The Forgotten Mach 2: Ford's 1967 Mid-Engined Mustang Prototype
In the Swinging Sixties, Ford's promotional photo featured a stylish couple beaming with joy as they prepared to take a ride in the Mach 2, essentially a mid-engined Mustang. This sleek, closed coupe boasted a 289 V8 engine, ZF 4-speed transaxle, and amenities like a radio and heater.
"Wait a minute", you may be thinking, if you're old enough to remember the Sixties, or if you've been reading this blog for awhile. "Wasn't there a mid-engined Mustang before there was any other kind?" Well, yeah, there was a drivable concept car based on the front-drive German Ford Taunus V4 powertrain, the Mustang 1*, but that was in 1962, and the roofless projectile seemed to be aimed mostly at SCCA racers ...
The Mach 2's story began in 1966, when Ford's Total Performance program aimed to infuse the GT40's mid-engined glamour into a production car. A Mustang convertible chassis was transformed into a concept chassis by Kar Kraft, incorporating Mustang front suspension, front disc brakes, and Galaxy rear drums. The independent rear suspension was borrowed from engineer Klaus Arning's patented multi-link design for Mustang 1.
Two running prototypes were built, with fiberglass bodies styled by Gene Bordinat's team. The first, a white car intended as an SCCA-ready weekend racer, suffered from chassis flex, while the second, a red example, had a reinforced chassis. The red Mach 2 was showcased at auto shows and featured in car magazines.
With a 107-inch wheelbase, similar to the new Corvette C8, and a weight of around 2,600 pounds, the Mach 2's performance was lively. Ford envisioned pricing it around $7,500, slightly above the Shelby AC 427 Cobra.
However, the Mach 2 program was ultimately scrapped. Ford's success with the Mustang and Shelby's modified versions meant that the Mach 2 was relegated to the sidelines. The white test car was crushed, and the red prototype was returned to Kar Kraft, disappearing from public view.
Rumors of the red Mach 2's fate have persisted, with some speculating that it may still be hidden away, waiting to be rediscovered. The possibility of finding this forgotten prototype has captivated car enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into an alternate history of American automotive innovation.

1967 Ford Mach 2
The 1967 Ford Mach 2 was a mid-engine sports car concept that was never mass produced. It was a two-seater with a GT style, low-sloping hood and front fenders, with a body made of fiberglass. Ford built the first one which was based on a shortened version of the 1966 Mustang convertible floor pan. Two more were built by Kar Kraft based on 1967 Mustangs and powered by a 289ci high performance engine mounted in the middle of the car. It had a five-speed manual transmission, independent rear suspension, and adjustable pedals derived from the 1962 Mustang-I.
Two fully functional prototypes were built:
• Red prototype: The production car candidate, with a revised engine cradle, adjustable Koni shocks, and a redesigned front end
•White prototype: A development mule for racing, with a modified 289, competition-spec components, and a lighter fiberglass body.
The Mach 2 was extensively tested, but the results were not encouraging. The road car handled well, but generated too much body roll at high speeds. The race car's chassis was not stiff enough, distorting under heavy loads. By the fall of 1967, Ford's designers had shifted their focus to the Mach 2A, and the three Mach 2 prototypes were left with Kar Kraft for disposal.

Nissan Silvia Autech Version K's MF-T, 1997. Autech's S14 series Silvia was powered by an Autech-tuned SR20DET 2.0 litre engine that produced 244hp. An IHI ball bearing turbo (VN14) was fitted in favour of the Garrett T28 in the standard Silvia, for slightly quicker response and flow. There were firmer shocks and springs, front strut brace, and a rear sway bar for the multi-link suspension.

(Art for Sideshow - Darren Tan)
Pet Project (Chapter 1)
General Grievous x F!Reader
Summary: The General has no one with him on the third moon of Vassek but his bodyguards, his doctor, and his roggwart, Gor, where he resides. You are the victim of loathsome pirates. Your ship crashes in Grievous’ backyard. As you lie injured and immobile, dying, he sees himself reflected in your eyes.
There’s no reason EV-A4-D can’t fix you—not because it’s right, but because he’s selfish. No one needs to know—especially not the Count. You become his pet project. What harm could it do, to have a little real company for once?
Warnings: NSFW // This chapter contains blood, injury, and the fear of death. In the future, there will be explicit sexual content, as I am gearing up for smut.
Word count: 2.1k
Notes: This will be a multi-chapter fic comprised of several short chapters. I will try to update as much and as quickly as possible. I wanted to write a reader insert where Grievous interacts with a kind, timid reader—a Grievous who chose his modifications, but who still harbors self-loathing and hatred for himself. One who still misses Ronderu lij Kummar, who hasn’t felt a woman's touch since the loss of his ten wives, and who, deep down, is lonely—with only his roggwart, Gor, for company, besides the insufferable EV-A4-D. It is my first time trying to write for Grievous, so I hope this isn't out of character!

