i do think it's interesting that even when knowing his future on mortis (hello vader foreshadowing to the point of just saying this is going to happen outright), anakin STILL turns to the dark side immediately. the Brother promises peace, and anakin's just like ok bet KNOWING who he is. I know it's to prevent the future he sees, which despite the Father's assurances, the audience knows WILL happen, but it's still telling.

also, love the parallels to RotS of anakin bringing balance to the planet by everyone dying. the Father, the Daughter, and the Son. Granted, he was only responsible for the Son's death, which is ironic in and of itself.

i find anakin to be the most compelling when he is struggling to find his way like in this arc. there is something unmatched about vader foreshadowing, it hits every time for me.

the epilogue gave us nothing regarding their relationship, but we have a slightly melancholy gin-san who has failed to keep his promises to shoyo and takasugi and zura who literally keeps appearing as a ghost of sorts?? The “back to the beginning” happy ending??? how do they even look at each other without being reminded of what they have lost???

What if portal ford ended up in a situation so desperate that he was forced to accept Bill's help for something that seems harmless enough at first, but then Bill keeps whittling him down over time, popping over to help with little things more and more, in ways that end up putting ford in even worse situations in the multiverse long-term, and then eventually he reaches the point where he is willing to seriously consider re-joining Bill, with the thought that "if I lve managed to remember how evil he is for this long, surely I'm capable of remembering that while pretending to join him in order to take him down" and then he ends up slowly being dragged back into being in some kind of weird messy relationship with Bill again, and then from there he ends up re-living the same kinds of manipulation that happened the first time, and Bill ruins his life AGAIN
