Actually so insane about the way they never say Gabe's name until the end of the show because like... how long has this been going on. How long did Diana just keep her name in her heart but never said it out loud because it would shatter the illusion. What if Dan just thought that by erasing his name he could pretend nothing ever happened, and yet he could never escape it because it was all his wife would talk about. Was Natalie ever even told her brother's name

And like I'm pretty sure she was told his name at some point but thinking she wasn't just makes Superboy and the invisible girl so much worse because all along she has been forced to live with this loss except. He was never real to her. He was a ghost nobody would even tell her about and all she knew was that she would never be him

And all along Gabe is right here begging for someone to just name him so it can all be over. Except they can't.

another thing that gets me about superboy & the invisible girl in N2N is when diana tells natalie "you were our perfect plan"

because yeah. that's exactly what she was. natalie was always just the way her parents would escape their grief for gabe. she was never actually real to them.

Further painful thoughts that I need to throw on others: Dan's "it's going to be fine. It's going to be fine. Gonna go back to the doctor because we caught it just in time" was probably going through his head the night Gabe died too.

One of my favourite details in NTN is when Dr Madden is singing:

"Walk with me, go all the way down, down a long flight of stairs, go step by step into the darkness down there."

in Make Up Your Mind, and Gabe is doing exactly that on the stage behind him because Diana can't leave him behind.