You should never have left Vassek alone. Pirates—they were after your cargo, you presumed; your Nella 342 light freighter was no match for their advanced weaponry. You wondered what had brought them to your corner of the galaxy, struggling to input coordinates into your navicomputer, cannon fire rocking the aft of your ship—your shields could only take so much.
You considered their impropriety—a terrestrial planet located in the Wazta Sector, Vassek was a small blue-green world that boasted no uncommon resources. It was uninteresting to most, quite distant from the Koda Spur hyperspace route. So why were these marauders after you?
As the daughter of a simple farmer, you grew staple crops like grain to feed outlying neighbors—planets like Mijos and Lutrillia—far off the beaten path, in a stretch of the Outer Rim Territories that reached toward the Western Reaches.
You were tasked with going to market, willing to trade for supplies that were scarce back home. That, or you hoped to earn sufficient credits to purchase them instead—keeping just enough to buy fuel for the long trek back. Yet you had barely made it to the first of three orbiting satellites when the flagship of the Nuro pirates descended upon your freighter.
Though dependable and rugged, it had been discontinued. It was outdated and only boasted one blaster cannon, though you did not have a single crew member to spare. You were the ship’s sole occupant, doing everything in your power to break away from the tractor beam that held you firmly in place.
“Kark it all,” you spoke aloud, hastily programming your ship’s computer for your original destination—Ryoone—a planet along the Koda Spur whose dismal atmosphere was clouded by a permanent suspension of ash, making the growth of crops and vegetation almost impossible—your family’s grain was sorely needed there, you imagined.
Your comm blared; someone was trying to hail you—those damn raiders.
“Lower your shields—we’re coming aboard. Best play nice, or we won’t be,” came the voice of a surly male.
“Leave me alone! I have nothing of value!” Though not totally a lie, not everyone would consider grain a top commodity.
“She sounds pretty,” you heard another pirate say. It caused you to cringe, your imagination running away with you, knowing what these types were known for—none of it good.
“Quiet!” the first man demanded of the other. Then his voice came back to the line, sugar sweet. “Now, dearie, don’t be daft—we’ll be the ones decidin’ that.”
“Kark off!” you shouted back, disconnecting the comm. Having finished inputting your coords, you pulled back on the lever that would activate the freighter’s hyperdrive, hoping the pushback of the engines would break the tractor beam and set you free. Just as the warp drive began to fire and you tore away, a barrage of lasers took it out, causing you to careen off course.
“Shit, shit, shit!” you cursed as the Nella 342 spun out of control. You grappled at the yoke; the blast had taken out the remainder of your shields.
Prevented from entering lightspeed at the last millisecond, you realized you were caught by the gravitational pull of Vassek 3—a moon enshrouded in perpetual mist. There were rumors of monsters living there, men half made of metal—the pirates did not follow once they realized where your ship would fall.
Alarms blared, and the lights of your console flashed erratically as you tried and failed to activate the ion engines. Your ship’s repulsors were dead, short-circuited in a chain reaction, one part of your starship exploding after another.
There was nothing left to do. You strapped yourself into the cockpit, fastening your body to the pilot’s chair. Fear coursed through your veins. You fought desperately to steady your breath, determined not to hyperventilate, silently wishing you were safe at home on solid ground—but fate had other plans.
You plummeted toward rough terrain, breaking atmo. You braced for an inevitable impact. You offered a prayer to your gods and shut your eyes, catching a glimpse of the moon’s rocky landscape—there was nothing to cushion the crash.
Tears trickled down your cheeks as you prepared to die, wondering if anyone would ever find your body.
---
Magnetic talons gripped bare rock, the electrostaff of an IG-100 MagnaGuard connecting with pure plasma in an impressive display that bore no witnesses. The fearsome general of the droid army parried the attack with a single swing of his duranium arm. There were seven styles of Jedi combat; Grievous was employing Makashi—the form he had first learned from Count Dooku—counterattacking with ferocity, his strikes quick and precise.
“Ha! This is child’s play!” he taunted, addressing his group of sparring partners—mechanical beings trained to his specifications. They were perfectly equipped to hone his skills, outfitted in Kaleesh capes bearing mumuu markings and matching headwear.
These MagnaGuards were a group of two, with another of the General’s combat droids flanking him from the rear—or attempting to—his powerful LX-44 robotic legs propelling him as if spring-loaded, the cyborg flying in an arc as he raised his saber above his head in a two-handed pose.
Sparks flew as the battle-hardened droids blocked each of Grievous’ deft blows, one of his artificial limbs withdrawing a second saber to ward off the IG-100 that continued to hound him from behind.
Then, a laugh—a cough. A dense fog rolled through the canyon, concealing the seven-foot cyborg in a layer of thick white mist as the light from his sabers went out.
