I don't think jod is going to hurt the kids or their parents. I think he might try to pretend he's a Jedi again to get the adults to cooperate. They don't know that the Jedi and the old republic fell so they might buy it. I do however think it'll all fall apart when he tries to meet the supervisor so he can land the pirate ship.
I'm still holding out that the supervisor is droid / computer of sort and it can either go two ways. He tries to take over At attin by controlling the supervisor (so he becomes the main bad guy) or there he accidently activates like a contingency plan which will have a terrible outcome for the people who live on At Attin. We still don't know what the great work is, and why their society seems oddly authoritative. But if At Achrann is to go buy it probably isn't good.

listen. people have always debated which character is the most normal guy but what if it has in fact been crowley the whole time. no string pulling no master plan just a guy who wants to keep his school running and is cursed with problematic students and incidents
honestly I think the funniest possible reveal would be one of two options:
ONE: Crowley has no plot relevance whatsoever. he wears the mask to cover his receding hairline. his darkest secret is the bottle of "medicinal" whiskey under his desk. this man can barely plan a PTA function with six months' advance notice, he doesn't have the time or patience for any kind of overarching master plot involving mutating students or whatever. the only thing wrong with him is that he's been running this school for (mumblemumble) years and, quite frankly, if you'd been putting up with NRC students for a couple of centuries, you'd have totally checked out by this point too.
OR
TWO: Crowley IS actually Raverne and HAS been slowly enacting a master gambit...to embezzle school funds. the overblots are still completely incidental. he has somehow less idea of what's going on than we do. we confront him about it and he's just like

one of the things that I wish people would bring up more frequently when they're talking about AI is the interplay between the enshittification of search engines and consumer reliance on ChatGPT. It's become nigh-impossible to find basic information through a Google search without going through a bunch of extra effort—looking up even the most common questions and phrases returns a bunch of low-quality websites, actual scams, and ads for products that aren't even related to the thing you're searching for, and reliable results that used to be the first option are now buried on the second or third page (if that). So people don't even try anymore; instead, they take the auto-generated AI answer as gospel, or they bypass search engines altogether and type their question into an LLM. ChatGPT might hallucinate answers, but at least it has answers. That's attractive to someone who doesn't want to spend any more time trudging through shitty results on Google or DuckDuckGo. But the rise of AI is directly contributing to the shittiness of those results—those scummy, untrustworthy websites that sound like word salad are AI-generated! It's a self-perpetuating problem. Poorly-made, AI-generated websites make search results worse, which encourages people to skip normal searches and use AI agents instead, even if those AI agents are wrong sometimes. It's just this endless, stupid cycle of AI-driven enshittification

"Any assessment of the emotional component of the reconciliation of [Empress Matilda and Geoffrey of Anjou] remains speculation: the chroniclers are silent on the issue of whether [they] grew to love, hate, or like each other. We do know, from their movements and actions, that Matilda and Geoffrey eventually arrived at a businesslike arrangement with a united viewpoint toward the dynastic, geopolitical goals that had dictated their marriage in the first place."
"Matilda and Geoffrey effectively transitioned from a Divide and Rule model to a Collaborative Union from 1144 onwards, in which they worked together throughout their marriage to ensure rulership over their territories and gained their rightful lands, as well as ensuring the inheritance for their children. Matilda and Geoffrey’s political partnership can effectively be argued as the most successful through applying different models of rulership. Ultimately the Plantagenets regained Matilda’s inheritance through Henry, conquered Normandy, and produced several male heirs."
— Charles Beem, The Lioness Roared: The Problems of Female Rule in English History / Gabrielle Storey, Co-Rulership, Co-operation and Competition: Queenship in the Angevin Domains, 1135-1230
#WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!!! (in my head)#empress matilda#geoffrey of anjou#my post#historicwomendaily#It's very common for historians and historical novelists to overly focus on the emotional component of their marriage#usually by presenting it as wholly negative and dysfunctional#Which is honestly...incredibly counterproductive and misleading when it comes to studying them as historical figures.#We don't know what their marriage was like. We don't know what they felt about each other or if that evolved over time#As Beem says any assessment of their personal dynamic has to necessarily remain speculative.#(and honestly: Matilda offering donations to Godstow abbey for his safety in the 1140s and founding an abbey soon after his death in#honor of him and her parents - without mentioning her first husband - does open the door for potential reassessments of their relationship)#However: what we DO know for sure is that they had an exceptionally successful partnership#demonstrably the most effective from all Angevin rulers of England#And unlike all female rulers & their husbands from 12th century Europe they did not present threats to each other's authority#They also seem to have more or less respected each other's chosen titles (Empress and Duke of Normandy respectively)#And contrary to the popular idea that they fought for control over their sons#they actually seem to have been very cooperative in that regard - especially where Henry was concerned#See: Geoffrey sending Henry to Matilda with Robert of Gloucester#Matilda sending Henry back to him after his conquest of Normandy#Both of them originally fought for their own rights/power but eventually decided to transfer the dynastic succession to Henry#Matilda dropped the title 'domina Anglorum' from 1148 and Geoffrey relinquished his title of Duke to Henry in 1150#in order to promote him as the heir and king-claimant in the war#It was clearly a joint decision and it wouldn't have worked had their views and goals not been united and cooperative#and honestly I find this demonstrably successful partnership SO much more interesting for both of them than needless - and baseless -#speculations on their personal dynamic#that have influenced and warped popular views of them as historical figures

