In your opinion, what would be the ideal situation for Jay in upcoming Dragons Rising episodes/ seasons? Even if you think the writers would never take that angle, what would you most like to see in the show?

There’s actually a few paths I would like to see with him…

1. Him staying with the ninja because he has to, but is extremely against it and them (kind of like season 3, but with Jay being just a tad more closed-off (a tad a lot).

did NOT like the Jaya moments they put (I love the moment and Jaya, I just didn’t like that they happened. In my opinion, Jay should’ve stayed farthest away from a woman who often ‘assaults’ him and claims to be his yang. And for someone who shattered his goodness, I wanted him to be really blunt about his feelings of uncomfortable and straight up call Nya to be in her place. (*It’s just a bit extreme, but there was a fic I read which did that. It took place at the tournament, around when they went to eat, and there was a confrontation between Nya and Jay and it worsened into Jay calling Nya a slut. I don’t expect the writers to do anything like that, it’s just an example of some extreme stuff I expected to at least find in fanfiction)

I also love the idea of everyone gathering together to try and get Jay’s memories back (after five years of separation, even after finding each other). Basically him being the heart of the team. Cole and his family moving in so Cole could be closer to Jay, Lloyd grounding his training for Arin, Wyldfyre, Sora, and Frak to stay in the monastery, Zane cooking certain smells and flavors Jay used to really love, Nya sticking to Jay’s side and sacrificing her free time and personal space for him, Kai working on his video games skills to play against Jay to try and spark old times, Pixal researching amnesia and what she can do, and them having meetings discussing him

I’m also the biggest fan of tension (sexual tension, awkwardness, jealousy, etc.) and that situation has so many different opportunities for different types of tension. I love that

2. Him sticking to his lonely bounty hunter arc… I would like to see him do horrible stuff the old Jay would swear to stay tf away from. Two reasons for that:

A) when he gets his memories/goodness back he’ll be absolutely petrified with himself, and the screams/his actions would hunt him and that’s something I’m so up for

B) the others having mixed feelings about him. With their high morals, do they really want a killer with them? Is it even their Jay anymore? They want the old Jay, not killer Jay… but they have to accept the version of him that they have, and change and stop him

I’ll just love to see Jay explore themes and go insane and shi. Being a bounty hunter is such a good start for darker themes and that’s seriously rad if you’re a big fan of them like me

3. Him wandering alone (giving up his bounty hunter job) and stumbling across old places, and maybe old people too….. (*ehem… Ed and Edna… ehem ehem)

I would like their interaction to be like with Jay being in an absolute pathetic, desperate state in the middle of a dessert. After miles of walking alone he stumbles across a junkyard. Something! He hears voices and sounds. He tries to break in (succeeds then gets caught) and his parents are confused, why is he begging them to let him stay? Nonetheless, helping him is first, questions are second. And they take care of him and eventually the ‘we’re your parents’ topic comes up, he asks for a dna test, they say he’s adopted, he’s like “seriously? Fat chance.” And rolls his eyes. They understand his difficulty with trusting them and they settle on a ‘we’ll take care of you until you’re ready to leave’ relationship and while his stay he warms up to them (still leaves), but visits once in a while

I mostly just really, REALLY don’t want him to be back with the ninja and love it. I would love to see him with them and hate it, him staying to himself is nice, but I absolutely don’t ever want him to just stay with them and warm up, no. Random people are telling you they’re your family, he shattered his goodness, you don’t just believe that or trust people like that. With that logic, he should have gone back to the administration/stayed with Ras.

I also don’t trust that his development won’t be his if he would be with them. Ninjago writers often like making his development start with others (both of his seasons are literally with him losing others, while, for example, Zane’s season is with him sacrificing himself for others, Kai’s season is him setting himself on a journey to find his parents, find out they’re bad guys, then not) (I MEAN that they’re more complex than ‘loses everyone and steps up’) (I do like that, both Skybound and Prime Empire are my top seasons, but it could’ve been even better if s12 would’ve been with Jay being on a journey to find his mother, or with s6 if it was with him realizing his boundaries problems without it having to do anything with Nya or whatever)

"𝐢 𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐧𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐢’𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥! 𝐢𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞!" i started raising my voice out of instinct. i never meant to but it was just the heat of the moment.

"𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐢 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝. 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭." my chest started to feel heavy with all these emotions surrounding me.

"𝐢 𝐝𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐤𝐚, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭!" tears threatened to spill from my eyes, spilling my heart out just to earn another sigh from her.

"𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭- 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐲/𝐧. 𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞. 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭." before i could respond she hung up leaving me alone with all of my thoughts.

i plugged my phone onto the charger and curled up into a ball in my bed hoping it will all just pass by soon

by the time i woke up my eyes were all puffy from crying the night before. i got up and started brushing my teeth when i got a knock on my door.

i quickly finished brushing my teeth and opened the door. there was no one there but i looked down and picked up what was left.

it was a bouquet of red and pink roses with a note attached to them. i closed the door to my apartment and sat at on a stool at my kitchen counter as i grabbed the note and read it.

i smiled as i finished reading the note as i carefully set it down as i rushed to pick up my phone and sent a quick text to nika.

i pressed sent and now it was time to wait for the game to start. i decided to do some chores around my apartment to waste time till it started.

by the time i finished mopping the game finally started. i quickly turned on my tv and started watching the live stream. once i saw nika appear on screen i swear my smile couldn't have been wider.

i watched her play throughout the whole game and she was amazing. at the end of the 4th quarter she scored the winning basket. i quickly jumped up in joy as she started celebrating, as the camera panned over to her she quickly ran to the bench to pick up a poster board and held it up to the camera.

i swear i almost passed out when i saw that i put my hands over my mouth in shock not expecting her to do that. she flashed a smile to the camera before going back to her teammates to finish celebrating and finish off the game by high-fiving the other team.

forget everything about last night, nika is my happiness and joy and i know that i am hers too. no argument will ever get between us we'll always figure it out.

nika and i were meant for each other and no amount of arguing is ever going to change that, and tonight just proved that.