All was silent, the combat droids on high alert as their glowing red photoreceptors scanned their surroundings, deep robotic voices echoing throughout the mountainous terrain as they communicated with one another in an audible form of droid language. These models were capable of fending off Jedi, loyal only to their primary directive—which, at this moment, was to defeat their master—even if it meant losing their heads.
Decorated with scorch marks and dents, they were not permitted to repair their damage—if they fell to Grievous here, if they were marred, so they would remain.
Though they could not feel fear, they felt the General’s reptilian eyes staring at them through a well-hidden armorplast face mask, its shape resembling his species. He had once been a frightful warlord, though some might argue he was now even more terrifying—trading his organic parts for cybernetic ones, with only a few organs remaining: lungs, liver, and a cold, still-beating heart.
There was no sound but the wind and the buzz of their servos, their master having visibly vanished. One of their ilk probed the fog, the point of his shock staff slicing through nothing but thin air.
Then came a disembodied voice: “Surely, that is not the best you can do!”
A shadow, a series of swift, exacting movements—one MagnaGuard nearly lost an arm; another yelped in surprise.
“Ha ha ha!” came Grievous’ monotone cackle, two limbs breaking apart—electronically driven—splitting in half by a dislocation of his shoulders. Each hand had opposable thumbs and articulated fingers. They all now grappled lightsabers, his wrists maneuvering in a tightly controlled spin.
The IG-100s prepared themselves, righting their weapons and facing their unrelenting adversary head-on. But now he was distracted, his violent helicoptering coming to a halt as he sheathed his sabers, black slit pupils focusing on something above him as he spoke aloud: “End session.”
The MagnaGuards released their defensive stance, waiting neither patiently nor impatiently for orders, but simply existing—their eyes drifting upward as all four beings present watched what appeared to be a starship descend, engulfed in flames and trailed by smoke.
There was a sound of grinding metal, a reverberation that echoed throughout the valley. For a moment, Grievous did not move.
No explosion came. The General listened, hearing only the faint crackle of flames in the distance. His immediate assumption was that there were no survivors, but considering his home rarely received visitors, he was curious as to who—or what—might be among the wreckage.
“Guards,” he began in a grating, gravelly voice, “come with me.”
---
You were pinned, your body jammed between twisted shards of durasteel and the remains of your communications console. Something did not feel right—in fact, you oddly felt nothing at all.
Your eyes fluttered open; unbeknownst to you, your body had gone into shock, a part of your pilot’s seat having lodged itself in your belly—the base bolting it down had been torn clean from its root. Though your hands shook, you began to feel around, the mist from outside the ship having breached through the cracks in your hull.
Then, you looked down. It was something you should not have done—panic overtook you as your heart began to race, seeing the protrusion jutting out from your gut. You scrambled to press the rescue beacon on the console next to you, unsure if it would even work, electric wires sizzling and sparking so near your face you had to close your eyes again, albeit temporarily.
“Oh, God,” you whined, unable to control the flood of tears welling in your eyes. You attempted to move your legs, but whatever was on top of them was much too weighty—where would you even go? What would you do? Vassek 3 was a barren moon, besides its fabled monsters.
You thought you heard a noise—the crunch of footsteps over rock and gravel. They were much too heavy. Inhuman. And there was more than one set.
Your eyes widened as a towering shadow took shape, rising up from the fog just outside your cracked viewport. Metal clanked against metal once whatever it was entered the remains of your freighter’s cargo bay—red pinpricks of light seared through the dark, visible through the door of your cockpit, torn from its hinges and lying on its side.
Droidspeak—you were sure of it. These were droids—large ones—with sinister photoreceptors and billowing capes.
You held your breath, though it hurt.
A voice, rasping and mechanical, tore through the silence.
“What do we have here?” it asked in a curious lilt.
You would have screamed, but the sound caught in your throat. What you were beholden to witness was one of the most terrifying things you had ever seen.
A figure pushed past the others and stood before you—the caricature of a man, more than seven feet tall. Its limbs were long and lithe, made of metal and alloy. Its legs were the same, feet spread apart in a shape that resembled claws. But its face was the most horrific thing of all—flesh and blood covered by a mask and helmet reminiscent of some otherworldly creature, the likes of which you had never laid eyes on.
Its slit pupils regarded you, though there was something about it—him—that gave you the smallest bit of comfort. He was not a droid like the others; he was a living, breathing, organic being. His lungs expanded and contracted as the creature coughed, having crouched down on one knee before you—studying you, perhaps, and the predicament you had found yourself in.
“Please—” you begged, your hand gripping the bar extending from your belly. You felt faint, certain you were losing too much blood. A terrifying thought crept in: if you closed your eyes again, would they ever reopen?
The last thing you witnessed as you succumbed to unconsciousness was the tilt of this being—this monster’s head. You felt what you thought was a sharp talon caress the soft flesh of your cheek.