Fuuuck yooouuu fuckiingggg bitch i hate this stupid fuckinggggg. Can you give me a minute im dealing with the nuclear fallout of being a hardcore deltarune theorist post ch3+4. Thanks. Fuuuuuckkking helllll im so fuckinggg!!! This is so fucked upppp what the fuck do you MEANNNN!! THAT CANT BE RIGHT!!??
#rambles#deltarune#this is about everything#every little fucking thing#its so good#its makes my mind spin#grrr#grgegegggrrrgrbrr#of all the theories i expected to live on i did not expect my own crackpot asgore x gaster theory to still be standing#And it has more fucking evidence supporting it now too#i think ch 5 will be the deal breaker on whether it truly lives on or not but we will see#and also my crackpot starwalker is a shard of gaster theory has more fucking evidence for it too and is still alive#i might actually have to analyze save points at some point because they are very inexplicable...#and i can't help but feel like theres something more to them than just “use this to save ur data”#its gonna go back to gaster- but unlike half the theorists i know- im not afraid to tie shit to him and sift through what little we know#maybe not quite half but I've seen people cop out of gaster discussion enough times that its starting to bug me#its his game. its literally his game. how could you not tie it back to him?#and i understand that part of the reason it is avoided is because it can quickly get into baseless speculation#and there isn't much to work with in the first place#but i still think that it's the pussy's way out and it's leaving a very very important piece of this whole puzzle out of the picture#and deltarune as a game is intentionally keeping its hand concealed. so we have to make educated guesses#anyway. how about that new goner info huh? greyscale copies#i refuse to budge on that being in reference to goners btw#im getting really mean about this wtf#im sorry im normally more chill about this kind of thing#this fucking game brings out the worst im me (light hearted)

Someone tell me why (other than blatant transphobia and establishments protecting those who fit their norms vs those who don't lol) the girl from Italy who was a poor sport and sore loser is getting a monetary prize gold winners receive as compensation (for something? Biggest cry baby award ig?) despite not doing jack fuckin shit but cry and then whine bc she got punched... In a sport that revolves around punching meanwhile the girl from Algeria is not only being subject to unwanted and pointless public speculation about her gender identity (why are u so obsessed with her hormones?? There's an explanation for all of that, pls touch grass post haste 🙏) and scrutiny bc being a strong woman apparently means ur a man (as if that was the end of the world if she WAS trans??? Like?) and targeted/villanized by media, conservatives and failed personalities turned grifters (+ thousands of lowlife losers on the internet) but also being actively punished including being barred from competing in a world competition (I don't recall what it is specifically) DESPITE BEING THE OBVIOUS VICTIM IN THIS SITUATION FOR NO APPARENT REASON?? She just keeps on losing? like the bar for faith in humanity is truly in hell at this point

