know it starts 15 years after TDI07.

Kanato/Rosey timeline

May 2023

Rosey arrives at the sakamaki manor and meets the boys. She does not understand her purpose at the manor but remains polite.

Rosey meets Kanato. She had an initial attraction to him. Kanato does not, seeing her as another bother

June 2023

Rosey is highly uncomfortable and high strung. Rosey first tried to get to know the boys over the course of the month, but is kicked when she is down. Kanato enjoys toying with her. Rosey is confused by him.

July 2023

Kanato and Rosey have a “relationship” with each other that is highly toxic. Kanato has threatened to kill Rosey multiple times. Rosey ceases speaking to the other boys during this month in effort to please Kanato.

August 2023

Rosey resumes speaking to the other brothers out of necessity. Rosey develops a wobbly “friendship” with Subaru. Kanato does not take it well. Rosey learns to placate Kanato by behaving extra cute and less of herself.

September 2023

It’s Rosey’s birth month! Determined to stay in a good mood, she plays her role to Kanato and spend the rest of the time alone or with Subaru. Kanato does his first polite act towards Rosey by sharing cake with her. This makes Rosey, reluctantly, fall harder for him.

October 2023

Rosey becomes comfortable enough to behave as herself around the house, except around Kanato. The brothers take notice, but ultimately do nothing with it. Kanato starts to notice the act and becomes irritated.

November 2023

Kanato encounters Rosey about her behavior. Rosey attempts to explain herself, but Kanato is too irritated to really listen. In a fit of anger, Rosey explodes at Kanato. Surprisingly, she survives this encounter. Kanato and Rosey comes to blows about their feelings towards each other. Both admit to liking each other.

December 2023

Rosey and Kanato do not speak for half a month. In the other half, both had given the other a gift, and do partially reconcile. One again on speaking terms, Kanato attempts to have a relationship with Rosey, but it’s going slowly.

January 2024

Rosey can comfortably talk to most of the members of the house. Kanato and Rosey are developing a romantic relationship, but due to Kanato’s behavior the relationship is still toxic but less violative of Rosey’s comfort.

February 2024

The relationship between Rosey and the Kanato settles. The behavior remains the same. Rosey notes her cycle is late. Fearful of Kanato’s reaction, Rosey hides her diary with the information.

March 2024

Kanato is unaware of the problem in process. Rosey starts to recede into her old act and into herself, notable level of stress increase. This confuses Kanato.

April 2024

Kanato finds Rosey’s diary. With some anger and clarity, Kanato decides to be…”better”. This in turn confuses Rosey. Neither is aware the other knows of the elephant in the room.

May 2024

Rosey has been with the sakamakis for a year, and she feels as close as she can be to the type of people they are. Rosey admits to Kanato she is with child. Out of character, Kanato experiences joy. Perhaps this meant he was meant to be the demon king? The thought weighed heavily on him.

June 2024

Kanato has what to Rosey is a personality flip. He’s kind, polite, and she finds comfort in the times he behaves like his old self. Kanato opens up about his past, and Rosey and Kanato sing together. They also reveal to the brothers that Rosey is with child. There are mixed reactions.

July 2024-September 2024

Rosey and Kanato prepare for the baby.including moving into the demon realm where Kanato starts to formally train for his role as king.

October 2024

Kanato and Rosey welcome a beautiful baby girl. Kanato puts aside his ego to suggest couples therapy. Rosey accepts.

November 2024

Kanato ascends to the throne with Rosey and his daughter by his side. The two share a gradually healthier relationship.

December 2024

Rosey can Kanato start to plan a wedding due in 2026. The two share a romantic relationship that is heading in the right distraction and head to their forever ever after. They have Christmas at the sakamaki manor.