Grievous saw himself reflected in you, if only for a moment—the victim of an error, a horrible crash—left for dead until some form of help had arrived. It was what had led him to this life, this form. His piercing gaze observed the pain on your face; he felt it vicariously, its mark etched into your features.
And you were comely, he thought. Beautiful despite your anguish, despite being clothed in the garments of a pauper.
He decided he would fix this—you—by affording you the same opportunity he had once been given. Not because it was right, but because he was selfish. No one needed to know—not even the count.
What harm would it do, having a little company for once? Someone who would otherwise die and be discarded?
In a single, fleeting moment, Grievous made his choice—it was a split-second decision, the General not thinking of the repercussions or the many possible outcomes that might come to pass.
There was no one present to challenge him, least of all his guards.
As you began to fade away, he spoke once more. Fear had left you. His voice was both calm and commanding— and possibly the last thing you would ever hear.
“Get out of my way! I am going to cut her loose.”

A year in illustration (2024), Part four
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you'd like an essay-formatted version of this post to read or share, here's a link to it on pluralistic.net, my surveillance-free, ad-free, tracker-free blog:

Tumblr media
Part one
Part two
Part three
Tumblr media
The US Copyright Office frees the McFlurry
Figuring out how to illustrate the problems of DRM in McFlurry machines took some doing, but I'm super happy with how the HAL 9000-eyed poop emoji inside a spattered McFlurry cup (fair use of a McDonald's promo image) worked out.

Tumblr media
Keeping a suspense file gives you superpowers
Another Keppler classic: originally, this was FDR being offered a helping hand to cut through his paperwork. I added in one of the elephant heads I'd cropped out for election illustrations, and used it to represent "not forgetting."
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/26/one-weird-trick/#todo
Tumblr media
The housing crisis considered as an income crisis
The underlying image is another Keppler, showing death flamboyantly dicing with a millionaire. I added in an official (hence public domain) Reagan portrait, some monopoly houses, and a vintage aerial photo of Levittown, halftoned to disguise scaling artifacts.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/24/i-dream-of-gini/#mean-ole-mr-median
Tumblr media
Retiring the US debt would retire the US dollar
More of Keppler's outstanding Uncle Sams! Add in a super-rezzed-up US $100 (all that intanglio looks great at high mag) and you've got an instantly arresting image.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/21/we-can-have-nice-things/#public-funds-not-taxpayer-dollars
Tumblr media
Penguin Random House, AI, and writers' rights
The impatient guy makes another appearance in this WPA image of an adult literacy class; he's joined by another "business man" type, this one from a midcentury ad for a multi-level marketing scheme selling…business suits! The pupils' heads are all HAL 9000 eyes, natch, but don't miss all the little Easter Eggs, like the reeve and peasants in the frames on the walls.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/19/gander-sauce/#just-because-youre-on-their-side-it-doesnt-mean-theyre-on-your-side

Tumblr media
You should be using an RSS reader
The guerrilla fighter is back, this time standing atop some mainframe equipment ganked from a Univac ad. The halftoned RSS logo in the background really works, especially with a partially blended GIMP "supernova" effect behind the rebel.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/16/keep-it-really-simple-stupid/#read-receipts-are-you-kidding-me-seriously-fuck-that-noise
Tumblr media
Dirty words are politically potent
I spent a bunch of time experimenting with different ways of making emphatic speech bubbles and it paid off here; that poop emoji's gawlix is in a good home. Halftoning the foreground element (the poop) works surprising well here. I should do more of that.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/14/pearl-clutching/#this-toilet-has-no-central-nervous-system
Tumblr media
Lina Khan's future is the future of the Democratic Party – and America
Keppler's Uncle Sam Cop is back, along with another Keppler – a carpetbagger flying through the air after getting a kick in the pants. I got good use out of one of my Democratic Party donkeys here. The background is a half-tones WPA travel poster for Montana.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/11/democracys-antitrust-paradox/#there-will-be-an-out-and-out-brawl
Tumblr media
Cars bricked by bankrupt EV company will stay bricked
I actually made this brick by hand: first I rescaled a box image until it had the right proportions, then I found a public domain texture that was the right kind of brick and used the perspective tool to put it over each face of the box. I told you public domain bricks are hard to find.