Sits in shambles I didn't read maybe Jorge's id correctly in the mysterious hermit logs the first god knows how many times I read them and only just now realized that it's the same id as the scientist that speaks in the agricultural notes log why must I be so bad at reading
#rat rambles#oni posting#on the bright side thats one mystery id kind of solved#by kind of I mean its most likely jorge but theres no way to comfirm it#this does make me feel like there might be some other b363 thing I missed but Im not sure if I doubt myself enough to go check rn#they are another character seen in story trait logs alongside an in game lifeform origin log just with critters this time#Ive made baseless speculation on who b363 could be based on what named characters we have without ids but its nowhere near confirmed#at least from what I remember but again Im starting to doubt myself a lil so I might double check at some point#the only idless characters we have fully marked off is nikola Im pretty sure#although based on the characters we do know anything abt itd most likely be either ada or liam but thats not saying much#ada is a fairly high probability tho since we basically 100% know that shes a part of the bioengineering department#liam possibly is too but thats more of a educated guess then smth particularly implied#Im glad I've finally realized who our lovely plant guy is tho#alas even if I find some hidden b363 content that still leaves I believe 3 ids unidentified#well we do know that at least one of them is steve but we don't know which one#and while we can take shots in the dark at who the scientist is theres also a second guard#and out of everyone we know bits and pieces abt theres no one who fits that bill or at least not anyone Im remembering#every other mentioned character is some flavor of scientist or is implied to be#not counting quinn but they are also off the table on account of not being a gravitas employee#so basically unless I missed smth the only previously established character that we know for sure is in that log is steve and the other two#could easily be any of the currently unused guys#and the other guard basically has to be unless theres scientists here that also double as guards

my baseless palisade 2 speculation is that while listening to Jack + Austin in pal56 I thought it could be fun if the protocol was part of the next system they're using somehow since it's become so important. like characters have "favors" btw them instead of bonds or w/e. now I don't know how much sense that would make for returning characters who have a sense of arbitrage contracts & how scary they are - while of course the protocol doesn't have anything to do with contracts, as it's been stressed, one could make a comparison - or the revolution in general? It'd immediately compromise player characters to an extend given arbitrage is the big bad, but this can be cool (really depends on the story setting out to be tell(hence the baseless part of the speculation)). mostly I just like when big setting stuff is directly reflected in the rules for the game so the narrative & system can influence each other back & forth.

^^^^ Yes, this. I came to the same conclusion.
The idea that it's "psychological conditioning" based on media (whether it's Mr. Rogers or Godzilla or anything else) mandates that everyone's been exposed to some form of that media and that just isn't realistic. There simply isn't enough of that kind of media going around, and it's not enough to claim that everyone has and doesn't remember.
It's more likely just a consequence of the way we naturally view the world. Definitely as kids playing with miniature models/toys on the floor, but also just in everyday life: things sitting on a table or your desk or the counter provide a distinctly different experience than things far away down the street. That's what your brain associates that field of view with.
Take your standard "close-up" field of view and mash it onto scenes you're most used to being large-scale and far away, and you get the odd sensation that you're looking at a model.
It doesn't work for every scene. Even some of the extra examples in the comments are poor candidates and fall flat in providing that feeling. Some just look like you've selectively blurred the perimeter just for effect and they don't look tiny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The short answer is... a tilt-shift lens.
Tumblr media
The slightly more complicated answer is... Mister Rogers.
Depth of field is the area in front and behind your chosen focus point that remains in focus and then slowly gets blurry as you get farther away.
Shallow depth of field only has a narrow slice of the image in focus and gets blurry super quick. This is caused by a large lens aperture and being close to the subject.
Tumblr media
Deep depth of field can extend through the entire picture if your aperture is small and you are super far away.
Tumblr media
Usually the depth of field lines up with the image sensor of your camera. So if it is tilted forward, the plane of focus matches.
Tumblr media
The stuff outside the green area would be blurry. The edges of the green would be slightly blurry. And the dashed green line would be the sharpest area of the photo.
But the tilt-shift lens allows you to create chaos with your plane of focus. In most cases, you would use this to flatten the depth of field so you can get a 2D plane entirely in focus.
Tumblr media
If you were to use a normal lens, the bottom left and top right would be blurry.
But with a tilt-shift lens you can do this.
Tumblr media
The green area is taking a little nap on the floor.
However, there is an unintended side effect created by this lens. (The "Scheimpflug intersection" if you want to go down the rabbit hole.) You can choose absolutely wacky planes of focus that create a very narrow depth of field over a geographically large area.
Tumblr media
Believe it or not, this is when psychology comes into play.
And possibly Mister Rogers.
youtube
Our only reference for such a large area having a shallow depth of field is our memories of miniatures on TV. So Mister Rogers and Thomas the Tank Engine trained our brains to see this effect as... small.
Depth of field shrinks the closer you are to something. And when filming miniatures, you are placing the lens close to the scene. But the scene represents something big in our minds. We buy the effect, but not 100%. That blurriness wouldn't be there at a regular scale. So our subconscious remembers we are watching small things pretending to be big. It just files that away in the back of our mind.
And then when we see something like this...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our brain is all, "Look at all that tiny shit!"
Without Mister Rogers, our brains may have never made these connections and tilt-shift photography may just make us wonder why everything is all blurry. That connection to past experience is vital for this effect to be convincing.
Brains are neat.