It was very satisfying overlaying all the elements of the Fisker car I cropped out onto the brick.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/10/software-based-car/#based
Tumblr media
Prime's enshittified advertising
Nothing exceeds like excess! The flayed face with eyeballs comes from a 19th century book of French anatomical drawings. The calipers' handles just didn't look right (I referred to stills from Clockwork Orange to try and get 'em to work), but then I hit on the idea of using the "As Seen on TV" logo, which worked perfectly. The halftoned K-Tel ad-card background doesn't quite work, I think.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/10/03/mother-may-i/#minmax
Tumblr media
"That Makes Me Smart"
This is actually two Kepplers; the original guy in the leg-hold trap is some lost-to-history politician embroiled in a lost-to-history scandal. But once I added (yet another!) of Keppler's Uncle Sam heads to his body (recoloring his coat and converting his trousers to red stripes), it became a perfect visual representation of America, trapped. The halftoned US flag is my favorite background yet.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/12/04/its-not-a-lie/#its-a-premature-truth
Tumblr media
The far right grows through "disaster fantasies"
When it came to finding heavily armored and armed weirdos, I was spoilt for choice; same goes for grainy photos of vintage malls that look good after halftoning. Add in the goofy, grinning newsie's head and overlay his hat in camou, and it's perfect.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/11/24/mall-ninja-prophecy/#mano-a-mano
Tumblr media
Boss politics antitrust
Finally, I got a chance to use Keppler's "Capital Controls the Senate!" I agonized over which corporate logos to use. Boss Tweed is back, with a Trump wig and MAGA hat.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/11/12/the-enemy-of-your-enemy/#is-your-enemy
Tumblr media
Antiusurpation and the road to disenshittification
A diptych! Both sides' backgrounds come from Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights" – hell on the left, heaven on the right. The happy gas-jockey's old-fashioned ethyl pump divides the scene. The head-devouring dragon (with HAL 9000's eye) is a delightfully gory detail from Goltzius's 1183 painting of a couple guys having a hard time indeed.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/11/07/usurpers-helpmeets/#disreintermediation
(Image: Cryteria, CC BY 3.0, modified)
Tumblr media
Bluesky and enshittification
I know, canonically the sirens who tempted Ulysses were merfolk, not half-woman/half-birds, but all the merwoman versions have a ton of naked breasts in them, and frankly, Waterhouses's 1891 "Ulysses and the Sirens" just rips. It took a lot of fiddling with the perspective tool and the clone brush to swap their bodies for the Bluesky butterfly wings, but it still looked weird until I mapped in a kind of scaly, butterfly wing texture.
https://pluralistic.net/2024/11/02/ulysses-pact/#tie-yourself-to-a-federated-mast
Tumblr media
Shifting $677m from the banks to the people, every year, forever
I replaced Moses parting the Red Sea with Keppler's Uncle Sam Cop, but something still wasn't right. Then I figured out how to turn the Red Sea into a giant, aquatic US $100 bill (loooove that intaglio!) and it was awesome.

🌨How to write in POV's?🌨
Choosing the perspective from which to tell your story is one of the most crucial decisions you’ll make as an author. Opting for multiple points of view (PoVs) can offer depth, diversity, and a panoramic view of the narrative that can captivate readers. Juggling multiple PoVs requires a deft hand and a clear plan. In this post, we’ll explore some effective strategies for writing a novel using multiple perspectives.
What is a point of view?
Point of view serves as the narrative’s eyes and ears—the viewpoint from which readers engage with your story. It can range from the intimate “I” of the first person, the rarely used direct address of the second person, to the more distanced and flexible third person (which can be limited to one character’s perspective or be omniscient, seeing into the minds of all characters).
Incorporating multiple PoVs means weaving a narrative through the lives and experiences of two or more characters, often alternating between their perspectives with each new chapter or section, which can enrich the story with complexity.
Choose your characters wisely
When writing a multi-PoV novel, it’s important to pick your characters carefully. Make sure that each one has a unique voice and their own way of seeing things. Each character should add something special to the story that no one else can. Also, think about how each character will change over time and how their stories connect. This will help your readers get to know your characters better and keep the plot interesting.
Map out your story structure
Planning your story’s framework is a crucial step in a multi-PoV novel. Start by outlining the individual plot lines for each character, making sure they fit well together and are interesting on their own. Decide how much time to spend on each character and keep it balanced to keep the reader engaged. Also, think about the order you introduce each character’s PoV, as this will affect how the story feels and builds suspense. Good planning will help you weave together the different viewpoints into a coherent and interesting narrative.
Create clear transitions
Clear transitions are key to a smooth reading experience in a multi-PoV novel. They guide the reader seamlessly from one character’s perspective to another, without confusion. Using character names or other distinct markers in chapter headings can help signal a shift in PoV. Consistency in these transitions is vital; once you establish a pattern, stick to it throughout the story. This consistency helps the reader quickly adapt to changes in perspective and maintains the flow of your narrative, ensuring each transition contributes to the depth and progression of your story.
Deepen characterisation through PoV
Utilising multiple points of view can deepen characterisation by allowing readers inside the minds and motivations of various characters. To maximise the impact on the overall story, ensure that each PoV shift adds new information, advances the plot, or reveals key character dynamics, helping to create a tapestry of interconnected stories and themes. By presenting internal thoughts and diverse perspectives on events, each PoV can offer a unique insight into the narrative, building a richer, more textured story.
Ensure each PoV advances the plot
In a multi-PoV novel, it’s essential that each point of view contributes meaningfully to the forward momentum of the plot. Avoid filling pages with scenes that do not serve the story’s progression or reveal significant information. Link the characters’ stories through shared events, underlying themes, or relationships. This approach ensures that every narrative perspective not only enhances the depth of your characters but also keeps the reader engaged with a plot that is continuously moving and developing through each character’s eyes.

hi it's me everyone's favourite multi-fandom tumblr blog-
just kidding. obviously i'm not a multi-fandom blog.
except i might be now because i just posted a 15,000 word assassination classroom fic. does posting one fic in a different fandom make you multi-fandom? does being good at column addition make you a talented mathematician?? does liking one harry styles song make you a harry styles fan???
yeah i don't really know where i'm going with this. but i do have the link to this fic and i put quite some thought into it (which is somewhat rare for me) so if anyone happens to be into assassination classroom i would actually probably like it immensely if you read it 🥰
fic summary:
Karma's suspension ended a few weeks into the start of term.
When he greeted Nagisa, the sun behind him darkening his shape into a silhouette, his grin was almost sadistic, his voice dripping with sarcasm, thick like honeyed poison. He loved the way Nagisa's face seemed to cycle through ten different emotions in one split second.
It was always easier for Karma to treat people like playthings.

According to a seminal piece of research authored by Mike Bryant, the Covid-19 Pandemic was NOT an “isolated episode,” but rather was …
“A highly-organized undertaking disguised as a public health emergency, a program designed by the “Deep State to expand control, and reshape society in ways most people never saw coming.”
In Bryant’s opinion …
“This multi-faceted structural event (was) the culmination of the Deep State’s decades-old determination to institute a raft of invasive policies—including the worldwide suspension of basic civil liberties—to salvage their crumbling financial empire and usher in a complete transformation of society.”
Earlier today, I cross-posted Part 1 of Bryant’s 7,163-word article, which was published at the website of Health Freedom Defense Fund, an organization founded by Leslie Manookian.
Replete with linked sources, Bryant’s article tells readers HOW the Covid Pandemic happened.
In reading (and re-reading) this lengthy article, I was struck by the massive level of coordination, planning and funding that was required to produce these “tyrannical” results.
One blade of piercing irony is the conspirators who mobilized under the pretense of preventing or ameliorating a deadly and misery-producing viral pandemic ended up producing carnage of an unfathomable scale.

Kinktober Plans!
Hello and welcome to October! Last year I only wrote a few kinky pieces (as I was just starting to get the hang of smut writing, mind you), and in the last twelve months I have written whole stories and various drabbles centered around numerous kinks, so I gotta admit that I don't really see the appeal of writing more of the same thing I already write during the whole year for this special month.
BUT
I had an idea. While I have a fixed plan for my stories, I sometimes struggle to come up with ideas for my smut drabbles. So I compiled a little list of kinks that I will put into a Picker Wheel and then combine it with a list or two of character dynamics/pairings/creatures, and if need be, because some kinks are a little vague, I will go to Kinkly.com to let them give me a random sex position (by using the Surprise Me button until I find one that's plausible).
And then I hope I'll get inspired and motivated enough to write a bunch of short little Kinktober drabbles for your enjoyment! (As you can tell I am prone to procrastinate a lot, seeing it's already October 1st, but, well, better late than never!)
Feel free to take my idea and make it your own, I know it's always helpful to have some prompts or a machine to choose something for you.
Happy Kinktober everyone!
(See below the lists of kinks and dynamics I put together!)

Do You Want Chenford to Get Back Together? Let's Send Feedback to ABC
Tumblr media
A lot of fans have posted their dissastisfaction about The Rookie on social media. Most of them complained about how the show has been dragging Chenford's separation for too long. I think I understand the reason behind the separation, but I also understand the fans' frustation. Like Eric Winter said, it's better to tell ABC what we want. Complaining on social media feels good at first, but it has little to no effect on the show.
There's a significant period between the time when an episode is written, and the time when it goes live. If we want our suggestions to be implemented, we have to send them as early as possible.
Now might be a good time to send suggestions for Season 8. You can find the link to send your feedback below, or simply google "ABC feedback". Google will send you to a page on ABC website, with a link to give feedback on it.
Tumblr media
You don't have to give a long elaborated feedback. A short, simple, and to-the-point one is enough. For example:
"Hi. I am a fan of The Rookie show. Chenford is my favorite couple and their separation is killing me. Please get them back together asap, and please renew the show for another season. Thank you."
To give you some ideas, here is the feedback which I have sent just now (minus the pictures). You might not agree with some or all of the points. It's also quite long, but you don't have to go that long.
*****
Dear ABC,
Thank you for giving us The Rookie. I really love the show. It has a great dynamic among the main characters. Everyone could interact with everyone, simply by making Grey changes their work partners. The show has a nice balance of drama and comedy, which is rare. The characters are multi-dimensional with their own strength, weakness, and growth. The casts are amazing (shout out to Mekia Cox for her amazing portrayal of vulnerable Nyla Harper this season). It is really a good show.