Culture Shock
—ꨄ︎ “Courting ritual? What are you talking about?”
Characters: Leona, Ruggie, Floyd, Azul
Notes: courting ritual misunderstanding brainrotttt drabbles LESGOO i live for the idea of the non-human students doing what they think is obvious flirting but you blatantly misunderstanding them lmao
Leona:
—Lions show courtship by following around their intended mate, biting, and pawing. Male lions will roar to make clear their intent. Lion courtship is fairly extended
He roared, pawing at your neck. You’ve noticed this pattern in behavior for a while now. He’s been following you around, asking if you’ll be talking to anyone else any time soon.
“Good,” he’d replied when you gave him a resounding ‘no’. “I’ll have you all to myself then.
What did he want? With no verbal answers from him you’d only been left with baseless speculation.
He bit your arm. He- he bit your arm.
And he seemed proud.
“Huh?”
Rather than apologize, or declare his intentions, or whatever, Leona stuck out his own arm, staring at your with darkened, narrowed eyes.
“I think it’s time we finally stopped playin’ around,” he said, leaning his face towards your own. “Seal the deal. Say what we’re both thinking.”
You blinked at him, owlish and trying quite desperately to figure out his intentions.
“…What are we both thinking, Leona-san?”
And suddenly, the coy sort of demeanor vanished, replaced by a mixture of surprise and irritation.
After a while, he spoke up.
“You seriously didn’t know this entire time?” He grumbled. What was he talking about.
“That’s why I’m asking,” you replied. “Please explain.”
But instead of explaining, he just huffed, pouting ever so slightly as he tossed your phone onto the bed.
“Tch. Figure it out yourself,” he said.
You just stood there, absolutely dumbfounded.
What the fuck.
Ruggie:
—Male hyenas are known to repeatedly step towards and step away from their intended mate. They then present their side to be smelled. They may also cross their legs.
“I can’t believe I of all people have to tell you to take a break!” He said, pouting. But he didn’t seem too bothered, content to lounge around in your room.
Ruggie stepped towards you, arm extended.
And then he stepped forward again.
And then, again, he stepped back.
And forward again.
“What are you doing?”
“Forward, Kantokusei-Kun,” he huffed, grabbing your arm.
And then he stepped back onto the bed, crossing his legs as he sat.
“Don’t leave me hangin’ now! Join me,” he said, voice slightly breathy.
…Was this his way of getting you to rest! How considerate! Ruggie really was nicer than he let on.
You sat, and then he-
Stuck out his arm.
“Well?” He said, looking at you expectantly. “Are you gonna do it, or—?”
“What are you talking about?”
”What.” All of a sudden, Ruggie was beet red, half angry, half embarrassed. “You never told me you weren’t interested- don’t-“
And then he stood up, plastering a smile on his face.
“Sorry, but I got a bunch of errands to run and- ohlookit’sLeona-sanbye!”
“Wait-“
He bolted out of your room, leaving you far more confused than before.
Floyd:
—Morays often open their mouths wide to signal intent to court. They also partake in a sort of mating dance, wrapping their bodies around one another.
Floyd yawned. Again. He must’ve been getting awfully bored now, huh?
“Sorry, Floyd,” you said. “I know you don’t like hearing me talk, but-“
He yawned again, mouth opened wide to reveal both his sets of jaws.
“What gave you that idea, Koebi-Chan?” He said, giggling. “I love hearin’ you talk! Your ideas are way more interesting than anything all those stupid guppies have to offer.”
But once again, he yawned. Actions spoke louder than words, you concluded.
Seeing you look at him with uncertainty, he grinned.
“I really am serious about this, y’know,” he said. “You’ll stay interestin’ for a long time.”
And suddenly-
“Dance with me, Koebi-Chan.”
He circled around you, grabbing your arms and gracefully moving around you as if he were trying to wrap himself around your body. When you failed to react, he paused, staring at you.
“Well?” He asked.
You just sighed. He must’ve been trying really hard to stop you from rambling.
“If you’re bored, you can just say so.”
Immediately, Floyd recoiled, like he’d been doused in a bucket of water. Or maybe oil. He’d probably like being covered in water since he was a moray, after all.
“What kinda go-good small fry do you take me for?” He huffed, looking downright offended. “This is laaame. I’m leaving.”
And without an explanation, he stormed out, leaving you staring blankly from within the confines of your room, absolutely dumbfounded.
Azul:
—Octopodes often cause appearance and body language to display intent to court, changing color, showing vibrant patterns, and standing tall with their suckers extended. Males will often latch on from behind.
“You have my attention now. You’d best not waste it,” Azul murmured lowly, showing you-
His arm. It was purple. Why was it purple.
“Is- Is something wrong?” You asked. Azul stood tall, leaning in towards you. You were worried for his health by now. His arms kept changing color, and you were wondering if he was being repeatedly beat up or something.
“You know exactly what’s wrong,” he said. “I intended to wait for you to approach, but you’ve been wearing my patience terribly thin.”
What. Was he talking about. Did he want you to offer to take him to the doctor, or—?
“You’ve done your research, I’m certain,” he said. His arm turned another shade, this time a bright blue.
Suddenly, his arm wrapped around your back.
“Tell me how you feel, Kantokusei-San.”
You just stared.
“Do you want me to take you to the doctor’s office, oooor—“
“No need.” For a brief second, Azul looked disappointed, before he covered it up with a smile. “I apologize for acting so foolishly. Goodness, I don’t know what’s gotten into me!”
“What were you-“
“I’ll be going now. Please, think nothing of my sudden behavior! I’ve just been feeling a little under the weather, you see. What I did says nothing about my feelings, I assure you.”
And with that, he was gone.
Okay, but seriously, what was up with his arm?