I've heard that the shooting process is usually far ahead from the time an episode goes live. Thus, I'd like to give some suggestions for the next season:
1) Bring back big cases with big baddies, please.
Tumblr media
The Rookie has great villains, almost like the DC Batman. Villains like La Fiera, Elijah Stone, Rosalind Dyer, and Monica Stevens have strong personalities and make deep impressions on me. There are also Oscar Hutchinson who is still on the run. Utilize them more, please.
The federal bank heist in Season 6 was thrilling. The Nick Armstrong case made me sit on the edge of my seat. I love cases when the bad guys are smart and efficient. In my opinion, the crown jewel case so far is the Guatemala Adventure, which made Wesley and Angela my favorite couple. Nowadays, there is no case as big and thriling like the ones in the past. That's too bad.
2) Bring back a case with a twist.
Tumblr media
Nick Armstrong case makes a lasting impression in me because of the twist. The seed was planted nicely. The case was also told during several episodes, so it didn't feel rushed. Please bring back a case like that, with long planted seeds which take people by surprise when the bad guy is uncovered.
3) Bring back undercover cases.
Tumblr media
Undercover cases are always thrilling because:
a. They are intense by nature. There's a suspense of will-they/won't-they be caught all the time.
b. Change of scenery. The cases usually involve new locations for quite a long time. It's nice to change the view.
c. Meet new characters. We can meet and get to know new people for a good amount of time. The main casts also get a chance to act different characters, which is interesting.
Tumblr media
I got an idea for an undercover case: how if John Nolan was sent to work undercover, but one of the bad guys was Mr. Singer, the bad guy whom John Nolan tricked to get a confession from, several season ago. Mr. Singer could recognize John as a cop. Mr. Singer is played by Lou Ferrigno Jr. who's gotten recognition recently for playing Tommy Kinard in 9-1-1 show (full disclosure: I'm a fan of LFJ). It might bring some of his fans to watch The Rookie.
4) Don't close a case too soon.
Tumblr media
I had a big hope for Liam Glasser, but I was disappointed because he was caught too soon. This is a procedural drama. You have done really well with the drama part lately. It's time to up the procedural part.
I would like to see a big case or two in every season, or maybe a really big case which last several seasons, like William Bracken case in Castle TV show. Let a case last for several episodes before it's resolved. Closing a case too soon cheapens it. It takes the thrill off. We know whatever the problem is now, it will be over soon enough.
5) Fans are impatient about Chenford.
Tumblr media
In episode 7x08 "Wildfire", Tim said that if Lucy passed her sergeant exam, she wouldn't be under Tim's chain of command anymore. I took it as a sign that Chenford would be reunited after Lucy passed the exam. However, some of the fans are either didn't get the sign or just being impatient. Or perhaps I misread the sign? The fans got restless in social media. I don't know how you could address the issue. Maybe let Alexi Hawley give fans some assurance in an interview that Chenford would be reunited?
Tumblr media
Alexi Hawley used to work in Castle TV show, but Chenford is different than Caskett (Castle and Beckett). In Castle, there are only 2 lead characters: Richard Castle and Kate Beckett. Of course they would end up together. The Rookie has an ensemble cast. So, it's not that obvious that Lucy Chen wìll end up with Tim Bradford. Some fans are anxious about Chenford's reunion. You might want to address it somehow.
6) Bring back Seth Ridley.
Tumblr media
Seth Ridley is a dividing character among the fans. A lot of fans find him annoying (which is fair) or hate him with a burning passion because he almost burnt fans' favorite couple alive, single-handedly. However, I like the character. He has good sides and bad sides in equal measure. It's a well-written and well-acted multidimensional character.
There's a speculation among fans that Seth Ridley might turn villain. Personally, I prefer he gets a redemption arc and be together with Tamara. Although part of me would mourn the old Seth, his camaraderie with Miles Penn, and his potential romance with Tamara, I think it a Dark Seth is a great idea.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, we haven't gotten a good story about Miles Penn. I assume it's just not his turn yet. I trust Alexi Hawley to write something good for Miles Penn. I like this character.
7) Bring a villain origin story.
Tumblr media
There's only a few villain origin stories have been told on TV shows. Other than superhero shows, I only remember it happened in Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Most of the time, bad guys have been bad since the first time we saw them. Seth Ridley turns villain could be a great story, although I will mourn the old Ridley and his potential. He really wants to be a good cop 😭.
8) Give Rodge more scenes (and songs).
Tumblr media
Most fans agree that Daddy Cop and 911 songs are good addition to the show, but a lot of fans doubt Rodge's chemistry with Celina Juarez. Plus, as Alexi Hawley's son, Zander Hawley, has more to prove. The issue could be resolved by giving Rodge more scenes. Of course, Zander has to deliver on those scenes.
Tumblr media
Personally, I like Rodge. He has a unique personality. His ability to create a song on the spot is amazing. I love to watch the full version of the other songs which Rodge kept in his phone (the song about firefighter, Girl Scouts, and postal worker). I bet it would be hilarious 😂.
9) Give the spotlight to the side characters once in a while.
Tumblr media
Oh the potential! Each of the Lopez brother could involve in a case. And we still don't talk about Bruno (pun intended). How about bring Tru Valentino as a guest star? Show that he's thriving in his new station.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mama Lopez (Angela's mom) and Patrice (Wesley's mom) could strike a friendship. Mama Lopez is a matchmaker (so is Angela 😂), and Patrice had a bad luck with her romance with a tennis coach. How if Mama Lopez worked for a rich widowed man as a secretary, and matched Patrice with her boss? I love Wesley and Angela, and I want them to get richer 😂.
Tumblr media
I'd also love to see Jackson West's father meets little Jackson Evers. I miss Jackson West and his friendship with Lucy and John. Just give me a good remembrance episode of Jackson to cry about 😭.
Tumblr media
I love the way this show honors characters who have left the show by bringing them up every now and then. It's been quite some time since someone makes a reference to Captain Zoe Andersen or Thalia Bishop. Please don't let people forget them.
That's all I can think about for now. Needless to say, I also expect the show to be renewed for Season 8. Thank you very much for your attention.

F1 related news, rumours and mind blowing stuff from past days
(it's super long after past 3 days so i will add it under the cut)
I cannot not start by Lewis to Ferrari on a multi-year contract being confirmed
Some leaked and speculated details include: Charles and Carlos both knew for some weeks, the news was leaked early by British source to avoid Lewis being included in development beyond 2025 in Merc, Toto was surprised but didn't expect Lewis staying for long in Mercedes anyway, Ferrari offered a huge paycheck and almost bianco check for any personal and charitable projects he wishes (granted by Elkann himself)
His engineer Peter Bonnington could follow him to Ferrari, but that decision is completely on himself
There are rumours of Carlos potentially moving to rally for 2025 for a break before a possible seat in Audi in 2026
Peter Windsdor reported he "heard" Alex got a 3 years offer from Red Bull, but there are rumours that people around Alex started this to get a better offer (possibly at Merc)
Among all of this, Haas livery was posted and it follows the trend of more and more black color included to save weight (fun fact: white color is the worst one possibly to choose for a livery since you need most layers of it which adds weight and sponsors sometimes don't want their logo on white because it's not as readable on TV)
F1 complained Andretti wasn't serious about the F1 offer, because Michael Andretti missed a meeting with F1 management to discuss their application, Andretti responded that they didn't see the invitation, because it ended up in the spam folder after an employee sent it rather than Domenicali
Haas appointed Andrea de Zordo as a Technical Director and Damien Brayshaw as a Performance Chief
There are some speculations Kimi Antonelli could be moving to Mercedes for 2025 based on the posts about Italian from Mercedes on social media (personal opinion: it's just a reaction to Lewis moving to Ferrari and Kimi doesn't even have enough superlicence points just yet so there will be a lot of pressure to get those in his debut F2 year if it's really the plan)
RB17 hybrid roadcar will apparently have active suspension technology which was banned from F1
There was some speculation from fans that Sebastian Vettel could come back and joing Mercedes but Toto Wolff denied it when he spoke to him the previous day
Ollie Bearman will also be Haas' reserve driver (with Fittipaldi) besides Ferrari's - there are two mandatory junior sessions but Haas will let him driver the car six times in 2024
Most random piece of info: Alicia Keys, Pharell Williams and Martin Garix will have a post race concert in Saudi Arabia
DAZN arw signing broadcasters for new season and apparently face some difficulties with Pedro De La Rosa, they can't say more besides it's an "issue which will be dealt with by an F1 team with great discretion"
Interesting fact: during International GT Open, standings were called incorrectly behind a safety car whoch lead to leader losing out and ICA (International Court of Appeal) decided that wrong SC rules apllication is not enough to cancel the result of the race which... sadly shows how AD21 appeal would probably go from FIA's ICA as well
McLaren showed the 2024 suits, the 2024 F1 Academy livery and they did their tyre test at Paul Ricard
Suzuka extended contract with F1 for 5 years
Nyck de Vries will have to pay 50% of his 2022 F1 income (driver salary and sponsorship deals) because he lost in lawsuit agaisnt Investrand
Hamda Al Quibasi and Emely De Heus will be RBR's F1 Academy drivers while Amna Al Quibasi will be Visa Cash App RB's driver
Williams signed a sponsorship deal with Vast Data and also announced meet and greet in NY
There are many people linked to the Merc seat including Mick Schumacher, Alex, Fernando (apparently Ted Kravitz was said to be the source but he denied it), Carlos, Esteban - Toto himself said Charles and Lando would be first on their list if they didn't extend long term contracts already
Melbourne will become season debut from 2025 again