Not Rocky, only sucky — A record of the unauthorized use of my photo in Oliver Clegg’s work
This article documents the events surrounding the unauthorized use of one of my photographs in a work named Rocky by Oliver Clegg, from the initial discovery through to the current situation.
Please consider this a formal report for those who have supported me.
September 7, 2021
I posted a photo of my cat Kofuku and Mr.J.
At the time, someone even made a pixel art version of it, and many people enjoyed it together.
January 2023
A kind follower sent me a mention to a post introducing a “work” by Oliver Clegg.
Clegg later claimed he had tagged my Instagram, but in fact he had created a brand-new tag called “straycatmrj.” This has also been documented.
By that point, someone had already annotated his work via Hypothesis, raising questions about his use of materials.
February 2025
The traced work resurfaced. I began an investigation.
That same month, I consulted a lawyer through an initiative supported by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs:
Bansou.Support – a legal support service for copyright infringement and similar issues on the internet.
I was informed that:
Because the image is viewable online from Japan, this constitutes copyright infringement under Japanese law.
In my case, this use clearly does not fall under fair use.
My rights are protected internationally under the Berne Convention, regardless of the creator residing in the United States.
April 2025
Once again, I saw another traced work posted.
The uploader promptly removed the post and even issued a follow-up to explain the situation. I deeply appreciate their response.
However, the traced image continued to be reblogged.
I decided to follow through on my prior consultation and contact the gallery representing Mr. Clegg.
April 30, 2025 (JST)
I contacted the gallery directly.
A lawyer had advised that “this kind of issue is often treated seriously as a matter of credibility by galleries, so it’s worth contacting them.”
However, I received no response—perhaps because I am merely a Japanese individual blogger.
May 3, 2025 (JST)
I sent a follow-up message, stating that unless I received a response by the close of business on May 6 (EDT), I would make the findings public.
May 7, 2025
With no reply, I published the facts and timeline on Tumblr.
Many people offered support. However, I also witnessed comments that ignored all legal context, and some individuals spread false assumptions and slander.
Such baseless speculation only reveals more about the mindset and behavior of those making it.
I would like to take this opportunity to again express my sincere gratitude to those who responded respectfully and supported me.
May 8, 2025
24 hours later, with more response than expected, I published a follow-up thank-you note in the form of a reblog.
May 9, 2025 (Night)
60 hours later, I discovered that the relevant Tumblr tags were no longer functioning.
I suspected a technical issue—or possibly a report by someone connected to the other party.
I contacted Tumblr Community Support, and they responded promptly, stating that the issue had been resolved and would be reflected within 24 hours.
Shortly thereafter, the tag search functionality returned to normal.
May 10, 2025
72 hours later: search results had shifted.
Tumblr Search When searching for the artist’s name, I noticed that the specific work featuring my cat no longer appears in search results.
Google Image Search The image now appears to be filtered under SafeSearch.
Once again, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and stood with me.
Thanks again to everyone who helped clarify the origin of the image.
(This post may be useful to those researching digital appropriation or copyright boundaries in art.)
